Hi everyone. I apologize for the lack of updates, I've hit a small case of writer's block for this story, but now I'm over it. I promise again to have at least one update a month, two at the most.
So, without further delay I present the next chapter for Fairy May Cry
Apocalyptic Dragon Chain Cannon

*Clash*
Erza Scarlet, still clad in her Flame Empress Armor clashed once again against her vile Edolas counterpart Erza Knightwalker. The two scarlet-haired warriors battle showed no signs of stopping as the massive chamber they we're in was falling apart at the seems of their battle.
The two glared at each other.
"We may share a face, and share a voice, but do we share the same skills in battle?" Knightwalker wondered.
"I was wondering that myself." Erza Scarlet replied. "Considering you're already slowing down."
This caught Knightwalker by surprise. "You didn't think I'd notice?" Erza Scarlet questioned. "When we both started it seemed we we're evenly matched, but it wasn't until recently you've begun to slow down, where as I don't feel too exhausted already. If I had to take a guess, I'd say your previous battle with Dante has left you somewhat fatigue before we even started."
Knightwalker glared, not just at Erza's correct assumption, but the mention of that one man whom previously humiliated her. "Don't get too overconfident, Scarlet! I'm still far from done. After I've defeated you, I'll gladly settle the score with that loathsome Dante."
Erza had a confident smirk on her face. "Good luck with that. Dante isn't one to be beaten by someone like you."
Both women assumed battle stances before making glaring eye contact with each other. In less than a second they both roared as they clashed yet again.
Extalia
The ever-arrogant Exceeds we're completely oblivious to the battles that we're taking place below them in the Royal Kingdom, as well as the dark shadow of the Demon World that loomed over them. There was one thing however that they did notice.
A small white female Exceed, previously labeled as a 'Fallen'; a young girl with blue hair; and a tall woman with blonde hair, wearing all black, and sporting a large sword and two guns on her person. The Exceeds could only look in surprise and confusion at not just the Exceed known as Carla, but both Wendy and Trish as well.
"Whoa its her again." A teenage blue male Exceed pointed out towards Carla.
"That no good Fallen." A middle-aged male orange Exceed grunted in agreement.
"And she's with some humans." A young male brown Exceed also pointed out at the sight of Trish and Wendy.
Other such comments came from the surrounding Exceeds as well.
"So gross."
"Those things are horrible."
"They're not supposed to be up here!"
"Oh, I just know this is going to be trouble."
"Hey humans! Go home!"
"This is wrong!"
"Humans don't belong up here."
Despite the disgusted looks and comments given toward them, Wendy wasn't at all deterred. Trish however looked around her, she could tell by the looks on their faces that this was going to be trouble. But it was something else in the air, these creatures may look like cats, but something about these Exceeds reminded her of many of the demons she's faced before, and it turned her stomach.
"Not even a full minute up here and I already can't stand the place." Trish commented. "I can see why you didn't want to come up here." She said towards Carla.
"I told you." Carla responded.
Despite this, Wendy was still determined to warn the Exceeds of the impending danger.
"Extalia's in serious danger. You have to let us talk to your queen right away."
It seemed like every Exceed in Extalia had gathered around Trish, Wendy, and Carla. One certain Exceed was trying to make his way through the crowd.
"Please! Clear a path!" Nabi exclaimed as he was popping up between many spots, getting closer to the center. "Excuse me!"
"Hey, its Sir Nabi!" One Exceed noticed.
"And just in time to."
Nabi, still somehow waving his arm, reached the center towards the three. "You three cannot be here! Fallens and Humans are forbidden from entering Extalia under any circumstances."
Trish had a knowing smirk, as she technically didn't fall under any of those categories. "Oh stuff it fur-ball, we don't have time for your high-strung crap."
Nabi was completely caught off-guard at how Trish just spoke to him; even the other Exceeds we're surprised as well.
"What did that human just say?!"
"Who does it think it is talking to Sir Nabi like that!?"
"You would be wise to hear us out." Carla told Nabi. "The lives of all your citizens hang in the balance."
"But how in the Queen's name did you escape Captain Nichiya and the Royal Guard?!" Nabi questioned.
"They we're turned into a lacrima by King Faust himself." Carla answered.
Trish could only wince as she had a feeling of what would come next, judging by what these Exceeds we're like. "Three, two, one."
At the end of her countdown, the Exceeds began to snicker before they exploded into full-blown laughter. While Wendy and Carla both looked surprise, Trish had her eyes closed in expectancy and disappointment.
"Of course." She sighed. As she opened her eyes, she looked in mild surprise when she caught the look of horror on Nabi's face.
"There's no way those stupid humans could beat the Extalian Royal Guard!" A female Exceed said with a laugh.
"Right?! What a load of kitty-litter!" A young Male Exceed laughed in agreement.
"I'm telling the truth!" Wendy exclaimed. "And it's not just King Faust, a monster named Nelo Angelo is coming to attack all of you!"
"Sure, whatever you say." The young brown Exceed from before said.
"The Queen will just zap all those pests away with her magic." The middle-aged orange male Exceed blew off.
"Like a bunch of bugs." The young blue male Exceed said in agreement.
Nabi's face was still struck with horror, but his look increased when he found out Trish had just noticed it. "You're hiding something, aren't you?" The lightning she-devil thought.
"I'm not kidding!" Wendy exclaimed. "You're going to get hurt if you don't evacuate right now!"
"You're gonna get hurt." A teenage Exceed stated as he picked up a rock and threw it at Wendy's head.
Trish looked in surprise. "Wendy!" Carla exclaimed.
With that, all the surrounding Exceeds began to pick up and throw multiple rocks at the three in the center.
"The Queen's magic is super strong!"
"Exceeds never run away from a fight!"
"Especially against a stupid human!"
"This is what you get Fallen!"
Other hate-filled slurs we're uttered as the Exceeds continued to throw rocks at them. Trish stood in front and took most of the rocks so that they wouldn't hit Wendy, who was covering herself along with Carla. The more slurs that we're uttered; the more it grained until Trish's nerves until finally she had enough of this.
