Hey guys. Thank you for the reviews after the last chapter and also the condolences it's been a tough few days but we are slowly getting there. Here's the next one for you and I really hope you like it, it's heavy and I'm sorry for that but I'm hoping it's been worth the wait.
"Are you sure she's ready for this?" Antonio asked his sister, the two Dawson tucked away in the doorway watching as Stella paced up and down the break room.
"She said she is, I don't know what changed. We were shopping and she just started talking and then she asked me to come with her. For whatever reason she doesn't want Kelly here but if that's how she wants to do it I won't tell her it's wrong."
"Do you think she's told him?"
"No, in fact I know she hasn't. When we got in the car she sat for ages with my phone in her hand, I thought she was going to call him when she asked if she could borrow it. But she just sat there starring at it."
"So he doesn't know your here?"
"No, he hasn't got a clue."
Antonio shook his head, from what he'd seen earlier that morning there were defiantly more feelings between the two firefighters than just friendship and he had been sure that if Stella would have wanted anyone in that room with her when she revealed everything, when she laid it all out, he had been sure that person would have been the man she had been clinging to. But it wasn't him that stood here with her now, it was his sister, his baby sister and he wasn't sure she was all that prepared for what she may hear in that room. Antonio had been a detective for years, he started his career when Gabby was a teenager, he'd seen his fair share of abuse cases and he had some idea of how this interview was going to go, he had some idea of the type of things that may be said when they went in to that room. What he wasn't sure of was if his sister was prepared, if she knew that some of what she may hear would far suppress her worse fear of things that had been done to her friend.
"Gabs are you sure you can do this?" he questioned carefully, the blank stare he received from her telling him he was going to explain what he meant, "Some of what Stella may say... she may have been through..." he swallowed trying to gather his thoughts and push his concern for her aside, "It's not going to be easy to hear sis. And I just want to make sure that you can do this, you can sit in there and support her?"
The younger Dawson rolled her eyes, he'd always been protective over her, trying to keep her out of harms way and stop her from seeing the worst of the world. His ten years on her had lead him to see some horrible things, especially as a cop in Chicago but she too had seen her fair share, as a paramedic out of fifty one she'd seen enough, she'd witnessed abuse victims, she'd heard some things. And although she knew there was no way to know exactly what Stella had been through until she told them, she had a fairly good idea from some of the conversations they'd scooted around. "I know Tonio, it won't be easy, I'm not going to lie and say I will be able to control my anger or my shock or whatever but I can support her. She needs me to support her."
"Ok" he said, patting her on the shoulder. For as much as he would prefer for his baby sister to be spared from the details, he also knew Gabby. She was fierce and determined and if she was going to do this nothing he or anyone else said was going to stop her. "You ready?"
"Yup, let me go get her settled and then you can come in and do whatever it is you need to."
"Ok" he said nodding his head before heading off towards Lindsay's desk.
Gabby walked slowly into the room not wanting to spook her friend who had been lost in her own head while she paced the small space in front of her. "Stella" she said carefully, her voice steady and soft.
Stella's head snapped up at the sound of her name, her teary brown eyes meeting with Dawson's. "Antonio's just going to get what he needs and then we can get started, do you need anything? Water? I can make us some tea?" She offered waving her hand towards the small kitchen.
"I'm... err maybe some water." She said, sitting down in a chair at the small round table.
"You sure you're ready for this?" Gabby asked, it was the same question she'd asked multiple times since they'd left the mall, the woman having to be completely sure that Kidd was ready for this, that she wasn't pushing herself into because she felt like she had to.
"Completely sure Gabs. I've got to do this, if I don't he might go on to do it to someone else and then what? What if he kills the next person, what if he..." She cut herself off, shaking her head as her unspoken thought washed over her. She swallowed the lump resting in her throat, focusing her eyes on the glass of water her friend had just placed in front of her and said "I'm sure."
"Ok" Gabby said sitting down next to her. She knew there was nothing else to be said, Stella was as determined as she was and she knew that if she said she was sure then she was sure.
