Chapter 1

(Ava's POV)

"Ava, wake up!" I heard someone say as I was adjusting eyes to the brightness.

"I'm up, I'm up!" I answered.

"Hurry up and get ready, mom and dad are waiting for us at the dining pavillion. I'll be waiting outside."

She then proceeded to go out.

"Yeah, ok" I answered nodding at her to leave already.

My name is Ava Zoe Chase-Jackson and yes, I am the daughter of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase, but it's not as fun and cool as you think.

First things first, I am not the only child, i'm actually the youngest. My older sister's name is Nicky Chase-Jackson, she got that name because Uncle Beckendorf and Aunt Silena wanted to name their daughter Nicky, but well their dead. So in honor for them my sister got the name instead. Me? My mom just wanted to name me Ava, but my second name was named after Zoe Nightshade, the late huntress.

Second, I'm not really powerful, I'm just average as what some other demigods call me. My sister on the other hand is powerful, they say she has the potential to be even more powerful then our parents. But of course, they don't say the same thing about me. You see, Nicky inherited both our father's powers and our mother's intellect, so yeah, she's pretty powerful and she's kind so that's a plus. Me on the other hand, I didn't inherit our father's powers, only his fast reflexes and his nack of finding trouble or causing trouble. On the plus side I got our mother's intellect, but I'm more on quick thinking.

"Alright, I'm done." I told Nicky when I finished getting ready.

"Alright! Let's go, we don't want to keep mom and dad waiting." She said while smiling.

I just don't get how she can be so nice, like she is literally a ray of sunshine.

"Well, well, if it isn't Nicky and average" I heard someone say from behind us.

Ugh, here we go again. I was about to turn around and say a witty and mean comeback, when my sister said something first.

"Shut up Trevor, and don't call my sister average." She told him clearly mad.

Oh, did I forget to mention that there is also a lot of pressure when your one of the daughters of the two great heroes. Plus, I hate being protected all the time, it's like I'm fragile or something.

"Why should I?" he answered smirking.

I was about to retort when I was interrupted again.

"Because, if you don't, I'm going to kick your ass." I heard a familiar voice say.

This is really starting to piss me off. But as usual I kept my face from showing any emotion. I'm good at that, after all, I've been doing this since I was a kid.

"A-Aiden, hey.." he said nervously.

"I-I'll just go" After that he ran away.

"Stupid son of a- " He started.

"Don't you dare continue that sentence!" My sister shouted at him.

Aiden gulped, then nodded. He then turned to me.

"You okay?" he asked

"Yes, I'm fine, can we go now?" I said annoyed.

He hesitated but nodded. Then the three of us started to walk to the dining pavillion.

Aiden is our half-cousin, he is the son of Malcolm, sadly his mom died of a disease. That's because his mom was mortal. So now he's staying at Camp Half-Blood.

We then arrived at the dining pavillion.

"I have an announcement." Chiron said. All of us listened to what he was saying.

"Thalia and the rest of the Hunters are back from their mission!"

Most of the demigods cheered, I just grinned. Thalia is my favorite person in the whole world except for Nicky of course. It's because she understands me, not like my mom or my dad and she trains me during her free time.

"So Thalia is back, huh?" My dad asked smiling.

"Yeah, it's been a long time." My mom said smiling too, since Thalia took care of her when she was young and they were practically sisters.

"I can't wait to see her." I said with a grin on my face.

"You're always excited to see Thalia, sis." My sister said while smiling and then continued eating her food.

"Yeah? So? I admire her and you know that." I told her, bumping my shoulders into hers.

She was about to say something when someone interrupted her.

"Well, I'm glad you admire me, Zoe." I heard someone say.

Only specific people call me by my second name and those people are The Hunters and I would know that voice anywhere.

"Thalia!" I turned around grinning.

"So, I'm free later, do you want to train?" She asked smirking, already knowing what my answer would be.

"Duh, of course! Do you even have to ask?" I said still grinning.

She chuckled

"Nah" She answered.

"Hey Thals, how was your mission?" My mom asked

"Oh, you know the usual." She said, shrugging.

"What monster did you have to kill this time?" I asked, curious.

Thalia smiled at that, she knows I love hearing about how they killed the monster and how they tracked it.

"Well... I'll tell you all about it later, in detail, but I have to go." She told me.

I nodded.

"You better." I said.

She laughed

"Alright I gotta go, see you later at the usual spot Zoe!" She called out, when she was walking away.

"You bet!" I shouted back, smirking.

"Alright, I gotta go too. I have some kids to train." My dad said, standing up.

"See you later, I love you Seaweed Brain" My mom said smiling.

"Love you too, Wise Girl" He said smirking and giving her a kiss on the lips.

"See you dad." Nicky said.

"Yeah, see you." I told him only smiling a little bit.

"You seem happy today." Lars said when we were hanging out before I go train with Thalia.

"Well, yeah. I mean Thalia's back and I get to train and spend time with her again." I told him.

Lars is my boy best friend, his full name is Lars Luke Rodriguez. He's the son of Clarisse La Rue and Chris Rodrigeuz. His second name, Luke, was named after Chris's evil, turned into a hero at the end half-brother named Luke Castellan. He also understands me given that we are the same, just have 'average' powers. He also understands the pressure, I mean his mother was a Drakon Slayer, for god's sake.

"Well, I have to go to my usual training spot with Thalia. I don't wanna be late." I told him jumping down from the tree.

He jumped down and landed next to me.

"Alright, guess I'll see you around?" Lars asked me.

"Yeah, oh, and don't follow me or I will personally kick your ass." I told him as a matter of fact.

He chuckled.

"As if you could kick my ass." he said smirking.

I scoffed.

"I did it once, I can do it again or don't you remember?" I said, giving him my troublemaker smile.

"Alright, you win." He said holding up both of his hands in surrender.

"I always do." I said flashing him a wink and a mischievious smile then took off.

"You're late." Thalia told me when I arrived with a raised eyebrow.

I rolled my eyes.

"I was hanging out with Lars and we got caught up in a little banter." I told her, while getting ready to train.

"You were hanging out with Lars?" Thalia asked while smiling mishcieviously.

"Yes, and why are you looking at me like that?" I asked.

She then gave me a 'are you really serious look?' Then I got the memo.

"Ohhhhhh no, we are only friends Thalia." I told her.

"Really, just friends? No, romantic feelings at all?" She asked.

"Nope no romantic feelings at all, and before you say that my mom and dad used to say the same thing. It doesn'f mean that I have romantic feelings for him." I answered her with a 'just don't' look.

"Alright, if that's what you say." She said smiling.

"Let's just train." I said exasperated.

She laughs.

While we were training we noticed something more brighter than usual was coming towards us.

Thalia's eyes widened.

"Cover your eyes and look away, until I say it's okay to look."

I nodded and did exactly what she told me.

"Alright, it's ok to look now." She told me.

I turned around and saw the God of the Sun.

"So, I noticed you ladies training here, and I thought why not come and chat." He said while flashing a charming smile.

"Apollo don't you have anything better to do?" Thalia asked with an annoyed face.

"Nope I have none, want me to make a haiku? I'm really good at it." He told us.

"Is he really this arrogant?" I whispered to Thalia.

"Yeah" She whispered back.

"So, what's your name, we haven't met yet." He asked me with this somewhat annoying smile and while holding out his hand.

I smiled back, the same smile that he had on his face.

"My name is Ava Zoe Chase-Jackson, nice to meet you Apollo." I answered shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you Ava." He said.

So uh, just so you know Ava is 16 while Nicky is 17. Aiden is 18 and Lars is 17.
