A Son of Sparda and a Son of Igneel

Dante and Vergil both stood in their respective Devil Trigger forms; Dante had a dark red aura surrounding him, while Vergil was surrounded by a dark blue aura. As they glared on; all the Fairy Tail wizards watched this with great intensity. After a few seconds, which seemed like an eternity, both demon-brothers' eyes widened as they zoomed to each other and clashed blades. The clash created a small shockwave that echoed throughout the chamber, it cracked a few walls and blew some people back.

Dante and Vergil both flew high to the center of the chamber and towards each other clashing their swords. They clashed at such intense speeds it seemed like sharp blurs, each clash created a small shockwave that echoed within the chamber. Dante flew back to the far wall on the right side, landed on his feet and launched to Vergil, who mirrored his brother's action on the right wall. As they continued to fly and clash, streaks of red and blue we're seen bouncing back and forth throughout the chamber. Everyone watched this with a mix of amazement and shock.

"Whoa!" Grey stated. "Their moving so fast, I can't even see them!"

"I can't even pick up their scents at this rate of pace!" Gajeel added.

Dante flew above Vergil and brought his black Rebellion down, which Vergil blocked with his black Yamato. Dante forced his brother down to the ground, creating a crater. Dante gave a fierce roundhouse, knocking Vergil to the wall on the other side of the chamber and leaving an impression. Dante sent a dark red wave with the sweep of his sword to Vergil, who responded with thrusting his own sword forward and sending multiple dark blue bolts of blade energy that sliced through Dante's wave, creating an explosion. The force was enough to shatter the chains that kept any of the wizards bound, who we're now free.

"You're new stature has not changed your failed tactics, brother." Vergil said as he flew to his younger brother. When he was about to slice at Dante's neck, he quickly ducked and in a swift motion put Vergil into a headlock.

"Let's take this outside!" Dante declared as he flew straight upwards with his brother, smashing through the ceiling, literally taking the fight outside.

The wizards then took the moment to help their fallen comrades. Juvia and Cana quickly ran to Grey and helped him to his feet; Levy did the same for Gajeel. Elfman, Freed, Bigslow, and Evergreen came to Lady and Trish, the four wizards removed the rubble that pinned them down and helped them up.

Loke helped Lucy to her feet. "Lucy, are you okay?" He asked with concern.

"I'm fine, but what about Natsu?" Lucy asked.

Erza and Mira we're with Happy and Carla, who was with Wendy as they looked down at Natsu. They could see the bleeding, diagonal gash on his chest that Vergil left when he cut him. Natsu was barley breathing. Mira had her mouth covered while Erza just looked shocked; Happy had tears that we're about to roll down. Wendy, however; her face was mostly covered by her hair, but look closely enough and one could see tears rolling down her face.

"Natsu…" The Sky Dragon Slayer breathed. "I'm… sorry… I'm sorry…." She cried.

"It wasn't your fault Wendy." Mira tried to console.

"Yes it was." Wendy stated as she continued to cry.

"Stop blaming yourself for every little…" Carla tried.

"I tried to stop Vergil, but I couldn't…." Wendy replied. "I couldn't and… Natsu he… he tried to protect me and…" She couldn't finish as she continued to weep.

"What happened was Natsu's choice." Happy stated as tears we're in his eyes. "He did what he had to protect you. He always tries to protect the people he cares about, that's who Natsu is."

Wendy wasn't really comforted by that, but Grey approached the group.

"Don't worry, he's still alive." He stated as he looked down at the Fire Dragon Slayer who was breathing loudly. "He ain't gonna die that easy; Natsu's as tough as nails."

Wendy whipped the tears from her face when she saw that he was still breathing. There was still hope for him.

"Look, I hate to be the kill-joy, or whatever, here…" Gajeel began. "But what are we gonna do about this 'sibling rivalry' going on outside?"

"You think Dante's gonna be okay?" Levy asked as they all looked up to the hole.

"I sure hope so." Lucy hopped.

"I don't think he can handle it by himself though." Trish stated, earning surprised looks from everyone.

"Hey, you of all people should know just how strong Dante is!" Cana angrily told Trish.

"I'm not doubting him!" Trish hastily replied. "You don't get it; Vergil shows no sign of remorse or mercy; of all the times they fought, Dante has never once won a one-on-one battle with him."

"What?!" Grey, Freed, Bigslow, and Loke questioned.

