This is a new thing for me, I've been writing this for a while now and only just felt brave enough to publish.
Waring this story involves spanking in a punishment context, and a sexual context as well as many M rated features. If it isn't your thing then don't read.
This is purely fictional and my own idea, I do not own Chicage fire or any of the characters. I have chosen to write this as if Shay never died, there will be some crossover with actual events from the show, and references to Chicago PD and Chicago Med later on.
"So Candidate how do you think your first day is going?" Lieutenant Casey asked the newest addition to the firehouse with a twinkle of knowing in his eye.
"Not to badly" replied Dawson, Gabriela Dawson wasn't entirely new to Firehouse 51 in fact she'd been here for 6 years already but today was her first day as candidate on truck 81, before today she had been medic in charge on ambo 61. She'd actually applied to be a firefighter years before but only recently been accepted into and made her way through the academy.
"I think I'm settling in well, and I haven't made any silly mistakes yet. Well as far as I know" she continued "have there been any complaints Lieutenant?"
"No candidate, I was just checking in" replied Casey "you know where I am if you need anything?" He asked with a wink.
"That I do Lieutenant" smiled Gabby with a knowing look only lovers can give. Gabriela Dawson and Matthew Casey were of course no usual Lieutenant and Candidate they were in fact lovers, engaged recently however the rest of the house didn't know that little bit of information. As far as they were concerned Gabby and Matt had broken off their relationship when she got the candidate spot at 51, the only people in the know were their best friends Severide and Shay. Lieutenant Severide was in charge of Squad 3 who were also based at station 51, and Shay had been Gabby's partner on ambo 61 the past 5 and half years. Even the chief wasn't in the loop, they thought it was best to keep as few people in the loop as possible to avoid further complicating what was already a complex situation.
"In which case you are dismissed Candidate"
"Yes Lieutenant"
"Close the door on the way out please"
Gabby left the office with a smile, it was comforting to know that even at work Matt was checking in on her, it had been a tough couple of weeks since Jones' suicide and Gabby had taken it hard. Even though they hadn't been best buddies throughout the academy she had come to respect and even like Jones after uncovering the way her father had tried to sabotage her career, if only Gabby had been at Molly's that night and not staying at Matts, maybe she could have talked her round. Gabby shook her head it did no good to dwell on it now, nothing could change what happened. She gathered herself and headed to her new "desk" the kitchen.
"Oh there she is! Our new candidate, when's dinner?" Hermann shouted across to her as she entered the common room
"Good evening to you too" Gabby retorted.
"Oh this candidate is a smart mouthed one" he said collectively to the room, "what you say we make her scrub those showers again lads?" There was a hum of agreement around the room, Gabby mentally kicked herself, she'd been at 51 long enough to know how they dealt with smart mouths.
"Off you go" Hermann said pointing to the wash rooms.
"Made that mistake quickly didn't you candidate? You going to smart mouth Hermann again?" Gabby looked up at her Lieutenant and rolled her eyes before looking back at the last shower cubical to make sure she had done it properly.
Standing up she clapped her hands together and said "there! All done."
"Watch it candidate, you don't want to find out what the punishment for smart mouthing your Lieutenant is" he gave her a small tap on her ass and smiled at her, knowing full well she knew what he meant.
"Sorry Lieutenant, I wasn't trying to be a smart mouth to you. Just meant to say I'm all done sir, shall I move onto dinner now?"
Matt smiled at his fiancée "yes I think that would be wise, you know how they get if they aren't fed promptly" he leant in towards her and whispered in her ear "roll your eyes at me again on shift and I'll deal with that at home" he tapped her ass again and walked off "dinner better be ready in 20 candidate or I'll be finding something else for you to scrub!"
Dawson leant back against the cubical and smiled she knew how much Matt hated her rolling her eyes and she knew exactly what the punishment would be if she did it again. The thought made every inch of her tingle, she was happy that they were finally getting back to normality, well as normal as things could be with her secret fiancé now being her boss too.
The rest of the shift was uneventful and by 8am the next day they were heading off and handing over to day shift. Casey was just heading out when Bowden called him into the office, "close the door Casey. So how was Dawson's first shift, do you think she's got what it takes?"
"She's definitely got potential sir. Just got to work on that smart mouth of hers but I'm sure between me and the rest of truck she'll soon be in top shape"
"And your personal stuff that's not erm you know awkward" Bowden said slightly awkwardly.
"No sir, both me and Dawson finished on good terms we know this was the only way to keep her at the house, and to be truthful to you I don't think any other house was or would be right for her right now. You know after all that happened with Jones?"
"Yes yes I agree, right anyway enjoy your day Casey I'll see you next shift"
"Yes sir and you."
OOOOOOO
It had been 4 weeks since Dawson first started on truck and all was going well and had been rather uneventful, sure she'd had to clean the showers more times than she could count when her mouth had run away with her but overall she was settling in just fine and all was working out the way she'd hoped.
