The bar was packed that evening as they waited on Brianna to arrive. The moment her car had driven away Spence had shifted and ran towards his pack in the woods. It had been one of their runs before he had left suddenly. He had smelt her cross the line and come to his door. How she had found him he didn't know until he came to work. There stood Pamela grinning ear to ear. "So how did your day go?" "So, it was you?" "Me? What did I do?" Spence just laughed and walked back into his office. He had told his alpha about the she-wolf. How she had chosen him. That she would be joining them. His one big question was...how did he plan to tell her. Spence had not thought much on it. It took everything in him not to mark her today. Especially after she said she was going back to the other male to break it off. Letting her leave his sight was painful, but she needed to know before he tied her to him. She had chosen him...not his wolf. The plan was to introduce her to the pack and maybe talk with her the next day. Try and explain what and why. She had gone her entire life without shifting. It could kill her to shift. If she didn't want to risk it, he would understand. Pam and Elizabeth took over serving the pack since they had closed the bar for a "private gathering", and Spence settled into his place next to Lawrence. Mavis was over joyed at the fact Brianna may be joining their pack.
She was bouncing so much that Lawrence had to place a hand on her shoulder to calm her. They had just pounded back a shot when a new customer walked in. The entire bar quieted as the pack took in the new wolf's smell. Spence recognized it immediately finding himself out of the booth and striding across the bar. "What do you want." He growled at the cowering male. He may not be part of his pack but he knew a beta when he saw one. "Spence?" "What's it to you? Come to try and start something because of my female? Wrong choice buddy." The male whimpered as Spence growled ready for a fight. "Brianna isn't coming." Spence howled and grabbed him by the collar and slamming him up against the wall. "What do you mean she isn't coming. What did you do wolf?!" "My alpha...he took her...I'm not strong enough." A fist came flying through the air putting a hole in the wall next to his head. "Spence! Put him down!" His alpha put a firm hand on his shoulder trying to calm him, but the wolf would not be calmed. Someone had his female. "TELL ME WHERE SHE IS!"
Brianna watched as Kyle left the room. She remembered him now. She didn't like him when they met in North Carolina and she sure as hell didn't like him now. Her face stung where he had slapped her. Of course, she had bitten him. He had dared to try and force feed her. After about an hour the door reopened revealing a very large blonde male standing at the door taking her in. "Good...he left you undressed like I asked. Wouldn't want your clothes having to be torn." Brianna became aware once again that she was wrapped in nothing but a towel. She had gotten used to its loose pressure. "Fuck you!" He took a few steps in closer to the bed and she saw the terrifying smirk he had on his face. "He said you were feisty. Good thing it's how I like my females."
The man took a seat on the bed next to her eying her mostly naked form. Based on the fact he had closed the door unlike Kyle she could only assume this was "Alpha". "Not too bad to look at either. What a mighty fine specimen Conner brought me. Maybe I was a little too harsh to the poor guy. It's not his fault he fell in love with something that doesn't belong to him." "I don't belong to you either wolf." She spit that last word out harshly baring her teeth. "I see Conner finally told you. Good. I might make your shift easier. So, let's see what we can make of you. I can tell by your scent that you are an artic wolf. That hair probably means you're going to be a beautiful pure white. And that fight...you are going to make a strong line of pups for me and my brothers." "I will NEVER be your breeding cattle. I would rather die!" We will see about that won't we my pet. Because guess what...you don't get many chances before I feed you to my wolves." He gave her a menacing sneer. "Go fuck an alligator."
The man eyed her aggressively obviously deciding what he was going to do with her. "I think you will be a lot more pliable once you have shifted. Especially since you refused the gift of food my beta brought you. Yes... I think I will enjoy fucking you once I've got you in full submission." He took her face in his hands and made Brianna look deep into his eyes. "Now...Shift." He demanded from her. Brianna felt a tug from within but nothing else happened. She could tell by the anger in his eyes that she was not doing what he wanted her to do. She smiled. "I said SHIFT!" "No." He reared back and hit her. She figured he would, but she didn't expect it to be a closed fist. The pain rocked her as her cheek and jaw ached. Striking her again she screamed in pain. He gripped her face hard pinching the possible broken bones in her face together bringing tears to her eyes. "Maybe I got it backwards. Maybe I need to fuck you into submission first. Then your wolf will know it's true alpha." "You will never be my alpha." She spit into his face making him even angrier. He swung back punching her in the stomach making her crumple in pain.
