Hey everyone, I would like to express my deepest apologies for the long wait. Work and school take top priority for me, and I also have a few other stories that I work on as well. But do not worry, I plan to have at least one chapter of Fairy May Cry posted a month, or two if I get lucky. But now I have a basic plan to follow.

Fairy Tail Strikes Back!
Dante stood close to Lucy, Happy, Lisanna, Modeus, and Carla near a wall in the hallway filled with icy mist as they looked towards the opening that revealed their friends; Erza Scarlet, Grey Fullbuster, Trish the Lightning-She-Devil, and Lady the Demon Hunter; the four of whom we're facing the squad of Edolas soldiers
Lucy had tears of joy forming in her eyes, as did Lisanna, Happy, and Carla. Modeus had a relieved smile while Dante carried his usual smirk. "What the Hell took you guys so long?"
Lady smirked back. "Sorry, you get trapped in a giant crystal and see how you like it."
"We can catch up later." Trish said before she turned to the Edolas soldiers. "After we tear these guys apart."
Meanwhile; the Edolas soldiers we're shocked beyond words at the individuals that stood against them, while still recovering from the shock of Dante shaking off being stabbed by Erza Knightwalker. But Knightwalker found herself even more shocked at the sight of Erza Scarlet glaring at her.
"You guys got some explaining to do." Grey growled as he put his hand to his palm. "Where are our friends that your king turned into a Lacrima?! HUH!?" Grey thrusted both his hands to the ground and sent a trail of ice-spikes across the ground, tearing through a large majority of the guards.
"You idiots better start talking." Trish added as she took out her sword Sparda and charged it with blue electricity before tossing it like a large shuriken, slicing and electrocuting more of the guards.
Lady got into the fray as well, pulling out her rocket-launcher and blasting away the remaining guards.
"Lady look out!"
Lucy's warning came slightly late as Lady looked up to see Erza Knightwalker jumping towards her with her trident; but her attack was blocked by a sword wielded by Erza Scarlet, both Erzas glaring at each other.
Dante smirked at the sight. "Erza vs. Erza. Place your bets ladies and gentleman."
Both Erzas locked their weapons as a whirlwind kicked up around them, both getting ready to use their respective magics, neither one removing their glares from each other. Trish and Lady both pointed their pistols towards Erza Knightwalker, but Modeus held out his arm.
"No."
"Shouldn't we be helping her?" Lady asked.
"This is her fight." Modeus replied. "We must respect it and let her do battle."
"Besides, this is our Erza." Dante added. "She can handle a cheap copy."
"You guys asked for it! I'm gonna beat the crap out of every last one of you!" A very familiar voice echoed from further down the hall.
"It's Natsu!" Lucy exclaimed, recognizing it.
"Yeah, he must be nearby." Grey guessed.
"It come from up ahead!" Happy observed.
"And I bet Wendy's with him." Carla assumed.
"Trish, Grey, Lady; I can handle this. You go on ahead!" Erza ordered.
"Got it." Lady replied.
"Good luck Red." Trish added as they attended to their friends. Modeus helped Lisanna to her feet as Trish did the same for Lucy, and Lady helped up Dante, while he looked back to Erza.
"Where the heck did you guys come from?" Lucy asked Trish.
"We'll give the details later kid, lets go."
"Hey Erza, give that wannabe-you Hell." Dante said with his smirk before joining up with the others.
Erza smiled before turning her attention back to her Edolas counterpart. They locked their weapons further until they broke off with a few slashes. Erza Scarlet had a cut on her left cheek while Erza Knightwalker had one on her the bridge of her nose.
"I'd never imagine I'd face off with myself." Knightwalker glared.
"Quite an odd feeling indeed." Erza Scarlet agreed.
"I'm the Captain of the Kingdom of Edolas' Second Magic Warfare Unit. My name is Erza Knightwalker."
"I am a wizard from Earthland's Fairy Tail. My name is Erza Scarlet."
Knightwalker held her trident with an evil smirk. "Well it's a pleasure to meet you, Earthland-version-of-me." Her trident glowed for a few seconds before it transformed into a silver spear. "Now lets see what you're made of!"
Erza Scarlet found herself surprised at the change of Knightwalker's weapon.
"Silfarion!" Knightwalker thrusted forward, her speed increasing dramatically, causing Erza Scarlet to have a more difficult time blocking the relentless attacks and slashes from her evil counterpart.
"She's fast." Erza Scarlet noted as she saw light shine around the rapid-moving Knightwalker. "In that case… Flight Armor!"
Erza Scarlet had requipped into her Flight Armor; which increased her own speed as well. Her speed was now on equal terms with Knightwalker as the two slashed relentlessly, but the other blocked each attack with their respective weapons.
"She changed her armor and now all of a sudden, her speed has increased!" Erza Knightwalker observed. Erza Scarlet slashed with her blade, forcing Erza Knightwalker to jump in the air; while airborne, her weapon glowed and changed again, this time into a silver-blue spear with spikes around it.
"Mel Force!" Knightwalker's spear was now equipped with a sudden increase in strength and physical force; enough so that it sent Erza Scarlet flying back through a wall and into a separate room. When Erza Scarlet slammed into the wall of the other room, Knightwalker jumped up with her spear as it changed again.
This new transformation was now of a glowing red spear. "Her requip?" Erza Scarlet guessed as she saw this. "No, it looks as though she's simply altering her weapon's form."
"Explosion!" Knightwalker slammed her spear right onto Erza Scarlet; the explosion was large enough that it blew into the next room; a massive chamber with a stone bridge just under the giant statue of the head of King Faust.
When the dust cleared, Erza Scarlet was still standing strong, now requipped into her red Flame Empress Armor. She held her red sword in a defensive stance as it glowed from the heat and force of Knightwalker's attack.
