Author Note
First of all, I am quite thrilled to see that everyone (those who commented anyway) enjoyed last chapter. I was not sure if the readers would enjoy the slight shift in the Grail's perceptions. Which I am happy. Also, Shirou becoming a medic was approved. It was indeed an idea I had to allow him to save people without throwing his life away.
Now, about the reviews in general enjoyed with the exception of a key factor that was Arturia's lance. Some pointed it out that the Lance was actually in the hands of a magus called Grey in another story. I do not know if the Fates are linked or not. But, this story is solely based on Fate and FSN, hence why even after the reviews pointing it out, I had decided to maintain Rhongomyniad with Arturia. Plus, in Fate Grand Order, the lance was with Lancer Arturia. So, yes, there are many branches of the Fate series, and none of them are linked with the exception of Fate Zero and Fate Series (FSN).
Also, to those that asked about Ilya and Sakura not being mentioned, in this chapter, I briefly mention them in passing.
Now, without further a due, let us continue with the chapter.
This chapter marks the beginning of Part II as we will join the world of Fate Apocrypha. Yes, before anyone starts, I know that the storyline is completely different from FSN or Fate as it involves the end of the Third Grail War in Fuyuki. So, aside from that, I will be going through the story of Fate Apocrypha while placing Arturia and Shirou into the mix. This chapter will place a time-skip of five years and will serve as a bridge to throw them into the events in Romania, with a few twists of course.
I need to point out that this chapter will have a lemon scene at the end, but I had placed a small but very significant part of the story in it, so...
Fate: Sword and Arrow
Part II – Fate Aprocrypha
Chapter 11 – Married Life
Five years had passed since Shirou's graduation from school as we see Arturia sitting by their house's porch with her beloved's head resting on her lap. The memory of the fifth grail war and even their past traumas occurrences largely forgotten in their minds as many other fantastic new experiences overcame the bad ones. Their sparring clothes were somewhat ragged because of the act of heated lovemaking just minutes before, right there in the house's dojo after a quite extensive work-out. Arturia's mind was overwhelmed at how much pleasure Shirou was able to provide her, specially when their hormones kicked in right after their sword spar. Right now, Arturia's hands were busy gently caressing his red hair as she recalled their lives thus far.
Certainly, looking at the beautiful ring in her left hand helped the process of memory.
They got married a couple years ago right after Shirou had graduated from college. Normally, the medic course took more time to finish, but Shirou was highly dedicated to his studies, convincing his teachers that he could take some advanced classes at night. His dedication was mainly because of his desire to save others as fast as possible. Shirou now worked part time at the City's public hospital, mainly in attending ER patients. He did not seek a specialization, instead chosing to become a general physician to aid as many as possible. The reason being part-time was because he still wished to spend as much time as possible next to his wife. Arturia had known that being a medic, Shirou would be extremely busy attending to the wounded, but she also wished to spend as much time as possible with him.
Their marriage was a simple ceremony at the Ryuudou Temple with only their most trusted friends and family.
Taiga's family attended of course, Ayako with her husband too. The ceremony was conducted by Shirou's friend Issei, who now became the head priest of the Ryuudou Temple. They had even had a small wedding ceremony in London in a small catholic church, afterward. It was their honeymoon soon after and Shirou provided them a three-month vacation to the United Kingdom. Arturia did not have the words to appreciate her husband's gift. Throughout the time that Shirou was attending college, she had read tons of books and even taken a couple of history courses in Shirou's college. She learned a lot about what happened after her own downfall, but this trip allowed them to see the sights in her old country.
Shirou was just happy to see the look on her face as he listened to her teaching him about the many events and sights of her homeland.
She would tell him about how she met one by one of her knights. Shirou had learned about their personalities, their abilities, even their special quirks. Arturia was especially proud of what she created with their help. The knights of the round table were to this day her most proud achievement. Her knights managed to keep the peace in their land for many years. It was only until Lancelot's affair with her wife Guinevere surfaced that things started to unravel. Still, the times she spent with them, even the bad times, would be forever in her heart as the chivalry and camaraderie remained.