Another blow hit her in the ribs and she heard a crack. He climbing between her legs as she began to buck against him. "Now now my little wolf...don't get too excited yet. The fun is just starting. She managed to swing her legs enough to kick him in the back making him wince. He growled grabbing her by the neck and squeezing. She started to lose the ability to breath as he pressed down into her trachea. He body slowly stopped responding forcing her to stop trying to kick him, and focusing on the fact that he had managed to get himself free of his pants. Her towel was ripped free exposing her naked flesh to him. She could feel him taking in as she began to wheeze and buck trying to break free of his hold. One hand found her pelvis gripping her with a force she knew would leave a mark, and held it still while he tried to line himself up. The door swung open as she began to lose consciousness. Was that a wolf? Brianna thought as she black out from the lack of air.
They stood in at the territory line closest to the rival alpha's home. They didn't want to risk getting stopped on their way to say his mate. Her ex had crumpled quickly enough telling them exactly where they needed to go. A few lower members stayed behind to guard him in the office till Lawrence returned. Spence was glad he had the alpha's support because going across enemy lines was something no one was supposed to do, but the entire pack had rallied behind him. They understood that while she was not marked, she was his. Now it was time to teach the other alpha the same thing. Mavis trotted up next to him nudging him with her nose. She had demanded to come with. Who knew what state Brianna would be in. The thought made Spence want to rip out the throat of every wolf in the pack. What kind of pack would accept a kidnapped female? The wolf had given them enough information to know that this was more than just a simple kidnapping. Kodi has plans to breed his entire pack through Brianna. They took off at a sprint towards the lights beyond the forest. Silent as possible they snuck across enemy lines and on to the property of the rival alpha.
There were only a few wolves roaming and quickly were knocked out by the front runners. Spence bound past the incapacitated wolves breaking through the front door. Sure enough a few more wolves were in the living room, but Spence paid no mind as the rest of the pack took them head on. He smelt her tears. Letting out a whimper he charged to the room where he was sure she was being held. Kodi was sitting on top of her naked body with his hands around her neck. As they made eye contact her eyes closed and body slunk into the bed. An earth-shattering howl ripped through the air bringing Kodi's attention towards the door. "Come to save your female, have you? Well maybe I can get a few good ones in first." He pushed his body forward as if to impale her but Spence tackled him from behind.
Since he was in human form Spence's claws ripped through the skin easily, but the marks quickly began to heal. The Alpha growled and dropped to all fours before changing into a very large angry golden wolf. As he was an alpha, he was larger than Spence, but that wouldn't stop him from ripping the guys throat out. His own alpha entered the room and barked a command. Step aside. This fight is mine. Take your mate and go. Knowing he could hurt her, he shifted back into his human form and scooped Brianna up after wrapping her back in the towel. The alphas began to circle as Spence left, but the fight ended quickly. Lawrence had always been the stronger of the two. The true Alpha.
Mavis had hotwired a car for them to bring her to safety and was waiting for the two of them with the rest of the pack. She had managed to find an ill fitted shirt and pant set to slip into because Lawrence would not be happy with her driving naked in a car. "Is she hurt?" Spence looked her over and nodded his head sullenly. Her face was bruised and she wasn't responding to his prodding. "I think I got there in time though. Let's get her to the physician." With a nod they were in the car whipping down to the highway that got them home. Brianna began to stir in his arms but he stopped her moaning by stroking her face. "I've got you baby...don't worry."
The Physician had given her a once over and other and some bruising and possibly a broken rib she would be fine in a little while. The mental scarring may take longer, but she was strong. Spence had stayed by her side while she slept through the night. They had given her something to knock her out and dull the pain while she healed. Kodi had done a number to her, but according to the physician it didn't seem like he had gotten any farther. Her fingers tightened around his hand waking him from his restless sleep. Cracking one eye he saw she was staring down at him in wonder. "Hey I'm glad your awake." "You save me." Spence nodded and smiled as he stretched out reaching to the sky. "Of course, I did."
