Swinging from roof top to roof top, Ladybug was heading to Adrien's house in the hopes of surprising him. She reached his window which was open slightly, peering through she could see the bathroom light on.

"Spots off," she whispered as she landed on the floor. 'Should I sit and wait on the bed? I bet that would most definitely surprise him!'

The clock next to Adrien's bed showed 23:13, it had only been an hour. She could hear him singing behind the door, steam escaping the room, he sounded really happy, this made her smile widely. As she sat down, she put her hands on the bed and leaned back using her arms as support. This is when she realised that his fresh pile of clothes were underneath her hand and that he must be getting dressed back at his bed!

'Oh my god I hope he's wearing a towel! Or wait...do I? YES Marinette you do hope he's wearing a towel! You naughty girl, thinking of such things!' Marinette chided herself while shaking her head.

She chuckled to herself. It had been a long time coming for the both of them, they could wait a lot longer for the rest of it. All that mattered was that they were together.

"Hello my Bugaboo!" He opened the door beaming right at her, towel around his waist, Marinette looked surprised, he noticed and explained, "Plagg seen you." He walked towards her and bent down to give her a kiss on the cheek while switching his lamp on, "otherwise I might not have had my towel on!" He winked at her while wiggling his eyebrows and grabbed his clothes going back behind the bathroom door to get dressed.

"I wasn't sure if you would be able to come back," she explained her turning up at his room so late at night.

"Marinette, I am so happy you are here," he sat down next to her, ruffling his hair in his towel, the image of his black cladded persona flashing before her eyes as beads of water dripped down his face. "Ten minutes later and we would have been crossing paths travelling to each other," again he had such happiness on his face, it seemed he would soon burst with feelings.

"Have you spoken to anyone since you've been home?" She was opening up the conversation so she could say how the conversation with Luka had panned out.

"I saw Nathalie very briefly in the kitchen," he answered. "I told her Nino asked me to stay at his tonight, but she wasn't going to let me go so late." He finished. "You?"

"I spoke to Luka-"

"You've seen him already?" Adrien looked surprised.

"No-" she fidgeted with her bag, "-he popped up when I was on the computer." Marinette told him how well the conversation had gone, Adrien was surprised but relieved about it.

'I hope the conversation with Kagami goes like that.' He wished internally.

*ding*

Adrien's phone signalled a message had been received. "It's Kagami," he explained to Marinette.

Kagami: Adrien I'm not going to wait around forever for you, I will always love you but I deserve better.

He showed Marinette the message he had been sent by her.

"I'm sure it will go as best as can be expected." Marinette tried to reassure him after reading the text message. They both knew it would be bad after facing the Akumatised version they had fought of her.

Marinette lay down on his bed and Adrien lay down next to her, making sure his head was level with hers. They were both exhausted, mentally and physically. They lay there for what seemed like an eternity just searching each other's eyes, with lots of smiles again being exchanged along with a bit of blushing. Both filled with excitement at the result they had achieved.

Finally they both drifted off lying on Adrien's bed. Able to relax in each other's arms after the events which had lead to them finding their way. Tikki and Plagg had fallen asleep just above their heads, also content with the outcome of such an eventful so many hours.

"Adrien!" Nathalie startled them awake, a look of shock on her face at the sight of the two of them cuddled up on the bed, her iPad clutched to her chest as usual with her headphone in one ear.

'Shit.'

"Adrien! Explain yourself." She had a stern tone in her voice, her face however, returned to the usual look of indifference she normally had.

Marinette froze. They were both lying on top of the covers, her head had been cuddled into his chest with her arm over his middle. Such wonderful dreams had been interrupted, and they had been awoken into a real life nightmare. Adrien kept his hand around Marinette's shoulder, panic on his face.

'How the hell do I explain this?'

"I climbed up the trellis, und-under the window," Marinette stammered shyly, trying to give an explanation to help their situation. She sat up slowly unsure of what to do, she knew how this looked. 'How will his dad take this news?' She winced as internally as possible.

"Adrien?" Nathalie addressed him, "is this true?" She was suspicious of the answer Marinette had given. The windows were a considerable size, she must have been very determined to get in, or had help.

Adrien sat up next to Marinette bending his legs in front of Marinette, subconsciously shielding her from Nathalie. "I helped her in," he knew what Nathalie had observed, "I asked her to come over late last night-"

"Is this why you said Nino had asked you round?" She eyed him up and down still suspicious of the pair in front of her.

"Yes."

"Because you wanted to see your friend?"

"Yes..." he took her hand so it was easily seen by Nathalie. He looked at Marinette, she was surprised but internally screaming with excitement. Marinette was hoping she could get used to this without internal combustion every god damn time!

"Adrien, your father will not be happy about this." Nathalie commented, her voice softening slightly now. "Is this your friend the designer?"

"Marinette, yes." He was keeping his answers short, waiting for the next question.

"Is this the girl Kagami did not want you to see?" Her facial expression changed, she was almost intrigued by the answer she would get.

"Yes." He felt Marinette tense with her question, so he squeezed her hand in a comforting fashion.

"Your father did not like how your relationship with Kagami was going Adrien." She informed him, "this might be something he sees an improvement in that case." She nodded slightly with this last comment.

"Marinette," she turned her gaze on to her now. "I feel it is best that you join us for breakfast-" both Marinette and Adrien's hearts skipped a beat, a dull ache in the pit of their stomach from how nervous they were becoming.

'What is happening here?' Marinette and Adrien both could not believe their ears.

"-however, Marinette... maybe I should let you out of the side entrance and you could come to the front door?" She seemed to question herself more than suggest this to Marinette.

Marinette was nervous but nodded, she glanced at Adrien who looked just as nervous and confused.
