Walking away from the school, Lila let her humiliation and anger take over her body. Any minute now, she would become Akumatised, leading to all hell breaking loose!
'Where the hell is that bloody butterfly.'
Frustrated at the lack of Akumatised butterflies heading her way, Lila stewed on the morning she had experienced. Sat in the park across from the bakery, Lila was staring at the home of Marinette, allowing her emotions to fester.
'That Marinette is soooo perfect, wait until I see Adrien, I'll show him that I'm much more suited to him! Everyone loves me! I'm the nicest person they'll ever meet. What a cow! All I do is tell people whatever they want to hear, I do my very best to make people happy. What the hell does she do?
Adrien doesn't know HER! I'll show everyone who she really is.'
A smirk appearing across her face, her eyes full of hate as her gaze fixated on the bakery door.
As the door opened, the bell rang with a gentle tinkle. As the dinner time rush was over there were only a few customers left in the vicinity. Lila spotted Sabine behind the counter and immediately adjusted her face to portray a sickeningly sweet smile, accompanied by friendly eyes.
"Hi Mrs Chang!"
"Oh, hello Lily!" Sabine looked up at her while replenishing the counter.
"It's Lila-" Sabine knew this, as the girl corrected her, but she also knew Lila had caused problems for Marinette in school. Sabine simply could not help herself. "-actually," Lila dropped he false eyes momentarily, and Sabine saw the hate flash in her eyes. "I've come to pick up the book I lent Marinette, am I ok to go up please?" Lila did not wait for a response. Moving straight past Sabine she was greeted in the doorway by Tom.
Tom being heavy set, was not easy to scoot past, unfortunately for Lila, she was stopped in her tracks. Toms smile was friendly as ever but he knew who the girl was in front of him was.
"Sorry Lila, Marinette isn't here." He had obviously heard from the other side of the door. "Marinette will bring it in to school for you tomorrow." He didn't wait for a response either, as he ushered her to the customer side of the counter.
Faltering slightly more than usual, due to the blatant disregard for her reason to gain access to their daughters room, Lila found it difficult to compose her face. Sabine and Tom were pleasant towards her, however, Lila knew they were not going to let her go into their home.
Cursing as she left the store, Lila thought about other avenues she could use.
'Gabriel Agreste.'
The smirk returning to her face, Lila headed in the direction of the Agreste residence. Continually searching for that much desired butterfly.
Although Nathalie was not currently working, she sighed when old habits had kicked in causing her to answer the gate telecom. Opening the gate for Lila to come into the premises, she took her normal position at the desk awaiting Lila's entrance.
"Sir, there is a Miss Rossi here to see you," Nathalie spoke on the phone, as Lila waited. As far as she was aware, their alliance was still on. Oh how things had changed. Nathalie even giggled when on the phone to Gabriel, alarming Lila with her unusual behaviour.
Nathalie put the phone down and looked at Lila. There was a pondering look about her that Lila could not work out. Still with a plastic smile plastered on her face, Lila pursued her goal. "Shall I make my way over then?" Again not waiting for a response, as she made her way to the office doors.
"I am sorry Miss Rossi, but Mr Agreste is not available at this time." Nathalie stated with a stern look.
"Oh... I'll wait then." She perched herself on the chaise longue next to Nathalie's desk, still determined to see Gabriel.
"Miss Rossi-" Nathalie started but was cut off by the interruption from the top of the staircase.
"Lila?" Adrien questioned her presence. He had been speaking to Marinette, who had filled him in with events of the day.
"Oh Adrien!" Lila gleefully acknowledged his appearence. Closing the distance between them in record time, one hand behind her back, the other pressing fingers up his chest. A devilish glint in her eye and a seductive smile invaded his personal space. "I heard you're not well... it would explain the silly mistake you made with Marinette yes?"
"Lila, I-"
This time Adrien was cut off by the appearance of Gabriel from his office. Adrien and Lila heard Nathalie putting the phone down. Adrien was relieved but Lila was pissed. Shooting daggers at Nathalie for a swift moment, the plastic smile was back in place when facing Gabriel.
"Miss Rossi, I thought you had come to see me?" Gabriel commented with feigned wonder. One of the ends he needed to wrap up in front of him. Taking the opportunity to make part of the situation clear, Gabriel looked up to his son. "Adrien, please let Marinette know that the car is available if she would like to be picked up from school."
"I-I will father, thank you," Adrien retreated back into his room observing Gabriel and Lila with suspicion.
"Miss Rossi, would you like to join me in my office please." He gestured for her to come through the doors shooting a flirtatious look at Nathalie as Lila walked between the two of them.
Nathalie blushed as she swept a loose strand of hair behind her ear and went back to her room. Reminiscing about how the events of the night before had panned out.