Knightwalker looked down in surprise. "How does she keep transforming her armor like that?" She then spoke directly to her Earthland counterpart. "You're magic allows you to swap your clothes and weapons simultaneously?"
"It seems unfair, doesn't it? Especially when all you can do is alter your weapon." Erza Scarlet observed.
Knightwalker smirked. "It may appear that way to you, but my battle-strength is boosted by the form of my spear!"
Erza Scarlet took note of this. "I see, while the principle is different, it is effectively the same as the Knight Requip I use in battle. And it's also not too different from the use of Dante's various Devil Arms either."
Knightwalker glared at the mention of that name. "Don't dare mention the name of that man in my presence!"
Erza Scarlet noticed the hostile tone of her counterpart's voice. "You seem to hold a personal vendetta against him. Am I correct to assume you lost a duel to Dante?"
"I did not loose!" Knightwalker angrily exclaimed. "Just how is it he was able to survive being impaled in the chest?! I know I pierced his heart!"
Erza merely smiled. "If I told you of Dante's heritage you would find it even more impossible than the current situation you are in right now."
Knightwalker took a battle stance. "No matter, once I defeat you, I'll settle the score with him; by cutting his head clean off."
Erza took her own battle-stance as well. "Even if you did defeat me, and I would not make it easy for you, the odds of you actually defeating Dante are very low." Knightwalker glared. "I speak from experience; he and I have been sparring partners for a while…" Erza had a smile on her face as she finished. "And I've still never beaten him."
Meanwhile; Dante, Grey, Lisanna, Lucy, Modeus, Trish, Lady, ran while Happy and Carla flew with their wings. As they proceeded down the hall as the group was filled in on the details.
"So that big-ass lacrima back in the plaza had you guys locked up inside?" Dante asked.
"Yeah; me, Lady, and Erza." Grey confirmed.
"How we're you able to escape? And for that matter, how can you use your abilities?" Modeus asked.
"That would be thanks to me and Gajeel." Trish said.
"Huh?!" Lucy and Happy asked at the same time.
Flashback
"Civilians are clear, time to make our move." Gajeel stated.
"Finally, I was really starting to get bored with all this sneaking around." Trish agreed.
"Hey, didn't you two hear!?" One soldier spoke to the two. "I said move back!"
The Iron Dragon Slayer and Lightning She-Demon both threw away their robes, revealing themselves in their respective clothing. Gajeel took a combat stance, while Trish pulled out her duel pistols Luce and Ombra.
"That Mystogen may be one freaky weirdo, but we got no choice to trust him for right now!" Gajeel said.
"Lets kick some ass Gajeel." Trish stated as they both charged forward.
"Iron Dragon Club!" Gajeel's right arm stretched forward in the form of an iron pillar that blew away several guards.
Trish leaped into the air, with her hands surging with blue lighting, which she charged into her pistols and fired. The bullets hit the ground near the guards, creating a series of electrical explosions to blow them all back.
Edolas Gajeel saw the commotion from a safe distance and looked quite amused. "It's going precisely as planned."
Trish made a sweeping kick in the air that sent a wave of lighting forward, which blasted back several more guards, leaving an opening.
"Gajeel! NOW!" She yelled.
No time to think, Gajeel used the opening Trish gave him to jump straight at the lacrima. "Iron Dragon Sword! Ain't no stopping me!" With a heave he slammed his bladed-arm straight onto the lacrima crystal. No less than a second later, the entire crystal exploded in a massive surge of bright light; forcing everyone, Trish and Gajeel included, to shield their eyes.
"What the hell…?" Gajeel uttered.
"I can't be…" Trish uttered as well.
The large bright light subsided to reveal three figures on the ground; they we're Grey, Erza, and Lady (who fortunately still had her rocket launcher); they silently got on their knees as hair covered their eyes, still disoriented from being sealed in the crystal.
"You gotta be kidding me! It was just the three of them?!" Gajeel questioned.
"Hey guys, get up! On you're feet, we need to go!" Trish hurried them.
Lady, Grey, and Erza all slowly stood up as the steam and light faded away from their bodies and they slowly opened their eyes.
"We we're was worried they fried your brains." Gajeel joked.
"Trish? Gajeel?" Erza questioned as the group looked around.
"What the hell just happened?" Lady questioned as well, looking around at their surroundings.
"Hey, what's going on?!" Grey exclaimed.
"Catch you up later; right now we gotta go!" Trish urged.
The group somehow seemed to forget the large amount of royal soldiers surrounding them from all sides.
"Don't let them escape!"
"You're not getting away with this, capture them!"
Every single Edolas soldier in the plaza ran towards them with angry spears. Grey growled as he put a hand on his palm to cast a spell, but he couldn't feel any magic, much to his shock.
"My magic isn't working!"
"What?!" Erza questioned.
"We'll explain everything later." Gajeel said as he casually ate a piece of metal before turning to the soldiers. "Iron Dragon Roar!"
Trish added to it by charging blue lightning into Gajeel's attack; the iron in the breath-attack conducted the demonic lightning, which yielded destructive and explosive results for the soldiers.
A few moments later; the group had manage to escape from the soldiers and found a safe place to hide and catch up.
"How come you guys can use your powers?" Grey asked Trish and Gajeel.
Gajeel showed a small container of red pills. "I'll tell ya once you take one of these."
"What are those?" Lady asked.
"Enough already! Just tell us what happened." Erza stated.
"The three of you we're turned into a giant lacrima." A new voice explained.
"We told you it would be easy." Gajeel told the newcomer with a smirk.
"Indeed. I would expect no less from Earthland-me, and the lovely Trish as well." He revealed his face. "I knew you'd be the right people for the job."