"She's right." Lady added. "And even then, Vergil's likely to have more experience with his Devil Trigger than Dante, this battle could go either way, but I think Vergil has the advantage here."

All the wizards looked at each other with concern evident on their faces.

"Well, we're not just gonna sit here and do nothing, right?" Lucy questioned. "I don't know about you, but I'm gonna help Dante. He may be a jackass some times, but he's still a member of Fairy Tail, and that's what we do, we help each other out! Now who's with me?!"

"That's my girl." Loke thought with a smile on his face. "I'm with you Lucy."

"Count me in to." Trish added.

"I want a piece of that freak as much as the next guy." Grey said.

"If my Grey is fighting, then I will fight to." Juvia stated.

"You guys ain't leaving me out of this one." Gajeel said with an eager grin.

"If Vergil wishes to take arms against this guild, then he shall face the wrath of the Thunder Legion." Freed said, standing with his other two comrades who nodded in agreement.

"Then let's go!" Elfman exclaimed. "We gotta man-up and help our friend!"

"What he said!" Cana stated in agreement.

Mira also stood up with a look of determination on her face, as did Erza who could only smile. It was just like this guild, to stand with their friends even if the whole world was against them.

"Alright, then let's go!" Erza commanded. "Wendy, you stay here and help Natsu; Lady, Happy, and Carla will watch over both of them. Everyone else, let's go help Dante."

With that said, the guild wizards, along with Trish, all ran out through the main door, hopping to get outside as fast as they could to help Dante in his fight against his twisted brother. Once the chamber was empty, Lady gave a slight chuckle.

"Dante sure picked one heck of a guild to join." Lady cracked.

"Aye, that's Fairy Tail for ya." Happy agreed.

"This guild may be rambunctious at times, but they still value all their comrades, and that is truly something to admire." Carla said with a small smile on her face.

Wendy still looked down at the injured Natsu with worry; she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to Lady who gave her a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, you're a Dragon Slayer too, right?" Wendy nodded at Lady. "Then you got this, you can help him. Just have more faith in yourself."

Wendy smiled at Lady's encouragement. "Thanks Lady."

"Sure thing kid." Lady replied as she patted Wendy's head, who them put her hands on Natsu's wound and began to use her healing magic.

Outside, it looked like dawn was approaching as red and blue streaks soared over the castle and the two Devil Trigger Sons of Sparda continued their epic battle.

Vergil came in with a slash, which Dante blocked. But Vergil vanished, only to reappear behind Dante, who was just barley able to block his sword strike; the process repeated over and over has Vergil kept disappearing and reappearing at super speeds all over Dante, who was just fast enough to block his sword attacks. Finally, Dante had enough; with the next sword strike Dante kneed Vergil in the face and then gave a cartwheel kick to the jaw, sending Vergil flying higher into the sky. Dante flew upward at a faster pace and stopped just above Vergil and gave a strong punch across the face to send Vergil falling back down towards the castle. When he landed, an entire tower crumbled off and fell.

Dante then flew towards the dust cloud, but Vergil flew out of it before Dante could make it; he gave an elbow to Dante's abs as he flew towards him and a powerful round-house which sent Dante skidding across the entire castle rooftop, but he dug his feet into the ground to stabilize himself. He flew straight for Vergil as his Rebellion glowed a bright red, and Vergil's Yamato glowed a bright blue. Both swords clashed and locked. The two brothers glared as they struggled against each other, trying to push the other back; but their strength seemed even. Red and blue sparks began to surge from their locked blades like lightning, which combined into a purple from their respective energies. The sparks blew brighter and stronger as the continued to struggle.

"I can do this all day Vergil!" Dante stated.

"No you can't." Vergil contradicted. "You will give way to fatigue eventually, and even then, I know most of your moves, we spared together when we we're little, remember?"

Dante gave Vergil a head-butt and knocked him back. "That's a little something new!" Dante said as he then slammed Rebellion into Vergil sending him soaring through another castle tower and falling to the ground. Dante flew straight for Vergil, but a blue energy wave soared straight for Dante, who flew just under it but didn't react in time to see Vergil's clawed hand grab Dante's face and slam him into the ground. Dante tried to get up, but Vergil pinned him down with one foot.

"You are strong, but you cannot defeat me, brother." Vergil told him.