Her eyes were widened as she stared at him. "Did he?" Spence was quick to grab back onto her hand and pull her closer to him. "No! I would never have let that happen." She withdrew her hand from his making him cringe. "You were the wolf I saw in the doorway. Conner wasn't lying. You are a wolf." Spence scrubbed his face with his hands before running his fingers through his hair. "I'm not surprised he told you. I guess you need some time alone don't you. I'm going to go and get a drink. I'll be back." Brianna started to open her mouth to say something but he didn't want to hear it. She had been traumatized enough let alone finding out that he was a wolf.
Spence found himself standing in the hallway when he smelt her tears. Mavis reached out and touched his arm. "She just needs some time alone. Let me handle her. You go home and shower. You smell." A small smile reached her face but not her eyes. They always knew there was a chance that she would not react well. He nodded his head leaving his weeping female to his Luna's care. She was right. He did need a shower.
Brianna watched him leave and it broke her heart. She finally had him back and he was leaving. She had the last few days crash down on her. Everyone she cared about had turned out to be a wolf. And if Conner had told her the truth, so was she. She could tell she had hurt him when she pulled away but it was all just a shock. She tried to stop him, but nothing had come out. Brianna began to cry hoping beyond all hope that Spence still cared for her. She could feel something with in calling out to him. It had been a horrible couple of hours. The door opened filling her with a sense of relief before she realized it was Mavis not Spence coming in. "Oh! Hi..." Mavis popped her head to one side. "Not happy to see me?" "No, it's not that. Its..." "Spence? He's going to shower. I told him I would take a shift with you. How are you feeling?" "Surprisingly better? I thought I had a broken rib but I guess not." She chuckled taking Spence's seat. "Oh, you did. Actually, you are healing like a true wolf would. I guess the experience unlocked something in you." "I did?!" Brianna began to feel around her sides pushing on the spots that had pained her so much the night before. A little sore but nothing. And her face was good as new. Mavis held up a mirror to show that there wasn't even a bruise.
"So that Conner guy told you?" Her voice was light but filled with worry. Brianna just nodded not wanting to look her in the eyes. "And you're taking it pretty well." "I just...I mean...it's weird to think about but the facts just are there. Though apparently I can't shift." "What do you mean?" "Well Conner told me an Alpha could make me shift but that guy tried. Its where I got most of my bruising. He didn't like that I wouldn't listen to him." "Well see here's the thing Brianna. He wasn't YOUR Alpha. I think that your wolf chose Lawrence. Your wolf chose this pack." "Which means..." "Which means only Lawrence or your mate can make you shift. That is if you want to." "What do you mean if I want to?" Mavis dropped her tone slightly before continuing. "Spence made a decision very early on in your... courting... that the choice would be yours. And Lawrence would never put you in that kind of danger." "Danger. Conner said something about it might kill me?" "It could. You have a very powerful wolf in there Brianna. She would probably save you, but first shifts are tricky especially for a late bloomer like yourself. The other risk is your own will power. Will you be able to take back control from her? Spence would be beside himself if anything happened to you."
She could feel Mavis's eyes on her as she took in the new facts. "So, Spence is..." "Lawrence's Beta. His second in command really. And if you allow us to be your pack, I will be your Luna." "So, like my queen?" Mavis laughed but shrugged. "Lawrence calls me his queen from time to time, but it's more of an honorary title. So, do you want this? Do you want to be in our pack?" Brianna nodded keeping her head low. "Well then there are some thing you need to know. It's important to understand wolves can be aggressive. I know you and Spence have been together, but it may be different now. Now that you are coming to your own his wolf may not hold back." "Like spanking?" Brianna's face was red as she asked the question, but Mavis just smiled. "It's their way of showing you who is boss. No other wolf would do it to you. Just your mate. And he would never hurt you, but be careful not to entice him too much. Like I said. They are still wild animals. He would hunt you to the end of the earth if he had to."
The ground was cold beneath her bare feet as she swung them over the bed. "There's a car outside waiting for you, but make sure you choose wisely. I won't see him hurt Brianna." Mavis's face was serious as she watched her leave but her eyes were filled with joy. Spence didn't live far from the physician's home so it took her no time to get there. She knew exactly what she wanted. She knew it from the moment she met him. Spence was standing outside on his porch towel drying his hair as her car whipped into the driveway. "Brianna? What are you doing here?" She ran from the car not even thinking to close the door behind her and threw herself into his waiting arms.