They sat in silence for the next five minutes, waiting for Antonio and Lindsay to come in. The silence wasn't tense or thick, there was a calmness about it, a calmness that shocked both the woman in the room, Stella especially, this morning the air had been thick, her body held nerves she couldn't shake and the tension had given her a headache but now in this moment it was calm, no exception, no fear and no nerves. She was ready, she knew it wouldn't be easy that once she started talking the flood gates would open and there would be no stopping it. There'd be no going back but it was that thought that seemed to be grounding her, that seemed to be keeping her calm. The thought of once she'd done this there would be people that knew, people that saw her and knew everything she had overcome. There'd be no hiding anymore, she could be herself, she could have those moments of weakness where she'd let the effects of everything that had happened to her overwhelm and control her and there would be people there that knew, that understood and could help her.
"Ok Stella before we get started I have to ask, are you sure you're ready? I know this morning you couldn't, that you didn't want, or couldn't speak to us. So before we set up and start. Are you ready?" Antonio asked, the detective already sensing something different about the woman that sat in front of him.
"I'm ready" she confirmed, the firmness and surety in her voice shocking them all.
"Ok, well once we've set up the camera we will start in the same way we did this morning, I need you to state your name, what you do and your relationship to Grant."
"Ok" she nodded, taking a sip of her water. Mentally preparing herself for the lengthy conversation they were about to have.
After a few moments they were ready, Antonio asking again for Stella to state her name and other details. Once that was done he said "Thank you. Can you now please walk us through what happened the night of February 12th?"
Stella nodded her head, taking a deep breath and started "I was working Molly's, the bar that some of the firefighters of our house own. I wasn't supposed to be working, it wasn't my shift but Gabby, that is Gabriela Dawson" she glanced towards the woman sat next to her flashing her a weak smile before continuing, "she'd asked if I wanted to join her. She was closing that shift and I'd been off all shift the day before so she thought it would be good for me."
"Off as in you weren't at work?" Erin asked.
"No" Stella said shaking her head "off as in upset, and quiet. I was kinda distant all day and she was worried about me."
"Why were you upset? Had something happened?"
Stella gulped she knew Gabby already knew what she was about to say, but it hadn't been from her she'd heard it and she wasn't completely sure what she'd been told. "Grant and I, we'd gotten into a fight. He trashed the apartment and then he... he he hit me."
"What was the fight about?"
"I hadn't checked his pill supply, and it was empty. He was mad because he needed a fix and couldn't have one. I contacted his dealer Kelvin and when I tried to speak to him, to tell him that it was ok and Kelvin was on his way he threw a glass at me. When that missed he picked up the ashtray and threw that, it hit my cheek and left me with a cut. I managed to get him to look at me and see me, but when he went to apologize and touch me I shy'ed away I didn't want him touching me. That... that only made him angrier." She paused again, taking a moment to steady her rapidly increasing heart rate before she could continue, the woman knowing that what she said next was going to rock even the steadiest of people. "He... he threw me about a little and then he dragged me through to the bedroom... he he, he tossed me onto the bed and pinned me down. I tried to fight him but he just kept punching me in the stomach, over and over until I gave in. Then he..." her words trailed off again. The usually strong firefighter almost on the verge of breaking down as she tried to explain what happened next.
Gabby shared a look with her brother, both of them reflecting through their eyes the same message, whatever had happened to the woman next wasn't good.
"He raped me" she whispered, everyone's eyes snapping back to focus on her. Her head bowed downwards, her hands wriggling together in her lap. The silence that had taken over the room was one of pure shock, the younger Dawson taking in short choppy breaths as her own tears brimmed at the edges of her eyes. Her worst fear being confirmed. He'd assaulted her, he'd forced himself upon her and done the most animalistic thing he could have done. He'd not only beaten her, he'd defiled her body in a way that was disgusting and unforgivable. The thought made her feel sick, the warm bile rising in her throat as she sat there those three words reverting around her head.
"He raped me" she whispered again, thick drops of tears cascading down her cheeks and splashing against the circular table in front of her.
"Stella" Lindsay said reaching her hand out gently towards her. "I'm so sorry."
Stella shook her head, she couldn't meet the detectives eyes, she couldn't meet any of their eyes. If she was going to continue this she couldn't look at them, she just had to say it, to get it out there.
"So he did... he finished and Kelvin arrived. If he knew what had happened I don't know but I'd be surprised if he didn't." She said trying to clear the emotion from her voice. "He gave him his fix and left. Then in the morning I was late for work so Dawson and Brett, our paramedics on sixty one, they came to make sure everything was ok. I brushed them off and said I'd fallen and that's how I'd got the mark on my cheek. And that I'd just over slept. Which wasn't exactly a lie, I had slept through my alarm but I didn't tell them anything else. I went to work, and tried to forget everything that had happened. I just wanted to do my job and not think about what was waiting for me at home but he called and I could tell he was angry. He started shouting that I was lazy and demanding to know why I hadn't cleaned the apartment up. I tried to tell him I didn't have time and I had to get to work but that just made him angrier, by the end of the phone call he was threatening me..."