"SHUT UP!"
Trish threw her hand straight up and sent a massive bolt of lightning straight into the air. The Exceeds immediately stopped throwing rocks and could look in silent shock at the sudden display of power. Even Nabi was more surprised than he was before. Wendy and Carla both looked in surprise at Trish as she faced the Exceeds with an angry look on her face.
"How… How did it do that?" One Exceed questioned.
"Humans don't have powers!" Another Exceed stated.
"What is it?! It must be… some kind of monster!" Another Exceed exclaimed.
"It takes one to know one." Trish stated as she glared at the Exceeds. "Listen up you overgrown Furballs! We came here to try and help you, I heard how high-strung all of you are, but after seeing you right now, I don't blame the Edolas Royal Army for what they're trying to do."
Wendy and Carla both looked towards Trish as she continued. "You all may look different but I've seen your kind of creatures all the time. Monsters who think they're above everyone else. You think you have the right to walk all over people, to treat them like bugs with no regard to the amount of suffering and pain you all cause!"
As she spoke, Trish was reminded of the many demons she fought against, including a certain white-haired, blue robed swordsman, and a three-eyed-god-like devil. Wendy looked towards Trish as she had a feeling she knew what she was talking about as well.
"Trish…" Wendy uttered to herself.
"So let me make myself perfectly clear." Trish said. "The threat you all face is real; but the choice is yours. You can either run and live, or stay and die. But if any of you want to hurt Wendy or Carla, I promise…" Trish took out her Sparda sword. "I'll take you all down myself, just like I've done the demons in my world!"
Lacrima Island
Meanwhile, Gajeel and Lady we're still duking it out with the challenging Panther-Lily. Lady clashed the blade on her rocket launcher against Panther-Lily's Bustermarm. As they struggled, Lady pulled out one of her pistols and shot towards Lily, but he was able to jump back to avoid the bullets.
"I have to admit, you're one of the strongest women I've ever had the pleasure of facing. I commend you on lasting this long."
"You know the old saying: Hell haft no fury like a woman pissed off." Lady smirked
Lily smirked back. "However, don't get too confident!" He flew straight at her at high speeds and slammed his elbow into her, sending her rolling and almost falling off the edge, but before she did, Gajeel caught her by the wrist.
"Thanks rivet-head." Lady thanked.
"Don't mention it." Gajeel replied, but Lady noticed something behind him.
"Watch out!" She warned.
Her warning came just in time as Lily swung Bustermarm horizontally, but Gajeel was able to block it with his arms. Lady looked in surprise, especially at the sound of metal clashing when she thought his arms would be sliced off.
"Gajeel!" Happy exclaimed in worry.
Gajeel and Lily struggled against each other as they glared. "Normally this sword could slice through iron as easily as it would butter. How are you able to stop it using only your bare hands?" Lily questioned.
"That's cause Iron-Dragon scales ain't made out of your everyday metal." Gajeel answered. "So you tell me, if you're one of them super-cats, why are you fighting for the other side?"
"That's right." Lady agreed as she got up. "Why are you fighting your own people?" She then just realized something. "Then again, it wouldn't be the first time." She remembered how she first met Dante and discovered how he was half-demon yet still fought against the Demon World, as did his father before him.
"Yeah." Happy shakily spoke up. "If you're an Exceed like I am… I'll bet you love fish." Happy shook and shivered like a scardey-cat as he reached into his pack behind. "I'll even give you one of mine."
"Sure, say that when you aren't completely terrified, cat." Lady commented with a sweatdrop.
Lily lifted his sword up as he spoke. "That choice was made long ago." Lady and Gajeel both paid attention as he continued. "I put that place behind me. A FOUL KINGDOM OF LIES!"
Lily slammed Bustermarm hard onto Gajeel, causing a crater and mild explosion of rock where he once stood. As it happened, Lady grabbed Happy and jumped out of the way to avoid getting caught up in it. However, it would appear that Gajeel had actually held back the blade as he crossed both his arms above him.
"A kingdom of lies?" Lady questioned.
"What did he mean by that?" Happy wondered.
Gajeel gave a chuckle as he held back the massive sword. "I'm guessing you didn't fit in there, did ya? I know all about that brother." The Iron Dragon Slayer recalled how he first joined Fairy Tail and it seemed like every person in the guild hated him from his previous affiliation with Phantom Lord.
A large smile formed on Gajeel's face. "You're alright by me!" Lily looked in shock as Gajeel's body began to glow. He poured his own power in as Bustermarm began to crack greatly. Gajeel laughed as he exploded his arms outward and completely broke apart the massive blade. "But I'm still making ya my cat!"
"WHAT?!" Lady and Happy exclaimed at the same time with white-wide-circles for eyes.
"He shattered my Bustermarm sword." Lily could not believe what just happened.
"This is my chance." Lady realized. She ran up and pointed her rocket launcher at the stunned Lily. "Get a load of this! Cat!"
Lady fired three rockets at him. Lily couldn't react in time as he instinctively crossed his arms to protect himself from the blast. The explosion and impact from the rockets caused him a great deal of pain.
"My turn!" Gajeel leaped onto the lacrima crystal itself as he jumped above the stunned Lily. He laid multiple punches across Lily's face. "Time to show you I'm stronger kitty!" Gajeel exclaimed with a wide smile as he punched Lily hard onto the ground.
"Whoa! It's like he got his butt-kicking switch turned on or something." Happy observed.
"Salamander and that little girl are gonna be so jealous of me! I might even make Dante green with envy! Iron Dragon Roar!" Gajeel unleashed his breath attack right on the downed Lily. An explosion could be seen from a distance on the Lacrima Island.
Gajeel jumped back towards Lady as he gave a joyous, and almost psychotic laugh.
"SUPER SCARY METAL MONSTER FACE!" Happy screamed as he was sent flying by the blast.
