Hey everyone, did you miss me? Well, I've got nothing else to say today other than let's get started.

I own neither Devil May Cry nor Fairy Tail.

Lightning Storm

It was a dark night in this town. A man is running for his life through an ally way, something chasing him. The man was soon cornered in a dead end, he turned around and saw the thing chasing him, a purple lizard-like demon, its mouth was drooling for it was hungry.

"Someone, help me." The terrified man began softly. "Please! HELP ME!"

The demon pounced toward him and the man closed his eyes; however, the sound he heard was that of metal slicing through flesh. He opened his eyes and was surprised to see the demon completely headless, it fell over and behind it, standing in the moonlight was none other than Erza Scarlet with a sword seeping with the demon's blood.

"Leave now." She said in commanding tone.

"Oh god, what was that?" was all the terrified man could say.

"I said, leave now. If you value your life." Erza commanded. She only said that as three more demons identical to the last one appeared out of the shadows of the alleyway.

Erza sliced a locked door near the wall, and the man ran inside. "Now then." Erza began as she requipped two swords, one in each hand, "Shall we begin?" She said with a sly grin.

The three demons snarled at her as they jumped toward the Fairy Queen, only for them to get struck with multiple bolts of blue lightning, completely surprising Erza. Erza looked at the scorched demons and looked up to a rooftop. She was not alone; standing in front of the moon, shined by the moonlight was a woman. A young woman around Erza's age; she wore black leather pants, boots, with a black leather shirt and jacket, her shirt appeared to have a lightning bolt-shaped cut down the middle between her breasts. The blonde hair flowing in the light breeze, the woman chuckled a bit and gave a light grin.

When Erza looked up toward the woman with swords at the ready, the woman had a blue electric aura surround her.

"Lightning?" Erza questioned.

Flashback

Two days ago, Erza had taken an S-class quest issued by a church in a local town near Magnolia, more specifically the priest.

"It was terrible." The middle-aged priest described to Erza as the two we're inside the church.

"A demon disguised as a woman?" Erza questioned as she sat on one of the benches. "Are you certain it's not a lightning wizard."

"Absolutely." The priest confirmed. "The town fell into ruins as soon as that so-called woman arrived, witnesses saw her commanding demons."

"Go on." Erza told him, listening on every word.

"And I saw it too my dear." The priest continued sounding more scared. "That woman commanded lightning, and she used it to burn many of our people of our town to death." He put his hands to his face, looking quite terrified, while Erza had a serious look on her face.

Back to reality.

"So you're the Lightning demon that has been plaguing this town?" Erza called up to the apparent she-demon who merely grinned.

"Have you nothing to say?" Erza asked. "I was told that you have used your power to slay innocent people, as a proud member of the Fairy Tail guild I will not allow this."

The blonde woman than casted lightning from her hands down to the alleyway for Erza. Erza blocked the attack by crossing her blades and broke it off. She then jumped from one wall to another, ascending for the rooftop as the woman continued to shoot lightning toward her. Erza was able to block and avoid all the attacks, she made it to the top of the roof and leaped up and fell to the roof and slammed the swords into the ground.

The woman jumped up and pulled out a weapon that had a menacing look to it. It was a large, single-edged blade with a red gem in the middle of it. The woman fell and brought the blade down on Erza, who blocked it with her sword in her right hand.

Erza tried to bring her left sword to the woman's side, only for the woman to kick the arm away. Erza backed close to the edge of the roof as the woman came close to her with the massive blade, charged with her own lightning. Erza blocked the blade successfully and pushed herself away from the edge, pushing her opponent back.

Both women clashed their blades with each other. The electric blade of the she-demon was very strong, but Erza was strong with her own weapons as well. Both women clashed and struck with their swords, but neither could get a hit in. The woman jumped backwards and landed on a chimney, she kept smiling.

"I see your enjoying this." Erza commented. "You won't be for long." Erza said darkly.

