Author Note
Hi there and welcome to another chapter. I thank everyone who has reviewed my work thus far. I guess it`s time to answer some of your questions made thus far.
Toa Solaric – In UBW, Ilya was killed by Gilgamesh. In here, she will only appear briefly in this chapter.
Bubbahfearsome – He will appear in due time.
The-Killer40513 – Yes, it will continue. I am already making some research about where I want to take this story (which arc to follow the war).
Now here comes the chapter.
Fate Stay Night: Sword and Arrow
Part I – Fifth Holy Grail War
Chapter 7 – Feelings
Emiya Shirou considered many things when he hugged his servant.
The first of them was that he had felt the exhilarating rush of the fight and the almost inevitability of losing Saber for good. He had no doubt that Heracles would move for the kill and he would not be able to save her, except use a command seal to take her out of there. He had projected Caliburn, not due to a strategical planning on his part, but it was the weapon that he could provide to Saber that would be most efficient against such a monster. When her noble phantasm failed to take the rest of Heracle's lives, he immediately went to work knowing that projecting Caliburn would take some time using the reinforcement spells needed to fully use such a noble weapon. When he finished it, he saw Heracles moving in for the kill and Saber was simply too tired to defend herself.
He reinforced his legs and dashed at her location with everything he had, so as not to arrive too late.
His heart beat subsided once he made at striking distance to the big man, being able to slice his arms right off with the reinforced sword. After that, Heracles was exposed to a frontal attack as he and his servant took care of the rest.
He hugged her because…well…he really…. really needed to reassure himself that she had not gone…that she was right there by him. He may have hugged her with all the strength that he had, because he was simply moving on impulse. Not that Saber minded, because she just stood there prolonging the hug just like he did. When both realized that it a good while has passed since the act started, Shirou and Saber broke off the hug and looked at one another with a small blush on their faces. Despite it all, Shirou did smile at her.
"Sorry about that Saber…I'm just glad that you are here with me."
"It's okay Shirou…I'm also glad to be able to do this once more."
By this time, Saber's clothes and armor were fully reenacted once more, albeit there was a few bruises and cuts from the fight. Shirou took care of those right away in less than a minute. Saber's supply was still low, but at least they would not be victim of an ambush, at least not without her being able to at least put up a good fight. They had been there now for a good ten minutes ever since the fight had finished and now, they felt comfortable in leaving the premises. It would not do well for them to wait for Ilya to wake up and reinforce the bounded field. For the girl's state of mind, Shirou had no doubt that she would try to keep him here, which would then force them to kill her, which was not something he wanted to do.
So, the couple composed of master and servant left the vicinity and soon reached the road that they came from, not knowing that Ilya was then found by two women that looked quite similar and wore nurse-like wardrobe.
Despite Saber already receiving enough right now, she was still walking with his help, something that she thought would bother her knight pride way more than it was right now. That hug from before just blew her away as she could feel her master's emotions resonating towards her at that point. Just the mere proximity and having his arms holding her, made her feel…safe, protected. These words were alien to her, since usually it would be the other way around, with her doing the deed as a knight should. Even if this was a somewhat nice feeling, she just was not going to walk all the way to his house like this.
"I can walk from here, Shirou."
Shirou nodded and looked around for threats as Saber released her armor to spare some more. She could always spot threat and Shirou also had his own radar.
===Emiya's Household===
The walk towards his house was steady as both pondered about the next course of action, considering that one more servant was dealt with.
Now, only Lancer, Archer and Caster remained with Assassin still yet to show up. Well, considering that Rin and Archer went to face Caster, there was a possibility that another servant was dealt with, leaving only three behind. In less than an hour, they soon reached his neighborhood and Saber was already looking forward to a nice meal to fully replenish her reserves, when they saw Rin standing a couple blocks away from Emiya's house. Saber and Shirou stopped and looked around in search for Archer but found that he was nowhere nearby. Shirou even looked at Rin and saw that her clothes were ragged, and she had a couple of bruises on her arms and face.
"Tohsaka…what are you doing here and where is Archer?" Rin was shaken from her reverie when she heard the man she wanted to talk about approach her.
"Emiya…ah…I was going to wait close to your doorstep, but your bounded field keeps me from walking past here…nice job by the way."
"Rin, where is Archer?"
The girl in question looked angry at the servant's mention and sighed, before showing her wrist…or rather her wrist with no command seals on it.