"There is something seriously wrong with you, you know that right?" Lady told Gajeel who could only smirk in her direction.
The smoke cleared and Lily could stand up. He threw away his shattered armor and cape as he glared at them.
"Big cat's still standing, after three rockets and your attack?" Lady spoke. She gave an impressed smile. "He could make a pretty kick-ass Devil Hunter."
Gajeel's smirk still remained present. "Yeah." He cracked his knuckles. "Now that's the spirit!" He spoke directly to Lily.
Lily brushed his armor as he was covered in a few scratches and burses. "You two are good."
Lady smiled as she threw away her rocket launcher and pistols. "Why don't we have some real fun?" She cracked her own knuckles.
Lily actually had his own anxious grin as he flew forward and punched Gajeel clear across the face. Lady came in and punched Lily across the face to before swinging her right leg in a roundhouse to his gut; but Lily caught her gut and pulled her into a punch to knock her back. Gajeel came back in with his own punch to Lily, who responded in kind. Lady then ran up to Lily and gave a knee to his chin, before following up with a cartwheel kick up his face. As his head reeled back, Lily head-butted Lady before Gajeel punched Lily in the gut.
Happy shook as he continued to watch the three-way slugfest Lady and Gajeel both gave to Lily. "Okay… is it just me… or are Gajeel and Lady getting a little distracted here?"
Gajeel punched Lily in the right cheek as Lady did the same with the left; just as Lily punched his right arm at Gajeel and left arm at Lady. All three smirked as this happened.
Edolas Royal City
Modeus and Grey stood over the defeated Sugarboy as the shirtless wizard held an ice-replica of the Key to the Dragon Chain Cannon.
"I told ya was an Ice-Make Wizard, Chin-Boy. I can make anything." Grey smirked to the unconscious enemy.
Modeus heard a faint noise from behind. "It would seem we have company."
They both turned around and saw Natsu and Dante running towards them, Natsu looking peeved for some unknown reason.
"Hey Grey! Modeus!" Natsu exclaimed as he and Dante caught up.
"What?" Grey asked nonchalantly.
"You can't run forever jerk!" Natsu replied
"I fail to see why you are angry." Modeus said as a question mark appeared above his head.
"Well it looks like you guys got things taken care of here." Dante observed from looking at the unconscious and beaten Sugarboy.
Grey looked towards them. "What about Nelo Angelo? Did you get that creep?"
Natsu had a serious look at his face. "Bastard got away. And he found a way to hide his scent so I can't track him anymore."
"Something's telling me he'll show up again sooner or later. Probably went off to lick his wounds." Dante guessed.
"Hey, where are Lucy and Lisanna?" Grey asked when he noticed the two girls weren't with them.
"Oh yeah… well they're both kind of stuck right now." Natsu replied.
"What do you mean by 'stuck'?" Modeus asked.
"Don't ask." Dante replied.
E-Land
In the shut down and torn up amusement park; both Lisanna and Lucy we're stuck half-way under the beaten and unconscious Octopus-Byro and Coco tried to pull them out by pulling on their arms. Lisanna held Coco's right hand and Lucy held her left one.
"Keep tugging! We're almost there!" Lisanna comically exclaimed.
"I'm pulling as hard as I can!" Coco replied back.
"I'm gonna kill Dante and Natsu for leaving us here like this!" Lucy stated with an anime anger mark on her head.
Back in the hallway.
Dante saw what Grey was holding. "Okay, you mind explaining why you have an ice-sculpture of that key?" He asked.
"We destroyed the original key." Modeus answered. "But Grey made a replica because we can use the Dragon Chain Cannon to save all our friends."
"Say what?" Natsu wondered.
Grey began to explain. "The King of Edolas wants to fire the Dragon Chain Cannon at the floating island the lacrima is on, so it will crash into Extalia."
"Which will kill our friends." Dante said. "We already know that. And if Nelo Angelo opens an Anima Portal at that point to the Demon World he can set loose an army of demons on Edolas."
"True, however…" Modeus began. "The Dragon Chain Cannon fires condensed Dragon Slayer Magic which is what saved Natsu here, as well as Gajeel and Wendy from being turned into a lacrima in the first place, and Gajeel used his own magic to rescue Grey, Erza, and Lady from the same predicament. If we fire the Dragon Chain Cannon directly at the Lacrima…"
Dante realized it. "We can turn everyone back to normal in one strike!"
Grey smirked "Which will mean both the King of Edolas' and Nelo Angelo's plans are kaput."
"Now that sounds like a plan to me!" Natsu exclaimed.
Grey turned to the other end of the hall. "I think the cannon is just up ahead of us."
"It would make sense, our enemy was heading in that direction while we we're chasing him." Modeus agreed.
"Alright! Lets get this party started!" Dante urged.
"Hold on, there's one problem." Grey said.
"What's that?" Natsu asked.
"We can't get inside the chamber where they're keeping it." Grey replied.
"Why not?" Dante asked.
"Yeah, we'll just use our magic to blow open the door and barge right in." Natsu agreed.
"That's not gonna work." Grey replied. "Supposedly, it's made from some kind of wizard-canceller-anti-magic lacrima."
"Meaning our attacks won't be able to damage it." Modeus said.
"You think that Nelo Angelo creep's gonna be there?" Natsu asked. "If he wants to use the cannon he probably would."
"I doubt it." Modeus replied. "In addition to using this time to heal, he must be heading toward the place to ready an Anima portal. I doubt the King would be insane enough to have two of his most vital resources in the same place."
"So we have an opening to avoid running into Nelo Angelo again for the time-being; but the King might have some kind of weapons or something guarding the cannon." Dante guessed. "So even if we did break down the door, he wouldn't make it easy for us."
"Well I think we should give it a try anyway." Natsu insisted.
"And if it doesn't work then what?" Grey questioned.
"Hang on, someone's coming." Dante pointed out as he, Modeus, Grey, and Natsu looked back down the hall and saw someone approaching them.