The blonde then put her blade away and pulled out two pistols in each hand. She charged the guns with her lightning and fired. The bullets hit the ground in front of Erza's boots and caused a small explosion, forcing her to shield her eyes. When the dust cleared, Erza looked to find the woman had vanished.

"Who was that?" Erza asked herself before thinking. There was something odd about that one, the way she fought. With a sword and guns, almost like… Dante.

Fairy Tail Guild Hall, the next day.

"Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!"

Many of the guild wizards we're all cheering this as they surrounded a table, the only occupants at that table being Dante and Cana, both we're chugging down large mugs of beer. When they finished, they both slammed the mugs on the table, resulting in even more cheering.

"That's twenty-six." Dante said, as rubbed some liquid from his face "You sure you wanna keep going?"

"Rock on bro!" Cana said with a red face, followed by a hiccup. "I can do this *hiccup* all day. *hiccup*"

"Okay, one more round!" Dante called as more beer was poured into their mugs, and they chugged once again. When Dante finished he slammed it on the table again "That's number twenty-seven." He said, though he was surprised he didn't hear a reply. He turned to Cana and looked with wide eyes.

Cana's face was more red than it had ever been, she was wearing the mug on her head like a crown. "Hey! Where'd that red sword *hiccup* go?" she drunkenly asked while lazily wiggling in her seat "You know? I *hiccup* freaking Love you guys! *hiccup* Grandma is that you?" Cana then fell to the ground with swirls in her eyes and a lazy smile.

"Well she's gonna sleep well tonight." Dante commented

Happy was in a referee out fit and blew a whistle "Cana is down!"

"The winner is Dante!" Macao cheered as he held up Dante's arm like in a wrestling match. The whole guild cheered.

"That was so freaking manly!" Elfman yelled with a large grin

"Please, please. Hold your applause." Dante said as he got up and struggled a bit, the beer was now taking it's toll on him.

"Hold on, I gotcha." Grey said as he put himself on Dante's arm and helped him to the bar and Dante sat on a table.

"I've never seen anyone out-chug Cana before." Lucy said as she came up to them.

"I guess I have a higher tolerance than her." Dante replied

"Well she's definitely not gonna let you live this down, that's for sure." Happy commented, as he was no longer in his referee outfit. Cana, meanwhile, was now being escorted back to Fairy Hills by Levy and Juvia.

"Hey, where's the flame-brain? Haven't seen him all-day?" Dante asked

"Knowing him he's probably doing something stupid." Grey commented

"Yeah, probably." Dante agreed as he sweat dropped, with Lucy laughing at his comment.

"I see you're having fun."

Dante, Lucy, Grey, and Happy turned to the source of the voice. Erza had just walked in.

"Oh hey Erza." Lucy greeted "Back from your job?"

"Not really." Erza replied. "I only came here to ask Dante some questions."

"You're still on the job?" Grey asked, to which Erza nodded.

"So what do you wanna ask?" Dante asked

"The quest I took was to help a church exterminate a demon that has been plaguing this town for quite some time, however this demon managed to get away from me." Erza explained.

"Poor bastard." Dante said. "Guess you're gonna be hunting him down till he's dead huh? Well he's got my sympathy."

"I wouldn't want to be hunted down by Erza." Happy commented with Grey and Lucy having comical looks of fear at that thought.

Erza gave an amused smile before speaking. "Dante, you wouldn't happen to know of a she-demon who uses lightning would you?"

"Lightning?"

"Yes, she also wielded a rather large demonic sword, along with dual pistols in each hand." Erza explained

"Well, demons have fingers right? That's really all you need to hold a sword and a gun." Dante commented

"Yes but she wielded them with great skill, and charged her own lightning into them. Most impressive if I must admit."

"Can't say that I can help you. Demons can come in all shapes and sizes, sorry Red."

"No worries, thanks anyway." Erza then walked out to the exit.

"You're leaving already?" Lucy asked

"Yes, I am still on a job." Erza commented but she remembered something and turned her head toward Dante "Oh I forgot to mention, this demon, she wielded her weapons almost like you do. She also had the appearance of a woman with blonde hair."

