It was a quiet, gloomy afternoon on the beautiful planet of Coruscant. Not many ships were flying through and not many beings out on the surface. It wasn't like that for long though. While everyone was minding their own business, a dark shadow appeared and grew bigger as it got closer to the Jedi Temple. Eventually, a ship appeared from the shadow, a Separatist Ship. As it landed at the Temple, the Jedi Masters came out to the landing platform, where the ship, roughly, landed.
Anakin Skywalker made his way through the others to get to the front to see no other than Count Dooku. Anakin and Dooku looked at each other, each with a smirk on their face. While Dooku was evil and sinister, Anakin's was calm and cocky. They all stood in silence until Dooku finally spoke up,
"Nice day for a fight, isn't it?" Mace Windu raised his eyebrow tentatively.
Yoda looked to his young friend and smiled, "Nice day out, it is. But fighting, never the answer that is." Yoda replied with a slight giggle.
Obi-Wan had run forward to restrain Anakin from killing Dooku right there on the spot. Again.
"Let me at him! I can kill him right here, right now!" Anakin yelled glaring at Dooku and Obi-Wan let out an exhausted sigh.
"Anakin, we talked about this, you can't kill Dooku!" Anakin, despite Obi Wan's protest, still tried to get out of his grasp.
"REALLY MASTER! YOU THINK I CAN'T KILL HIM! WATCH ME!" He half whined, half raged.
"No, no I know you are capable of killing him, but I'm….trying to find the straightest line through this...he needs to be alive for now cause without him we might not figure out who his master is. We kinda need him right now!" Obi-Wan explained what had to be the 100th time as everyone looked at them trying not to chuckle at Anakin's flustered face.
"Calm. down. Skywalker." Mace ordered. "We'll take care of this," he claimed as he, Obi-Wan, Shaak Ti, and Yoda dropped their robes and drew their lightsabers. Dooku swung his lightsaber into a fighting stance, as did the other Jedi. Anakin also drew his lightsaber….just in case.
Mace was the first to engage with Dooku. He struck him, but Dooku quickly blocked his shot. Shaak Ti and Yoda watched as the other Jedi joined, swinging at Dooku, but not to kill. Their sole purposes were to at least tire him or disable.
"You can't win, Dooku!" Obi-Wan shouted over the loud clashes of the lightsabers.
"Oh, I'm counting on it!" He replied. This caused the Jedi to stop and lower their guards, Dooku stands there with the face of knowing something...they don't.
"What do you mean?" Anakin questioned, but before they could get an answer, Dooku had turned and boarded his ship. Leaving the Jedi standing there, in silence. Then a large, gruff growl erupted from the temple causing all the Jedi to rush inside.
Back at Anakin and Padme's apartment. Padme was watching as Luke annoyed his sister, Leia by chasing her around with his small lightsaber Anakin had given him. Padme was well aware of everything that was going on at the Jedi Council as she could see it from the window of the apartment. She knew Anakin was headstrong and could get himself into trouble at times, but remained calm for the twin's sake. And plus Obi-Wan would stop him from killing anybody. Padme found it easy to always count on Obi-Wan when she couldn't stop him from doing extremely crazy stuff like that.
Padme got up as she heard distant screams coming from the kitchen. She expected the high pitch screams to come from Leia, but instead, it came from Luke who was now hiding under the table, screaming, as Leia held 2 sharp butcher knives in her hands.
"TRY SWINGING THAT AT ME AGAIN!" Leia threatened her brother with a huge smirk on her face. God, she is so much like her father Padme thought.
"IM SORRY! IM SORRY!" Luke screamed rocking back and forth on his heels as the fear in his eyes turned to terror. As Leia got closer to Luke Padme quickly stepped in and swept Luke into her arms. He clutched his mother's hair and clothes so hard Padme thought Leia had traumatized him forever.
"Leia apologized to your brother right now!" Padme instead as the young girl pouted her lip and dropped her hands, which still had the knives in them, to her sides.
"I wasn't actually gonna hurt 'em!" She muttered to her mother who looked at her with a disapproving 'mom' glare.
"Dad told me if someone is being mean to me then I need to give them a piece of your mind!" She jutted her hip out and placed her hands on her hips as she spoke in a very matter-of-a-fact voice a 7-year-old can have.
"Well you guys need to behave, your father should be home soon!" Luke stuck his tongue out at his sister and Leia returned his gesture. "Leia, give me the knives!" Leia looked down at her hands and back up at her mother's stern look and set the knives on the counter.
"And give Luke his lightsaber back!" Leia climbed the counter and reached for the cupboard which had Luke's lightsaber hidden in it.