Even Guinevere had a special place in her heart, Shirou heard as the woman was perhaps her one true friend back in that time.
They spent a couple weeks in London touring the Royal Family's castles and then they went to Bristol, a city that had many archives and hidden locations from Arturia's time. She had paid special attention in her courses trying to locate the ruins of her city that she created when king but found only clues and leads. After that, they went to Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Throughout the trip, Arturia could see that her husband had learned plenty how to communicate with the locals. Ever since they first came to London, she had improved his English to the point that Shirou could follow a conversation with any native easily. Sure, he had no native tongue, but not even Arturia had. Her vocabulary was rather ancient, but her basis helped her fill in the gaps in modern language.
Eventually, though, Arturia dreaded but she had decided to stop at a specific place which made a lot of meaning to her history.
Glastonbury
Shirou asked if she was sure going there as they knew what they would find. Despite being a long time since Arturia thought about her past, Shirou feared that going there would make her remember the traumas of her past. Not to mention what he would suffer, going there. Despite that, she wished to go, still knowing that her mind would instantly go back in time. As such, when they appeared before a plaque in front of a small garden of flowers, Arturia flinched knowingly. Shirou had embraced her quickly as Arturia remembered the events that resulted in her death, or at least the death of King Arthur. How she had killed Mordred, but the knight of treachery used her sword to deliver the dying wound to her stomach. It later followed by her knight Bedivere taking her away to rest in a tree to die. That would be also Arturia Pendragon's fate, if she had not asked for a second change in life with her beloved.
Thus, in front of them was the assumed burial site of King Arthur.
"Are you okay, Turia?" She nodded with a sad smile at her husband. That was his nickname for her.
"I will be...thank you. It feels strange being here. It is hard to believe that I may have been today only a memory. A figure from the past. I have indeed come to terms with what happened, Shirou. To this day, I can't thank the heavens enough that you became my master in the fifth grail war. I shudder to think what would happen if anyone else became my master. No doubt, I would be stuck doing the Grail's bidding for all eternity, longing for a misguided dream. You have allowed me to come in terms with my past. Thanks to you, I now have an opportunity to leave my life without the constraints or the responsibilities of being a King. I think...I think that my family is looking down upon me knowing that I have made the right decision. I could not be happier, and I thank you for that." Arturia then buried her face in Shirou's chest as the man enveloped his wife. She always enjoyed being hugged by him.
Shirou, for his part, felt his chest tighten as he saw the burial site.
Just imagining what his life would be like if he did not have his wife there with him, to hold her in his arms. To think about the possibility of her going back to her timeline, instead of being his wife…Shirou could feel excruciating pain and Arturia did not need their link anymore to reach out for her husband's face, before kissing him. For she knew what he was thinking, and she also thought along the same lines. After all, it was rather hard to figure out when had she ever been this happy before in her life.
"There is no doubt in my mind, Turia, that both your family and your knights are looking down upon you in approval. They wouldn't want you to suffer anymore."
The only good thing was that Shirou had purchased some ingredients to prepare them a nice picnic. Aside from her burial site, this place was rather beautiful, and the sights reminded her of the open fields of her time.
That was perhaps the only sad moment they had throughout their honeymoon trip.
Arturia was specifically ecstatic one time when they found a zoo in the city of Glasgow. While she was averse to the notion of animals living trapped like that, instead of in the wild, she observed a section where a bunch of little lion cubs were playing with the local kids. She knelled next to one and played with him for hours on end, none the wiser that the cub's mother was looking at her threateningly. Of course, Shirou was not surprised when Arturia had approached the cub's mother and subdued the lioness's ferocity. The members of the zoo looked in awe at how this woman was caressing the lioness's head like that, though they had to convince Arturia that she could not take one of the cubs with her back home.