It was several minutes before anyone spoke again Stella having stopped to take a sip of water, the woman yet to begin talking again. Everyone could see she was struggling, struggling with the words she needed to say, and how to explain to them the things she'd suffered.
"Stella do you need to take a break" Antonio asked gently, his eyes darting between his sister and her friend.
She shook her head vigorously "no, no, I'm ok." She said, although the weaker tone to her voice was anything but convincing. Antonio gave her a short nod, the man remaining quiet as she began to talk them through what had happened next, how she'd been on her way to say something to Kelly, how her hand had been on his door before the bells went off. She explained how she was going to speak with him after the call but then it was a rough one and they were all preoccupied with the processing of it all. How she hadn't wanted to lay on anymore to what he was, what they all were dealing with, so she kept quiet.
"... then Grant came by, I wasn't expecting him and his presence made me nervous. I wasn't sure if I'd done something wrong and he was there to make me pay for it..."
Gabby eyes fell closed at the choice of words her friend had used, 'that she'd done something wrong' even now after everything they'd told her, after every reassurance of it not being her fault her words alone told her that she didn't believe that. That it was so ingrained into her that she naturally shouldered the blame when there wasn't any for her to take. It wasn't her fault, none of it was her fault. 'He was there to make me pay', pay she'd used the word pay as if it was her due, her comeuppance like she'd deserved every beating, every foul word spat at her. And the very thought made Gabby's skin crawl, made her hatred for the man her friend was married to increase.
"... when we were in the locker room he pushed me up against the lockers and held me there while he asked again if I'd told anyone anything. He kept accusing me of sleeping with Kelly. And then he.. he" she glanced at Gabby, the brunette placing a reassuring hand on her knee and squeezing gently, she knew what Stella was struggling to say. She'd been told not more than an hour ago. But hearing her whisper those words again hadn't become any easier. "He said he'd kill me if I said anything."
It was nearly two hours later that she finally finished detailing everything, the woman recounting each and every attack she'd endured. By the end of the interview each of them had shed their own tears, some of the things she disclosed being so harrowing that it broke them all. And although it took several breaks, deep breaths and reassurances she'd managed it, she'd managed to speak about her darkest moments, the secrets she had held close to her for so long. All of them rushing out. What shocked them most of all was the repeated sexual attacks she'd endured, the woman disclosing how she'd wake to find him on top of her pinning her to the bed, or how he'd enter her shower and pin her against the wall in a similar way to what he had done that first time.
Gabby had, had to go empty her stomach when she heard Stella disclose an incident at the firehouse, how Grant had come by late at night high, how she'd tried to keep him out of the house and he'd dragged her into the gear room just off the apparatus floor and how she'd been raped in the one place she'd always felt safe throughout it all. How he'd taken that sense of security away from her in that very moment, and how each time she walked past that room now she was reminded of what he'd done to her in there.
When all was said and done they were all mentally exhausted, Stella's puffy eyes reflecting how they all felt. The sadness in the air around them filling their bodies as they all tried to process what they'd heard.
"I'm so proud of you" Gabby said, once Antonio and Erin had made their exit, the detectives telling them to take as much time as they needed.
Stella placed her head on Dawson's shoulder the woman wanting to be close to her friend and Gabby wasted no time wrapping her arms around her, the both of them shedding tears faster than they could push them away.
"You did really well Stella. I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. That he did all that to you."
Stella said nothing, she sat silently sobbing into her friend for a further ten minutes all the while Gabby whispered soothing things as she rubbed up and down her back.
"Are you ready to go?"
Still she said nothing, the short nod of her head being the only response to the question she'd been asked. Slowly they stood, Stella using Gabby to steady herself, her head once again pounding, the steady drumming inside her skull unbalancing her momentarily.
"Come on let's get you home."
Stella fumbled in her bag searching for the key he'd given her before they'd left the cafe earlier. Gabby watching as she rooted around mumbling how she knew it was in here somewhere. Before she could suggest that maybe they should just knock the door swung open Kelly obviously hearing the noise just outside his front door, stood shirtless and watching both the woman.