"Did Caster kill him?"
"Emiya, I would be delighted to ask all of your questions, but first I would like to try your delicious dinner…Fuji-sensei's words not mine. Though she always wondered why every time she came here, she remembered that she had to do something else instead." Saber kept her serious visage, but inside she was finding it hard not to laugh at Rin's words. Shirou, on the other hand, scratched the back of his head, feeling slightly embarrassed of having completely forgotten about his sister figure. Of course, his bounded field was to blame from keeping her away, but it was for her own safety. So, he would have sufficient time to compensate after the war ended.
'Can she be trusted, Saber?'
'Her link with Archer is finalized, that much I can tell. But she would not dare do anything without him or at least another servant to help her. And I can't sense any nearby…not even assassin'.
'Okay, feel free to look as threatening as possible, just in case she is up to something…'
The servant was a very good actress and kept frowning at the other girl, even if on the inside, she was already losing her cool.
"Well, I guess we can go inside and talk about what happened." Shirou entered followed by Saber while Rin waited for him to allow her access. Eventually, or at least, ten minutes later, Rin was quietly drinking some very delicious and smoothing tea. Shirou was making all sorts of noises in the kitchen as she pondered if the rumors of his cooking were true or exaggerated. A boy being able to cook was already outside the norm, but according to their teacher, Shirou's cooking was better than some restaurants. She could use some nice cooking to quell her mood right now. Of course, the situation was already too troublesome without having the strongest servant in this war staring at her with her arms crossed as if Rin was about to be impaled at any second.
"Would you stop staring at me like that damn it…it's not like I do much against him with you here…" Her tsundere like personality earned a small chuckle from behind the kitchen. Saber had to at least look the part.
"This is Shirou's house, so as of right now, you're his guest. But do try something and you'll regret it deeply." Saber then took a zip of her own cup of tea and turned to smile contently, a complete shift in behavior, which earned an eye twitch from Rin. To believe she is just toying with me…
"Dinner should be ready in a couple of minutes…" Both women heard Shirou scream from behind the counter and Rin thought she saw Saber's eyes sparkle.
It just can't be that good…
Ten minutes later, Rin looked at the packed table and had to do a double take at everything. It was all very nicely done, and the smells were amazing. Rin just had enough to deal with and forgot her manners. She just took the initiative and served her own food, earning a slight scowl from Saber, but this time was of the girl stealing her food. Shirou had to sweat drop at that…well, this was the first time that she had to share his meal with someone else, so he figured why she was slightly offended. However, Shirou already knew that she would eat more than usual to replenish her mana and he even made some more for a third party. In the end, both women had a satisfied look on their faces. Shirou then served some late-night tea.
Rin was just taking it all in and was almost convinced that her own problems were not that bad…just from one of his meals.
"I take it back Emiya…you do know your way around the kitchen."
"Shirou is indeed the finest cook I have already met, if he were alive in my time, he would be my personal chef."
"You do flatter me Saber…it feels me with joy to receive such praise from nobility."
He even got up and bowed in respect, which caused the king of knights to laugh at him. Shirou tended to use his reverence to her in humor.
Rin found the scene quite strange for two people who had met in less than a week, being so at ease with each other.
"So, Tohsaka, now that you had a free dinner, mind explaining what happened against Caster." Rin pouted at the jab but ignored.
She was almost at ease in his house, but he had to remember her…
"Well, after we split ways from you two…" Rin then began her explanation, telling that she and Archer attempted to break Caster's bounded field around the Ryuudou Temple, but then had to pass through the only passageway towards the temple, through the regular stairs that led to the temple. She then revealed the presence of Assassin waiting for them and that Assassin was Caster's servant. Shirou and Saber frowned at that, but considering that Caster was a magus, then she would weirdly be able to summon a heroic spirit. Rin then explained that Archer was able to kill Assassin, despite being quite a gruesome battle. With access to the temple, they continued until they saw Caster inside with Sakura captured.
"Why would Caster kidnap Sakura, she had nothing to do with this?"
Rin frowned, wondering if she should tell, but then if she was dishonest at any point, Emiya would not help her.