The couple had travelled to many countries together after their honeymoon. Shirou would occasionally enlist his services to the Red Cross, so they had been to Africa a couple times and Arturia would be there by her husband's side, aiding him in whatever he needed to tend to the wounded. Just seeing how elated her husband was at helping the local population had brought joy in her life. They could not have found a better career for Shirou to satisfy his dream of being able to save as many as possible. Of course, as far as medicine was involved, Shirou would not be a miracle worker. And Shirou understood that, much to her relief. There will be times when he will not be able to help, because the patient is too injured or too sick. The body thus did not have the strength sometimes to allow medicine to heal. And using healing mage craft was out of the question.
Not only because it would alert the magus association, but also because healing mage craft would at best give the patient more time but would not cure.
And more time meant more suffering and that Shirou would not do.
They had also run into some problems with the local militia, but nothing that the sword and arrow duo could not handle. Still, it would not be best to linger a lot as they had not run into any magus there. Shirou would then compensate Arturia after those trips by taking her across other European countries and even one time in the United States when he attended a conference there about emerging response treatments.
The attacks on them from the magus families subsided and all thanks to Rin in the end.
Tohsaka Rin had finished her three-year course in the Magus Association and decided to return home to take care of her family's assets. Sakura had opted to remain in England as she was enrolled into Oxford. While in London, Rin had learned a lot and even associated with some influential nobles there such as Waver Velvet or Lord El-Melloi II and even Zelretch, one of the Dead Apostiles who held great influence in the magus society. Rin had talked to both Waver and Zelretch to stop others from attacking Shirou, just because of his role in the war. Shirou was surprised that she did that, considering that he did not see why she would do such a thing. Later he knew that while he was not considered a personal friend of Rin's, Arturia was.
Of course, the former King of Britain would never tell her real identity to Rin.
She understood from Shirou that if the Magus Association found out, then probably they would attempt to capture her.
When Rin returned from London one time, she had run into Ayako who introduced her to Arturia. Rin remembered her from Sakura's story that she was from England and was had even married Shirou. Arturia had told that while she was not a magus, she, like her husband, was a fighter who used magic to augment her skills. From that point forward, Arturia and Rin became friends who would on occasion go out to lunch. Then Arturia explained about the attacks and wondered if Rin could do something about it. Well, turned out that this guy Zelretch had too much say in the Magus Association and helped dissuade the families from attacking Shirou and Arturia.
It was not to say that neither of them could take whatever enemies that dared to face them, it was just that the couple truly wished to have a peaceful life together.
In terms of magic, both Arturia and Shirou trained and improved on their abilities. Shirou had perfected the usage of healing mage craft and with the help of Avalon, there was nothing he could not heal, even curses. Regarding his projection and reinforcement, it became easier than breathing. So much so, that Shirou had a great arsenal of weapons to switch from and even summon at the same time if he so wished. The noble phantasms his mind had acquired he could summon them at ease, without straining his magic circuits. Arturia's ability were more focused on her mana burst and energy attacks with her sword and holy lance. Her skills with wind attacks skyrocketed not only with Excalibur, but also with the Lance. So much so, that she had improved on using wind to obscure their weapons entirely.
That was also a necessity in their case. If anyone saw those weapons, her identity would be revealed to the magus association.
Her agility still topped Shirou's because of her expert usage of mana burst. Shirou was surprised at how skilled she was with the Holy Lance and Excalibur.
To this day, he was not able to win their spars, even if Shirou had improved his skills. In a straight combat, she would win every time.
Back to the present, as Arturia stroke his red hair, as Shirou then reached her face with his hand, freeing a strand of hair from her forehand. The now adult medic looked at her smiling face with utmost contentment. This past seven years were the best in his life and he often wondered what he did to deserve such happiness. Since the fire in Fuyuki, Shirou had developed the notion that he did not deserve to have happiness in his life, simply because of those who perished in the event. Certainly, he had received an earful from both Ayako and Arturia too many times, before he was convinced that yes, he did deserve happiness. And he got everything he ever wished for in his beloved wife's arms.
