"Don't be amused, it's just the news with Nadja Chamack..."

Saturday morning and the news was on downs stairs at The Dupain-Cheng residence. Marinette's parents were going about their business in the kitchen when the news caster drew their attention.

"...We come to you today with an exclusive about Paris' own crime fighting duo..."

Sabine's ears picked up the broadcast, she, like many other residents of Paris, was very interested in the city's own team of heroes. The news cast continued...

"It would appear our city's heroes are not just focused on saving Paris, as this live video clip on the popular 'Lady Blog' shows-"

The whole clip was played out to the citizens who had tuned in to the morning's news- including- Alya's observation of where Chat Noir had fled to.

"-The clip, which was quickly removed from the site, also mentions Chat Noir's destination, after this apparent fall out with Ladybug..."

Sabine knew the name. "Tom, I think we best not open today," she suggested to him, turning to find her husband starring in disbelief at the screen.

"I think you're right Sabine," he agreed, "Marinette is probably not going to enjoy all of this attention.

"...could it be possible, that a spat with Ladybug, has pushed him into the arms of this Marinette?" The story wrapped. "In other news..."

Both Sabine and Tom sighed to each other and turned their attention in the direction of their daughters Loft room.

Marinette and Adrien had stayed up most of the night talking in each other's arms. Marinette had explained what had happened between her and Luka, how Luka had known that her heart had belonged to another, but had been kind and understanding about it. Her and Luka were still on good terms though when they saw each other, and there were no apparent hard feelings.

Marinette had brought down the duvet from her bed and laid it on the floor, along with pillows and a blanket to share, so they were able to lay next to each other. Whilst having multiple conversations, they had made shadow puppets on her wall using the soft glow from her bedside lamp, played eye spy and twenty questions true or false. Their respective Kwami had fallen asleep on Marinette's bed next to each other after discussing the nights events and gorging themselves on treats Marinette had brought up from the bakery. Cheese pastries for Plagg and macarons for Tikki.

"So, question seventeen," Adrien started with a twinkle in his eye. "You have had a thing for me since I handed you that umbrella-" He pointed to the folded black umbrella next to her desk, "-on my first day of school."

Marinette took a moment to answer.

"False." She said rather aloof.

"Care to explain?" Adrien was cuddling her from behind, one arm under her head, the other over her waist, their hands intertwined. He had a cheeky grin on his face while tickling her neck with his breath.

Marinette paused for a moment, contemplating her answer. "How do I put this?" She turned around and their faces were centimetres from each other. She had a look of bemusement on her face. "Up until that point, all I knew was that you were the son of a famous fashion designer, friends with ChloƩ and you were ferried back and fourth to school by your body guard. All these girls had swooned-" She said theatrically, "-over you and I thought you were just another rich kid." She started to play with his hair, brushing his face with her palm at the same time, this made him smile. "When you gave me that umbrella," she turned to face the ceiling, "I was intrigued." She smiled shyly and continued, "then I got to know you." She turned only her head to looked at him, cheeky grin on her face, "then I had a thing for you," she giggled and bopped his nose playfully.

Less than the length of her finger represented the distance between their faces as they looked at each other longingly.

'I can't believe he's here!' *internal scream of excitement*

Adrien looked into her eyes, "I can't believe I was so blind," he commented in disbelief.

"We found our way eventually," she replied, snuggling deeper into his embrace.

He loved having her in his arms, her petite frame fitted perfectly within his. "Eighteen," he continued their game with a cheeky Cheshire grin, "you purr-fer me as I am now, to me as Chat Noir-"

"Trick question," she cut in casually, "You are one and the same." She yawned, " you act differently in each role as you have a different purpose in each role, doesn't mean you are different people-"

"But you fell for me as Adrien-"

"Yes, but I learned to love you as Chat Noir, my wonderful Kitty and crime fighting partner." She pulled away slightly so she could see his face better. "You are my best friend and the person I love... I couldn't imagine either of my lives without you in them-"

"True or false did you just say you love me?" Adrien interluded quickly, getting up and resting on his elbow as he waited for her answer. Looking straight at her, staring deep into her eyes. The look of anticipation on his face beamed excitement. Marinette felt her cheeks blush deeply, as the heat radiated to her ears. Lips parted slightly, eyes wide as she looked up to him with her breath catching momentarily.

"True."

"I love you too Marinette..."

They both paused for a moment, matching smiles on their faces. Eyes gazing softly at each other, hearts racing.

Marinette's hand moved to the back of Adrien's neck and pulled him close, their lips touching for the first time.

They pulled apart after a few moments both smiling, hearts still beating fast, Marinette's fingers were absentmindedly playing with Adrien's hair at his nape. He came back down to lay next to her and pressed his lips against her forehead, snuggling her in tight to him again.

"I am never letting you go."

They fell asleep cuddling each other, happy and contented. Unbeknown to them, the events that the morning would bring.
