Hello everyone, I am sorry you haven't seen an update recently. School has started back up for me, in addition I also have a part-time job, and I am part of my school's cross country team, so I will have a bit of a busy schedule, and updates may appear less frequently. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I have every intention of continuing this story, so let us begin.

Royal Castle
Natsu and Wendy we're both thrown into a cell, with Dante and Modeus both as well being shoved into a cell next to them. All their weapons we're gone and placed into a bared-up compartment away from them. Natsu angrily gripped the bars of his cell, with Dante doing the same in his cell; both of them glaring at Nelo Angelo, Hughes, and the few Edolas soldiers present.
"Where are the others?!" Natsu demanded.
"Others?" Hughes questioned.
"Yeah, what have you done with our friends Lucy, Lisanna, Carla, and Happy?!" Wendy demanded as well.
"Who?" Hughes wondered.
"They are referring to those two young women who we're with them." Nelo Angelo stated.
"Yeah, now where the hell are they?!" Dante demanded.
"Oh, them." Hughes realized. "Pretty little things, unfortunately we have no use for them. So they're going to be executed."
"What?" Modeus breathed.
Dante gritted his teeth in anger as Natsu mirrored the action yourself. "You bastards lay so much as a finger on either Lisanna or Lucy and I'll send you straight to hell!" Natsu angrily exclaimed.
"Temper, temper; little Dragon Slayer." Nelo Angelo teased. "Don't start a fight you cannot finish."
"Why don't you let us out of these cells and I'll give you pricks a fight you wont soon forget!" Dante challenged.
"Oh, aren't you a scary one." Hughes joked towards the angry Dante. "So, you're the one Angelo here suggested we watch out for. You don't look so tough."
Hughes' cocky smile was wiped off when Dante reached out from the bars and grabbed Hughes by the shirt and pulled him into the bars of the cell, slamming him into them face-first repeatedly, that is until the guards came in and shoved their spears at Dante forcing him to let go of Hughes and back into the cage, where he was stabilized by Modeus.
Nelo Angelo gave an amused chuckle as Hughes felt his face, which had a red line going down vertically with a nosebleed. "You piece of…" Hughes growled.
"Enough." Nelo Angelo simply said. "I would not provoke him anymore Hughes, unless you want him to rip your head clean off."
"What are all of you up to?" Modeus questioned. "What do you intend to do?"
"You'll learn soon enough." Nelo Angelo responded with an evil smile.
"You're going to execute Lucy and Lisanna?" Wendy frightenedly questioned. "What'll happen to Carla and Happy?"
Hughes whipped his bloodied face before answering. "No need to worry about the Exceeds."
"His name is Happy! Get it straight!" Natsu demanded.
"Here are again with 'Exceeds'." Dante observed. "What the hell is an Exceed anyway?"
"Those two so-called 'cats' are home now. They've completed their mission and are likely indulging themselves with whatever reward that is being given to them." Nelo Angelo responded.
"Mission?" Modeus questioned.
Wendy them remembered before the group left for Edolas of Carla saying that she was abandoning her mission by returning to Edolas.
"No way! That's impossible!" Wendy exclaimed. "I don't know what kind of mission you guys sent her on, but I know Carla abandoned it!"
Nelo Angelo chuckled. "Did they tell you that? And you believed them, how adorable."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Dante questioned.
"Do you think it was a coincidence that Knightwalker and I found you in those catacombs?" Nelo Angelo recalled.
"Yeah, they actually completed it like a pro." Hughes added. This caught the attention of the two Dragon Slayers and two Demon Swordsmen.
"What are you suggesting?" Modeus asked.
"What you making them do for you?" Wendy questioned as well.
Hughes and Nelo Angelo both shared evil smiles. "You mean, you still haven't figured it out yet?"
"Allow us to then explain it to you."
Town Plaza
The giant lacrima extracted by the Anima program from Earthland stood where it did the day before, still guarded by several Edolas soldiers in the midst of the busy plaza of citizens. One guard glanced and caught sight of the Edolas Gajeel leaning back against a pillar and writing down in a note-pad.