"What happened?" He said concern filling his voice as he took in Stella's puffy and tear stained face. "Dawson?"
"Let's get inside and I'll tell you everything." The tense look Gabby was wearing didn't do anything to ease his concerns but he stepped aside to let them in anyway. Stella moving straight to her room and closing the door behind them only increased his worries the man looking between her closed door and a sheepish looking Dawson.
"We were shopping and I asked if she was ok" she saw Kelly sigh, he had a feeling he knew where this was going but nothing prepared him for what she said next, "she started to tell me some things and she said she was scared because Grant had threaten to kill her if she told anyone, she said she was worried that he'd come back to finish the job and then she just became really worked up. She thought maybe he was following us, and I don't know why but she decided there and then that she wanted to press charges." She saw the shocked look that flashed across his face and knew what he was thinking, "I didn't push her, and to be honest when I asked if she was alright I meant about being on her feet for so long but that's not the point. She said she wanted to tell the police everything, said she wanted me to be with her."
"When she doing it?" Kelly asked.
"We.. erm... she already has." Gabby replied.
"What?"
"We went straight there, we didn't even finish shopping. We've spent the past few hours giving her statement. Kelly... did you know?" She asked carefully, the woman still reeling from the things she'd heard today. "That he... did you know?"
He nodded his head sadly, "she told me that day at the hospital, when I took her into the courtyard. She told me he'd... that he forced himself into her shower and she told me."
Gabby wasn't sure if he knew more than that one occasion but she knew that he needed to speak to Stella, she was sure that part of why she hadn't wanted him there today was because of how he'd reacted after her admission. The woman now understanding more and more why Stella had shut down from him after him going quiet on her, she thought he was repulsed by what happened to her. She hadn't said it out loud but knowing that he knew and then refused to speak to her or touch her, she could tell what her friend had been thinking. "Kelly.. she told you and then you... god Kelly!"
"I know, I know." He shook his head, he was furious with himself over how he had handled things, he knew he'd hurt her that day, he knew he'd reacted in the absolute worst way. But he wasn't sure how to approach the subject when she just shut down each time he did. "Why didn't you call me?"
"What?"
"When you knew she was going to give her statement, why didn't you call me and tell me, I would have met you there."
Gabby ran her hand across her mouth, the paramedic aware that her next words were going to hurt the man stood in front of her. "She didn't want you there." She said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. Kelly's face falling as the words left her lips, the mans tough outer layer crumbling away as he stumbled backwards into the kitchen, plonking himself down on the nearest stool as he took deep breaths trying to steady himself. She hadn't wanted him there, she'd said that. Those words cut through him like a knife and he knew this was his fault, if only he hadn't treated her like she'd done something wrong that day, if only he'd spoken to her about it.
"Kel, you've got to talk to her. This shutting each other out it's not healthy." Gabby said coming to stand next to him. "She's scared, and confused and she needs her friend, she needs you. And I think you need her too."
"I know" he said shaking his head, I'll talk to her."
"Today Kelly" Gabby said sternly giving him her classic Dawson glare, "you'll speak to her today."
He nodded in response, the man knowing there was nothing more to say. It was no use arguing with her, she'd been his venting board for the past few weeks she knew as well as he did how he felt for the woman in the other room and he knew that she wasn't going to allow him to tiptoe around it any longer. The conversation had to be had, it was due, long over due actually.
"I'll leave you to it" she said kissing him softly on the cheek, "and Kelly don't screw this up."
"I won't." He whispered back.
It was two hours later that Stella emerged from her room wearing a oversized T-shirt and some shorts, the woman having been asleep when Kelly had tried to go speak with her earlier and as much as he wanted to speak to her the moment Gabby had left, however much he had desperately wanted to wake her up and tell her everything, he also knew she needed her rest. Kidd still recovering from her surgeries and the effects of the beating she'd taken, and the doctor had told them she needed as much rest as possible, so he'd left her to sleep as difficult as it was to walk away, he had done exactly that because it was what was right for her and that was much more important than anything he needed to get off his chest.
Severide was sat on the couch watching the Blackhawks game, the sound muted as he sipped in his beer. "Hey" he said as she sat down next to him, "how was your nap?"
"It was good, just what I needed." She said, a sheepish look covering her face as she watched him. "So err.. I'm guessing Gabby filled you in?" She asked.