"Emiya, the person who you know as Matou Sakura is actually Tohsaka Sakura." Shirou and Saber were surprised instantly, Shirou most of all because then Sakura would be a magus. "Fun practice of the Mage's Assocation…only one child may carry on the family legacy, so my father gave her for adoption to the Matou Family. I do not know…. Caster must have seen her talking to me one time and made the connection between us. I ordered Archer to rescue her, but Caster had a weapon up ready, one of her noble phantasm called Rule Breaker, an anti-magic noble phantasm. She just scratched Archer with it, but it was enough to sever his bond with me and Caster took possession of Archer. After that, Archer was ordered to attack me and well, it hurt a lot…though he eased the punching somewhat…"
Saber was busy storing all the important information from Caster as Rin continued her explanation.
Caster's Noble Phantasm was truly frightening if a mere scratch could turn her against Shirou.
Long-range fighting was the only solution right now and in this case her master would be more adept at this sort of fight than her. While Saber had some long-range attacks, hers lacked Shirou's adaptability.
Rin then turned Saber's mind upside down the moment that she explained that Archer turned the table around and attacked both Caster and her master thus killing them with projected swords. Shirou and Saber exchanged looks immediately upon hearing that. Apparently, the archer class servant has something called 'independent action' and thus can override the master's orders. In such cases, only a command seal could force one from said class to oblige an order. Saber could remember that vividly, since the Archer from the previous war would constantly question his master's orders.
When Rin finished the part where Archer turned the tables and killed Caster, Shirou had a question of his own.
"If his link with Caster is gone, then Archer's presence in this world should have ended. How come he's still here?"
"Normally, servants can make pacts with other masters. Depending on the amount of mana the servant has, he can last a day or two without a master."
"And what about Sakura then?"
Rin was getting annoyed at Emiya's questions, but she answered them, nonetheless.
This was the most disturbing part of her story and something that Rin was still struggling to come to grasp with.
"I believed that after Archer dealt with them, that he would reform his pact with me…but that did not happen. I was about to reform the pact with him when he simply smashed my hand away and grabbed Sakura, before jumping away from the temple. He then turned to me and said that if I wanted to rescue Sakura, then I should convince you Shirou to come and face him in battle alone." Saber instantly narrowed her fists in anger at the audacity while Shirou was non-responsive. Rin however continued. "Still now, I can't for the likes of me figure out what Archer could have with you. I mean, sure, you can be annoying and all, but for some inexplicable reason, he has an aversity towards you so high that I could feel his hatred upon speaking your name."
Rin then turned to him, just as Saber did the same.
"Shirou…" He could feel worry in her voice.
"Rin, I gather that you have a powerful connection with Archer and you were thus able to dream, sort of speak, about his story." She nodded, knowing that it is common with powerful magus. "Well, it turned out that his connection to me also allowed me to probably see the same things you did. The wars he went to, the torment he went through, all for one single ideal which happens to be like my own, one that was taught to me by my father, Emiya Kiritusgu. To be able to help everyone. And this started after I became face to face with him. The type of power he possesses is the same as my own, or at least very similar. I believe that Archer is me in the future…or at least a possible future, in case I choose to run down the same path." Rin looked at Shirou as If was crazy for a while before she immediately the pieces together. Her brain was abnormal in that regard. Images of Archer's words flashed in her mind.
'I have no wishes for the Grail to grant. I had many regrets in my life, but this war had provided me with the means to fix it'.
'…Once more, foolish words you'll live to regret in the future. We're done here, Rin'.
'If you ever wish to see Sakura again, Rin, bring Emiya Shirou to the place where the fire happened in the previous war. It's time I ended this once and for all'.
"When I first summoned him, he said to me that his memories from the past were blurry, so the bastard lied to me from the start." Rin could not even begin to understand the sudden time loop that was happening right now. If he was Shirou from the future, then he wanted to what…kill Shirou and thus erasing his own existence. Once again, what a stupid way of thinking just like the thought when she saw how he died. Turning to Shirou, she now realized that she had dropped a bomb on his head. If what he said is true, then Archer knew that Shirou would come to save Sakura, because it was in his nature to do so. Suddenly, an immense headache developed as she wanted to pound him on the ground for doing such a thing.
Rin noticed with surprise as Saber kneeled by Shirou's side and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, once more, showing an immense bond between master and servant.
"Thank you Saber, I guess it's inevitable in the end, huh. I know you will disagree with me, but I have to go."
Rin was pretty much forgotten at this point. The servant in the room nodded with a gentle smile at him.