"That' just your opinion." Dante replied before thrusting Rebellion up to force Vergil off of him, but Vergil grabbed Dante's wrist and threw him to the castle wall, which he crashed through. The Devil Trigger Vergil approached the Devil Trigger Dante who had just gotten up.

"If I had to guess, this would be the first time you used this form in combat." Vergil began as Dante glared. "I have more experience in this form than you do. Even with your Devil Trigger's enhanced abilities, I will always be your better Dante, and deep down, you know it."

Vergil then felt something wrap around his right wrist. He turned around to see his wrist being restrained by Lucy via her whip.

"Have I mentioned how much I hate that cocky attitude of yours?" The Celestial Wizard questioned.

"Lucy?!" Dante exclaimed.

"Foolish girl, do you think this little toy can hold me?" Vergil questioned.

"It's called a distraction, asshole!" Lucy stated.

"Regulas Impact!" Vergil was then hit by a golden lion energy beam from Loki that sent him skidding on his feet back a couple feet.

"Nice shot Loke!" Lucy congratulated.

"All in a days work." Loke replied, adjusting his glasses.

"That is only a taste of what you are about to receive Vergil." The Blue Demon turned around to a certain armored wizard pointing her sword at him.

"Titania." Vergil acknowledged.

Do not speak my name!" Erza stated. "It disgusts me to hear it said with your tongue, you despicable coward!"

"Erza?" Dante questioned as he managed to get up and look outside.

"We're not in the habit of putting up with cocky bullies like you, freak." Vergil turned to a small hill nearby where Grey stood with Juvia on his right and Trish on his left.

"As we said before, Dante is a member of our guild!" Mira declared as she stood far on Vergil's left, in her Satan Soul form, along side her brother Elfman in his Beast Soul form.

"And when you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us!" Levy added as she stood alongside Gajeel and Cana.

"You thought Fairy Tail a joke, big mistake." Freed said as he stood with Bigslow and Evergreen.

"And somebody is in for the beating of a lifetime." Bigslow said.

"Yeah! The beating of a lifetime!" Bigslow's dolls added.

Vergil found himself surrounded by all the Fairy Tail wizards. Dante was surprised to see them here. Even after witnessing Vergil's powers first hand, and while he's still in his Devil Trigger form, they are still willing to stand up to him. Dante has never seen anything quite like this before. "Fairy Tail…" Dante (still in his Devil Trigger form) thought. "…This is some guild."

"Still defiant." Vergil observed. "You are all stubborn, I will give you that much. But what do you hope to achieve? You cannot defeat me, so why even try?"

"We're doing this for Dante!" Lucy exclaimed, surprising the aforementioned half-demon.

"You put him through so much pain and suffering." Erza began. "We will not stand idly by and watch as you attempt to kill your own flesh and blood."

"Me… They're doing this for me?"

"Then I welcome you to attack, and your inevitable failure." Vergil said as he readied his black Yamato.

"Enough!" Erza exclaimed as she requipped into her Heaven's Wheel Armor. "Circle Swords!"

"Ice Make: Cannon!" Grey created a massive Ice-Cannon and shot a gigantic Ice-ball straight at Vergil.

"Water Nebula!" Juvia blasted a massive torrent of water towards Vergil as well.

"Iron Dragon Roar!" Gajeel unleashed his signature breath attack.

"Solid Script: Fire!" The word 'Fire' was formed in blue flames before soaring towards Vergil.

"Card Magic: Explosive Flame!" Cana sent a series of flaming cards straight at the evil half-demon.

"Demon Blast!" Mira shot a beam of dark purple energy directly towards Vergil.

"Dark Ecriture: Destruction!" Freed sent a dark energy wave from his sword towards the enemy.

"Victory Formation Babies! Let him have it!" Bigslow's dolls shot multiple green energy beams at the blue demon.

"Fairy Machine Gun: Leprechaun!" Evergreen unleashed a multitude of gold energy projectiles that shot like a gatling gun.

"Manly Attack!" Elfman shouted as he threw a massive rock at Vergil; as he did Trish blasted a large streak of blue lightning at Vergil as well.

"Let him have it Loke!" Lucy exclaimed.

"With pleasure!" Loke replied as he blasted a large gold beam from his rings.