Several soldiers surrounded him. "What are you doing?"
Edolas Gajeel plastered up a smile. "Thanks for all your hard work."
"Who are you?" One guard demanded.
"Oh I'm just your average journalist." Edolas Gajeel replied. "I'm covering the ceremony and I'd like to ask you a few questions, that is if you wouldn't mind."
"I got no comment, now beat it!" The guard replied.
"I see the king has troops stationed at the northern end of the plaza, therefore it's safe to assume there are troops stationed on the southern side as well?" Edolas Gajeel wondered.
Many soldiers pointed their spears at him. "Get out of here!"
Edolas Gajeel tipped his hat and began to walk away. "Sorry gentleman, I didn't mean to disturb you." He walked away with a sly grin as he got what he wanted.
Meanwhile, on top of a small building where the hooded Gajeel and Trish, both observing the giant lacrima.
"So what do you think?" Trish asked Gajeel.
"Too many people for us to just rush in there." Gajeel stated.
"Yeah, I see you're point; they'll end up getting hurt in the soldiers' attack." Trish agreed. "So what do we do?"
Gajeel noticed something down below. "Look down there."
Trish looked in the direction he was referring to and they both spotted the Edolas Gajeel on the ground, glancing up towards them.
Happy and Carla both lay asleep on a large bed in a big, full-furnished bedroom. Happy was the first one to wake up and looked around in confusion.
"What the…?" He wondered. "Where are we?" He nudged the white cat next to him a bit. "Hey Carla, wake up."
Carla slowly woke up soon after. "Tomcat, what is this?" They both looked around the room they we're in. "What in the world happened to us?"
"All I know is that we we're knocked out and we woke up here." Happy replied. "This place, I know I've never been here before." Carla soon looked down a bit. "Are you okay?" Happy wondered.
She them recalled the events that led everyone to where they are now; leading everyone into the mine, and being ambushed and captured by Erza Knightwalker and Nelo Angelo.
"It seems my 'information' was actually a trap." Carla muttered. "Dante was right not to trust me."
"That's not true. I'm sure it was a coincidence they found us. It wasn't your fault Carla!" Happy insisted.
The white cat wasn't convinced. "I betrayed dear Wendy. I swore I would protect her no matter what!" She began to choke up. "This is all my fault!"
There was a click at the door on the other side of the room. They both looked to who opened the door.
"Le-meow. Le-meow. Forgive my intrusion, but are you the ones who recently completed an Earthland mission? Le-meow."
This was a golden cat dressed in some kind of soldier-like garb with sparkles all around him, his face resembled too much like a certain wizard from Blue Pegasus that Happy recognized.
"ICHIYA!?" Happy questioned with white circular eyes.
"Meow. Nice parfume."
"Wait a sec, you're a cat?!" Happy questioned.
"Don't be silly. I'm no mere cat, I'm an exceed just like you."
Another one walked in right behind him. A black cat with a really long neck, wearing fancy garb himself. His most odd feature was his right arm was constantly waving.
"Sir Nichiya sir." The second cat began. "I've been told this is the first time they've ever been to Edolas. I doubt they've never seen an Exceed before."
"Really? Well I had no idea. Welcome, I am Nichiya, the captain of Extalia's Royal Guard. Meow, meow."
"And my name is Nabi, otherwise known as Extalia's minister of state. Congrats on your mission!"
"Our mission?" Happy wondered, though Carla looked down, as she knew what they we're talking about. "It'll be okay Carla." Happy assured, but she still wasn't convinced.
"I know this is rather sudden, but the queen would like to see you. Follow me." Nichiya instructed.
"The queen?! Seriously!?" Happy exclaimed.
Happy then looked towards Carla. "Don't worry, just leave everything to me. The first thing we need to do is get the lay of the land, I promise I'm gonna protect you Carla."
Some time later; Nichiya and Nabi both led Happy and Carla down the hall and past two large, man-sized Exceed soldiers towards a door.
"Excellent work men." Nichiya told the soldiers.
"Meow sir!" They both replied at the same time.
"There are cats everywhere." Happy thought.