Grey, Lady, and Erza found themselves comically shocked by the face of the Edolas Gajeel.
"What the hell!?" Lady comically exclaimed.
"That's insane!" Grey exclaimed in a similar manner.
"There's two of you!?" Erza comically questioned as well.
"Yep. Everyone, meet the Edolas version of Gajeel." Trish introduced.
Gajeel put his arm around the shoulder of his Edolas counterpart's shoulders. "Indeed, although we look a lot alike, we're actually quite different."
"Gotta say, he's been a big help." Gajeel added. "Crazy how he looks exactly like me, we're like twins."
"Forget the whole twin thing! What the hell did you mean that we we're turned into a giant lacrima?!" Lady questioned.
Gajeel and Edolas Gajeel had comically stunned expressions. "Guess she's not impressed." Gajeel observed.
"I doubt many chicks would be impressed by two of that ugly mug." Grey smirked while Trish also smirked at the joke, but both Gajeels grumbled as a purple cloud hung above them.
Trish, Gajeel, and Edolas Gajeel then took the time to explain to Grey, Erza, and Lady the same situation Mystogen told them involving Edolas and the rules of magic they had in that world; as well as pretty much everyone in Earthland having counterparts in Edolas.
"I know it sounds crazy but all of the Earthland Fairy Tail wizards we're turned into a Lacrima." Edolas Gajeel continued explaining. "The King wants to get his hands on your magic power. The one in the plaza was so big we thought everyone from your guild was inside it."
"It looks like though we we're wrong because it turned out to be just the three of you." Trish said.
"Geeze, how big is the main lacrima?!" Gajeel questioned.
"You know, now that you mention it, I had noticed the one in the plaza had a jagged surface to it, as though it had been somehow cut off from a much larger one." Edolas Gajeel recalled.
"I've got so many questions right now, I'm not sure where to start." Lady stated.
"I do." Grey began. "For starters, what's that stuff you're forcing on us?" Grey asked, referring to the container of red pills.
"They're called X-balls." Trish began to explain. "You won't be able to use any of your power here in Edolas until you take one of them."
Erza and Grey each took an X-ball; but Lady didn't as she was never a wizard to begin with; and she still had her trusty pistols and massive rocket launcher with a blade attached to the end.
"Well at least that's what Mystogen told us." Gajeel added.
That got Erza's attention. "You saw Mystogen?!"
End flashback
"That's right!" Happy realized. "I almost forget; Gajeel is a Dragon Slayer, and Trish is like Dante and Modeus; so it makes sense that the Anima didn't affect them either."
"I can't believe we actually forgot about you guys." Dante stated.
"In our defense however, it was an unusual situation and we had a lot to take in at the moment." Modeus said. He turned to Trish. "Our apologies."
"Forget about it." Trish replied with a smile. "But who's you're new friend?" She pointed her thumb to a certain white-haired girl.
Grey turned to her and only now realized it. "What the… Lisanna?!"
The aforementioned girl looked down a bit.
"Wait, Lisanna?!" Lady questioned. "As in Mira and Elfman's sister?! I thought she was dead!"
"You are mistaken." Carla pointed out. "The one before you is the Edolas counterpart to the Lisanna you are all familiar with."
"So… you're not our Lisanna, right?" Grey asked her in confirmation.
"Yeah." Lisanna said while still looking down; but Dante noticed the tone in her voice.
"But she has been a great help to us." Modeus explained. "She helped guide us through Edolas up to where we are right now."
"Uh getting back to our current problem; why exactly is it that all Dragon Slayers we're left behind back in Earthland?" Lucy asked.
"Because apparently Dragon Slayer magic can do all sorts of crazy stuff that no other magic can do here in Edolas." Dante explained. "The bad guys explained this to us while we we're trapped."
"The Royal Kingdom in Edolas intends to use the Dragon Slayer Magic as a fuel source to help replenish their own dwindling supply." Modeus explained as well.
"But that's not even the best part." Grey added. "Dragon Slayers can use their magic to turn everyone stuck in the lacrima back to normal."
That caught the group by surprise. "Seriously?" Carla questioned with wide eyes.
"Carla and I saw that Lacrima earlier and I know exactly where it is!" Happy said.
"You actually saw it?" Lady asked. "Can you get to it?"
"Aye!" Happy confirmed.
"I guess that means we can call of Gajeel. He's rampaging through town looking for it as we speak." Grey stated.
"And he didn't invite me? That's unfair." Dante joked, while everyone else ignored him.
"Happy, are you sure you can lead him to the Lacrima?" Trish asked.
"I can take him there as long as you're sure he can change everybody back." Happy said.
"Well, he's our only hope. I mean, I'm pretty sure Natsu and Wendy can do it to, but I don't think either one of them know how." Grey replied.
Happy popped into the air with his wings. "Don't worry, Gajeel and I are gonna get our friends back right now!"
"Hey Happy, I'm going with you." Lady told him. "Who knows what is guarding that Lacrima, and I want to help get our friends back to. I lost one family already, I'm not loosing another!"
"Alright, lets go!" Happy picked up Lady and flew out of the dungeon hallway.
"Wait… will you two be okay!?" Lisanna called out to them.
"They'll be fine." Dante stated. "Lady is more than capable of handling herself, and Happy may be small and fluffy but he's tough as nails."
"Natsu and Wendy need our help, lets go find them." Modeus stated as everyone else ran down the tunnel to find their friends.
The group ran down the long tunnel as they came to a large door at the end of the hallway.
"Hey look, there's a door up ahead." Lucy pointed out.
"That's gotta be where they're holding them!" Trish guessed.
Dante ran ahead of the pack; pulled out Rebellion and cut the door down with one slash. The group looked in shock to see both Natsu and Wendy lying on the ground, unconscious and drained.