"So… I found you… and it seems you have the key." A red-haired woman dressed in the armor of Erza Knightwalker, covered in bruises, and feeling quite fatigue, said to the group.
"Its Erza." Natsu observed.
"Hang on, something's not right." Grey got a good look at her. "She's from Edolas!"
"Knightwalker?" Modeus questioned in surprise.
Dante smirked. "No, that's not her." They all looked in surprise.
"What?! How can you tell?" Grey questioned.
"I remembered when those two clashed against each other." Dante recalled that moment. "I remember seeing Knightwalker get a scratch below her eyes, across her noose. This one doesn't have that scratch."
"Wait… so that's our Erza?" Natsu asked in clarification.
"Yep." Dante confirmed.
A smile formed on her face. "I guess I was fooling myself if I thought I could trick you Dante." Erza Scarlet said.
Modeus and Grey both sighed in relief. "We're glad you're okay." Modeus stated.
"I never doubted it for a second." Grey said with a smile.
"Yeah, me to!" Natsu agreed. "No way our Erza could loose to a knock off wannabe!" He exclaimed as he pumped his fist. "I only wish I could have done it myself!"
"Speaking of which, where is your 'evil twin'?" Dante asked Erza.
"She's presently taking a bit of a nap." Erza answered. "But she won't be out forever."
"Erza, did you hear what we said?" Modeus asked. "How we could use the key to save our friends?"
"Yes I heard it all." Erza replied.
"And the only problem is us getting to the cannon itself." Grey said.
"Oh that won't be problem." Erza said with a knowing smile.
Dante seemed to get what she was suggesting. "So you got a plan?" Erza nodded in response. "Well we're listening."
A few moments later
Erza, still in the armor of her Edolas counterpart, dragged the seemingly beaten Natsu, Dante, Modeus, and Grey in chains across the floor as she approached the massive stone doorway to the Dragon Chain Cannon controls with four Royal Soldiers guarding it.
"Glad to see you are unharmed Captain Knightwalker." One soldier said, falling for her disguise.
"You idiot, she's obviously harmed!" The guard turned to her. "Do you need assistance, Captain?"
"Don't trouble yourself." The disguised Erza replied as two soldiers approached her.
"May I ask who these men are?" One guard asked, referring to the seemingly beaten Fairy Tail members she had in chains.
"Keys to the Dragon Chain Cannon." She answered.
"I don't understand."
"His majesty's inside?" She asked.
"Of course, Captain."
The massive stone door then began to lift from the ground and revealed a white light behind it.
"We're very close men." The disguised Erza stated as she faced the inside of the chamber. "Everlasting power is within reach."
Meanwhile, on the outskirts of a deserted area, far from the Royal City, both Edolas Lucy and the Edolas Eva stood over a cliffside looking out toward the distance.
"Geeze what's with the hold up?" Edolas Lucy questioned impatiently. "Come on."
"Be patient Lucy, he'll be here soon." Edolas Eva told her niece.
From a bit behind, Edolas Grey and Edolas Natsu both hid behind a rock. "You do it man, she likes you better." Edolas Grey told his friend.
"Yeah but…" Edolas Natsu was still quite scared.
"Hey boys, I have a better idea." Mary, the Edolas counterpart to Lady, said as she walked up to them. "How about we all go up and ask?"
"Uh yeah… that idea sounds better." Edolas Natsu timidly replied as Mary helped them up and they slowly began to approach them.
"Um you do know we can hear what you guys are saying, right? We aren't that far from you." Edolas Eva said as she turned around to the approaching group. Edolas Lucy looked in that direction as well.
Edolas Natsu then asked. "So, uh, what are we doing out here in the middle of nowhere like this? I'm just curious."
"Yeah all this dirt really isn't mixing well with my dress." Mary said as she brushed some dirt off her pink dress.
"We're waiting or someone." Edolas Lucy responded to Edolas Natsu's question.
"Uh waiting for who?" Edolas Natsu asked.
"Gajeel, that's who." Edolas Eva responded.
"Gajeel? You mean that journalist who's been trying to find dirt on the Royal Kingdom?" Mary asked.
"The one and only." Edolas Eva replied. "Unless you count his counterpart from Earthland he told us in a message."
Edolas Grey decided to join up with them. "So do you guys have any kind of plan in the works?"
"Maybe." Edolas Lucy replied. "If we want to convince the others, we need all the credible info we can get."
"Convince them of what?" Edolas Grey asked.
"Is this going to involve fighting?" Mary asked as well. "You know how I feel about that."
"You don't have to fight if you don't want to Mary." Edolas Eva said. "But someone has to. That Dante and all his friends from Earthland are waging war against the Royal Army and are even taking on the Black Angel himself. What kind of person would I be if I just let them go at it alone?"
"You really seem to be concerned about this Dante-guy." Edolas Natsu observed.
"Well I know I'd be to." Mary said. "He's actually fighting the Royal Kingdom. Plus I think he's kind of cute."
"You think he's cute?" Edolas Lucy asked.
"Of course, you do to don't you?" Mary asked in a playful tone.
"Yeah I guess." Edolas Lucy replied with a smirk. "At least he's more dependable than you Natsu."
"Why do you have to be so cruel Lucy!?" Edolas Natsu comically cried.
"Come on guys, we don't need to start a fight." Edolas Eva insisted. "But what's with the rest of the guild?"
"Well after hearing that you guys got some plan going on they're all pretty anxious." Mary replied.
"No duh." Edolas Grey began. "Ever since you've met all those Earthland guys you've been more irritable than normal."
"Tell me about it." Edolas Natsu agreed. "It's totally scary."
"Uh oh." Mary and Edolas Eva both said at the same time as Edolas Lucy had an anger anime mark on her head.
"YOU BETTER TAKE BACK THOSE COMMENTS IF YOU WANT TO STAY ALIVE!" Edolas Lucy exclaimed to all of htem with fangs for teeth and a giant head.
"We're really sorry!" Edolas Natsu and Edolas Grey both said as they cowered behind a rock.