The attacks came from all around Vergil and we're bearing down on him; while he had yet made an attempt to move and just allowed them to get closer. "Fools." Vergil's black Yamato glowed a dark blue as quickly he plunged it into the ground and a blue and black explosion erupted, disrupting all the attacks and blowing all the Fairy Tail wizards back with quite a lot of force to say the least.

When the dust settled, all the wizards laid on the ground, barely conscious. Trish was among the few to barley stand. She was grabbed by the hair by the Devil Trigger Vergil and then tossed at Lucy. Both blondes rolled a bit before stopping. They looked up in fear as the demon stood above them.

"Pathetic. This was the inevitable outcome of your ignorance." He was about to bring his blade down and both girls closed their eyes, only to hear a clang sound. They slowly opened them to see something that made their eyes go wide.

"Dante!" They both exclaimed. Everyone saw the Devil Trigger Dante block his brother's attack with his own sword.

"Listen up bro, because I'm only gonna say this once." Dante began. "This is between YOU and ME!" Dante forced Vergil off of him and pointed the tip of his sword at him. "LEAVE THEM OUT OF THIS!" Dante blasted a large crimson red beam from his sword, which hit Vergil and sent him flying deep into the castle, breaking through many walls in the process.

The wizards slowly stood up as they looked in awe at Dante's attack. He turned to Lucy and Trish as they stood up. "You babes okay?"

"We're fine." Trish replied. "You?"

"I'm not, not until I settle this."

"Then let's go…" Grey began but Dante raised his right claw.

"No. This is something I have to do."

"No way!" Cana exclaimed. "We're coming with you!"

"You don't have to do this alone, you know." Levy stated.

"We can handle that freak." Gajeel added.

"I said NO!" Dante angrily exclaimed, silencing everyone present, but he calmed down soon after. "Guys, look, I appreciate what you're doing, but he's my brother and he's my responsibility. I have to do this, and no offense, but you guys can't fight him when he's like that."

"But you never beat him one-on-one before." Lucy stated.

"First time for everything." Dante replied. "I am going to stop him, but I can't do it if I have to worry about you guys. So just let me handle this."

All of them, especially Erza, could see the determination in his yellow demonic eyes. Erza then gave a warm smile. "Then we'll have to put our faith in you." The wizards we're somewhat surprised, save for Trish and Dante. "If you believe you can handle him, then we will respect your wishes and allow you to handle this."

The Devil Trigger Dante gave a smile. "Thanks guys." He spread his wings.

"Hey Dante!" Trish called and he turned to her. "Don't go dying on us, okay?"

He gave her a wink before flying into the castle.

Back in the chamber, Wendy continued to use her magic to heal the injured Natsu; Lady, Happy, and Carla we're kneeling beside him. The bleeding had stopped and the large cut was sealed, but it was still visible. Natsu's eyes stirred.

"Hey, I think he's waking up." Happy observed as they looked to see Natsu's eyes slowly open.

He gave his signature grin. "Hey guys, what did I miss?"

Lady and Carla gave amused smiles as Happy immediately clung onto him. Wendy's smile was one of relief as he tried to sit up, but he groaned and held his injured chest, Wendy's look became one of worry.

"Natsu, hold on. You're not fully healed yet." Wendy stated.

His mind then clicked and he remembered what Vergil just did to him. His face became filled with anger. "Where is he?! Where's that prick Vergil!? As a matter of fact, where the heck is everyone else?!

"Whoa, take it easy flame-for-brain." Lady advised.

"Natsu, Dante showed up." Happy began, getting his attention. "He turned into a scary demon to, he and Vergil went to fight outside and everyone else followed them."

"I suspect those two must be locked into fierce combat at this moment." Carla added.

"WHAT?!" Natsu yelled in comedic anger. "They went to fight and left me here?!"

Lady gave Natsu a smack in the head. "You idiot! You we're almost killed. Wendy here, just saved your ass!"

Natsu then turned to Wendy who looked down in partial shame. He took a breath before speaking. "I'm sorry, thanks Wendy, I owe ya."

"I'm sorry." She said. "It was my fault."

"What are you talking about?" Natsu asked.

"I tried to fight him but… you protected me and… got hurt." Wendy looked like she was about to cry again but Natsu put a hand on her shoulder.

"I wasn't gonna let Vergil hurt you Wendy." Natsu told her. "It's no one's fault, and besides we're all alive, that's a victory in my book." He said with a smile, which seemed to cheer Wendy up, but something was still on her mind.