"Natsu!" Lisanna and Lucy exclaimed.
"Wendy!" Carla and Modeus exclaimed as well.
Grey, Modeus, Trish, and Carla ran towards the unconscious Wendy. "Are you alright?" Grey tried to wake her up.
"Come on kid, say something!" Trish urged.
"Wendy…." Carla breathed.
Meanwhile; Lisanna and Lucy both held Natsu as Dante and Lady leaned down close to him.
"Natsu…" Lisanna breathed with worry clearly evident in her shaken eyes. "Come Natsu wake up!"
Modeus felt along Wendy's wrist for her pulse. "Wendy is alive; but she is unconscious."
"Natsu's out cold to." Lucy confirmed as well.
Carla had tears streaming down her eyes. "Wendy! I'm so sorry! Forgive me!" She cried as she held the unconscious Wendy. Dante gave a slight glare in Carla's direction, still thinking she was responsible for this.
Grey meanwhile found himself angrily shaking Natsu. "Come on! This is no time to be sleeping on the job! Wake up you crazy pyro maniac!"
Lisanna pushed Grey off. "Hey! Don't be so rough with him!"
"Any one of you guys got a clue how to wake them? We need all the fire power we can get." Trish said.
"We might as well feed them some X-balls while they're out." Grey guessed.
"Some X what?" Dante asked.
"What are those?" Lucy asked Trish as she took out a case of the red pills.
"Magic pills. They are what let us use our powers here in Edolas." Trish explained to the group; catching them by surprise. "Lucy, didn't you get one from Mystogen when you ran into him?"
Lucy then remembered when she met Mystogen right when the Anima pulled up the Earthland Fairy Tail and he tossed a red pill into her mouth.
"That's what it was? I was wondering what he popped in my mouth." Lucy said.
"Seriously? You didn't think that would be connected to how you can use magic here? Just how oblivious are you?" Dante questioned.
"Shut up Dante." Lucy grumbled.
"These pills will allow us to use our powers?" Modeus asked.
"Yeah, you can't use your magic in this world without it." Grey confirmed. Lisanna took an X-ball and fed it to Natsu. He swallowed it and began to cough and hack up a storm.
"Natsu!" Lisanna exclaimed with worry, seeing him like this.
"Give one to me, I'll give to Wendy." Modeus said as Trish handed him two pills.
"Here, you take one to." Trish said to Modeus while she tossed another one to Dante. "You to Dante."
Natsu's coughs vanished as he became conscious. "Are you feeling any better?" Lucy asked.
Natsu punched a firey-fist into the ground in anger; much to the group's surprise. "Those bastards…" he growled.
"Natsu…?" Lisanna wondered; but he angrily let loose a torrent of fire from his mouth right into the air; causing both Lucy and Lisanna to have wide-eyed circles for eyes. He then ran off, much to the group's shock.
"Hey! Get back here stupid!" Trish called out to him; but the group looked towards Wendy who was slowly waking up with coughs.
"Wendy!" Carla exclaimed as the group came to her.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asked.
"Are you okay?" Grey asked as well.
Modeus leaned down to Wendy and helped her slowly up from the ground. "Modeus… Carla..."
Carla was still worried. "Are you hurt?"
"Can you move?" Modeus asked as well with concern as well.
"I'm fine but… the others are in trouble."
"What kind of trouble?" Dante asked as the rest of the group listened.
Elsewhere in the castle
Byro approached the waiting King Faust with Nelo Angelo by his side.
"I am sorry to keep you waiting, my lord. We have more-or-less completed the extraction." Byro informed the King.
"I'm happy to hear it Byro." Faust replied.
"Am I correct to assume your device is ready?" Nelo Angelo asked.
'That is correct, mighty Black Angel." Byro confirmed. "The Dragon Slayers' magic power is spectacular indeed. Now that we have it, I imagine weaponizing it will prove to be a simple task."
Faust gave an evil chuckle as Nelo Angelo smirked inside his helmet. He then made a small bow to the king.
"This is all excellent news, you're majesty. But if you'll excuse me, there is a little 'pest problem' that I need to deal with."
Faust turned to Nelo Angelo with his smile still present. "Then by all means, exterminate it."
"With great pleasure." Nelo Angelo then proceeded to walk out of the room. He then began to think. "Everything is ready. Soon, my Lord Mundus, soon all of Edolas will be yours. And Earthland is next." He thought to himself.
Back in the dungeon.
Wendy was telling Dante, Grey, Trish, Lisanna, Lucy, Carla, and Modeus of the plan that Byro told her and Natsu while they we're draining their magic earlier.
"It's horrible…. The Royal Army… they're going to destroy Extalia, by crashing the giant lacrima directly into it!"
Grey, Carla, Trish, Modeus, Lucy, Lisanna, even Dante, looked in shock at shrunken pupils at that revelation.
"All of our friends in Fairy Tail are in danger because the King of Edolas is going to use them as a bomb!" the teary-eyed Wendy exclaimed.
At the same time; Faust reveled in this vision. "The moment I've been waiting for has finally arrived!" He exclaimed with a mad grin. "Upon impact the magic of the Earthlanders and Exceeds will explode and fuse together! And ever-lasting magic power will forever rain down upon our kingdom!" He then gave an evil and joyous laugh.
"If you didn't realize it already; Edolas is filled with almost entirely with floating islands." Lisanna began to tell the group.
"Yeah, apparently Extalia's magic power is what keeps them afloat." Lucy added as well. "What's more, the book I read says that is what maintains the magical balance of this entire world."
"And all our friends are stuck on one of those floating islands?" Trish asked.