"She did" he confirmed with a nod of his head.
"I'm sorry" she whispered, Kelly turning to see a single tear running down her cheek.
"Hey.. look at me" he said gently placing his hand under her chin, "there is nothing to be sorry for, I'm so proud of you Stella after everything this morning you still managed to find the strength to go back and do what needed to be done."
"But I shut you out, I didn't tell you. I should have called you and told you, I was going to, I had Gabby's phone in my hand and I almost did but I... I.." she took a deep breath, "I didn't want you to look at me like you did when I told you about the... about the time he.. the shower incident."
It was Kelly's turn to take a deep breath, the man knowing that this conversation was about to get a whole lot deep than the surface level stuff they'd be doing the past few days. "Stella the way I acted that day, it had nothing to do with what you told me."
"It's ok Kelly.."
"No" he cut her off, "it was nothing to do with what you told me and so much to do with me. About me and you. My feelings for you."
"I... uh.. what?"
"I love you Stella, I'm in love with you. And I was scared, I am scared. I should have told you, damn I wish I'd told you sooner and I'm sorry if I made you feel like you had done something wrong in telling me what Grant did, I never ever want you to feel like you can't tell me things, like you have to hold back from telling me things."
Stella sat staring at him the woman completely taken off guard by his comment. Kelly loved her, Kelly Severide was in love with her. No she can't have heard him right, he wasn't that type of a man. He was a one night stand kinda guy, he didn't develop feelings for people, no this was just the stress of what had happened, if anything this was his way of dealing with it. He wasn't in love with her, he couldn't be, she wasn't worthy of his love.
"You.. erm.. you don't mean that" she said a slight edge to her voice, "you don't catch feelings Kelly, especially not for people like me."
"I love you Stella Kidd! I'm one thousand per cent sure about it."
"Then why did you shy away from me after I told you about Grant, you wouldn't speak to me. You wouldn't even hold my hand!" her voice was raising slightly, the woman becoming flushed with confusion and fear. A touch of anger coming out at her forceful tone. "If you loved me, why did you make me feel like crap! Why did you ignore me for the rest of the day.. why did you pretend to be asleep each time I tried to talk to you?"
"I'm sorry."
"Kelly, you can't do this you can't tell me you love me and then shut down and not answer my questions. God damn it Severide!"
He flinched at the harsh tone she used as she shouted his last name, the informal way they'd speak at work taking him of guard. He could see he'd confused her, upset her even and that was the very last thing he had ever wanted to do. Maybe he'd gone about this all wrong, maybe he needed to have explained what happened for the sudden change in him before he'd declared his love for her.
"Why?" She asked again her stare firmly on him, he could tell she wanted, no, she needed answers from him and he knew this conversation wasn't going to be easy.
"After you told me what he'd done you shut down, you said you were tired and when we got back to your room you went to sleep. I stayed with you for a while but my legs had gone to sleep so I decided to go for a walk and wake them up again. I thought it might help me clear my head too." He told her, her harsh gaze never faltering as he walked her through the events of that afternoon. "I just kept thinking to myself if I had admitted to you earlier how I felt maybe I could have stopped a lot of what happened. But my heart and head were telling me two different things." He paused again taking a sip of his beer before continuing on.
"In my heart I knew how I felt, I still do. But my head was battling with it. I've not been the best person to women and I don't want to do to you what I've done to so many others before. I don't want to hurt you Stella."
"Why didn't you just tell me this?"
"I was going to" he saw her raise her eyebrow at him out the corner of his eye and knew she probably didn't fully believe him. "I was, I'd made my mind up that when you woke up that afternoon I was going to tell you."
"Then what changed? Why didn't you? Because when you came into my room Kelly it was like the exact opposite thing, the way you were acting it was like you felt absolutely nothing for me. And after you'd been so loving and sweet... you can't blame me for thinking it was what I told you."
"I know and I truly am sorry. My intention was never to hurt you. God I messed that up." He paused taking her hands in his, the gentle feel of her fingertips against his skin instantly calming him as he forced himself to keep eye contact with her. "When I was in the waiting area I bumped into someone. An old... someone I used to get with."
"A girlfriend?"
"Not really, we never really got that far. But we'd hook up, for about six months we'd get together when... well we hooked up."
"You used her." Stella said pointedly rolling her eyes.