"Don't be so rough Lucy. The poor things can only handle so much." Mary tried to ease.
"Well if you ask me, you guys need to grow a back bone." Edolas Eva lightly scolded the two boys. She then turned around to face the distance as the sun began to set. "Dante, I hope you and your friends are alright."
Edolas Royal City
The disguised Erza brought in the seemingly beaten Dante, Grey, Natsu, and Modeus into the massive chamber that was the controls for the Dragon Chain Cannon. King Faust was present, along with what appeared to be at least two hundred Royal Soldiers.
"I've heard you successfully retrieved the key, is this true?" Faust asked, believing he was speaking to Erza Knightwalker.
"Not entirely your majesty, it was destroyed." The disguised Erza replied.
"Explain yourself!" Faust demanded.
She threw the chained Grey to the ground. "This one can fabricate a working copy."
"No way!" Grey refused, going along with the act.
"And who is this?" Faust asked.
"He's an Earthland wizard sir." Erza replied. "A comrade of the Dragon Slayers."
"Where is Nelo Angelo?" Faust asked. "I heard he went on ahead to confront the Earthland wizards."
"About that, I hate to tell you this your majesty, but Nelo Angelo is a traitor to our kingdom." Erza revealed.
"What?!" Faust angrily questioned. This caught many of the Royal Soldiers off guard as well.
"It is true." Erza began. "Nelo Angelo intends on using the Dragon Chain Cannon for his own purposes."
Faust had an angry look in his eyes as he tightly held his staff. "After all I've done to bring him up in the ranks?! Making him a captain?! Even my own right hand?! All I've done for him and he stabs me in the back and twists the blade?!"
"It goes deeper than that, your majesty." Erza continued. "I understand this may sound difficult to believe, but Nelo Angelo is not a human being. He is, in fact, a demon."
"A demon?!" Faust questioned. The Royal Soldiers all looked shocked as well.
"A demon? He's really a demon?"
"That does explain why he's so strong."
"I thought demons we're just a myth."
Erza continued to explain. "Nelo Angelo intends to use the raw energy created from the collision of the lacrima and Extalia to fuse with an Anima portal to his home realm to tear a rift into the world of the demons and lead a full-scale invasion with the intent on whipping out all human life in Edolas."
"I will not allow that to happen!" Faust exclaimed. "Not when we're so close to everlasting power!" He turned to a large squad of soldiers. "Soldiers! Go to the Anima controls immediately! Form a blockade! Nelo Angelo is not to enter that chamber under any circumstances!"
The group of soldiers looked scared. "But… your majesty… we can't fight the Black Angel! He's one of the strongest…."
"DO AS I COMMAND!" Faust ordered as he slammed his staff to the ground and surged lightning from the end to intimidate them, which worked.
"Yes sir!" The commanding officer replied. He turned to his squad. "You heard him men! We must secure the Anima controls immediately!"
"Yes sir!" The soldiers all replied as the squad left the chamber to secure the Anima. Dante saw all this.
"That'll slow Nelo Angelo down a bit, and it gives us less men to work with." Dante saw there were still almost two hundred soldiers still present. He smirked internally. "Odds don't look so bad."
Faust then turned to the one he believed to be Knightwalker. "We must act at once if our world is to have everlasting power."
"Yes, I agree."
"You're certain this Earthlander can fabricate an exact copy of the key?" Faust asked.
"Yes your majesty." Erza confirmed.
"Free him. Now!" Faust ordered.
Erza took out a sword, which she used to cut the chains that kept Grey restrained. She then pulled the seemingly beaten Natsu up and held a sword to his neck.
"Get up Earthland wizard, and don't do anything rash!" She ordered.
"Grey, don't do this." Modeus said, going along with the act.
Grey still got to his feet and looked towards the Dragon Chain Cannon controls. "You will activate the Dragon Chain Cannon!" Erza ordered.
The Ice-Make Wizard got a good look at the whole thing. "So this is what it looks like, huh? It's not what I imagined it would be like. This may be a bit more complicated."
Dante got a look at it to. "From this point, I can't see any controls or anything. This may not be as easy as we thought."
It seemed both Grey and Modeus had similar thoughts themselves. But they had to do it; it was the only way to save their friends.
Erza pulled Natsu closer to the blade she held. "Quit stalling!"
Grey sighed, "I got no other choice." He placed his fist to his palm. Using his Maker Magic, he was able to create the ice-replica of the large key to the cannon. The Edolas Soldiers and even Faust looked in surprise at this use of magic.
"That's crazy." One soldier whispered.
"Is that Earthland Magic?"
"Does he have to be shirtless?"
"Back off!" Grey told the soldiers as he held the ice-key. "I'm not some kind of circus freak."
The soldiers gave him some room as Grey began to walk towards the controls for the cannon. He found a large keyhole; he placed the ice-key into the hole and gave a grunt as he turned the massive key.
"This is going to be my only chance." Grey thought.
Dante, Erza, Grey, Natsu, and Modeus watched closely for what may happen next. The lock began to glow, as did the carving of the dragon on the controls. An orange light began to light up the carvings and lines on the device as it began to power up. The Dragon Chain Cannon was now beginning to activate.
"I've got to score a direct hit on the lacrima with this thing. Because if I don't, it's over for my Fairy Tail pals. Not to mention all those other folks." Grey continued to think.
The eyes in the massive busts of King Faust began to glow orange as well. King Faust looked about as joyous as he could be.
"YES!" Faust exclaimed. "THIS IS A GLORIOUS DAY FOR OUR KINGDOM!" He gave a mighty and evil laugh.
Erza, Natsu, and Modeus looked in shock and surprise at the power this cannon held. Dante grimaced a bit as well.
"Grey, what the hell are you doing? Change the cannon's direction!" Dante thought.
As this happened, all the crystals in the caverns below began to glow orange and red as the magic hummed to life. They even began to shift and move.