"I know that you see it that way, Shirou and I understand. Rescuing Sakura is the honorable thing to do and I will be with you every step of the way, you can count on me."
"I appreciate it and I'm sorry if it deviates from our strategy thus far. Though with Caster and Assassin gone, only Archer and Lancer remains. Now, once more you will disagree with me, but I feel it in my gut that it must be me who faces Archer."
Saber felt strongly against that, but she also knew that her master needed to face this path. She saw what kind of life Archer had and it was torment in the end. It was like a future mirror that Shirou was looking at it and he needed to know for sure that when presented with tough decisions in the future, he would be able to choose a different direction. As such, no matter how much it bothered her to let him face a servant on his own, she also knew that some fights had to be faced by yourself.
"Yes, I disagree Shirou, but like I said before, you won't be alone. And like you said when we first started, we are partners in this. Back then you asked me to trust you, so I'm asking right now the same. Just like it happened against Berserker, when you saved me, If I I see that you are about to get killed, I will intervene and that's nonnegotiable." Shirou and Saber exchanged looks now and he could only nod in appreciation at her just like she was doing the same with him. He would not ask her to do anything different. He was committed into aiding her in getting the grail and getting killed by Archer just was not on the table of acceptable consequences. Also, by beating Archer, he would show that no matter what happens in the future, he would find a way around it through sheer perseverance.
Shirou could also feel through his link with Saber that she was worried for him and the feeling in his chest returned full force at that.
He then turned to Rin who was simply staring at their bond in surprise.
"Rin, if you wish to stay, you can use one of the spare rooms, but we have to rest for tomorrow night." The woman in question even looked in surprise seeing as these two were simply ignoring her for a while. Also, she was simply too exhausted and mentally drained to even think of going to an empty house right now. She got up and appreciated his hospitality, before lodging in one of the western style rooms that she found. Shirou and Saber soon left the kitchen as well, heading towards their shared room, not that Rin saw it of course, since she was already inside her chosen room.
===Shirou's room===
It did not take long for Shirou to do his regular routine of a quick shower before he returned to his room with his night clothes. Saber was already waiting for him inside his futon, just like he remembered them sleeping together last night. Of course, he was not about to complain as he got into position before Saber positioned herself close to his arm and with her head on his chest. For a moment, they just stood there while Saber gently caressed Shirou's chest, while in great pondering.
"Shirou…" She turned her head towards him and saw the look of affection he was sending her.
"I'm glad we can be like this once more, Saber." Her worry about the events tomorrow made her forget that she was almost defeated by Berserker tonight.
A sudden wish for the time to stop assaulted her mind. The war was reaching its climax soon enough with now less than two servants to go and she would eventually depart from this time. The rational part of her mind would think more in the likes of being closer to saving her country from the demise that she himself was responsible for. However, in doing so, many of the events that happened in her life would cease to exist. What would her life be like? Would she become a simple knight under the new king? Quite doubtful…no woman would become a knight. She only became King because of the sword. No, her life would be no different than of a regular woman living in the countryside probably marrying someone in the best scenario.
She dared not to think what would happen to her in the worst scenario. She came to know of some occurrences that would make her sick to her stomach.
Also, Saber would have not forged the bonds of camaraderie she had with her knights, a bond that would never break.
And all for what…for the possibility that someone else came along and ruled her country better than she ever did.
For some reason, Shirou's image appeared in her mind as if he was judging her for wanting to change the past like she wanted to. When they first talked about it, he respected her for it, though he made his opinion known at the time that he did not agree. Now, that the time was approaching for her to decide, doubts soon appeared and it all because of the man whose chest she was feeling so comfortable lying on. He treated her not as a servant, but as a partner, thus reducing any obstacle of her dream to happen. Was she expecting him to challenge her in her beliefs? In the previous war, she remembered having a heated discussion with the other kings about her desire and she was laughed at. She knew that right now her master's thoughts were on Archer, but she…wanted to talk about something else right now.
"Shirou, I am sorry about worrying you over another subject, but this is something I treasure deeply and really wanted to hear it from you."
Shirou could see that whatever it was that she wanted to talk about, was serious.
"What is it?"
"Please be honest and tell me what you really think about my wish." She valued his opinion way more than she realized and the way her master closed his eyes and levelled his breathing at least showed that he was taking her question seriously. Shirou for his part saw that he needed to answer it truthfully otherwise he may lose the trust they have. It was indeed a sensitive topic for her, he knew that.