"Yes, they are on one very close to Extalia." Carla confirmed. "Both Extalia and the Lacrima containing our friends are floating in the sky just above the Royal City which is where we are now."
"The Royal Army is planning on hitting the floating island with a whole bunch of Dragon Slayer magic." Wendy explained. "They are going to speed it up so that it'll crash directly into Extalia."
Lucy and Lisanna's eyes both shook; while Dante, Trish, Grey, and Modeus looked serious.
"And what happens next?" Dante asked.
"They're saying once their powers collide, it's going to create a giant explosion in the sky, and their magic will fuse together! Then magic will rain down on the kingdom forever!"
"No way…" Lisanna breathed.
"But if that happens… then our guild mates will…" Lucy stuttered.
"Be lost forever!" Grey finished.
Dante clenched his fist in anger. "That's not going to happen!" He exclaimed, getting the group's attention. "I don't give a shit about the Exceeds, but that I'll be damned if that old prick lays a hand on my friends!"
"Then let us stop him." Modeus said as he took his X-pill and swallowed it; Dante swallowed his as well.
At first, Modeus began to glow as a grey and white light aura surrounded his body. Above him, a magic symbol of a crescent moon appeared before it vanished. His eyes opened.
"My power has returned."
Right when he said that, a small red wind picked up around Dante as well. The scythe that is Nevan, and the nunchucks that we're Cerberus, began to glow purple and cyan as they turned into orbs of their respective colors and left Modeus' person; while Agni and Rudra each began to glow red and blue respectively as they each became orbs as well. The power had returned to the Devil Arms as Dante felt his own power return. As the orbs began to surround Dante in circles, a red aura formed around him. The orbs flew into him as the red aura exploded in a flash of red light; forcing the group to shield their eyes. The dust cleared and Dante stood with his full power returned.
"Lets get going."
They then heard a series of footsteps coming from the door that led back to the hallway.
"Heads up guys, we got company!" Trish stated as she pulled out her guns, as did Dante, and they pointed them to the doorway as Grey also prepared a spell; and Modeus stood protectively in front of Wendy, Carla, Lisanna, and Lucy.
But it turned out to be Natsu screaming in terror. "What the… Natsu?!" Dante questioned.
Natsu looked like he'd seen a ghost as he comically spun around in fear. "Did you see that!? THERE WE'RE TWO ERZAS! As if one wasn't enough, it's terrifying!"
Natsu had no doubt seen the still on-going fight between Erza Scarlet and Erza Knightwalker.
"A SHOWDOWN BETWEEN THOSE TWO MONSTERS?! IF THAT'S THE CASE THEN THE WORLD IS DOOMED I TELL YA!"
Natsu's ranting stopped when his eyes set on a certain ice-wizard.
"ARE YOU MY GREY OR WEIRD-GREY!" Natsu questioned; still in his terrified-mode.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but if you don't cool it you're gonna get a right hook to the face you pyro." Grey replied coolly.
"He's our Grey, Natsu." Dante told him.
"IT'S YOU!?"
"Yeah, a whole bunch of stuff happened and now we're here; Erza, Gajeel, and Lady as well." Trish pointed out.
"Oh Trish, when did you get here?" Natsu asked.
"I just answered you, stupid." Trish replied as she sweat-dropped.
"Natsu, do you know what's going on?" Modeus asked.
Natsu became serious. "Yeah I know. The Royal Army wants to drive our friends into Extalia, and I ain't gonna let that happen!"
"It's not as simple as that; our situation is far much more complicated." Modeus replied.
"How so?" Grey asked.
"Well for starters, there's a demon here in Edolas named Nelo Angelo who's been using the King and his cronies for a while now." Dante stated.
This caught Grey and Trish both by surprise. "What?! A demon!?" Trish questioned.
"I thought demons don't exist here in Edolas!" Grey stated in surprise as well.
"They don't." Dante began to explain. "The Demon Emperor, Mundus, sent Nelo Angelo here. The Royal Army thinks he's working with them; but he's really just using them to open a portal to the Demon World and invade Edolas."
"Wait… are you serious!?" Grey questioned.
"Yeah, I was shocked when I first heard that myself." Lucy said.
An idea came to Lisanna. "Hey, you don't think he can somehow use the plan with the Lacrima and Extalia to help him with that, do you?"
Modeus then began to think. "Maybe… if he opened an Anima portal to the Demon World, right at the same spot and time where the Lacrima island would collide with Extalia; then theoretically the resulting explosion of Magic Power would have enough physical force to completely tear a hole into the Demon World."
"And considering how low Edolas is in terms of magic power, they'd be completely defenseless." Dante finished.
It was a bit silent as the group let this new information sink in. "Our situation just got a whole lot more complicated." Trish guessed.
Natsu angrily punched a rock, getting the group's attention. "We don't have time for this! It doesn't matter if its Nelo Angelo or the Royal Army, our friends are in danger and we ain't gonna leave em like this!" Natsu's fist lit on fire. "Our magic is back, I'd say we find Nelo Angelo and kill him!"
While Wendy, Lisanna, and Lucy looked shocked at Natsu's statement; Dante smirked. "Natsu, that sounds like a good idea."
"It does?" Lucy questioned.
"Yeah, think about it." Dante said. "Nelo Angelo is such a big shot here cause he's the only one who has real demonic power; and the people in Edolas only have magic weapons and their magic is limited. Our power isn't. If we all gang up on him; we'll take that bastard out, and end the demon-threat to Edolas for good."
"Sounds like a plan." Trish said with a smirk.
"While defeating Nelo Angelo would indeed stop the looming shadow of the Demon World over Edolas, it will not stop the King's plan that still endangers all our friends trapped inside the Lacrima." Carla pointed out.
