Hello one and all. Sorry to keep you waiting. Before we start I have a few things to clear up.

First, I know I've said this but; I'm well aware of the cannon Devil May Cry timeline (DMC3-DMC1-Anime-DMC4-DMC2). But I'm making up my own timeline, so expect some contradictions. Again, this is MY OWN ORIGINAL timeline. Just wanted to clarify that.

Second, in this timeline, I'm making Trish's sword, Sparda; and the Perfect Amulet separate artifacts.

Just wanted to clear those things up. So, let's get started.

Family History

Natsu and the others have brought the unconscious Dante back to the guildhall. To say many of them we're surprised was an understatement. Trish and Wendy we're particularly shocked themselves.

After bringing him to the infirmary, Wendy asked if she could heal him; but she was surprised to find that he had no injuries. Trish was now looking over her unconscious partner while Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Grey, and Happy we're explaining the situation to Makarov while the rest of the guild listened.

"Hmm. Strange that he would attack then retreat." Makarov observed, sitting on the bar after listening to what happened.

"He said he had what he needed." Erza replied. "But I also think he was letting us know he's out there and can attack us whenever he chooses."

"That guy was definitely freaky. He moved so fast, it was almost like he was wind." Lucy added.

"Not just the way he moved, there was something odd about him." Erza said. "Like this feeling around him. Not like a normal person, more like some kind of monster; the way he felt, it was cold and dark."

"Sounds like some fancy dark wizard who needs a manly kick in the ass." Elfman declared.

"Man, I can't believe we let that guy blindside us." Grey stated with frustration.

"In your defense, he must have been a strong and powerful opponent to defeat one such as Dante." Juvia told him.

"Guy pulled a cheap shot." Natsu said.

"I'm sure we'll see this man again soon." Makarov replied. "I'm more interested in this transformation Dante underwent."

"Are you sure it wasn't a takeover?" Mira asked, given she was an expert at Takeover magic.

"No, it definitely was not." Erza answered.

"Seems like Dante was hiding some information from us." Carla said. "I knew he was."

"What about this other guy though?" Wendy asked. "Did he say why he attacked Dante?"

"No, but he did say he was Dante's brother." Erza replied.

That statement was a major shock to the present audience

"His brother?!" Cana and Levy asked at the same time.

"It's a load of crap if you ask me." Grey contradicted. "Guy probably said that just to mess with us."

"I don't think so." Natsu contradicted. "He did smell a lot like Dante."

"Did you get this man's name?" Makarov asked.

A single 'ahem' caused the wizards to all turn around to a certain she-demon who had just arrived.

"Trish? Shouldn't you be with Dante?" Happy asked

"He's fine, I couldn't help but overhear though." Trish replied. "This man; blue robe, a katana blade, white hair, eyes that look like they could bore a hole into your very soul?"

"Yes." Erza surprisingly answered. "How did you…?"

"His name is Virgil." Trish said. "And he is Dante's brother; his twin brother in fact."

The wizards we're taken back even further by that little revelation.

"Twin brother?!" Lucy exclaimed

"Are you for real!?" Happy, Natsu, and Grey both yelled.

"Are you certain of this Trish?" The surprised Makarov asked.

"Yes, Dante told me so himself."

"So this whole thing is just some fight between two brothers?" Natsu questioned.

"I'm not entirely sure." Trish confessed. "He never told me the specifics."

"Did you meet this guy before?" Levy asked.

"Once, he wanted my sword; I fought him, and I almost died, but Dante and Lady both got me out of there."

"He almost killed you?" Wendy questioned. "Why is he doing this? If he's really Dante's brother…"

"You're gonna have to ask him. He should be awake soon."

"Of course." Carla scoffed. "I should have known that man would bring trouble."

"Hey back off, will ya?" Trish told the white cat. "Sure he's secretive, but he deserves a lot more respect, he's been through all sorts of Hells."

"What do you mean by that?" Lucy asked.

"It's best if you hear it from him."

Infirmary.

Dante's eyes began to slowly open to a light. He had to briefly close them again to prevent himself from seeing spots. He remembered how he got here, he lost to Virgil; yet somehow, he felt extremely energetic, like he could run a marathon and fight an army of demons at the same time.

"Bout time you woke up." A male voice spoke.

Dante slowly turned his head to see the Iron Dragon Slayer sitting on the bed next to his.

"I was getting tired of babysitting a near-dead man." Gajeel cracked.

"And I was having a nice dream involving me on a tropical island with tons of babes." Dante joked. "So, you been here the whole time?"

"Nah, you're blonde girlfriend's been here; but she asked me to cover for her."

"She's not my girlfriend." Dante replied as he tried to get up, he soon found himself without his shirt; his red Fairy Tail guild emblem on his shoulder was clearly visible.

His jacket was thrown at him. "Get up, the old man's expecting you." Gajeel said.

Dante sighed as he had a good idea of what was to expect next.

Gajeel then helped Dante into the main hall, he sat down on a bench and was surrounded by most of the members.

"Let me guess. Virgil?"

"You mean you're twin brother? Yes." Carla confirmed in a accusing tone.

"What the hell is that guy's damage?!" Natsu exclaimed.

"If he's your brother why is he attacking you?" Lucy asked.

Dante got all sorts of questions coming to him, but before he could answer, Makarov spoke up.

"Enough!" The guild master exclaimed. "Dante just got out from the infirmary, I'm sure he has an explanation ready, but let him talk and at his own pace."