Dante had a serious look on his face.

"A blonde demon woman?" Grey questioned

"You sure it's not you Lucy?" Happy jokingly asked

"When was the last time you saw me using a sword or guns?" Lucy angrily replied "And I can't use lightning either!"

"This lady sound pretty interesting." Dante said "Maybe you should introduce us sometime, and I can teach her how to use those guns."

"That won't happen." Erza commented as she left out the doors "The next time I see her, she's dead." Happy, Lucy, and Grey had chills sent down their spine.

"Damn, your one scary lady." Dante commented as Erza left.

"Lightning she-demon." Lucy said "Someone who can go on par with Erza. Sounds like she could be trouble."

"Speaking of trouble…" Dante commented, he raised three fingers "Three, two, one."

"DANTE!" Natsu yelled as he crashed through the ceiling "I'm gonna beat you this time!" He yelled as he fell with a fist gunning straight for Dante.

Dante merely caught him by the wrist, and used the momentum from Natsu falling to swing him around and send him flying through the wall on the other side of the guildhall.

"Oh, geez." Lucy said. "There he goes again."

"And we're on the same team with him, it's almost embarrassing." Grey added as he and Lucy both sweat dropped.

"At least he's determined." Happy commented "Right Dante?" The blue cat gained a curious look when he saw Dante deep in thought; Grey and Lucy noticed this as well.

Lightning huh? Dante thought, he got a amused smile having an idea who this she-demon was.

"Hey Dante." Mira called from behind the bar with a phone in her hand "We got a phone call for you."

"Wonder who it is." Lucy wondered as Mira handed Dante the phone.

"Yo?" Dante spoke into the phone, when he heard the voice on the other end he sighed. "So it was you. I knew it."

It was in the afternoon, the sun was setting and the sky was a mix of red, orange, and yellow. Erza was back at the church owned by the priest who issued the quest to her.

"You still have not slain that demon?!" The priest asked

"Not yet." Erza replied. "But rest assured I will."

"This must be dealt with immediately!" The priest commanded. "If this demon isn't stopped, the damage could spread to other towns! She's terrible!"

"I do not believe she's as evil as you make her out to be." Erza commented

"What are you talking about? She's a demon!"

"I am aware of that, yet she had an opportunity to end my life, but she didn't." Erza remembered her fight with that demon. She could have shot Erza, but she shot the ground instead and left.

"How can you understand the motives of this creature?! She is an unholy abomination!"

"Do not worry, I will deal with this Demon; but I suggest that you leave." Erza commented, "She is here."

At that moment, there was an electric current that zapped all the chandelier lights above and they all shorted out. Once that was done, the blonde she-demon crashed through the ceiling and landed in front of the priest.

"So you decided to reveal yourself." Erza said as she got up, the woman looked to Erza than back to the priest, who was looking much nervous. Erza stood in front of the priest "Let us finish our battle." Erza stated. She then requipped into her Black Wing armor. "Go, now!"

The blonde woman eyed the priest who was leaving, only for Erza to stand in front of her. "Did you not hear? I am your opponent." Erza than swung her sword only for the woman to backflip and avoid it, Erza flew forward and slashed again, but the woman jumped high to one of the chandeliers and pulled out a pistol and begun to fire electric bullets to Erza, who was able to block and slash them all away with her sword.

Erza flew upwards and slashed at the chandelier, only for the woman to fall back, she fired both her pistols towards Erza who flew down and slammed her elbow into the woman and they both impacted the ground, leaving a bit of a crater.

The woman was able to deliver a kick to Erza's right temple, forcing her off of her, she then grabbed Erza by the shoulders and used her enhance strength to throw her into one of the pillars.

The woman breathed a few breaths, before a bolt of lightning shot out from the pillar, forcing her to stand back. She had a surprised look on her face as she turned to see the dust clear and Erza now in her Lightning Empress Armor.

"You seem surprised." Erza said. "This armor not only gives me the ability to use lightning, but also grants me resistance to most electric-based attacks; your own element won't be as effective as before."