"Perhaps there's a way we can kill two birds with one stone." Modeus guessed. "If we move now, and all work together, we should be able to end both threats."
"Plus; Happy is taking Lady and Gajeel to the lacrima right now; they should be able to help to." Trish added.
"Alright; we got a plan, lets go kick some ass!" Dante stated.
As they talked; something was bugging Lisanna's mind. She had been keeping a secret from all of them; and with what is going on, she wanted to help them, but in her present state there would only be so much they can do. It was time to clear the air.
"Hey, guys, there's something I need to tell all of you." Lisanna began, getting the whole group's attention. "I… may need one of those X-balls to."
This confused most of the group. "Why would you need one?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, you're from Edolas right? It wouldn't work with you." Trish added.
"That's not entirely true." Lisanna replied; confusing most of the group, save for Dante who had a knowing look on his face. Lisanna took a deep breath. "I'm… not from Edolas. I was born in Earthland."
That caught almost everyone by shock, but no words could describe the shock that was present on Natsu's face.
Grey was the first to speak. "Wait… you're… our Lisanna?!"
All she could do was nod.
"Yep, I had a feeling that would be the case." Dante stated; causing the group to look at him in even greater shock; even more so from Lisanna.
"You knew?!" Lisanna exclaimed in surprise.
"I had a guess." Dante explained. "It wasn't that hard to figure out, you volunteered to help us when the rest of the Fairy Tail here in Edolas didn't. You had multiple chances to turn back, but you still stuck with us. I didn't know for sure, but I had a general idea that you weren't exactly who you said you we're."
"But this is impossible!" Grey stated while the group was still surprised and Natsu remained speechless. "You can't be our Lisanna! She died!"
"No… I didn't die that day." Lisanna replied. "It's a long story, but we don't have time to talk right now! We need to hurry! So please, give me one of those X-balls and I can help you!"
"This is quite a bit to take in." Modeus pointed out. "But she has a point, time is currently against us."
"Hold on a moment." Carla pointed out. "If you are really the Lisanna from Earthland, how come you didn't say anything before?"
"Like I said, it's a long story and we don't have time!"
"That sounds a bit suspicious to me. And you only choose now to say something?" Trish questioned as well.
Before anyone else can say anything. "Stop!" They all looked to the person who said that. Natsu Dragneel walked closer to Lisanna, they we're a few inches apart and both looked into each other's eyes. Once Natsu got a good enough look, he had a small smile on his face.
"Yeah, its her."
Lucy, Grey, Wendy, Carla, Trish, and Modeus we're slightly surprised. Dante however was not.
"Are you sure Natsu?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure." Natsu replied. He turned to her. "Okay, you obviously have a lot of explaining to do, but how about we take care of it after we beat up the bad guys. Deal?" He finished with a smile.
Lisanna returned the smile. "Deal."
"Trish, give her an X-ball." Natsu told her. Trish then tossed Lisanna an X-ball, which she took and swallowed. She could feel her magic power returning. It had been so long, almost two years since she felt her Earthland magic. She felt Natsu putting a hand on her shoulder.
"It's good to have you back."
Dante then spoke up. "Come one folks; we got a demon to slay, and a king to dethrone."
"Yeah!" Most of the group said as they all ran down the hall.
"Natsu, can you track Nelo Angelo's scent?" Dante asked him.
Natsu took a few whiffs. "Yeah, I think so. He's close." He turned down one hall. "This way!"
"Wait, what about Erza? We can't just leave her!" Lucy stated.
"Really? You want to get in the middle of a death-match between two Erzas?" Trish questioned.
A comically haunting image of Erza Scarlet and Erza Knightwalker clashing entered Lucy's mind and her body shivered. "Good point."
Natsu then proceeded to lead Dante, Modeus, Lucy, Lisanna, and Grey down the hall to find Nelo Angelo and end him. Trish was about to follow, but noticed Wendy staying behind with Carla.
"Hey kiddo, you coming?" Trish asked.
Wendy shook her head briefly. "I'm sure Natsu and Dante can handle Nelo Angelo." She then turned to the white Exceed near her. "Carla, I think we should head to Extalia."
That caught both Trish and Carla by surprise. "Saywha?" Trish questioned.
"That's foolish!" Carla exclaimed.
Wendy then turned around to Carla. "We need to warn them about Nelo Angelo and the Royal Army's plans and help them escape!"
"Why would we need to?" Trish questioned. "If we take down the guys down here, there'd be no need to."
"Yes, Trish is correct. There is absolutely no need to go there!" Carla said.
"There's no way we can let either Nelo Angelo or the King do whatever they want!" Wendy argued. "I know Dante, Natsu, and the others will stop them! But what if they have other weapons we don't know anything about?! This is the only chance we have to warn them! They have the right to know they're citizens could be in danger!"
Trish was mildly surprised. "You know, you actually have a good point Wendy."
Carla wouldn't have any of this. "No! No!" She shook her head emotionally. "I'm not going back! I couldn't care less what happens to those horrible creatures!"
Trish found herself quite surprised by that. "Whoa. What did they do to make you hate them so much?"
"Trust me, if you we're there, you'd understand why." Carla said as her head hung down. "Those horrible beings are not too different from the demonic monsters you and Dante fight."
Wendy kneeled down to Carla's level. "You know this has nothing to do with being human, exceed, or demon."
Meanwhile; Erza Scarlet, still clad in her Flame Empress Armor, continued to clash against Erza Knightwalker. Whenever they're weapons made contact, it created shockwaves, which rocked the entire chamber. Both Erzas gave it their all, and neither one showed any sign of slowing down.
At the same time; Natsu continued to lead Dante, Lucy, Grey, Lisanna, and Modeus. Happy continued to carry Lady through the streets, while Gajeel continued to wreak havoc on a large group of Edolas Royal Soldiers.