"Natsu… before you fell down, you called me, your sister…"

"Well, yeah. You're like the little sister I never had." Natsu said, surprising Wendy a bit. "And it's not just we're Dragon Slayers; the Fairy Tail guild is my family, and you're a part of that family to." He finished with a grin.

Small tears of joy fell from Wendy's eyes as she clung to Natsu and gave him a hug. "And you're like the big brother I never had." She happily said as Natsu patted her head.

Happy, Carla, and even Lady could only smile at that. "You know, for an impulsive meat-head, you've got a big heart." Lady noted, getting Natsu's attention. "You and Dante really have a lot in common."

Happy then slowly approached Carla. "Isn't this sweet Carla?" He asked.

"If you are attempting to make a move on me, I will claw your eyes out." She said, causing Happy to zip his mouth shut.

The touching moment was ended when the entire castle began to shake and pebbles fell from the ceiling. A whole broke in the ceiling and at the far end of the chamber, Vergil, still in his Devil Trigger form, fell and landed on the ground. Dante, still in his own Devil Trigger form as well flew straight for Vergil. The eldest brother gave a swing from his sword, which caught Dante and flung him against the wall at the furthest end of the chamber. Vergil flew straight towards him and the two locked blades while Dante was still pinned against the wall.

"Dante!" Lady, Wendy, and Happy exclaimed.

"That's Dante!?" Natsu questioned.

"Yes, that is his Devil Trigger, when his demonic blood is awakened, he transforms into that, much like his elder brother." Carla exclaimed.

Vergil and Dante continued to lock blades as they struggled, though it seemed Vergil had the advantage, and it appeared that neither of them noticed the others in the chamber as of yet.

"I gotta help, I…" Natsu tried to get up, but his chest-wound ached as he fell to his knees and held his chest.

"Natsu!" Happy exclaimed as they all helped him.

"You haven't recovered yet, you can't fight now!" Wendy stated.

"Dante needs me to back him up." Natsu persisted. "I gotta do something!"

"Well what can you do like this?" Lady questioned.

"I'm gonna need a lot of fire." Natsu replied. He took a few whiffs of the air and turned to the very center of the chamber where the large, green Demonic Fire was still blazing. A smile formed on Natsu's face.

"I don't think that's a good idea, Natsu." Happy advised.

"Happy may be right." Wendy agreed. "That fire doesn't smell right."

"That's because it's fire from the Demon World." Lady said, getting their attention.

"Demon fire?" Carla asked for clarification.

"Yep." Lady confirmed.

"Works for me." Natsu said. "Fire is fire, after all."

"Natsu, you have no idea what that could do to you." Lady stated.

"You're already badly injured, don't make it any worse!" Wendy begged.

"I gotta help Dante! I owe Vergil major payback. Not just for beating me, but for hurting all my friends. Somebody needs to knock that bastard off his high horse! If Dante can't do it alone, then I'll give him a hand." Natsu declared.

They all looked and saw the determination in the Salamander's eyes. Lady was the first to give an amused smile. "Another thing you two have in common, you're both as stubborn as a rock. Alright."

She helped Natsu and draped his right arm over her shoulder; Wendy then scooted under Natsu's left arm and helped as well. They then began to help Natsu over to the green fire with Happy and Carla close behind him. When they got to it, Happy got a look of worry.

"Natsu… are you sure you want to do this?"

Natsu gave a mischievous grin as he stuck his head into the green fire.

"Yeah, I'd say he's sure." Lady observed as she and Wendy both sweat dropped.

Dante's struggle with Vergil continued as he pressed his younger brother deeper into the wall, widening the impression quite a lot.

"Why prolong the inevitable brother?" Vergil questioned. "Submit, and your death will be painless."

"Go the Hell!" Dante exclaimed.

"In due time."

As they continued to struggle, they both heard a gurgling sound, the distraction was just enough for Dante to force Vergil off of him, but they both looked to the center of the chamber where they saw the green Demonic Fire shrinking, and with the sound growing louder. The fire then took the shape of multiple streams, and Dante, even Vergil, looked in surprise to see the fire entering the mouth of a certain Dragon Slayer.

"Natsu?" Dante questioned.

"I don't believe this…" Vergil thought. "He's actually eating the fire from the Demon World."