Arturia had been with him every step of the way, each supporting one another through their lives' many obstacles.
She stood by him, helping to take care of the house chores when he had to study for college. She stood by him when he had found out that Ilya had died. Shirou had come to know about her true nature and even if he realized that she did not have a long-life span, it still hurt to lose her. Even if they had only met in the grail war, Ilya was still considered his stepsister. He for sure will cherish the love of his life with everything she ever desired, because she has given him so much. Today was Shirou's off day as he had worked extra hours two days ago because of a train accident. That meant that he would enjoy every minute next to his wife.
Because of this, they had slept late and trained close to lunch hour.
They would have lunch afterward, but well…after sparring, their hormones would kick in. He could hear their stomachs complaining about being left behind.
"How about I cook some lunch, Turia?"
She was blushing as well at the complaint. One thing that never changed was Arturia's craving for his food. At first, it was believed that as a servant, she was able to process more food, but seeing as they had worked out a lot of calories both in training and in…other activities, she could very well eat the same amount and be merely satisfied. Also, with Shirou's medical knowledge, he was able to better prepare their meals, using lighter ingredients without losing the taste. Soon, the couple was in the kitchen as Arturia served some tea while she almost danced to the noises her husband made in the kitchen. No matter how much time passed, Shirou always enjoyed cooking for her and even when they had people over some time.
And Arturia yearned for his cooking as much as she yearned for his love for her in all manners possible.
"Shirou, about that tragic accident, was there any casualties?"
He was just finishing his cooking when turning to see her standing by the counter, gathering some plates.
"From the twenty-five injured, only two whose injuries were beyond healing. Thankfully, I was able to heal the victims that came to me. I will tell you that one of them was very injured. A woman of forty years old. She had internal bleeding and her lungs were having trouble functioning properly. My chief managed to contain the internal bleeding and I was able to repair the lungs in time. A couple minutes and she would have choked to death." Arturia could tell how proud he was at being able to save his patient. It brought joy to her heart to see him coming home with a smile of elation on his face.
"I'm glad to hear that…did they find the cause of the accident?"
"One of the trains was going too fast and derailed from the track." Arturia was never a fan of those big transportations, no matter how many times she had embarked on trains and airplanes. Simply put, depending on the accident, it would be impossible to escape from, even if they had skills far superior than normal human beings. Hence why she preferred either Shirou's car of her own motorcycle. At least, they would be better able to control in case of an imminent accident. Thinking of her motorcycle, she remembered something.
"Shirou, after we finish lunch, could you take a look at my motorcycle?"
Arturia pouted and crossed her arms in defiance, when she heard a snort coming from the kitchen. "Hey, it's not my fault...if I could use mana openly, then I wouldn't need to worry about controlling speed while making a curve." Shirou had purchased a new Yamaha V-Max for her once she had destroyed Raiga's bike. Though to this day, Arturia would deny any guilt and simply say that she was cut off by an insolent cab driver who did not signal properly. The scene was rather comical when the old geezer simply looked at the sight of the destructed bike and Arturia torn between apologizing to the man and blaming the damn cab driver.
In the end, old man Raiga was more amused than angry.
After Shirou had became their designated mechanic, the family had saved a bunch load of money in spare parts and services. Shirou would even receive part of the amount that Raiga saved, which complemented the Emiya family's income nicely. In the end, Shirou purchased the damaged bike from Raiga and used it as a nice hobby to fix it. He resold it and thus was able to purchase a new one to Arturia for her birthday. To this day, he could remember the joy in her face as she saw the potent riding machine, just begging to be ridden.
"Sure, I will take a look…though perhaps we may need to use reinforcement magic in the suspension and perhaps project a second braking system. I wouldn't be a nice husband if I impeded your night rides, huh?"
Her husband's projection and reinforcement magic were extremely helpful in day to day situation.
She surely enjoyed to just fire away the engine and ride throughout the city at night, while she waited for Shirou to finish his shifts at the hospital.