"I bet you're excited, aren't you?" Nabi stated in a somewhat excited-tone.
"I might be if I knew what in the heck was going on." Happy replied.
The four Exceeds passed through a gate and got outside. Nothing could prepare Happy or Carla for what they saw next.
It appeared to be a bustling town, comprised completely of humanoid cats, now identified as Exceeds. Happy's jaw hung open as he saw all this; Exceeds went about the same kind of lives as normal people; shopping, playing, working, reading, chit-chatting, story-telling, going to school, you name it.
"It's a land of cats." Happy observed, with Carla still looking quite depressed.
A few Exceeds caught notice of Nichiya and Nabi walking by and we're happily greeted. But they Exceeds really got excited when they saw Happy and Carla.
"Hey, check it out, is that them?"
"Yeah, it's the ones who completed their Earthland mission."
"You guys rock, you're heroes!"
"The chick's pretty hot, I wonder if she's with that guy."
"Everybody's a cat here." Happy observed.
"I'm afraid that you're wrong my friend, everyone's an Exceed here." Nabi corrected. "We stand above the humans, it's our duty to guide them each and every day."
Happy looked quite confused.
"And that beautiful sight before you is the Exceed kingdom Extalia!" Nabi referred to the large castle-like structure they we're currently walking to.
Edolas Royal Kingdom Plaza
Countless citizens all gathered together before the giant lacrima. The sounds of drums was heard as a few soldiers led what appeared to be sages dressed in fancy white and green robes towards the lacrima.
"Look, here they come!"
"It's almost time!"
In the midst of the crowd, Edolas Gajeel walked right behind a soldier. "I see things are finally getting underway." The soldier nodded in response.
"The kingdom will be much more stable after this."
"We're on the southern side of the plaza." Edolas Gajeel began. "Let me ask, is security as tight as it is on the eastern and western sides as it is here?"
"No, but only because there's not enough room for anybody to hide there." The soldier answered, as there we're fewer guards in that location.
"Oh really, is that so?" Edolas Gajeel wondered.
The guard's eyes widened as he realized what he just said. "Please don't write that in the article, it'll get me in trouble!"
Edolas Gajeel gave an assuring smile. "I'd never do such a thing. I assure you I am completely aware of what is appropriate to write and what isn't. I strive to be a fair journalist."
The drumming soldiers continued to lead the sages closer to the lacrima. As they did, Edolas Gajeel moved more and more amongst the crowd closer to the lacrima as well.
"There are troops stationed at the north and south sides. However, just north of the south side is undermanned." He looked to his note pad where he drew a diagram of the area. "According to my sources, the ceremony will be held south of the lacrima."
Edolas Gajeel looked up slightly towards where Trish and Gajeel we're stationed and tipped his hat.
"Hey, your 'identical twin' is giving us a signal." Trish told Gajeel as they both looked towards the Edolas Gajeel.
He pointed in one direction and both the Iron Dragon Slayer and Lightning She-Demon looked towards the northern side of the lacrima where there we're fewer soldiers.
"Well, here goes nothing." Gajeel said as both he and Trish gave eager smiles.

Nichiya and Nabi continued to lead Happy and Carla, by now they we're in the castle. As they walked, something was continuing to bug Happy. He them recalled the last thing he heard from Nelo Angelo before being knocked out.
"And Master Mundus also thanks you for your contributions."
"Hey." Happy spoke up, getting the attention of the two lead Exceeds. "Do any of you guys know about someone named Mundus?"
Nichiya and Nabi both looked to each other, quite confused.
"Mundus?" Nichiya wondered. "Does that names seem familiar to you?"
"Nope, first time I've heard of it." Nabi responded before turning to Happy. "Sorry, never heard that name before; I'm sure it's nothing important."
Happy looked a bit confused before Carla looked up slightly and spoke directly to Happy so that Nabi and Nichiya would not hear. "Remember Tomcat, demons aren't native to Edolas. So the names 'Sparda' and 'Mundus' are foreign to them."
"Right." Happy remembered. "So why did Nelo Angelo say that? Something else is going on here."