"Truck 81, squad 3, ambulance 61 fire at town house"
Everyone jumped into action and rushed to the scene where the town house was almost completely ablaze. They all jumped out and Casey started with the orders
"Dawson, Mills vent the roof! Hermann, Cruz inside for primary search and be careful it doesn't look like we've got much time. Otis you're with me, let's go."
Everyone launched into action and rescued all the people inside the building, as they were packing up Dawson was moaning to Mills that she's always left to do the "weak jobs"
"I mean I went to the academy too, I can do primary searches, but noooo Dawson stand there and don't move, Dawson vent the roof, Dawson attach the hose, but never Dawson..."
"DAWSON!" Yelled Lieutenant Casey, "my office once you are cleaned up."
Oh shit thought Gabby, I'm in big trouble now.
Back at the house Gabby showered as slowly as she could to try and delay the impending conversation she needed to have with her Lieutenant. While drying her hair she wondered which man she was going to stand before her fiancé, Matt or her Lieutenant, Casey. As she threw the towel over the rail she sighed, no point in delaying it anymore, she walked round to the Lieutenant offices and knocked, he waved her in. She stood there with her hands behind her back and feet slightly apart. It didn't take long for her to realise just how much trouble she was in and who it was she was dealing with. Lieutenant Casey walked around the room drawing the blinds, while he lectured her "you are a candidate in this house! Am I correct?" He doesn't even wait for a response while he continues "therefore you will be where I tell you to be and when I tell you to be there, you will do the task I tell you to do without question and without moaning about it to your truck mates" he was walking around her and she could tell he was less than impressed, this went far further than a couple of back handed answers, no she was in a lot of trouble and maybe not just with her Lieutenant, only time would tell on that one though. Casey stopped suddenly right behind her, he stood staring at her almost willing her not to open her mouth and be smart, telling himself that if she kept her mouth shut than the stern talking to would be enough and he wouldn't have to take her in hand at work.
"Lieutenant?" Whispered Dawson, "permission to speak?"
"Permission denied candidate" said Casey with more enthusiasm than usual, he knew if he let her speak her mouth would run away with her like it had so many times before. It certainly wasn't the first time she'd found herself stood before her superiors waiting for punishment.
"But if I could just explain, what you heard, what I said. I didn't mean it like that, well I did but it came out wrong."
"Dawson if you know what's good for you I'd keep quiet"
Gabby spun round to face Matt and almost screamed in his face "no! No I will not keep quiet! I've got to say this, if I don't then things may not change"
"If you carry on you know what's going to happen don't you Dawson, I promised I would treat you the same as any other candidate and I will see that through, you know I will"
Dawson didn't seem bothered as she continued on her rant, she knew she'd end up with a sore ass, she knew the penalty for this type of behaviour but she had to say it, and if a spanking was what it took then so be it. It wouldn't be her first spanking in house after all, Bowden had had her bent over his desk and belted her more times than she cared to remember.
"I'm sorry Lieutenant but I've got to say it, I did go to the academy, I'm well aware of how a fire works and exactly what to do in one, but you won't let me. You promised to treat me like any other candidate but I've been on the job 4 weeks and not once have I entered a burning building! Not once! It's sucks. Just because I'm a bloody woman. Stop treating me like I may break! I won't! I just want to do my job!" She practically shouted the last bit in his face. "And if you could now get this done with I've got lunch to prepare" with that she bent over his bed and waited. Casey stood there for a moment shocked at the way she had just spoken to him, shocked by the disrespect but also proud that she'd spoken up. It's what he would have told her to do if she was at another house and they weren't letting her do her job, she was right he wasn't letting her do it properly because it scared him. But he had to stop treating her like his fiancée and start treating her like a candidate, any other candidate. He walked towards the desk and took the belt from the bottom draw, he still had to discipline her for the smart mouth she'd used on him even if he did agree with her.
"Candidate 15 with the belt, are you ready"
"Yes! Just get on with it" came her smart reply.
"Candidate!" He said warning her "use that tone again and it'll be 20!"
Gabby fell silent 15 was enough she'd made her point she wasn't going to carry on pushing it, she knew how much Casey could make the extras count when he wanted to drive the message home loud and clear.
CRACK! The first swat landed, she held position well and willed herself not to make any sound
CRACK
CRACK
CRACK
CRACK
CRACK, a small sob escaped from Gabby's lips. Matt struggled to ignore it as he continued to discipline his candidate. CRACK, CRACK, CRACK, CRACK
"If you ever speak like that again" CRACK
"you will find yourself back in this position" CRACK
"And next time it'll be double the amount" CRACK
"Do you understand me" CRACK
Gabby was full on sobbing by now, "yes Lieutenant" came the small reply
CRACK
Casey threw the belt back into the drawer and slammed it shut, he walked back round his desk and busied himself with paperwork.
Gabby lay face down on the bed for a few short moments trying to gather herself, before straightening her clothes and standing back in front of the desk.
"Dismissed candidate"
"Thank you Lieutenant"