"If there's something we can do as fellow living beings, then we have to do it." Wendy continued as both Carla and Trish continued to listen to her.
"Save the Exceeds?" Carla wondered.
"I get there's something you don't like about these Exceeds, but I don't think they're all bad right?" Trish asked. "I mean, not all demons are evil. Just take a look at Dante, or his father, or Modeus. It doesn't matter what you're born as, it's the kind of person that you choose to be that's what's important."
When Trish said that, Carla's mind remembered when she met Lucky and Mar with Happy on their farm. Despite how highly egotistical most of the Exceeds in Extalia we're, those two took Happy and Carla in when they we're running and scared; they we're kind and gentle.
"I promise I'll always be right by your side, no need to be afraid." Wendy promised with a smile.
"Tell you what, I'll go to." Trish added. "Just in case." She gave her own smirk as well.
"Fine, I'll go."
Outside in the Royal City
Happy hung onto Lady as they flew down the streets. They spotted the commotion that was taking place ahead.
"I'd say we found our man." Lady pointed out as they saw a certain Iron Dragon Slayer beating up the soldiers around him.
"Gajeel!" Happy called out.
Gajeel had punched out a soldier as he saw the two come in. "Hey, great to see ya guys."
"Sorry to interrupt your little play-date Metalhead, but we got work to do." Lady said.
"Yeah, I know where they're keeping the giant Lacrima and I'm gonna take you and Lady there!" Happy added.
Happy still carried Lady, but Lady picked up Gajeel underneath his arms and Happy flew both straight up into the sky.
"Hey, watch it!" Gajeel complained, not liking being suddenly carried off.
"Did you have to do anything special to turn Lady here back to normal with Erza and Grey?" Happy asked.
Gajeel smirked. "I just had to smash it with Dragon Slayer Magic."
"Really? That's it?" Lady questioned.
"Yep, simple enough." Gajeel replied as Happy flew the two straight towards the floating Lacrima Island.
"How'd you know it would work?" Happy asked.
"I just did what Mystogen told me." Gajeel replied.
"So is Mystogen somewhere here in Edolas?" Lady asked.
"Don't have a clue." Gajeel answered.
The group made it to the floating Lacrima Island where Happy dropped Gajeel and Lady on the rocky surface that surrounded the rock. Happy sighed a bit; flying two people was a lot harder than one.
"Wow. That's one big rock." Lady said, her eyes wide at the huge Lacrima.
"'Big'? That damn thing is huge!" Gajeel added.
"It's gotta be ten-times bigger than the one we say before!" Happy exclaimed.
Gajeel gave a cocky smirk. "Of course it is, talk about a high-maintenance guild."
"Tell me about it." Lady agreed. "Now get to work on that thing; I'll watch your back." She took out her large bazooka and kept a lookout for anyone who would try to stop them from freeing their friends.
Gajeel's stomach growled. "I expect all the iron I can eat when we get back."
"You can have as much as you want" Happy promised.
Lady spotted something out of the corner of her eye. "LOOK OUT!" She tackled Gajeel and Happy out of the way as something smashed into the ground of where they previously stood.
The dust cleared as the three got up to see a certain large flying exceed with an even bigger weapon.
"That cat's got a major sword!" Gajeel exclaimed.
"It's even bigger than Dante's!" Lady added. "Just who is this freak?!"
Happy however gave a gasp as he recognized this new foe. "Not you again!"
Gajeel and Lady both stood up to face the enemy as he showed off his wings. "I am the Royal Army's First Magic Warfare Unit Captain. I am Panther-Lilly!"
"Nice to meet ya furball." Lady said in obvious sarcasm. "Now go find a ball of yarn and get lost; we're working here!"
"No can do ma'am." Panther-Lilly replied. "My current operation is dependent on this lacrima! Make one wrong move, and you're dead!"
Happy looked shocked. "Those wings, does that mean he's an Exceed to?"
Lady sighed. "I knew this seemed too easy."
"We don't have time for this!" Gajeel stated as his arm began to glow. "Iron Dragon Sword!"
Gajeel launched his right arm forward, extending a metal blade, which Panther-Lilly was able to avoid. Lady used this to shoot a rocket from her bazooka right at Panther-Lilly, but he used his massive sword to slice through the rocket. Both halves flew past him before they exploded a distance away.
Lady looked surprised. "You've gotta be kidding me."
Lilly's sword began to glow. "Bustermarm!" Somehow the sword seemed to grow even bigger as Lilly slashed down with it. While Lady, Happy, and Gajeel we're able to avoid it; a large chunk of the rock surrounding the lacrima was severed and fell from the sky.
"Man, and I thought Dante's sword was overkill." Happy stated as he fell on the rocky ground with wide white circles for eyes.
Lady and Gajeel recovered and glared at the large flying Exceed that was opposing them.
"Valiant effort." Lilly admitted. "But you will not defeat me."
"We'll see about that." Lady replied.
Royal Castle
Natsu continued to lead his group as he followed Nelo Angelo's scent as they we're running through a hallway on the side of the castle.
"Any idea where this guy is hiding?" Dante questioned. "We're on a time-limit."
"No clue, but we're getting close." Natsu replied. "That freak's stink is getting bigger."
"Don't make me guess here, just what exactly can this Nelo Angelo guy do?" Grey asked.
"He's one of the most powerful guys I've ever seen." Lisanna replied. "He alone destroyed most of the guilds in this world; he even killed the master of the Edolas Fairy Tail. He's like a one-man-army."
"But he hasn't faced anything like us before." Dante stated.
"Something is most odd about this castle." Modeus stated. "It doesn't feel like any of the ones I've seen in Earthland."