"Getting back to the matter at hand." Nabi spoke up. "In our world, humans are a foolish inferior species. It is our duty as Exceeds to keep them under control."
"In case you didn't notice, they have a nasty parfume." Nichiya added. "By the way, parfume means smell."
"Our beloved queen watches over the humans and governs them from this castle." Nabi informed.
"She has an absolutely delightful parfume!" Nichiya added again.
"It would be dangerous if the humans' numbers we're to get out of hand." Nabi continued. "So the queen determines which humans are unnecessary and has them executed."
Happy had a look of shock on his face as soon as he heard that. "But why would she want to do that?"
"To help restore the magic power that's dwindling in our world. That's what the queen said." Nabi answered. "Not only does she govern the humans of this world, but she controls the humans of Earthland as well."
"She decides which people live or die?" Happy questioned.
"Yes our benevolent queen has that authority." Nichiya answered. "After all, she is a goddess, meow."
"A goddess?!" Happy questioned. "A part of me is glad Dante isn't here, I'm not sure how'd he take that."
Edolas Royal Plaza
The drumming Edolas soldiers led the sages, which carried a rather large device, straight towards the lacrima as the ceremony was beginning to get underway. As this was going on, the hooded Gajeel and Trish both slowly moved through the crowd of people, completely unnoticed by the soldiers present. Edolas Gajeel also moved through the crowd on the other side of the plaza as well. Something was about to happen.

Carla had to say something. "This mission your queen sent us on, I remember." This got everyone's attention. "It's coming back to me, it has been imprinted on me since I was born."
Nichiya and Nabi both looked to each other, as they we're a bit confused; Happy looked towards Carla, also a bit confused.
"The queen chose me, to help control the human population. I was ordered to eliminate, the Dragon Slayer Wendy."
Happy stood frozen, not believing the words that came out of Carla's mouth. "Huh!? What's that supposed to mean Carla?!"
"Please don't ask…" Carla tried.
"Tell me what you mean when you said you we're supposed to eliminate Wendy!" Happy demanded, then it all dawned on him. He froze up completely.
"No way…" Happy could not believe it. "Then does that mean…" Carla gave him a look that confirmed Happy's dreaded thought. "My mission was to…" He fell to the ground on his rear, holding his head by his front paws. "No… that can't be true."
"I'm sorry." Carla apologized. "I thought you we're better off not knowing the truth."
"I just can't… believe it… MY MISSION WAS TO ELIMINATE NATSU!?"
Edolas Dungeon
Natsu gripped the bars of his cell in a mix of anger and disbelief; Dante's look was also one of shock with much anger mixed in. Modeus had a look of complete and utter surprise on his face. Wendy's eyes quivered.
Nelo Angelo bore a sadistic smile. "Now you all know. Those little Exceeds we're never your friends. They used you, and delivered you right to us."
"That can't be right…" Natsu breathed.
"No way…" Wendy breathed as well; neither Dragon Slayer could comprehend it.
Dante looked like he was about to blow a fuse. He was right, he was right all along about Carla. But he never thought Happy would also be a part of this; he actually liked that cat, despite being a bit annoying he was honest, and quite funny. Was that all just a ruse? If Dante still had access to his demonic power right now, there would undoubtedly be dead bodies everywhere in his path, as he would go on a rampage.
"This cannot be." Modeus breathed, not believing this either.
"Oh but it is." Nelo Angelo replied.
Edolas Royal Plaza
Drums continued to play, as all the citizens began to cheer now that the ceremony was about to begin. The soldiers played the drums as the sages raised staffs that were attached by cords from the large device. They aimed their staffs towards the giant lacrima. The ends of the staffs began to glow. The lacrima also began to glow; the magic extraction was now beginning.
"We'd better hurry, it's starting." Trish told Gajeel.
"Yeah, no duh Blondie." Gajeel replied. "Where's the Edolas me when you need him.
Meanwhile, the Edolas Gajeel was on the other side of the lacrima, observing the ceremony that was now taking place.