"I only came to know about your suffering through our shared memories, Saber. Hence why I would not dare to assume that I fully understand how much you suffered. I also understand and respect the mission you undertook the moment you released Caliburn from the stone." She smiled at him, wishing him to continue his train of thought. "I can only answer your question giving you my experience…if I were in your position, would I wish the fire ten years ago never happened? Thousands lost their lives that day…the images I've seen that day…the voices of terror begging me to help them…in the end, I once wondered why I was the one left alive that day." Saber could see that her Shirou had transported himself back to that fateful day. "In the end, no matter how much I desired that no one would die like that, I could not simply forgive myself if I started thinking that all their sacrifices were in vain. At the crux of the matter, they did so that I could live…"
"So, if I understood your analogy, then for me to wish that I was not chosen by the sword…it would be the same as believing that my and everyone's efforts were in vain"
Shirou nodded, feeling as if he was threading on thin ice.
Saber's face was barred in his chest and she had a far look on her eyes. The images of her knights following her and abiding to her orders…the image of her kingdom flourishing under her command...the image of her people enjoying their lives in Camelot…would it change that much if she was out of that picture…if someone else sat in her throne instead of her. She had focused so much of her life in this exact moment that now she wondered if Shirou's words had merit. If the shoes were reversed, it would be the same as Shirou wishing that someone else was saved instead of him that day. What if Kiritsugu had rescued someone else instead? What if the fire never existed at all and Shirou would have lived a regular life as a regular student and having a regular life instead of being a master in a grail war?
As she pondered on such a sensitive topic, Shirou once more surprised her.
"If I were to be selfish, though, Saber, I would wish for us to be like this forever…"
Saber's mind jolted at that as she could feel his hand gently caressing her face. Her hand also moved closer to his as she nodded at him with a smile. In a move that surprised her, Shirou leaned in to kiss her. The feeling in her chest returned and she saw no reason not to come forward the rest of the way, kissing him back. It was not to say that Saber was not experienced in this sort of thing, since she had seen Sir Lancelot do this on plenty of occasions to Guinevere, but feeling it for the first time and with someone she had strong feelings no less, was exhilarating.
At first, it started gentle. She felt his arms embracing her and slowly deepen the kiss, showing her a whole new experience that she never wanted it to stop.
Yes, a selfish desire indeed from him, she mused.
But it was one that she deeply desired to as well as she hugged him back, enjoying every second of their make-out session.
She soon stopped once she felt her breasts touching Shirou's chest. It was getting too soon too fast. Saber then looked at his eyes as they hugged each other. Since their chest region were rather close to one another, Saber could feel his heart beating fast and it was all because of their intimate moment right now. They both smiled tenderly at each other and resumed another long make-out session, before they lied down once more, this time Shirou's arms was around her neck and her body was even closer to his, instead of just her head.
Yesterday, she was already open into experimenting many experiences with him and tonight, they had made a gigantic step in terms of intimacy.
Even if both were rather inexperienced, the thought of what would come next was rather evident as both shared deep blushes at the future prospects. Also, memories of their conversation prior to the kiss returned, but this time Shirou could see that she was more at ease now.
"Shirou, I thank you for being honest before with me…you truly gave me much to ponder on."
"Glad I could help out in a way…though I do not know if that was what you wanted to hear."
Saber knew he was speaking from the heart and she appreciated that he did not criticize her way of thinking, but it was important to hear his opinion.
For her his opinion mattered.
"I understand your reasoning for not changing your past and I concur somewhat…knowing the knights I went to battle with, they would not look at me kindly, if they knew I was thinking like this. I will admit that I am having doubts about it…"
"Like I said before, if that's your wish by the end of this war, Saber, I will support you."
It is true, he did say that when she first told him about it. She would worry about that when the situation arises in the future, not before. After all, she would only able to make a wish if she were the last servant standing at the end of this war. Now, her focus was another point of worry. Shirou's fight against Archer. Throughout this partnership, while Saber had won all of their spars, it showed her that Shirou could hold his own, but that counting on the fact that it would be a straight fight like either a saber or lancer servant. Archer, on the other hand, normally fought differently.
As the couple turned to sleep for the night, Saber offered one last topic of discussion.
"Are you sure you wish to fight him tomorrow, Shirou? Against me, he would not stand a chance…" He could only laugh at that, knowing her.