All the fire entered into Natsu's mouth as he gulped it down. His eyes then began to glow green as he let loose a loud yell; which was enough to force Wendy, Lady, Happy, and Carla back. A green aura formed around Natsu as he yelled. The aura ceased and he slamed into the ground, creating a tremor that sped to the Devil Brothers, forcing them to split apart even further.

Natsu then coughed up some green liquid and fell to his knees as he held his throat as he was in internal pain.

"Oh no, Natsu!" Wendy and Happy yelled.

"That's what I was worried about!" Lady exclaimed.

"Natsu! You Moron! That's Demon Fire! It'll poison you!" Dante yelled as Natsu continued to gargle in pain and hold his throat.

"His stupidity has no ends, did he really believe he can eat fire from the Demon World and regain his power? This will be the end of him." Vergil thought.

Natsu's yells in pain became one of furry as his eyes turned orange and the green fire around him turned orange as well. It grew to twice his size and took the shape of a dragon. His body became covered with scales and the fire raged around him, he gave Vergil a glare that made a wild wolf look tame.

Lady, Wendy, Happy, and Carla could only look in amazement, while Dante's demonic face bore one of great surprise, Vergil's was that of complete shock and disbelieve.

"No…" Vergil breathed. "By consuming the fire… of the Demon World… he's entered the final stage of his Dragon Slayer Magic…. Dragon Force!"

Natsu then soared straight for Vergil and gave a strong punch across the jaw and sent him flying through the wall and multiple walls after that. Natsu then gave a roar as he launched fire from his feet, propelling him like a rocket, after Vergil.

Dante could only look with wide eyes. "Wow… that's just… wow."

"So that's Dragon Force?" Wendy questioned, to which Carla and Happy both silently nodded.

"Yeah… he just decked Vergil." Lady observed. "Guess that fire did help."

Dante then turned to them. "You guys doing okay?"

"Yeah, we're doing just fine." Lady assured.

Carla however, she wasn't doing so fine as she has been meaning to say something. "Dante… about what I said before… when Wendy was kidnapped… I… said some things… I was out of line and…"

Dante raised a claw. "Forget it, don't worry about it." He turned back to the hole. "You guys might wanna get outta here. With him, my bro, and me like, well, this; this castle's not gonna last long."

"Good point." Lady agreed.

"The others are outside to, make sure they get to safe distance, just in case." Dante advised.

"Aye sir!" Happy said as he picked up Lady while Wendy was picked up by Carla and both cats sprouted wings.

"Hey, Dante…" Wendy began, getting his attention. "Kick his butt."

"That's the plan kid."

Vergil skidded to a halt in a room, only to see the Dragon Force Natsu, surrounded by a flaming aura soar right through him. Before Vergil could react, Natsu gave a powerful kick across the chest, sending him flying to the side and through the next wall. Natsu came in again, but Vergil tried to sweep the blade towards him, but Natsu blocked it with his firey fist, much to Vergil's shock. Natsu's face was right up to Vergil's.

"Fire Dragon: Roar!"

The breath attack completely engulfed Vergil and blasted him through at least five more rooms before coming to a halt in what appeared to be a large dining room. Natsu blasted in just as Vergil recovered and laid a series of fierce punches, which had quite the affect on Vergil in his Devil Trigger form. He was so caught up in surprise that he couldn't react in time for all the attacks to hit him.

"You tried to kill Dante!" Natsu yelled as he jumped high and sent a massive fireball at Vergil, blowing him away, and the entire room to pieces. "You kidnapped my friends!" Vergil recovered in the next room, only to have Natsu give a strong flaming kick to the jaw, sending him straight upwards into two more rooms. Natsu was already waiting for him, pouncing from the roof. "You made Wendy cry!"

Natsu grabbed Vergil by his throat in his right hand, and his left arm with his left hand, before lighting fire from his feet and propelling both down through multiple floors. "I won't let you get away with any of that!" Natsu yelled as he continued to smash Vergil through the castle. "Fairy Tail's my family! HURT MY FAMILY AND I'LL KILL YOU!"

"I don't care for idle threats, boy!" Vergil stated as he thrusted Yamato forward, forcing Natsu back.

The two fell through the last floor and into a massive, five stories, cave, which held a series of large pillars that we're the foundation for the entire castle. Vergil gave sent a strong and powerful energy wave with a slice of Yamato, which hit Natsu and sent him to the ground. Vergil landed gracefully, only to see Natsu explode in a series of flame and charge right at him, but Vergil thrusted Yamato forward and sent a series of dark blue energy slices towards Natsu, who braced himself for the impact.