Extalia
Happy was still in a state of disbelieve over his realization. He had been sent on a mission to eliminate his supposed best friend. "I'm supposed to eliminate Natsu."
"Would you just calm down tomcat?!" Carla exclaimed before turning to Nichiya and Nabi. "Let me make one thing clear: we never accomplished our missions, nor did we ever intend to do so! Why is everyone talking to us as if we have?!"
Nichiya and Nabi looked confused as they both looked towards each other. "Do you think its amnesia?" Nichiya asked Nabi.
"Perhaps." Nabi guessed. "You see, there are countless effects of overriding that are still widely unknown…"
"Answer me!" Carla demanded.
"Of course, please allow me to explain." Nabi began. "Six years ago, our beloved queen sent 100 Exceeds in the better hope of controlling the human population. After they hatched, the information they've been given would have them seek out to eliminate the Dragon Slayers. Then one day, the situation changed. You see, when the humans created Anima, we we're presented with a new and exciting possibility!"
Happy and Carla's pupils shrunk as they heard all of this.
"With its invention, we decided rather than simply killing Earthland humans, we can convert them into magic power." Nabi explained. "Its well known that the Dragon Slayers are the most powerful of the human wizards. Therefore instead of eliminating them, you we're ordered to bring them into custody."
Edolas Dungeon.
Nelo Angelo and Hughes had explained the same thing to Natsu, Dante, Wendy, and Modeus.
"So those Exceeds did exactly as they intended." Nelo Angelo finished explaining.
"That's total bullshit!" Dante exclaimed.
"Still though, we finally got our hands on them." Hughes said, looking to Natsu and Wendy, still in a state of disbelief.
"Dragon Slayer magic is the most powerful of all Earthland magic. Natsu Dragneel, son of Igneel; and Wendy Marvel, daughter of Grandeeney; your magnificent power is going to be the bedrock from which a new era shall be built!" Nelo Angelo stated.
"What about you two? You guys Dragon Slayers to?" Hughes questioned to Dante and Modeus.
"No we are not." Modeus replied, while Dante continued to growl in anger.
Before anyone could say anything else, Nelo Angelo spoke up. "Hughes, take the soldiers and leave us."
"What?" Hughes questioned in confusion. "Just why the hell would I…?"
Nelo Angelo cast a glance in his direction; the glowing yellow eyes were enough to have Hughes shake in his boots. "Leave, now."
Hughes gulped as he sweated and shook. "Alright. Let's go men."
"Yes sir!
Hughes led the soldiers out of the dungeon. Once the door closed, it was only Nelo Angelo with the four prisoners in the two cells. He turned to the two demon swordsmen.
"I'm assuming you've figured out something about me, haven't you?"
"You aren't human, you're a demon." Dante stated. "Mundus sent you here, didn't he?'
"Indeed he did." Nelo Angelo confirmed. "I do not serve that insignificant fool Faust, nor do I work for those insipid feelings the Exceeds, and their false god the queen."
Natsu took a few whiffs. "Just who the hell are you bub?! And why do you smell so much like Dante and…" Natsu stiffened. "You smell… almost like Vergil."
That caught Dante, Modeus, and Wendy by surprise as well.
"Vergil…?" Wendy shook with fear.
"Who are you?" Modeus questioned to the Black Angel.
Nelo Angelo smiled as he reached onto his head and pulled up the helmet, revealing his face to the group as they could all only look in shock. His skin was black and his eyes we're glowing red; but his hair was white. His face and hair, had the exact same pattern as Dante and Vergil.
"The reason I 'smell' like Dante is because I am Dante. I am also Vergil as well. And, in addition, I am also there father, Sparda."
"What?" Dante questioned.
"Dante… Vergil… and Sparda?" Wendy breathed. "How… I don't…"
"Mundus created me from the essence of the Dark Knight himself, as well, he added the demonic essence from his two sons. With all three in the mix, imbued with his own dark powers, I was born. I am Nelo Angelo, the Black Angel, and the herald of Mundus!"
"An artificial demon made by the Demon King himself." Modeus realized.
"That is quite correct." Dante then gave a slight chuckle. "What's so funny, son of Sparda?"