This was just inside, it happened outside as well. Magic energy began to surge all throughout the walls of the entire Royal City. The citizens of the Royal City all began to cheer; as they believed this would be the day they received the everlasting magic power Faust had promised them.
The glow could be seen from miles away from the city. The glowing stopped for a brief moment, but once it stopped, it felt as though the entire city was shifting. The massive tower-like castle began to descend into the city as larger, circular, walls around it began to rise.
Lucy, Lisanna, and Coco ran outside to try and get to where they needed to go, but as they ran they saw the shifting of the city.
"What is going on?!" Lisanna exclaimed.
"Everything's moving! What's happening!?" Lucy exclaimed as well.
"This is not good!" Coco realized what was about to happen next. "They're firing up the Dragon Chain Cannon!"
"Oh no! We have to hurry!" Lisanna yelled as they picked up the pace.
Lucy noticed something. "You know, this is kind of like the Gildarts Shift." She remembered when Magnolia had to shift much like this when Gildarts ever came into the city. "Is this because of some destructive moron to?!"
"If by destructive moron, you mean self-righteous psychopath with a god-complex, then yes!" Lisanna stated.
"The King designed it!" Coco confirmed.
"Yep, I thought so." Lisanna sweat dropped.
Dragon Chain Cannon Chamber
Grey saw all that was happening as the cannon controls continued to glow an immense red color. He looked around. "How do I aim this thing?!"
Erza, Modeus, Natsu, and Dante all glared around as they couldn't see any way to alter the cannon's trajectory, not that they knew of.
Faust was meanwhile laughing like the power-hungry maniac that he was.
"Where the hell are the damn controls!?" Dante thought.
A massive red beam of pure energy shot out from the massive cannon and straight up into the air. This was spotted from a very far distance as Edolas Gajeel rode a motorcycle to his destination.
"Have they started up the cannon already?!" Edolas Gajeel questioned. "I was foolishly opening I was going to have a little bit more time than this! But it looks like I don't so I better hurry!"
He put his motorcycle into high-gear.
Dragon Chain Cannon Control Chamber
"PREPARE TO FIRE!" Faust ordered.
"Dammit. We have to move!" Dante exclaimed. "Natsu, Modeus, Erza, NOW!" Dante yelled.
"Alright!" Natsu exclaimed with a smirk as his body lit on fire.
"What?" Faust turned around in surprise.
Dante used his own enhance strength to break through his chains. He held his hand out as he summoned Rebellion. Modeus performed a similar action as he held out one hand; a black sword burst from the ground and cut his chains. Natsu burnt through his chains and broke out.
"Fire Dragon Wing Attack!" Natsu sent a torrent of flames that blew away a large squad of soldiers.
"IT BURNS!" The soldiers all comically screamed.
Modeus attacked as well as his sword began to glow white. "Demon Sword: Phantom Moon!" He sent a series of crescent-moon-shaped projectiles that sliced and blasted through another large group of soldiers.
"Doppelganger!" A dark grey circle formed underneath Dante as four shadow-copies of himself formed out of black smoke. All of them, including the original Dante, swung Rebellion and each created a wave of red demonic energy. All the waves blew back the remaining soldiers.
Faust could only look in angered shock. "What is going on here?! What is the meaning of this?!"
Natsu smirked as he stood with a glaring Modeus. Erza and Dante suddenly appeared by Faust as Erza pulled him close with a sword hung by his neck as Dante pointed his Ivory pistol at his head.
"I'm calling off the launch!" Erza exclaimed to the shocked Royal Soldiers that recovered from the sudden surprise attack.
"You traitor! How dare you!" Faust exclaimed in anger.
"This is treason!"
"Is she crazy?!"
Natsu, Grey, and even Modeus all smirked at the sudden change in their favor. "You know, your Royal Nutcase, maybe you should get a real good look at Erza." Dante smirked.
"What!?"
The armor around her began to glow as she requipped back into her Heart Kruez armor, revealing her true identity, much to the shock of Faust and the rest of the Royal Soldiers.
"My name is Erza Scarlet, I am an Earthland wizard from Fairy Tail!" She declared.
"Nice job." Grey congratulated. "It got a little hairy there."
"The plan may not have gone as we intended, but it looks like we are going to save everyone." Modeus said with a smile.
"They actually fell for it!" Natsu laughed. "Good old Plan D. Deceive the Royal Army Idiots!"
"You got it bro." Dante said to Natsu. "Listen up assholes!" Dante spoke to the Royal Army. "You guys are gonna change the cannon's trajectory right now! You're going to aim it directly at the Lacrima! Otherwise you're gonna mop your king's brains off the floor!" Dante ordered as he held the Ivory pistol closer to Faust's head.
"I order you all to fire it at the original target!" Faust ordered his soldiers, despite still being held at sword and gunpoint by Erza and Dante respectively.
The soldiers all looked conflicted on what to do.
"What do we do?"
"That's a low move taking hostages like this!"
"You want to talk about a low move? You guys abducted all our friends and are planning to use them as a bomb! So you idiots have no room to talk!" Dante ordered.
"It did not have to be like this." Modeus said. "If you wanted to give more magic to Edolas you could have come to us willingly and we could have helped you. But you stole not only our magic but also our family! You all brought this on yourselves!"
"Yeah, we don't care what you guys think." Grey agreed.
"Because we'll do whatever it takes to save our friends!" Natsu stated as well.
Erza brought her blade closer to Faust's throat. "We're wasting too much time!"
"What's our order?" One soldier asked.
"We have to protect our king!" Another soldier said.
"Fire it now! Forget about saving me and eliminate the Exceeds!" Faust ordered.
"We may have deceived you, but what you heard of Nelo Angelo is true!" Modeus stated. "If you follow along your original plan, you'll doom your entire world to enteral darkness!"
"Shoot at the lacrima, and you'll not only save our friends but your whole world!" Dante stated. "Plus, I'm really tempted to put a hole in this old prick's head!" He put Ivory right at Faust's temple.
