One day, a group of jungle animals, a hustle of deer and a langur family from the Terai, found Nanga in the cradle. They cannot speak human, but they feel that he's the one worthy of surviving a risky life. They then carry him off in order to run away from the Yeti that chewed off Nanga's whole family.
Once they find a safe place for him to grow, they grow and die with him even as he grows rather slowly, unlike them, who grow fairly fast but are still medium to large sized animals.
