Reina Todoroki: Daughter Of Ice And Fire Prologue
For thousands of years throughout our history humanity was nothing but normal, but then one day that all changed forever when one person discovered to have extraordinary abilities. A marvelous child was born who radiated light. After that reports of people with superpowers popped up across the globe. A power that soon became known as a Quirk as more and more people suddenly found themselves in possession of powers deep within that have been awakened. No one knew what was causing these unique Quirks. Before long, the supernatural became the total normal. Dreams a reality. The world became a superhuman society with about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability. As cities swirled with chaos and confusion a brand new profession dominated the collective consciousness belonging with regularity. It's an age of heroes.
With the rise of superpowers came an explosive increase in criminal activity. While governments were stuck trying to figure out how to reform laws with Quirks in mind courageous people started performing heroic acts to keep out cities safe. Protecting us against villains who abuse their powers for evil. With overwhelming public support heroes found an official place as peacekeepers overseen by the government. Those who perform the best are paid the most and get all the fame and glory. Their careers and livelihoods depend on their ability to stay in the spotlight.
While the main goal of being a superhero is to protect and serve there are those amongst hero ranks that will do practically anything to get to the top and stay there. Resorting to deplorable methods in order to reach and achieve their ambitious goals.
Enji Todoroki, known to the world as the hero Endeavor, is one such individual.
The Number Two ranked hero in Japan Endeavor is obsessed with surpassing the Number One Hero All Might. For the majority of his career Endeavor has constantly been chasing All Might trying to catch up, but he's never been able to achieve this. So he ultimately decided that if he couldn't do it then he'd create a someone else that could.
Using money and influence Endeavor arranged a marriage between him and a woman called Rei for her Ice Quirk so that he could produce an heir capable of surpassing All Might and secretly to balance the weaknesses and dangers lying within his own Quirk.
'The first three children cultivated between this forced union proved unsuccessful in his eyes for none of them had both abilities. Only either had the fire or ice Quirk.
Then on the forth try success at long last.
A pair of fraternal twins were born. A boy and a girl. Both possessing combined ice and fire Quirks.
Exactly as Endeavor desired.
His personal masterpieces.
But then quite unexpectedly tragedy struck.
Not long after Endeavor began training them at five years old the boy Shoto fell ill. Normally a very healthy and resilient child it surprised all when he suddenly got sick. No one could find the mysterious cause. Doctors did everything they could for him, but Shoto unfortunately did not survive. He ended up dying in less than a week following the ailment hitting him.
A tremendous tragedy, but none more so than what follows afterwards.
With Shoto now out of the picture Endeavor now turns his focus onto Shoto's twin sister Reina, brutally training her to become the new Number One Hero.
Reina whom is so kind, gentle, sweet, and compassionate.
Qualities that Endeavor sees as sheer and disgraceful weakness.
How in the world is she gonna survive this?

Just as a heads up I'm trying to figure out a match up for Reina. I have a general idea of who I want, but I'd like to hear your shared opinions.

Also, watching it gave me a certain idea. What do you guys think of me combining my characters Audrina from Heart Of Atlantis and Danika from this one once we get to this new movie?
Also, I still haven't figured out what Danika's superhero name should be. I really need this figured out because the following chapter after this one will be where her superhero name is chosen for this story. The choices are now down to Tempest and Twilight.
Just a heads up I'm accepting suggestions on numerous shows, books, and movies to write about in the future. You see I'm trying to reach my goal of 100 stories on my profile. Currently I have 5 left to go until I get there. So think it over and if I feel a connection with what you suggest I'll do it.

I've been meaning to get back to this one for a while and only now I've managed to find time and inspiration for it. I'm very satisfied and happy about it.
Right now during this epidemic with the coronavirus that's impacting every nation in the entire world we really do need find whatever sources we possibly can in order to lighten our spirits. Especially those who are unfortunately stuck sick or those locked in self isolation in order to prevent both contraction and spread of the illness. For those of us who have the abilities to do this we have a duty to keep up morale and that's exactly what I wholeheartedly desire these new stories and updates concocted during this time do for you.

I have other grand news! I was a patron at New York Comic Con 2019! Ah! I'd been dying to go for years and now I had the opportunity. The Jokers from Impractical Jokers have been here along with Tom Hiddleston and so many others. Over those few days I actually got my picture taken with a couple of other actors/actresses and some really great panels. It really is so exciting there. This is an opportunity of a lifetime so there's no way in hell that I was going to waste a single second of it. No one ever should with something like this. Ever! ;D
For future preferences I highly recommend that you all keep an eye out for when tickets for New York Comic Con are available for purchase again for next year. This is a huge event and you should jump on it whenever you have the chance. Unfortunately this year it appears like Comic Con might be skipped not just in New York, but also in all it's regular places during the course of scheduled events. I think we all know the reason for it is plain as day.
The coronavirus.
Can't exactly blame with how dreadful things are getting in escalation and the fact that places like the Javits Center in New York have been temporarily converted into makeshift hospitals in order to deal with the overflow of people contracting infections from this rapidly spreading virus that might as well be called a plague at this point. Let's keep fingers crossed that an aim is to have this pass us before then so things can get back on track. If it is then New York Comic Con might be exactly what people need in order to lighten their spirits after all this darkness. Stay safe everyone and long to eventually see you there.