Their lips collided as he tried to be tender with her. She needed him more now than ever. After a few minutes of him trying to slow her frantic kissing she huffed and grabbed his hand pulling him into the house. "Brianna. You are still healing. Slow down." She pulled him into the bedroom and forced him to the bed. Stripping the gown from her body she heard him suck in air as she bared herself for him. "I am a wolf Spence. I heal quickly." "Brianna...baby...slow down...we need to talk." She stalled in her movements of trying to get him undressed. Of course, he wanted to talk. He didn't want her now that she might be tainted. Another man had touched her and almost raped her. She remembered how Conner had washed the scent from her to prepare her for that man. Maybe wolves are sensitive about being with someone who was touched by another. "I am going to shower."
She heard him yell her name as she walked to the bathroom. Tears began to fall as she leaned against the doorframe not able to go any farther. She felt him come up behind her and his hand was shaking as it touched her bare shoulder. "Baby. Why are you crying?" "I'm sorry I smell like him. I don't want to. I want to smell only like you. I don't even know if you still want that. I just...I wasn't thinking." Spence gripped her shoulder a little harder. "You don't smell like him." "Then why don't you want me anymore?" She found herself pressed against the wall feeling his erection on her lower back. "Baby...I want you more than you could ever know. Don't you know that? Can't you feel that?" She sniffled feeling him begin to traced the dots of freckles along her shoulders where she always got too much sun. "I don't want to scare you Brianna. If we tried right now, I don't know if I could hold back. You just found out what I am. It was hard enough to not mark you when we were together last time. I want it to be a choice. It hurts." "What do you have to do?" "What do you mean?" His breath was hot on her skin as he whispered into her ear. Her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth as all the moisture left to fill her lower half. Marking in where I sink my teeth into this tender skin right here and leave my scent in you so that you can never take it off. Marking is where I make you my mate for life." His tongue traced along the soft skin along her shoulder bone.

His voice was like gravel as he finished, and she could tell he didn't just mean the actual act of marking. "Well I won't make it easy then Beta. If you want me, you're going to have to catch me." The idea of running popped into her head as the words he would chase you to the end of the earth if he had to ran through her thoughts. Spence growled as she ducked under his arms.
She didn't make it far as he threw her on the bed face down. "So, you are looking for a bit of punishment then. Think you're up for it?" She looked at him bashfully over her shoulder. "yes" She huffed out as she caught the spark in his eyes. A stinging sensation rocked her lower half as his hand met her behind. "Thats for leaving when we first met." Another she moaned rocking her hips into the bed. "Thats for leaving my office." Another though this one hurt just a little more as she could feel the welting begin to rise. "That one was for leaving my house." She yelped as a fourth smack rang across the room. "And that one was for running." Flinching instinctively as his lips kissed her cheeks tenderly. "it's only going to get worse baby. Tell me you are ready." His fingers danced along her dripping lips as she heard the undeniable sound of a metal zipper and his pants hitting the floor.
Brianna raised her hips to meet him gasping as his tip touched her heat. "Tell me Brianna...tell me who you belong to!" "You I belong to you" She managed to pant out wiggling her ass against him. Spence roared as he thrusted deep into her. Groaning in pleasure she pushed back instinctively into him. His hand found the roots at the base of her head and yanked her hair back pulling her farther onto him. Over and over he slammed into her spot making her cry out as she tightened around him. Brianna turned her face to him, watching as eyes danced along her form. His free hand tracing every inch of her backside, hips, ribcage until their eyes finally met. Spence sheathed himself inside her as he leaned over taking her lips with his. As she moaned into his mouth and her body tightened around him, she could feel him holding back still. As Spence pulled away his trusts becoming more erratic and she knew he was close. "Mark me...make me yours forever."
The huskiness in her voice was an overwhelming to them both as his eyes darkened and he bared his teeth. Brianna watched as he sunk himself into her shoulder releasing his seed and scent into her at the same time. She whimpered at the pain coursing through her upper back. Spence released her and licked her wound clean. Gathering her into his arms he brought them to lie on the bed hold her tightly. "Are you ok? Did I hurt you?" Brianna reached up to touch the already healing mark along her collar bone. "I'm fine Spence. I'm more than fine." "I love you." He whispered into her hair and for once the words didn't send her into a panic. When Conner had first said it, she almost ran out of his apartment. "I love you too." Brianna yawned as she began to feel her eyes close. Spence's breath softened and she knew he was asleep. Pulling the blanket over them Brianna curled in his arms praying that none of this was a dream.