"You." Dante answered. "You're just a cheap knock off of me, my bro, and my old man. Kinda fitting, considering we're in a world full of cheap knock offs."
"Yes, this world of Edolas is indeed the mirror reflection of Earthland, so it is indeed fitting you find a doppelganger of yourself in this pitiful world as well."
"What does Mundus want with Edolas, and all of us?" Modeus questioned
"The Dragon Slayers' magic will help to break the seal around the Demon world that Sparda and the dragons have placed on 2,000 years ago. I will combine that with the Anima, in order to tear a hole into the realm of darkness."
"And since this world is already dwindling in terms of magic…" Dante realized.
"My dark lord and master will conquer this world without any form of resistance whatsoever." Nelo Angelo finished. "Hmph, those foolish Exceeds believe their queen is a goddess, but they will soon learn the hard way what a real god looks like."
"No freaking way!" Natsu angrily exclaimed with a vein popping on his neck. "We're not gonna help you or your boss!"
Nelo Angelo placed his helmet back on. "I don't recall giving you a choice."

Carla fell to her knees with Happy as both Exceeds shook and tears formed in their eyes. The very thing Carla was trying not to do had happened; she and Happy had both led their friends straight into the hands of the kingdom of Edolas, and unknown to them and everyone else, the demon king Mundus.
Royal Plaza
The ceremony was well underway as the lacrima began to glow, the magic extraction process would begin any moment now. The hooded Gajeel and Trish we're both stuck in the crowd.
"Gotta hurry." Trish whispered.
"But it's way too crowded, I can barely move!" Gajeel whispered back.
On the other side of the crowd, Edolas Gajeel reached into his pocket and pulled out a small metal rod. He slowly walked forward and held it up one citizen noticed the object.
"Hey, what the heck's that thing?" The excited citizen asked.
"This? Well fireworks for the magic power extraction." Edolas Gajeel answered. "Cool, huh? Well watch this!"
He shot a firework straight into the air with the rod; once it was high enough it burst into yellow sparks. This was made the citizens even more excited, but the guards didn't have the same feeling.
Trish was the first to see it. "Hey, Metalhead." She and Gajeel both looked into the air where the fireworks took the form of the letter N.
"Guess one letter's not enough." Edolas Gajeel stated as he pulled out several more rods. "Let's go all out!"
He shot up four more streams of fireworks which exploded into more letters: O, R, T, and, H: They together made up the word "North"
"I think that's for us." Trish whispered to Gajeel as they both saw this.
"The north." Gajeel realized.
"And the rest is up to you my friends." Edolas Gajeel uttered as he began to slip away into the crowd.
Gajeel began to speak up acting like a soldier. "Soldiers! That must be some kind of warning, we must protect the lacrima! I suspect there's something suspicious on the north side of the plaza!"
The soldiers seemed to buy it. "What?! We gotta do something! That's the rear-side of the plaza, we don't have many men positioned over there!"
Another soldier spoke out. "Keep your forces here and I'll go to help secure that location! Push the crowd back for their own safety!"
"Yes sir!" All the soldiers responded as they began to push them back.
"Nice work, they bought it." Trish uttered to Gajeel as they both smirked.
All the people we're being pushed back save for two certain, hooded individuals who remained with their backs turned to the guards.
"Civilians are clear, time to make our move." Gajeel stated.
"Finally, I was really starting to get bored with all this sneaking around." Trish agreed.
"Hey, didn't you two hear!?" One soldier spoke to the two. "I said move back!"
The Iron Dragon Slayer and Lightning She-Demon both threw away their robes, revealing themselves in their respective clothing. Gajeel took a combat stance, while Trish pulled out her duel pistols Luce and Ombra.
"That Mystogen may be one freaky weirdo, but we got no choice to trust him for right now!" Gajeel said.
"Lets kick some ass Gajeel." Trish stated as they both charged forward.
"Iron Dragon Club!" Gajeel's right arm stretched forward in the form of an iron pillar that blew away several guards.