"Yeah you got a point there, Modeus." Lucy agreed. "The cells are way up high and the courtyard is really complex."
"I know this castle's layout is weird, but is it really that crazy?" Grey asked.
"Probably." Dante replied. "This whole world is bat-shit crazy! And I've been in the Demon World more than once."
Lucy sighed. "Dante's right. It's nothing like in Earthland. I wouldn't be surprised if they we're hiding an amusement park in here."
Natsu followed the Black Angel's scent inside the castle to a massive chamber. Grey was able to catch up to him and they both came to a stop at something that surprised them both.
"There is one!" They both exclaimed at the same time with wide eyes and dropped mouths.
"What are you guys…?" Dante questioned as he and the others caught up; but all of them stopped at the sight of what stood before them. "You've gotta be freaking kidding me."
Dante, Natsu, Lisanna, Lucy, Grey, even Modeus had the exact same eye widening and dropped-mouth expressions as they came to the gate of an actual amusement park.
"I was just kidding!" Lucy comically exclaimed.
"E-Land?" Modeus read the sign of the gate in confusion.
"What the… ?! This King is a total nutjob!" Natsu said.
"This… is… just wrong." Lisanna stated.
"This whacko King actually put a carnival in his castle?" Dante questioned. "Okay, even I know this ain't right."
Grey was the first to regain his demeanor. "Hey, you're still following that scent, right Natsu?"
Natsu got serious once more as he sniffed the air again. "Yeah, he's in there! I can smell em."
"Then lets not keep him waiting." Dante said as they entered E-Land.
The group walked around the park and it had virtually every ride and attraction one could find at an amusement park; roller coasters, a haunted house, a merry-go-round, a Viking's boat, a planetarium, even an artificial volcano.
It was dead quiet. Lisanna shivered a bit. "Okay… this place creeps me out."
Modeus looked around. "Keep on guard, he's hiding here somewhere."
"Why would I be hiding?"
The group turned to the sound of the voice to a shaded area. The shadows began to clear to reveal the armored yellow-eyed demon, the Black Angel, Nelo Angelo. He stood with his sword sheathed in his back underneath his cape, facing the group of Fairy Tail wizards.
"Please do not mistake my patience for cowardice. I was starting to get bored waiting for all of you."
"You we're expecting us?" Modeus questioned.
"Indeed."
"So, that's him?" Grey asked.
"That's him alright. Nelo Angelo." Lisanna confirmed.
The Black Angel looked at the group. "There's something different about you Dante, you and all your friends. Could it be that your power has been restored?"
Dante smirked. "Well, you called it."
"Excellent." Nelo Angelo smirked underneath his mask. "Hunting powerless prey these last few years have been growing quite dull. Hopefully you can provide us with more amusement now that you each can use your magic."
"Wait… 'us'?" Natsu questioned.
Once that was said; many of the lights on the rides came on as some of the rides in E-Land started to work. The first one they noticed was a merry-go-round on the heroes' left side.
"Hmm. I just love caracals." Sugarboy said as he rode on one of the rides of the merry-go-round with a laugh. "They're so much fun, wanna give it a try?"
There was a loud sound behind them; the group moved out of the way as a Viking Boat ride came to life; with Hughes standing on the end of it as it rocked back and forth.
"Who knew that having unlimited magic power could be such a blast. It really sucks that we're close to running out of it for good." Hughes said.
"Closer than you guys think." Natsu stated.
"You two have to listen!" Lucy tried. "Nelo Angelo isn't helping Edolas gain unlimited magical power!" As she talks, the Black Angel merely smiles. "He's using you guys! The only one he's really helping is himself!"
Hughes and Sugarboy both looked slightly confused at what Lucy just said.
"That's not entirely true." Nelo Angelo began as he walked in-between the two active rides and closer to the main group of heroes. "I am helping someone other than myself; my true master, the Demon Emperor Mundus. Tricking and manipulating the fool Faust and his followers have all just been part of that plan."
That caught both the Magic Warfare Unit Captains' attention. "What?" Sugarboy questioned as he got off the merry-go-round and looked surprised to Nelo Angelo from behind.
"Wait… what?!" Hughes questioned as well in a surprised and angry tone.
Nelo Angelo's yellow eyes flashed as he quickly took out his sword and it lit with dark lightning. He turned around with a slice that sent a large arc of dark lightning right at the shocked Hughes and Sugarboy. The blast hit them dead on and sent them crashing into a nearby wall.
Lisanna and Lucy looked shocked at that while Natsu, Grey, Dante, and Modeus all glared.
Nelo Angelo gave a slight chuckle. "I've wanted to do that within five minutes of knowing those two."
Dante drew Rebellion as Natsu's hands lit on fire. Grey placed a hand on his palm, while Lucy drew her one of her keys. They, as well as Lisanna and Modeus all glared at the Nelo Angelo; as did Hughes and Sugarboy who recovered from their attack.
"It is inevitable, Edolas will fall to my dark lord and master! But before that happens, I will now show you all how I earned the title of the Black Angel!"
Done.
Once again, I deeply apologize for making you guys wait so long. School and work take top priority for me. And now I promise to have at least one or two chapters posted a month, so now we have a program to follow.
The battle of Edolas has begun. While Wendy, Trish, and Carla go on to warn the Exceeds; Gajeel, Lady, and Happy face off with Panther-Lilly.
And in E-Land erupts a three-way clash between three different opposing forces: Natsu, Dante, Lisanna, Grey, Lucy, and Modeus of Earthland's Fairy Tail vs. The Edolas Captains Hughes and Sugarboy vs. Nelo Angelo, who has revealed his true colors.
(No the forces of Fairy Tail and Edolas will not be teaming up against him; it's a three-way battle here).