However, a red energy wave came down below and hit Vergil, causing an explosion that sent him through one of the large pillars. Natsu looked to see Dante land next to him.

"Need a hand?" Dante offered.

The Dragon Force Natsu looked to Dante before taking it. "It looks like we're gonna kick his ass together, huh?"

"I was about to say that."

Vergil emerged from the dust of the pillar and glared at the two that stood before him. "The two of you make no difference, this castle shall be the burial ground for both of you!" A dark blue aura raged around Vergil as he readied himself.

Dante's body was surrounding by a raging, dark red aura; while Natsu's body was surrounded by a raging, orange, firey aura.

"You ready Natsu?" Dante asked.

"Hell yeah! I'M ALL FIRED UP NOW!" Natsu exclaimed.

Vergil flew straight forward; while Dante and Natsu flew straight at him as well. Both parties clashed, resulting in a large explosion.

Outside

It was now dawn and the sun had now begun to rise, bringing in the light. Carla flew Wendy, while Happy flew Lady, and they all just made it outside. "Where is everyone?" Happy wondered.

"Guys! Down here!"

They all looked down. "There they are!" Wendy pointed down below to Erza, Trish, Grey, Gajeel, Lucy, Loke, Juvia, Mira, Elfman, Freed, Cana, Levy, Evergreen, and Bigslow. The cats took their passengers and met up with the others.

"Are you guys alright?" Lucy asked.

"Don't worry, we're fine." Wendy assured.

"Where's Natsu?" Erza asked.

"He's inside with Dante and their fighting Vergil." Happy answered.

"What?!" Grey questioned. "Is he trying to get killed?!"

"It's not like that!" Wendy defended.

"She's right, Natsu ate some fire from the Demon World and has entered Dragon Force." Lady added.

That earned looks of surprise from everyone present, especially Gajeel and Erza. "Dragon Force?" The Iron Dragon Slayer questioned.

"Are you certain?" Erza also asked.

"He grew scales over his body and was surrounded by a raging aura of dragon fire, and his attacks have all increased significantly" Carla replied. "If that isn't any indication, I don't know what is."

They all looked to the castle, which now began to crumble away and fall apart. "Yep, looks like Natsu's handy-work." Lucy observed.

"Collateral damage is Natsu's talent." Mira added.

"That's what makes him a man!" Elfman stated.

"You think they're going to be okay?" Levy asked.

"I'm quite certain they can handle this; Natsu and Dante's combined powers should be sufficient enough to defeat Vergil." Juvia said.

"She's right. Since there's nothing we can do, we just gotta hope their gonna make it out of this." Trish stated, though in her hear, there was still a bit of worry for Dante.

Back in the cave; most of the pillars we're now destroyed with streaks of fire, red and blue demonic energy; and now the ceiling was starting to come down in the form of giant boulders, but this wasn't of notice to the combatants.

Vergil soared at high speeds, and plunged Yamato into the ground, creating a small explosion, which separated Natsu and Dante. Vergil flew straight to Dante on the left and gave a powerful swing from Yamato, sending him flying to the wall. Vergil then turned and flew to Natsu who had just recovered. He grabbed the Dragon Force Dragon Slayer and threw him far to the other wall on the far side.

"Come on!" Natsu taunted as he got up. "That all you got?!" Vergil tried to slice at Natsu but he jumped up high and flipped, planting his feet on a falling boulder. He blasted fire from his feet, soaring back down to Vergil. "Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu's attack connected to Vergil's face and sent him skidding on the ground. "Fire Dragon Brilliant Flame!" Natsu threw a large fireball, which hit Vergil dead on, creating a large explosion, and a crater.

Vergil soared trough the dust and grabbed Natsu's head and tossed him to the wall. He then grabbed Natsu's right foot and slammed him on the ground. He readied Yamato to stab Natsu, but Dante came in with a sweep of Rebellion that sent Vergil flying through another pillar.

Dante soared straight for Vergil, and begun to swing Rebellion relentlessly. Vergil was put on the defensive end as all he could do was block the sword attacks. They hovered in the air until Dante blocked a sword block from Vergil and gave a kick to his right knee. Using this, Dante sent a powerful red energy wave, blasting Vergil back. However, multiple dark blue energy strikes came from the dust and hit Dante like a series of bullets, sending him to the ceiling.