"Yes" he admitted, although the admission made him feel like crap he knew she was right. He had used her, repeatedly. "I'm not proud of the way I used to be, and I'd like to think I'm becoming a better man, a better person. But yes I used her, and when she started to catch feelings I ran."
Stella shook her head, it was no secret that the squad lieutenant had been less than careful with woman in the past. Stella having heard various stories from the guys in the house about the long line of broken hearts he'd left behind but hearing it from his lips left a bitter taste in her mouth. Kelly was pretty certain he heard her whisper something under her breath, something along the lines of calling him a coward but he tried not to dwell on it, after all she was right, he had been a coward, for years now he'd run at the first sign of anything remotely serious.
"But I bumped into her and she.. I could tell she's still hurt from what went down between us. She told me not to screw it up.. that you must be someone really special to have me looking like I did. And to not screw it up. After that I couldn't tell you. I couldn't come in there and tell you how I was really feeling because I was scared, scared that one day you could look at me like she did. That one day you'd hate me like she does."
"I.. I don't really know what to say?" She said after a few moments of tense silence, her voice shaking slightly as she tried to keep a lid on her emotions.
"Look I'm sorry I came back to your room and made you feel like I didn't want to or couldn't look at you, I promise you it wasn't that. I.. You mean so much to me Stella and I don't want to rush anything, I don't want to hurt you and I don't... I can't.."
"What, what is it?"
He took a deep breath knowing that this next part was going to be even harder than the first bit of their conversation, this was the bit he hadn't even admitted to himself before last week and truthfully saying it out loud to another person, to her was making him doubt everything he thought he knew to be true. "Before you knew me, I was engaged, almost married actually. She was amazing, we'd know each other for years and I truly thought she was the one. A few days before our wedding she told me she'd slept with someone else and it.. it crushed me. What she did to me, I'm not sure I could survive that happening again. If I take this leap with you I give you that power, you can at any given chance rip my heart out of my chest and I don't think I'd survive. I barely survived the first time and you.. you mean so much to me Stella. I was in love with her, and if we'd had gotten married I know I'd still be happy with her now, maybe even have a few little Kelly's running around but she had nothing on you. The way you make me feel, the strong need to be near you, to protect you. It's different, I didn't even know this feeling existed until I met you."
A thick silence fell between the two of them, both of them reeling from the information just laid out in front of them. Neither knowing what to say to each other, while simultaneously knowing that the conversation was only the tip of the ice berg. She was still married, she'd barely even had chance to allow everything that had happened in the disaster of a marriage sink in, he didn't know even a fraction of what had gone on and more than anything they had no idea on how to make this work. Stella knew she had more than friendship feelings for the man in front of her and his confession had only intensified the feeling but she shared his fears, if she let this happen she was opening herself up to more hurt, more heartache. If they jumped into this, and it didn't work...
"Kelly" her quiet voice causing his eyes to dart up to her, the man seeing the uncertainty that rested in her eyes, the thin layer of doubt about what he'd just said and whether it was all true. The small voice in his own head telling him that she couldn't quite let herself believe him, at least not at the minute. "I.. I can't not now."
"I know" he said his gut feeling like he'd been sucker punched. Her words hurting him more than he thought they would, he knew she wasn't ready for a relationship and he understood why, in fact he'd expected it when he decided to tell her how he felt. But that didn't make it any easier to hear, it didn't make her soft words any easier to swallow. "I don't expect you to do this right now, but you deserve to know. I couldn't keep it from you any longer and after the hospital, after why you thought I'd gone quiet.. I just needed you to know that it wasn't anything you'd done or said." He squeezed her hands gently the two of them getting lost in each others eyes as they sat there staring at each other.
"I.. erm.. do you, are you hungry?" she asked tearing her eyes away from him. The conversation wasn't over, far from it but the heavy feeling in the air was making it difficult for her to breath and she just needed some time to think. Time to think and not get lost in those beautiful blue pools that were his eyes.
"I could eat" he shrugged watching as she stood up and headed towards the kitchen. "Stella?"
She shook her head, "not now Kelly. I need to think, please."
"Ok." He said moving into the kitchen to help her, "So what are we making?"
So there we have it. Kelly has told her how he feels and revealed a bit of his history. Stella rightfully so is scared.. Where do they go from here? What's this going to do for their friendship, will she be able to reveal more to him now? She's already told Gabby, and CPD. I'm excited to hear what you all think, and how we are all feeling? Let me know in the comments... please.
