Sunset Shimmer learns of Beauty and the Beast and one day, she sings a song to the girls, and proves that she can change.

Chapter 2: Sunset sings beauty and the beast and tells her friends about the message from Twilight.

Sunset ran to the music room with her acoustic guitar and took out the music for Beauty and the Beast out of her backpack. She stood a music stand in the middle of the room and waited for the girls to arrive. Just 5 minutes later, the mane 5 came in, laughing. "Oh, hey, Sunset." said Fluttershy. "You wanted to talk to us?"

"Yeah," said Sunset. "Listen. I told Princess Twilight everything and she gave me some advice. Who is your family? Would the Sunset Shimmer you know, the current one, the kind, sweet, one, would she do this?"

"No." said Fluttershy quietly.

"Yes," said Rainbow Dash.

"I want to show you all something," said Sunset. "I watched the 2017 Beauty and the Beast yesterday and I want to share with you something. A song."

Sunset started to play Beauty and the Beast on her acoustic guitar. Then she sang.

Tale as old as time

True as it can be

Barely even friends

Then somebody bends

Unexpectedly

Just a little change

Small to say the least

Both a little scared

Neither one prepared

Beauty and the Beast

Ever just the same

Ever a surprise

Ever as before

Ever just as sure

As the sun will rise

Tale as old as time

Tune as old as song

Bittersweet and strange

Finding you can change

Learning you were wrong

Sunset started to pony up, ears, tails and mane started to grow out of her. Sunset smiled, as she kept singing and playing.

Certain as the sun

Rising in the east

Tale as old as time

Song as old as rhyme

Beauty and the Beast

Tale as old as time

Song as old as rhyme

Beauty and the Beast

When Sunset had finished the song, the ears, tails and mane disappeared as suddenly as they came. The mane 5 were astonished. Rainbow Dash knew then she was innocent. "I'm sorry, Sunset." she said, her cerise eyes welling up with tears. "That was beautiful, though. I'm sorry we accused you. Listen, I promise you, we'll catch them red-handed. And, will you rejoin the band?"

Sunset was delighted. "I never thought you'd ask! Yes!"

The other girls cheered. "Everyone's back together again!" cried Pinkie Pie, jumping up and down. "Yay!"

Pinkie went over to the drums and started to tap a tune on her drums. The girls laughed and joined in. Soon, the girls started to pony up and other students came in. When their random tune ended, everyone, apart from the Cutie Mark Crusaders left.

"Ah'm sorry, Sunset." said Applebloom. "It was us. We're Anon-a-miss."

"WHAT?!" shrieked Applejack and Rarity in unison.

"Whoa." said Rainbow Dash, "Why did you do it?"

"We were jealous," said Scootaloo. "Jealous that you lot were spending more time with Sunset than us."

"It's okay," said Sunset. "I never really had a chance to celebrate Christmas in my world. We called it Hearth's Warming Eve there. I was too busy studying for exams. Look, it's my fault. If I reached out more then I wouldn't be so hated. I get it, trust me."

"Bloom," said Applejack. "Yer grounded for the rest of the holiday and y'all do chores 'round the farm. And Granny will have that phone this holiday. Yer lucky Big Mac isn't here to hear ya confess everything."

"You too, Sweetie." said Rarity. "You'll be in my workshop, helping me."

"And I hope you have your running shoes, kiddo." said Rainbow Dash. "'Cause you're gonna be doing cross country."

"I do want to share something with you," said Sunset. "Princess Twilight sent me a video she recorded of Pinkie Pie, I mean, pony Pinkie Pie, singing a song. It's called the Smile song and it brings joy to everyone." Sunset flicked through her journal to find the video. "Here."

Sunset played the video and Pinkie Pie smiled a lot. "Pinkie will always be Pinkie." said Rarity.

"Yes," said Sunset. "She will."