She awoke alone in the bed but could smell something delicious cooking in the kitchen. Throwing on a robe that hung behind the door she inhaled his scent. He had apparently heard her trying to sneak into the kitchen behind him. "What are you doing up baby?" "I smelled yummy food." Brianna wrapped her arms around him and kiss his shoulder blade gently before grabbing a piece of bacon from the plate. "Sneaky!" He spun around and gathered her in his arms for a long drawn out kiss. His lips left hers as he pushed aside the cloth on her shoulder to reveal the healed scar from where his teeth had been.
"I figured wolves couldn't scar." She spoke up as she finally saw the finished product. "They can. It's not easy, but this is not just a scar. It's a mark. It's a warning to anyone who tries to touch you. They can see how big my mouth is." She let out a laugh as he kissed the point where his teeth had left the deepest mark. Brianna moaned at the feeling, and she felt him harden as he pressed against her. "I have a request before this goes any further." He mumbled into her neck as he continued to press on. His fingers finding the opening of her robe and pushing it aside. "I want to shift." His fingers and mouth froze. "Spence?" "No" "What? Why? I thought..." "Brianna, I just got you back. Do you really think I would risk losing you?!" His eyes were worried as they look into hers. "Spence. I can feel her inside me. I need to shift. And I don't know how. That alpha tried but..."
Spence bared his teeth in a growl as she brought him up. "He tried to force you to shift?!" Spence pulled off of her and ran from the room. He was out the back door puffing angrily before she caught up. "Spence!" "He could have KILLED you Brianna! I could have lost you forever!" "But he didn't! He couldn't! My wolf wouldn't recognize him. She only knows you. She trusts YOU. At least that's what this feels like. I don't know how to explain it. He woke her up, but she refused. She only wants you." His lips crashed to hers as he picked her up in his arms and carried her to the woods directly behind his house. "I don't like this." He whispered as he set her on the mossy ground. "I have to try Spence."
He just nodded his head not looking at her. "Do you know how?" Spence rolled his eyes as he looked at her. "Of course, I know how. Its ingrained in me. Do you know how painful this will be?" Brianna just nodded pressing herself against him and wrapping her arms around him. She looked up smiling as he brought his face down to hers. His deft hands pulled her robe from around her leaving a cool shiver to run down her spine. "It's better to not have clothes. It causes less of a panic." Brianna looked into his eyes and kissed him tenderly on the lips before he leaned in a whispered in her ear. "Shift" It wasn't a command so to speak. Not like when the other alpha had tried. It was almost a plea. A plea that made her weak as the wolf rushed to the surface. Pain coursed through her body as her body changed shape and grow hair.
She looked up at him noticing she stood almost as tall as she had in human form. Spence shifted into the same black wolf who had saved her the other night. She could smell everything. Including her mate. It was the most amazing thing she had ever smelt and it was all over her too. She grinned and took off feeling the ground beneath hers. Rocks that would normally tear up her human skin were nothing to the powerful paws that now struck the ground. Wind whipped through her mane making her feel invincible. She felt Spence catching up to her as she let out a playful howl. He nipped at her hind quarters urging her onward. They came to a stop a few miles from where they had started. It was a hill top overlooking the town. Sniffing the air, she could tell that they were the first souls here in a very long while. Spence shifted back into his human form and patted her head. She looked up at him panting from the run as he spoke. "Shift" The pain was less this time, and she assumed it would keep lessening the more she used it.
Collapsing into the grass she continued to pant as her body became accustomed to being human again. Spence pounced on her kissing her face and neck all over as she laughed. "You were the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. That wolf was both terrifying and beautiful." She smiled at him as he stopped to finally look at her in the eyes. "I love you" The words slipped from her lips as he slipped between her legs. He filled her up not taking his eyes from hers as he pumped slowly in and out. She felt like they were the only two things in the world. As his pace quickened his mouth began to suck and nip at her skin bring her waves of pleasure. "Mine" slipped from her lips as she kissed his earlobe. Her voice husky again. It was not long before he finished and collapsed beside her. "I can't even begin to explain how happy I am Brianna." "Let's go back and you can show me." She looked at him dangerously as she felt the wolf begin to push forward. "Do you need some help still?" "Just once more. I think we've almost got it. "Shift"