Trish leaped into the air, with her hands surging with blue lighting, which she charged into her pistols and fired. The bullets hit the ground near the guards, creating a series of electrical explosions to blow them all back.
Edolas Gajeel saw the commotion from a safe distance and looked quite amused. "It's going precisely as planned."
Trish made a sweeping kick in the air that sent a wave of lighting forward, which blasted back several more guards, leaving an opening.
"Gajeel! NOW!" She yelled.
No time to think, Gajeel used the opening Trish gave him to jump straight at the lacrima. "Iron Dragon Sword! Ain't no stopping me!" With a heave he slammed his bladed-arm straight onto the lacrima crystal. No less than a second later, the entire crystal exploded in a massive surge of bright light; forcing everyone, Trish and Gajeel included, to shield their eyes.
"What the hell…?" Gajeel uttered.
"No way…" Trish uttered as well.
Extalia
The teary eyed Happy and Carla laid on the ground as Nabi and Nichiya continued to observe them; both the former Exceeds could not believe what had just now been revealed to them.
"Judging by your reactions, maybe overriding your orders remotely may not have been the best idea." Nabi guessed.
Nichiya still gave thumbs up. "However, everything still worked out. You we're still able to deliver us the Dragon Slayer despite your previous orders."
This did not cheer up Happy and Carla at all, in fact it only made things worse, regardless Nichiya still continued to explain.
"The humans have been tasked with magicalization, which is their conversion to magic power. After all, they're much more proficient with that sort of thing. Meow. Meow."
Carla was on her hands and knees as she continued to cry. "No it can't be! I came to Edolas! I came here… of my own free will!"
"I'm afraid not." Nabi contradicted. "You we're acting on the will of our fair queen."
"I led everyone… to the tunnel… to try and save them!" Carla cried.
"It may have appeared that way to you, but really we we're the ones who guided you there." Nabi revealed.
Dante's words of questioning Carla's trustworthiness ringed through her head. She had the feeling that he was right all along and that she couldn't be trusted. Dante was right.
"No it can't be…" Carla continued to cry. "All I wanted… all I wanted was to protect Wendy, she's all that matters to me!"
"What you experienced was actually a self-delusion." Nabi contradicted again. "When your orders changed from 'eliminate' to 'capture', you're duty became to protect the Dragon Slayers to ensure they we're not killed."
"That's not true!" Carla continued to cry more and more.
"Whether you like it or not, you're every move up till this point has been completely controlled by us." Nichiya stated as a matter-of-fact.
The teary eyed-happy also felt regret and sadness in his heart, however, those emotions we're quickly replaced with righteous anger as he stood up with clenched fists. All his memories of him and Natsu came to his mind: being found and hatched by him, all the times the two played and fought enemies and rescued friends, even a few memories of Dante came in as the youngest son of Sparda reminded Happy a lot of Natsu. Those memories to Happy we're not illusions.
"Let's get one thing straight, we're not your puppets!" Happy exclaimed, much to the surprise and shock of Nichiya and Nabi. The crying Carla slowly looked up towards the blue Exceed.
"You've got it all wrong! WE'RE FAIRY TAIL WIZARDS! WE DON'T WORK FOR YOU!"
Nichiya and Nabi could both only look in complete and utter disbelief; where as the teary-eyed Carla said only one thing.
"Oh Happy…"
Done.
I hope this chapter is to your liking.
I'm sorry for all these cliffhangers, but I am merely following the episodes. The Exceeds here think they are on top of everything, but what they, and even the King of Edolas, do not know, is that they themselves are really just pawns of Nelo Angelo, and by extension Mundus.
The Black Angel has revealed himself to be a hybrid clone of Dante, Vergil, and Sparda to the captured wizards and devil hunters, as well as his plan to use the Anima to break a hole into the demon world, and use the magic power Edolas intends to use, to break the barrier and have Mundus invade Edolas. But… the question remains: will he even get to that point?
Things are soon about to get real as the Battle of Edolas will begin soon.
Again, updates will be less frequent as I have school, work, and cross country; and other fanfiction stories that I also want to work on. I thank you all for your patience. See you soon.