That was all the soldiers needed to hear. "Change the target! Aim for the giant lacrima!" They seemed to comply with the demands of the Fairy Tail members.
From outside, it looked as though a massive dragon-skeletal-like projectile was emerging from the large red light.
"You cowards!" Faust yelled. "You're throwing away our chances for everlasting magic power!"
"Shut it you old fart!" Dante told him. But he, Erza, and even Faust noticed a small glint from above.
"SCARLET!" Erza Knightwalker fell down as she trusted her trident at Erza, who was forced to throw Faust away to block the attack.
"Knightwalker!" Modeus exclaimed in shock, as Natsu and Grey looked in surprise.
"Shit! Not now!" Dante growled in surprise and anger.
"It's Captain Knightwalker!" Faust exclaimed.
"His majesty is free!" A soldier saw as the others got to work.
"Now! Reset to the original target!"
Outside, a growl could be heard from the cannon as it was readied. It began to hum as the Dragon Chain Cannon was set to fire to its original target.
Back inside, Erza struggled against her Edolas counterpart, she wouldn't have to for very long as Dante came in and kicked Knightwalker away from Erza.
"You picked a bad time for a rematch, bitch!" Dante told her.
"Dante!" Knightwalker growled. Anger flashed in her eyes, as she wanted more than anything to kill him. She thrusted her trident forward, but Dante blocked it with Rebellion.
"I don't have time to play with you right now, so take a rain check!" Dante channeled his demonic energy into Rebellion as it began to glow, much to Knightwalker's surprise. He blasted Knightwalker off and thrusted forward, using his Million-Stab-Technique on Knightwalker.
She tried to block it, but it was too quick for even her as several red projectiles hit her and sent her flying through several unfortunate guards, and all the way to the wall.
Natsu, Grey, and Modeus looked in a mixture of shock and anger as they saw the cannon glow.
"FIRE!" Faust ordered.
The controls of the cannon began to glow a bright and blinding light; forcing everyone to shield their eyes.
Outside, several large fan-blade-like-objects surrounding the cannon began to glow red as well as they slowly began to turn. The citizens around the Royal City looked in amazement as the saw all that was happening.
The blades' movement began to increase at an exceptional rate as they spun rapidly around the cannon. They spun so fast; it looked like an almost blinding speed.
As this happened; Erza, Grey, Modeus, Natsu, and even Dante looked in expressions of shock and almost horror at this device as it emanated a roar-like sound, identical to that of a dragon.
The Dragon Chain Cannon was then fired. The dragon-skull-like projectile was fired, with a massive chain connecting behind it, which bore a resemblance to that of a spine. It soared through the air and smashed into the lower area of the Lacrima Island.
On the island, the ground began to shake, getting the attention of Gajeel, Lady, Happy, and Lilly.
"What the hell was that?!" Lady exclaimed as Happy bounced a bit around them.
Lily had a triumphant smirk on his face. "The Dragon Chain Cannon attaching." Lily answered Lady's question.
Lady had a look of shock on her face, as did Gajeel. "They didn't make it in time!"
Happy flew below the island to get a good look at it. "He's right! There's something big stuck to it!"
The eye in the skull-like projectile began to glow, as did the black slits of the bone. It looked as though it was trying to dig deeper into the rock.
"Uh… I don't like the look of this." Happy grimaced.
The island began to shake, as did Lady and Gajeel who we're still on it with Lily. The entire lacrima began to glow a reddish-orange color as the magic from the Dragon Chain Cannon began to feed into it, filling it with raw energy.
Dragon Chain Cannon Chambers
"Attachment complete!" A soldier reported.
"SMASH IT INTO THE EXCEEDS' KINGDOM AT ONCE!" Faust yelled.
"NO!" Dante exclaimed.
"WE CAN'T LET THIS HAPPEN!" Natsu yelled as well.
Before anything else could be said, a large explosion was seen from the ceiling above everyone. A large flying creature landed in front of the Fairy Tail members.
"Hey everyone!" Lisanna yelled from on top of it.
"Get on! We need to go now!" Lucy yelled from on top as well.
"What the…. Lucy!? Lisanna?!" Modeus questioned.
"Where did you guys come from?!" Grey questioned.
"What is that thing?" Erza questioned as well.
"Holy cow!" Natsu exclaimed. "They turned you guys into monsters!"
"No you idiot. They're riding on it." Dante told Natsu.
"Quick everyone get on now!" Lisanna told them as she and Lucy revealed themselves.
Several soldiers surrounded Faust to protect their King. "It's a Legion!" One soldiers exclaimed, recognizing the creature.
"But what's it doing here?"
Faust was quite surprised as well. "How could this happen?! How are they in control of a Legion?!"
A younger girl revealed herself with Lucy and Lisanna. "Because this one is mine!" Coco revealed as all three girls had triumphant smirks on their faces.
"Coco!" Faust growled as his pupils shrunk in rage.
Natsu, Dante, Modeus, Grey, and Erza all climbed onto the Legion to join the girls. It was then Erza spotted a certain white-haired girl that caused her too look in shock.
"Lisanna?!" The red-haired wizard questioned with shrunken pupils.
"Uh… hi Erza." She waved with an innocent smile.
"But how…?"
"Long story. No time!" Dante told Erza. "We need to move!"
"Are we really going to be able to stop it with this thing?" Natsu questioned as everyone was on and the Legion began to fly once again.
"We'll never know until we try." Lucy stated firmly.
"That's right!" Grey agreed.
"Then lets take our leave! We need to hurry!" Modeus urged.
The Legion gave a roar, scaring away all the soldiers as it took to the air. As it did, Erza Knightwalker looked up to two certain individuals. Erza Scarlet glared at her counterpart, while Dante gave a smirk at Knightwalker before sticking his middle finger up at her.
That forced a growl from Knightwalker. "Dante! Scarlet!" She growled as she watched them escape.
*Slash*
Knightwalker had used a blade to cut off a large portion of her own hair, to the point where it only reached to her chin-level. This completely shocked all the Royal Soldiers around her.
