I just wanted to jump in on this fic and note for its followers what some of you may have surmised already. Unseasonable Acts of Reason is going on hiatus at least until I finish 1863, December. I won't say I'm never coming back to it, but in reviewing the source material, I decided I no longer felt comfortable in the direction I was taking this fic for a lot of reasons, and that's actually what inspired me to start 1863, December. 3

Unseasonable Acts of Reason originally started as a one-shot that I just sort-of kept writing. 1863, December is already comfortably outlined (which I've never done so completely!) and I feel like I can do it justice without writing myself into a corner or getting totally lost. :D

Thank you for reading this fic! Again, I don't know how long this hiatus will last, but I won't call this fic abandoned anytime soon, and I hope to revisit it in the future! :)

If you're interested, I hope you'll check out my new HaraChi work (on Ao3, username Shoujothoughts). If not, I thank you all the same for your AWESOME and kind support! 3

My future fics will all be posted on Ao3 just because I personally find it to be much more user friendly and less virus-ridden. I am very rarely on FF dot net, and so I apologize if I missed replying to your review in a timely manner. Often, I don't see the reviews until it's become awkward to respond, but I truly do appreciate every one!

AND NOW LINES ABOUT THIS AU SO I DON'T BREAK THE FF dot NET RULES ABOUT POSTING ONLY AUTHOR'S NOTES AS CHAPTERS:

Little hands are warm against Sano's fingers-a scrunched, reddened face gaping in displeasure at the eviction from his 9-month home-and Sano knows this love is different.

Chizuru is flagging, every breath more ragged than the last, and she sags against Sano and the bed frame. Only now does he look up from his son's face to realize that the midwife is still tittering about with nervous energy, and the sheets around Chizuru's lower body are rapidly reddening even as her breath shallows.

"No, no, dear, you can't go to sleep yet!" the midwife exclaims. She moves to the foot of the bed.

"Chizuru-!" Sano, arm still around his wife, shakes her, shakes her again.

But Chizuru's eyes have slipped closed entirely.