The woman gave an amused smile and drew her massive blade once more. Both woman charged and clashed sword with spear. They blocked and parried each attack that was dealt. They stood on the benches of the church as they continued to clash. Sparks flew, both of friction and of lightning as their own electric weapons struck.

They both leapt back to opposite ends of the church. The woman charged her sword of her demon lightning to a large amount, almost till the entire weapon was covered. Erza mirrored the action with her spear. The blue glow from the large amounts of lightning illuminated the entire church. After staring down, quite a while they charged. Both weapons clashed. The resulting clash sent a massive stream of blue lightning straight up, breaking through the roof and leading directly into the sky. This caught the attention of a certain red-coated individual outside the church.

The dust settled and both women we're panting, both quite exhausted "You are indeed… quite skilled." Erza admitted. "But I will not… loose to you." She readied herself, the woman did the same, however, just before they could fight again….

A certain, large sword was sent flying like a spear and impacted one of the benches in between them. Both looked to the entrance to the one who threw it.

"If you're gonna continue like that, maybe you should go find some underground club or something." Dante commented "You're little show could probably bring in some money."

The blonde merely sighed as she walked closer to the entrance.

To say Erza was surprised would be an understatement. "Dante! That's the dem…"

"You're late." The blonde woman spoke to Dante.

"Am I?" Dante asked. "What time is it?" Dante looked around "Too bad, doesn't look like there's a clock around here."

"I told you not to be late, you never did listen."

"I'm here aren't I?" Dante said

"Hold on a minute." Erza commented to herself.

"I mean, sure, everything's okay since neither of us are hurt." The blonde began. "But, what would you have done if one of us was killed, what about then?"

"Relax, neither of you are gonna die that easily." Dante commented.

"Excuse me!" Erza yelled, getting both their attention. "What is going on here?"

"What do you mean 'what is going on here'?" Dante asked

"Is this some kind of joke?" Erza questioned. "You two know each other?" Erza then pointed her spear to the woman "Who are you? It's now evident that you can speak."

"Don't just stand there, say something will you." The woman told Dante.

"Hey don't look at me, you're the one who opened your big mouth." Dante said "And it looked like you we're having fun with that little misunderstanding."

"Yeah maybe but…"

"'Misunderstanding'?" Erza questioned. "Perhaps you should explain this from the beginning so that I understand it."

"Yeah, I'm sorry I had to put you on; you can call me Trish, and I'm Dante's partner."

"Ex-partner." Dante corrected immediately. "Now these days we work independently."

"That's not a very nice way to put it." Trish commented

"It was your idea wasn't it?" Dante said as he walked inside with his arms crossed. "And we probably work more efficiently apart."

"Are you pouting?" Trish asked in a somewhat flirtatious tone. "Maybe you're lonely being all on your own."

"Don't talk down to me like I'm a kid, and I'm not alone alright? I joined a guild." Dante replied. "I totally dig it, and I can eat all the pizza I want."

"Didn't I tell you for years to go easy on the pizza? And don't tell me that's all your eating everyday, god you're pathetic you know that." Trish said.

"Please don't talk to me like you're my mom, you're not the maternal type."

Erza slammed her spear into the ground getting both their attention. "That's enough! I didn't ask about your personal lives, I want answers now."

"Aw, if you're feeling a bit jealous honey, you should let yourself express that." Tirsh commented with a sassy smile.

"Say what?!" Erza questioned with an anime anger mark on her head. "I am not jealous! Besides…" She whispered to herself "… There's already someone else."

"What was that?" Trish jokingly asked

"Nothing!" Erza commented immediately. She turned to Dante "Now, as for you…"

"Like I said, don't look me." Dante said.

Trish then gave a light laugh; the situation itself was indeed very funny. Erza lowered her spear and gave a light smile, letting the situation soak in. Though there was something that she needed to know.

"You knew it was her, didn't you?" Erza asked Dante, to which he nodded "Why didn't you explain it before?"