"It is much appreciated, Shirou." Her husband smiled at her pleasant visage while distributing the dishes on the table.
===Next day===
Fuyuki's Public Hospital was a frenzy as people of all sorts would circulate.
Relatives would come to visit their loved ones.
Patients would be brought here for treatment by the city's ambulances. The paramedics would try their best to keep the patient's stable moments before arriving at the hospital to be treated.
Medics and nurses would come in the early morning for the first shift and then be replaced by the afternoon shift's staff. The afternoon shift would go until eight o' clock until a third staff would come and finish the night.
It was already close to eight o' clock in the hospital and Emiya Shirou was busy finishing his rounds of patients as he looked at the clock. When the due time arrived, he released a sigh in relaxation at another eventful day of work. He learned from the older doctors to appreciate the days when nothing major happened. Quickly changing his clothes to leave, he was approached by a couple of doctors outside the hospital. Shirou rarely indulged in happy hours after the job and even so, not once did he drink more than a beer or two. And the only times he ever did was when he knew that his wife was out with either Taiga, Rin or Ayako doing stuff together, either going to the movies or a late dinner.
"Emiya, how about we get some cold ones, tonight. It's on me." The one who spoke was two years Shirou's senior in the hospital called Akira.
Shirou could hear the distinguished sounds of his wife's bike speeding towards his location. From the speed, however, he sighed as the woman was abusing once more. Though the tweaks he did were more than enough for now. His projections lasted more, but they did not last forever.
"Can't tonight. My wife is about to arrive to pick me up."
Two minutes later, a shiny black and silver bike arrived in front of the group as they saw the rider dressed in black leather suit and paints. Arturia lifted the visor of her helmet and winked at her husband, before giving him his helmet. No sooner had Shirou positioned himself and hugged Arturia's waist region, she closed her helmet and accelerated the bike. The bike's back tire lifted smoke from the friction, before accelerating towards their house. Her two golden locks were impossible to keep it restrained inside the helmet and it gave him such a beautiful scenery that he could not take his eyes away from. Arturia turned her attention slightly from the road and saw her husband staring at her from the corner of her eyes. She just could not help but be mesmerized at being admired by her beloved.
It was something that she picked on by some modern magazines. While Arturia rarely indulged in those, her friend Ayako one day had pointed the theory out to her, that she was jealous of Arturia because of it.
Ayako often pointed out that Shirou would always look at Arturia with a passionate smile on his face.
And if felt heartwarming to enjoy such praise from the man she loved.
(Lemon Start)
As they entered inside the house's garage, Shirou dropped first and then Arturia as they both lifted their helmets. In no time, Shirou had come forward and landed a fierce kiss at his wife. Arturia welcome it instantly, wrapping her arms around him while returning the kiss. She could feel his hands slowly descend towards her bottom and acquiesced to the silent request. The couple quickly went to their room while making out throughout the way. Arturia flinched at the sudden feeling of his hands as he unzipped her leather jacket and opened revealing her well-defined chest only secured by a white top. Arturia did the same with Shirou's jacket and even started loosening his belt as images from their last time surfaced.
By the time they reached their bedroom, all of their clothes were already sprawled on the house.
Closing the door to their room, Shirou landed on their bed and Arturia landed on top of him, kissing him fiercely.
Their hands would feel each other's bodies while the couple started with their mouths. Arturia was the first to break the kiss and reach for Shirou's neck. She was delighted at the small moan she heard from him.
"Do you like that, master?" Shirou shivered when he heard the name calling. A couple years ago, Arturia had learned from a magazine about role-playing in bed. And she did not need to use her imagination as they really had a master servant relationship a long time ago. Even if by that time, it was not a sexual relationship (at least not at first), Arturia had quickly got into the role of being Shirou's servant. When they first tried, Shirou was surprised at how turned on she was playing the role. In turn, when she was turned on, then he was as well. It was quite impossible not to be, when a figure such as his wife whispered sexy talk close to his ear.
