Sunday was a blast for Adrien. Surprisingly his father had suggested they stop to get some flowers for Marinette and her parents on the way, he had also picked some up for Nathalie who was waiting in the car. Sabine and Tom embraced Adrien when he came into their bakery, and then turned to Gabriel with warm smiles. Marinette had come down to the bakery to find them chatting like old friends, a warm feeling in her stomach at the scene.

Tom sat with Gabriel and Nathalie, while Adrien had offered to help behind the counter. Marinette was covered in flower in no time thanks to Adrien, who had blown a pinch in her face while they were teasing each other playfully. Gabriel donned the biggest smile when Marinette had eagerly retaliated and the laughs around the whole bakery could be heard in the street.

Gabriel left Adrien in the bakery while going for a walk in the park with Nathalie. She had rested well, but still had her arm in a sling but her colour had returned after the shock of yesterday's events had been processed. They sat on the bench watching the people going about their daily business, enjoying the morning sun.

"Nathalie," Gabriel started, "Going back to our conversation yesterday, I have an idea on how I can make things right." He sat straight on the bench with his legs crossed and one hand on Nathalie's lap. Nathalie looked at him with interest, waiting for him to continue.

"I know that Ladybug and Chat Noir go out on patrol every night." He continued, "I was thinking I could wait for them and hope to give them my Miraculous and the Peacock Miraculous...as a peace offering."

She went to interrupt him, as she was concerned about his idea, but he didn't let her. He could see it on her face. "I know it sounds like a dangerous plan, but if I take it off before they can say anything and explain my reasonings...they might even keep my secret." He looked at her, she hunched her shoulders and became closed in her posture. "Until I can make things right, I cannot truly-" he took her hand in his, leaning towards her to catch her gaze "-make amends for my selfish and despicable actions." His voice was smooth and unwavering, determination to carry out his plan was evident.

"I worry," she looked at him, trying to hide her emotion, "I worry that you won't get that chance." A tear appearing in her eye. He reached into his jacket pocket, and pulled out a silk handkerchief and placed it in her hand.

"It will be ok," he reassured her, "I will be quick in explanations to prevent any further pain." He put an arm around her shoulder as more tears swelled in her eyes, "it's time to put an end to all of this...and I would like you by my side." Looking at her, she turned to face him, eyes searching his. A soft smile on his face, and Nathalie was completely taken aback by his words, butterflies going crazy in her stomach.

"Please think about it."

Nathalie nodded slowly, and they made their way back to the bakery. Nathalie, with a slight rouge on her cheeks smiled coyly as she walked next to Gabriel. Her arm in the crook of his elbow.

Before heading back to Agreste Mansion, Gabriel had one more stop to make. They headed back to the hospital to see how Gorilla was recovering from the accident. Taking some baked good from the bakery for him, he was still recovering after breaking his tibia and cracking three ribs in the accident. So was required to spend time in the hospital before he could leave, returning to work would be much longer. Gabriel was paying him his full salary, and told him he needn't worry about hurrying back.

They arrived home around seven in the evening, Adrien relishing this new side to his father, one he had never even imagined could be possible.

"Thank you for today father..." Adrien said to his father as Gabriel retired to his study. "I-"

"There is no need to thank me Adrien, it was my pleasure to spend the day with you." Gabriel stood in the door way to his study, looking at his son. "Good night son."

"Good night father."

Each of them turned to their respective doors to rest after the busy day. Or so each of them thought.

"How has everything changed so dramatically Plagg? Adrien asked his Kwami, who was currently chomping down on a piece of ripened Camembert.

"Just...enjoy...it while...it lasts," he said, muffled by his mouth full of cheese.

"It's all come together...finally," he towelled off his hair and pulled his clothes on after his shower. "I've got the person of my dreams, my father is being a...father and-"

"-and I've got all the cheese I could ask for!" Plagg interrupted, catching another piece of cheese mid air. "All...you...want now is...for Hawkmoth to stop...releasing Akumas," he finished with his mouth full.

"We should be so lucky!" He chuckled to himself. "Anyway, Plagg, claws out!"

"Nooroo,"

"Yes master," a feeble voice replied.

"I am going to be taking off my Miraculous and handing it to Ladybug and Chat Noir."

The little Kwami's eyes widened at hearing these words. Puzzled and apprehensive, Nooroo approached their master.

"I have been reckless and selfish in my actions over the years, Nooroo, I know I have been awful to you, and I am...truly sorry."

"Master, I thank you." Nooroo floated nervously close to Gabriel, wondering what was happening.

"Nooroo, I need to get them a message, but I do not wish to transform into Hawkmoth again." He pinched the bridge of his nose. "Is this possible?"

"If you allow me to visit the guardian." The tiny God replied hopefully.

Gabriel pondered this thought for a moment. He had not thought about using Nooroo to send a message.

"You could tell me where you would leave it, for the guardian to find." Gabriel's silence lead Nooroo to continue, "I would never be able to betray your identity to the guardian, so you would never have that revealed." Nooroo's squeeky soft voice was the only sound in the darkness.

"Nooroo," Gabriel answerd his Kwami. "I think that would be the best solution."