As Vergil continued, a fire-whip wrapped around his arms, and he turned to see Natsu pull on the fire whip, sending Vergil through another pillar. Natsu came forward and gave a strong roundhouse. "Fire Dragon Talon!" The hit sent Vergil flying through the air.

The Devil Trigger Dante and the Dragon Force Natsu both looked at each other and nodded. Dante flew straight up with his wings, while a flaming aura around Natsu sprouted fire-dragon wings and he flew up with Dante. Vergil looked to see Natsu and Dante's fists connect with his jaw, sending him straight for a massive falling boulder (due to them taking out most, if not all, the pillars of the castle's foundation). The boulder hit Vergil and he fell to the ground as it landed on top of him. Natsu and Dante both landed and watched as the boulder was sliced in half, and Vergil fell to his right knee in exhaustion, using Yamato to support him.

"Am I… being… defeated?" Vergil questioned.

"What's wrong? That all you got?" Dante taunted.

"Come on, you can do better than that." Natsu also taunted.

Vergil growled as he stood up and glared at both his opponents. "I will not loose! I am the Son of Sparda! His successor! I will gain the power I deserve! Sparda may have been a legend! BUT I SHALL BECOME STRONGER!" The aura around Vergil raged even stronger.

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" Natsu exclaimed as he tore off his shirt, earning a glare from Vergil. "You're not stronger than Sparda! You couldn't even beat Dante and me! You may be the guy's oldest son, but you're no better than us! Get a clue, blood ties don't matter!"

"You ignorant little…" Vergil. "A weak human like you can never understand my desire for power!"

"You may be a half-demon, but if you think that makes you better than everyone else… YOU'RE DEAD WRONG!" Natsu yelled.

Everyone outside looked in surprise as the castle completely crumbled and fell apart; but a large explosion erupted from the top of the rubble; a streak of orange fire, one of red energy, and one of blue energy, all emerged and began to collide with each other.

Natsu and Dante both each laid a series of areal hits on Vergil; each one was powerful enough to create a shockwave. He was hit by Dante, then back to Natsu, then back to Dante, then back to Natsu, an then finally, a sword slash from Dante sent him flying down to the rubble.

Vergil strenuously got up to see Dante and Natsu both land twenty feet in front of him.

"It's over Vergil! Give it up!" Dante demanded.

"Never." Vergil grunted as he held his sword up high and dark blue energy soared straight up, creating a massive beam, which took the shape of a sword. Everyone down below could see this and looked in fear as an attack that strong could level everything in sight.

"Let's end this Dante." Natsu stated.

"Agreed." Dante added as they both gripped Rebellion. As they did, they began to pour their energies into the blade. As they did, their powers began to mix together and crimson red flames began to circle around the Devil Trigger Dante, and the Dragon Force Natsu. As the flames circled; Vergil's eyes widened as he saw them, and for a brief moment, just above Natsu, Igneel had appeared, and even Sparda appeared behind Dante.

"Their powers… their combining…" Trish observed.

"It couldn't be…" Freed breathed.

"It's a Unison Raid!" Erza exclaimed.

Dante and Natsu both pointed the Crimson Red Flaming Rebellion at Vergil and they both shouted… "DEVIL DRAGON: CRIMSON INFERNO!" A massive, crimson fire was blasted out of the sword; the fire took the form of a dragon and hit Vergil dead on. He was flung into the air with the red fire, and was completely engulfed in its flames. He yelled in pain, and in even more as the fire burnt away his Devil Trigger form, leaving his human form, he yelled in even more pain as the flames finally stopped and he was sent high into the air.

Everyone down below saw this; their eyes and pupils shook, as they honestly couldn't believe what just happened.

The sword was smoking, along with Dante and Natsu as their eyes held deep glares and determination. They saw the unconscious, human-appearance, Vergil land and flop on the ground. His clothes we're completely torn as his body smoked. His eyes we're white and without pupils, signaling his defeat.

"They did it…" Trish breathed. "They beat Vergil."

Dante and Natsu both let loose ear-splitting roars into the air that could be heard from miles around.

Just so you know, this will follow along the main Fairy Tail story line (with some minor alterations) with Devil May Cry characters, a few OCs, and even a few original arcs.