"Don't just stand there!" Knightwalker exclaimed. "Prepare the Second Magic Warfare Unit Legion Platoon!" She ordered as she began to walk out.
Faust knew he had to be prepared. Not only had the Fairy Tail members from Earthland threatened to stand in his way, but also now Nelo Angelo had betrayed him. He knew full well the powers the mighty Black Angel had, so it was time to pull out all the stops.
"I will be going as well. Prepare to deploy the Dorma Anim."
This caught all the soldiers completely off-guard.
"But that's a forbidden spell!"
"Article 23 of the Royal Charter says its not to be used under any circumstances."
"That is an order!" Faust exclaimed, a look of rage and insanity was evident deep in his eyes.
Elsewhere, ten soldiers stood in guard of a large doorway that led to the Anima Controls. Though they stood guard, as ordered by their king, to say they we're afraid would be an understatement.
"This is nuts. We can't fight the Black Angel!" One guard stated.
"Yeah, he wiped out almost all the guilds in Edolas. What are ten soldiers going to do?!" Another soldier questioned.
"Do you guys really believe what Captain Knightwalker said? Is this guy really a demon?" A third soldier asked.
"You had better believe it."
All ten of them looked in terror as they heard that voice. The saw out of the darkness approaching them was the newly transformed Nelo Angelo. The only armor apparent was the black armor covering his legs, where his bare feet sporting large talons we're evident. His bare chest revealed the dark grey skin as large curved spikes came from his shoulders and elbows. Smaller spikes we're present on his chest as well. His hands had long claws instead of just fingers. His white hair hung down to his shoulders. Large bat-like wings we're evident on his back. His forehead had three small black spikes on as his teeth we're now fangs, and minor curved black spikes we're shown at the sides of his mouth. He carried a twisted double bladed scythe in his hands.
His dark red eyes filled the soldiers with pure terror.
"Ne… Ne… Nelo Angelo?"
"What happened to you?"
"You like it?" He asked. "My master granted me more power than I could have imagined. I am no longer the Black Angel. I am the Onyx Reaper, the harbinger of death for all of Edolas, human and Exceed alike."
The soldiers looked like they we're ready to piss their pants.
"I need to get into those chambers, so would you kindly step aside?"
"We… We can't… do that. His Majesty's orders."
This actually earned a sadistic grin from Nelo Angelo. "That's fine with me."
Before any of the soldiers could react, Nelo Angelo had flew at them at high speeds. He sliced at them with his scythe and claws as the shadows above portrayed the carnage too gruesome for anyone to see. The screaming lasted only a few seconds before they we're all dead.
Nelo Angelo opened the door the chamber in front of them as he walked away from the mess he had just made from the soldiers he butchered.
The Anima Chamber was much larger than that of the Dragon Chain Cannon controls. A long stone bridge stretched to the end where five large stone statues of Faust we're present with open arms, facing up to a glowing blue orb that was the source of the Anima.
Nelo Angelo used his newly acquired wings to fly straight to the orb. "The Anima. Originally designed to be used as a portal to extract magic from Earthland. But now, it will be the tool to Edolas' destruction!"
Nelo Angelo placed his right claw on the orb and channeled his own demonic energy into it. The orb surged with red lightning as the orb changed from a bright blue to a dark red.
"Yes! Just wait a little longer, my Emperor. Edolas will soon be yours. Ha ha ha ha! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"
Nelo Angelo's demonic laugh echoed throughout the entire chamber.
Lacrima Island
Thanks to the Dragon Chain Cannon, the entire Lacrima Island was now moving in the air. A windy breeze was seen moving around it as the Lacrima moved closer towards Extalia.
"What's going on? Is this thing moving?" Gajeel questioned as he, Happy, and Lady looked at this new development.
"It is." Lily confirmed as he faced them all. "The final phase of Code: ETD."
"And just what is Code: ETD?" Lady asked.
"Exceeds Total Destruction." Lily revealed, much to the shock of Lady, Gajeel, and Happy. "We will crash the lacrima into Extalia. It'll eliminate the entire kingdom, and harvest unlimited magic power."
Gajeel and Lady we're both shocked to say the least. "You gotta be kidding me! That's completely insane!" Gajeel exclaimed.
"You're going to use our friends as a bomb to commit mass murder?! ARE YOU NUTS?!" Lady yelled.
Happy shook as he heard all of this. "But why…" tears formed in his eyes. "Why would your people ever want to do something so horrible?" Happy sobbed.
Everything seemed bleak for our heroes. Faust initiated Code ETD's final stage and Nelo Angelo was now in control of the Anima. However, hope is not lost.
Dante and Natsu stood on the head of the Legion. "COME ON! ARE YOU WITH ME!?" Dante exclaimed as he held Rebellion up high and pointed it outward.
Natsu gave a yell in agreement as he threw away his jacket. "LET'S GO!"
Modeus, Grey, Erza, Lisanna, Lucy, and Coco all rode on the Legion as Dante and Natsu led their friends straight towards the Lacrima to end this horrible plan.

Things are kicking into overdrive.
As our heroes from Fairy Tail fight not only to save their friends from Faust and the Royal Army but the whole of Edolas from the dreaded Nelo Angelo ready to use the explosion from the Lacrima-Extalia collision to bring Armageddon to Edolas.
Just let me clarify a few things. In Extalia, Trish may have threatened the Exceeds who had just thrown rocks at Wendy and Carla, but she wont kill them, despite claiming they are the same as the demons she fights, because we all know that they and their queen aren't as divine as everyone thinks they are.
In order for Nelo Angelo's plan to work; the lacrima must crash into Extalia, right at the spot he opens an Anima portal to the demon world. An Anima alone is only used to absorb energy from another world, in order to cause a full rift as Nelo Angelo intends to do he needs a GREAT DEAL of force to literally tear a hole between dimensions. The explosion that'll result from the collision of Extalia and the lacrima will be enough to tear a hole through the Anima.