"Well, I think you can understand, that in this business, people will want to test themselves against a powerful enemy." Dante explained. "Can't say that I blame her, since neither of us have gotten much of a work out from our opponents."

"And when I saw you, I thought the mighty Titania would give me more fun than my quarry." Trish added.

"Your quarry?" Erza asked

Trish then got a serious look of her own. "Why don't you come on out?" She called. "You've been watching us all alone haven't you?"

From behind the massive organ pipes at the back of the church, was none other than the priest of the church, with glowing eyes.

"I see." Erza commented, now understanding the situation.

"I'm here at the request of another person." Trish began. "Since this strange priest showed up, this town has become a den for demons."

"And he felt that he was in danger so he hired me." Erza concluded "Clever, I admit."

"Don't misunderstand me." The demon-priest said. "Putting an end to you three do-gooders will be easy, just thought I might avoid the hassle of doing so." The priest then began to step up.

"A demon disguised as a priest, how ironic." Erza commented

"Now that you know what I am I have no choice." He announced. "It's a hassle, but your all going to have to die here!" He then glowed white and tore out of his human disguise to reveal his true self; a giant white ape-like being with white wings and a large beard and horns and red eyes.

None of the three heroes was even slightly intimidated. "Heh, tell me Dante, what do you think?" Trish asked with an amused smile.

"Unfortunately for him, since this horny little devil is new to town, he probably doesn't know what people like us do for a living." Dante said.

"To think I was fooled by such a weakling, I can almost cry." Erza joked

"ENOUGH OF YOUR JOKES!" The demon yelled as he charged in.

Trish charged her sword with lighting, Erza readied her spear and Lightning Empress Armor, and Dante pulled out Nevan to add to the mix.

"Joke's on you pall!" All three said as they blasted lightning; which exploded the entire back of the church.

Five minutes later

"Fairy Tail huh?" Trish asked as she, Erza, and Dante walked away from the town.

"Yep, I only joined just over a week ago." Dante said. "Best choice I ever made. I'm now actually starting to earn a profit."

"That's a first." Trish commented, resulting in Dante sweat dropping.

"So tell me Trish, what do you plan to do now?" Erza asked

"Not sure, the whole Devil Hunting business is starting to run a bit dry, this is the first job I've done in a couple weeks." Trish replied.

"Maybe you could consider joining a guild yourself." Dante advised. "There a lot more fun than you think."

"Maybe, that sounds like a good idea." Trish said.

"You know, I have been thinking." Erza began. "Seeing as you are now considering joining a guild Trish, and you seem to know Dante, perhaps you could join Fairy Tail?"

Trish stopped walking for just a moment, even Dante was slightly surprised. "Really?" Trish asked

"We're always looking to accept new members." Erza replied.

"Just warning you." Dante began. "You're gonna get a lot of collateral damage if she joins."

"You're one to talk." Trish joked

"You'd definitely fit right in." Erza commented, well aware of the collateral damage most of her friends in Fairy Tail cause.

Trish put her finger to her chin to think. "Hmm, you know what? Why not? Could be fun."

"Glad to hear it." Erza commented with a smile

"Oh boy." Dante sighed

"At least this way I can keep an eye on Dante here; and maybe even a rematch from the mighty Erza." She suggested

"I'll be happy to take you up on that." Erza said with a smile.

Dante was already walking back. Trish is in now, this could be either really good, or really bad; Natsu's gonna really enjoy this. What's next?

It was night once again, the moon was covered behind the clouds of another town. On top of the rooftops stood a man, who could not be made out in the darkness. The man looked down onto a destroyed building.

"So you're no longer here." The man said, as he looked to a broken sign that read 'Devil May Cry'.

"This just means we will meet again somewhere else, and I hope you're ready; for your sake." The man said.

The moon began to emerge from the clouds and shed some faint white light onto the roofs, it shined at the man. He carried a katana with him, wore a blue robe and had white hair; with eyes, eyes that we're more cold and dark than the coldest night in winter.

"I'll see you soon, brother."