Of course, she would indulge him to call her 'Saber' instead of 'Arturia'. They were role-playing after all.
Shirou enjoyed feeling her tongue going through his body while her hands gently massaged his muscles. When she reached the waist region, Shirou could not hold himself and caressed her hair while she played with his member.
"Saber…"
She smiled deviously at the pleasure she was providing her master as she could feel her inner walls moist in trepidation. For as much as she enjoyed doing what she was doing, she knew that her master loved returning the favor.
True to her word, Shiro then grabbed her with a bit of force and laid her on the bed before he retuned the favor. Her eyes flipped and she released a moan in deep pleasure, both at the rather forceful act and the what her master was doing now. Oh, how she loved when he did that to her. Shirou's tongue, although gentle, had quite the reach as he methodically and sometimes randomly worked his magic on her inner thighs. Her nails were already scratching his backs for dear life as she released a low, but long moan, showing him how much she was enjoying it.
"Yes master, please don't stop…" He would indulge her every time and fastened the pace, even using his fingers on just the right places to completely take control of the situation. After a while doing that, she could feel her control loosening as her hands pulled his head forward, while screaming his name for dear life. Shirou could feel her body tremble in delight and he could feel his own hormones working its magic because of it. Quickly grabbing a condom, Shirou was surprised when a hand grabbed his wrist and he looked at his wife, smiling at him.
"No Shirou…let us do without tonight. I want you so badly." Shirou looked at her for a couple of seconds, as if answering the question and she knew what he was asking. "Yes, I want this…I want us to have a child together".
They had talked about this for a while now and Shirou could only smile at his wife as he leaned in for the kiss. Arturia could feel his body keeping her warm on the outside, but on the inside, she was already craving for him.
"Please master, do not torture me…" She could feel his member passing close to her inner walls and she shivered at the mere touch. When they were master and servant, there was no need to worry about being pregnant, but after she became human once more, unfortunately she could not feel him whole inside of her like she wished to. Now, there was no need to worry as they were ready for the next step. Shirou positioned his member, before seeing her craving look, begging him to go forward. He whispered close to her ear.
"How much do you want it Saber?"
"More than anything master, please…" It hurt for the first minute as she was not used to feeling him inside without a condom, but after that, it was pure bliss as she could feel his skin filling her whole on the inside.
Arturia opened her legs and enveloped her master's body as he went about his job slowly at first. She enjoyed him slowly increasing the pace instead of going fast and rough from the start. Shirou would be whispering words in her ear while pleasuring her deeply. All that Arturia could respond was moaning and begging her master for more. His hands were busy massaging her breasts. Arturia's mind just could not keep up with him both penetrating her, playing with her breasts and lick her neck. She could feel that he increased the pace with faster and strong strokes. Also, she could feel that he was about to reach his limit. She could feel her inner walls getting tighter, so she used a move of her own, already feeling another orgasm of her own, close to his.
"S…saber…I…"
"Yes master, give it to me." When the last thrust came, Shirou obliged his wife. She hugged him with all her intensity as they released orgasm together. She could feel her being filled just as she released her own in his member.
"Oh god…yesss…master…Shirou". Shirou would then lie on top of her to recover his breathing. Arturia was hugging him and passing her hands on his back. "I believe we should take a bath, master. I can clean you up if you like."
Shirou looked at her knowing where her intention was of continuing their night.
And so, the couple continued enjoying their night together.
Author Note
Okay, this chapter was merely an interlude of sorts and like I said, it served to make the bridge from FSN to Fate Aprocrypha.
One of the readers asked to march to Fate Grand Order so that Merlin could be in this story. However, Fate Grand Order is so much different than FSN that I chose a differente venue. Also, right now, unfortunately for the Fate readers, I will spend some time with some Naruto stories as I go back to the ideas board regarding how I can place Shirou and Arturia in Fate Aprocrypha world. I already have some ideas, but I am still stretching them to see if it fits.
So, please tell me your thoughts and any ideas would be most appreciated.
Until then, see ya.