"Thanks gramps." Dante began. "Alright, before I get started though, I have to ask you all something; how many of you heard of the Legend of Sparda?"

Natsu quickly raised his hand with Happy. Erza explained the details of the story that she heard from Morrison during their job in which they met Dante; the demon who turned on his own kind to protect the human world, the Dark Knight.

"I have myself heard of the Legend of Sparda." Makarov said. "But what does that have to do with all of this.

"Because I'm his son." Dante responded simply.

The entire guild was silent for about a whole minute.

"WHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT!?"

That scream echoed from outside the entire Guild Hall.

"FOR REAL!?" Natsu, Grey, Lucy, Happy, Elfman, Cana, and Levy all yelled at the same time.

"YOU'RE SPARDA'S SON!?" Mira, Gajeel, Carla, Wendy, Juvia ,even Makarov all yelled as well.

"Yep." Dante responded simply.

"So then…" Lucy began while shaking. "That Virgil guy…"

"…Is also Sparda's son." Dante finished.

"You're…. you're…. a demon?" Wendy stuttered.

"Half demon." Dante corrected. "My father was a demon, but my mother was human."

"So… what's the deal with your brother?" Natsu asked.

Dante sighed. "After spending some time here in the human world, my old man settled down and married a human woman named Eve. They had two kids, me and Virgil, and for our first few years it seemed like a normal family. But then one day, our old man decided to leave, and he didn't come back."

"You're dad abandoned you?" Grey questioned.

Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy we're thinking at this; something very similar happened to each of them.

"I don't need the details, but mom told us he had something important to do; it wasn't until recently that I learned he died doing what he was doing."

"I'm very sorry to hear that." Wendy said in a sincere tone.

"After that it was just the three of us for a few years; some time later we we're attacked."

"A dark guild?" Erza asked.

"Demons." Dante corrected.

"Why would Demons attack you though?" Levy asked.

"Well, for humans; what Sparda did was something that made him a legend. But from the Demons' point-of-view it was betrayal and an unforgivable crime. They saw me and my bro as 'half-breeds' and wanted us dead, not just for bearing human blood, but also the blood of Sparda. My mom died in that attack and Virgil and I we're separated."

Each guild wizard had his or her own look of sympathy, even Carla.

"It wasn't until a few years ago, that I ran into Virgil again." Dante continued. "But… he wasn't the same brother I knew as a kid, something happened to him, I don't know what, but he became something else."

"What is Vergil's problem?" Natsu asked.

"He thinks that the only thing that matters in life is power, and without it you're nothing. He doesn't care who gets in his way or how he does it; if it involves obtaining more power, he'll do it without a second thought."

"But if you're his brother can't you just say he's wrong?" Happy asked.

"I tried, several times, and he tried to run me through with his sword each time." Dante corrected.

"How did he get that train of thought?" Erza asked.

Dante shrugged a bit. "I don't know the specifics, but my guess; he found out who are dad really was and he got some kind of superiority complex. He wants as much as power as possible to surpass our father and become the ruler of the human and demon world, because that's how he thinks it can work."

"You ask me that's a load of crap." Natsu contradicted.

"Same here." Grey agreed.

"Regardless." Makarov began. "Do you think he may come again?"

"It's possible, but I'm not sure." Dante replied. "Virgil is the furthest thing from predictable, but when he does, I don't want anyone in this guild to fight him.

"No way!" Natsu exclaimed, slamming his flaming fist into his palm. "That guy blindsided me, not to mention he hurt my friend. If he show's his face I'm gonna put the smack-down on him!"

"Get in line!" Grey added. He too wanted a piece of payback at Virgil.

"No. You guys are not gonna fight him." Dante told him.

"Hey! Don't tell me who I can or can't…" Natsu began.

"Listen to me!" Dante yelled, catching everyone off-guard. "Virgil is not someone you can trade fists with. He'll tear through you before you could even blink."

Dante summoned his sword. "You see this?"

"You're sword?" Lucy questioned.

"It's a Devil Arm." Dante began. "And it used to belong to our Father, Rebellion. Vergil's got one to. It's called Yamato, it's made of the same kind of metal, and it also belonged to our father. When Virgil picks up his blade, dozens of demons are killed in a split second."

Several wizards we're surprised at this. Someone strong like that? How could he even exist.

"If or when Virgil comes back, just back off and leave him to me." Dante told them.

Makarov gave a deep sigh. "Very well."

"Master?" Erza questioned.

"I'm well aware that if even one of my children is danger, we all must strive to assist him or her. However, if Virgil is really as strong as Dante makes him out to be, I won't be risking any of your lives fighting him. Should he be sited do not engage him, that goes for all of you."

Most of the wizards nodded in agreement, save for Natsu who was clenching his fists in anger.

Dante stared up at the ceiling, deep in thought. He felt his chest and knew Virgil had taken his mother's amulet, why? What the hell are you up to this time?

Unknown location.

Virgil sat in a chair and held two objects in his hand; one of them was the silver and red amulet he took from Dante; the other was near identical only it was gold and red.

"So… you've involved yourself in a guild brother. That's surprising." Virgil said to himself as he got up. "Let's see what Fairy Tail has to offer then, shall we?"

Virgil then began to walk out; it was time to do some researching. Find out why Fairy Tail is so special.

Done.

Again, this is MY OWN ORIGINAL DMC TIMELINE! Just making that clear.

I know that Trish and Virgil never met, but again, I'm making up my own timeline.

Thanks for listening.

See you next time.