"Yeah, against you he would not last long…but I need to do this. If only to show to both him and myself that I can face my destiny and not succumb to it."
He could see then a more challenging smile on her face, forcing him to gulp nervously.
"Ok then, tomorrow we shall take our sparring up a notch. By the time I am done with you, you will be able to follow his movements at the very least."
"Wouldn't want it any different Saber…good night." She nodded at him and snuggled even closer in comfort.
===Next day===
Tohsaka Rin was probably having the best nap of her life in this small but cozy room.
The fact that she was not in her empty dark house was already a boom. She always dreaded coming home at night as it reminded her that her family was gone. This was the first time that she had ever slept elsewhere and after the events of last night, she was just too exhausted to care about not sleeping in her own bed. There was a strange noise coming outside looking like metal pounding on metal, but Rin was never a morning person to begin with, hence why her mind did not register it. The sunlight was barely illuminating the room she was staying at, which settled just fine for her. Her own room had a big window, hence why the morning sun would barge inside unimpeded.
The noise outside became louder and Rin could have sworn that she heard grunts of exertion, both a male and a female's.
It was only when she heard a huge noise followed by an earthly tremor that she bolted out of her bed and marched towards the house's backyard. She was about to yell at whoever was making the noise before she fell on her butt in surprise at what she was witnessing or rather trying to. Her eyes were having trouble following, but surely so, she could spot images of Shirou and Saber having a sword fight to the death. The tremor was caused by the tree in the middle now sliced in half, no doubt, courtesy of the blonde woman who was ferociously and viciously attacking her master. Shirou, on the other hand, while firmly on the defensive, looked like he was keeping up with the speed and strikes of his servant, though Rin could see that his arms had a couple of nasty cuts.
After seeing such display, Rin had no trouble believing that these two were able to defeat the great Heracles.
She could feel the amount of mana that Saber had in her disposal, which was a testament to Shirou's prowess as a magus.
Still, for them to fight like this, no doubt it would alert the neighbors and even law enforcement. However, her eyes could see the bounded field around the property. With that number of layers, she wondered if people even heard the loud tremor right now. Rin was once more scared shitless when Shirou appeared inches from her position holding his ground as Saber slammed her own sword against his from the air. His knees buckled at the pressure, but Rin could see from the servant's face that she was enjoying this immensely. Shirou managed to flip the game and attacked Saber, forcing her on the defensive for a while. He increased his speed and attacked, but always keeping his aggression controlled in case Saber used it to her advantage.
However, being a knight and a servant of the saber class, in the end, in a straight sword fight, he had no chance as Saber forced him to release his weapon and positioned her sword close to his neck, thus ending the 'spar'. Shirou smiled at Saber's offer to help him stand as they then shared a nice moment. Saber always enjoyed their morning spars and he found himself obliging it not only for his training but also to see that look on her beautiful face.
"You have improved Shirou. Your agility is much better, and you kept me with me till the end when you decided to attack…"
"Thank you, though this time you weren't kidding when you said you would take it up a notch. I could feel my knee joints complaining." Truth be told, she had indeed used more power in that strike than she realized. And also his created weapons managed to hold its structure quite nicely.
Shirou was busy healing himself and no one even paid attention to the gawking black haired magus looking at them.
He was the one who saw Rin sitting on the ground in disarray.
"Ah Tohsaka, what are you doing there on the ground?"
"I was having a good night sleep until you two decided it was nice to wreck the place up. Seriously, do you two always train like this every day?"
Shirou had wrapped a small towel around his neck, trying in vain to dry the amount of sweat from the workout.
"Pretty much, yes. Well, I will take a quick shower and then prepare us some breakfast. Saber, Rin, feel free to wait for me in the kitchen." Rin watched dumbly as Saber and Shirou walked inside, but soon got up and followed the servant towards the kitchen, none the wiser that Saber was silently wondering what would be like if she joined her master in the shower.
Okay, that is enough for now.
Next up, is the fateful fight and for that I will take my due time in writing it. Also, I enjoyed writing about their in-progress relationship, allowing them to gather their feelings for each other. While it's not clear for them how much time they have, neither of them are worrying much about what could happen, thus seizing every possible moment together. Also, I have indeed made some changes to the UBW facts, mixing it up with the Fate series. Please, let me know what you all think about it.
PLEASE REVIEW!
