Hi everyone. I told you I would have the update soon. This has gotta be a record for me :)

Anyway, this is pretty much the final chapter in my Edolas arc. The first official cannon Fairy Tail story arc I've competed for my series. I'd say it turned out pretty good don't you? After this, as I've said before, there will be an epilogue/prologue based arc that will bride the Edolas arc to my own original one I am dubbing "Devil Hand arc". Isn't that ominous? (Evil laugh)

Welcome Home

Earthland; Outskirts of Magnolia

Everything was just how it was before the Anima absorbed the entire city, the land and city had been restored, and the weather was just as rainy as it was to. Up in the middle of the sky, a massive white vortex began to pulsate and form, as the Reverse-Anima was finishing up its job. It gave a few more pulses as our heroes all screamed and fell out of the sky before landing on the hard and wet ground in a comic pile.

Dante was first, followed by Natsu, Lucy, Lisanna, Happy, Carla, Lady, Wendy, Grey, Trish, Modeus, Gajeel, and Erza.

"Is everyone alright?" Modeus asked as everyone groaned.

"Define alright." Lucy moaned.

Dante groaned a bit to before he saw everything around him. The group had got up on their feet as Dante voiced it.

"We're back baby!" He shouted with an enthusiastic smile.

The group turned to the sound of church bells and saw with wide-eyed and amazed looks at the restored city below them.

"Look!" Trish pointed.

"Ha Ha! Everything's back to normal!" Natsu cheered.

"There's Magnolia!" Lucy exclaimed.

"After two years… I'd never thought I'd see it again!" Lisanna choked up a bit, as though she we're about to cry in joy.

"We did it!" Happy cheered.

"Hold on." Lady stopped the group. "Lets not celebrate just yet."

"Lady is correct." Erza agreed. "We still need to know everyone in the town is okay."

"They're just fine."

The group looked up to the sound of the voice to see it was coming from one of the hundreds of Exceeds that we're also taken into Earthland by the Reverse-Anima.

"We got here a while ago so we decided to check on them for ya." One Exceed kid told them.

"We decided to fly through town real quick." Another Exceed child added.

"You're friends and everyone in town are doing great!" A third Exceed child also added.

At the sight of the Exceeds; Dante, Natsu, Happy, Lucy, and Lisanna all had white-circular eyes and dropped jaws; as did Gajeel, Modeus, Grey, Wendy, Trish and Lady.

"When we talked to them, they didn't even know they'd been turned into a lacrima." A young girl Exceed pointed out.

"Earthland is totally awesome you guys!" A young male Exceed exclaimed. "It's got tons of magic power!"

The only one who didn't have a comical shock-filled expression was Carla, though she was still greatly surprised.

"What are they doing here?!" Carla questioned. "Its not right! The Exceeds don't belong in Earthland!"

Celebrations quickly died down as the Exceeds all descended toward the ground, including Queen Shagotte herself, Nabi, Nichiya, and the four elders. Now instead of joyous expressions, they we're looks of guilt and shame, particularly that of Shagotte. Even Lucky and Marl we're present.

"We cannot allow them to stay here!" Carla pointed to all the Exceeds. "They're far too dangerous! They should return to Edolas!"

"That is no longer an option." Modeus pointed out. "We heard from Mystogen that once his Reverse-Anima was finished, that would be it. All possible means of reaching Edolas would be cut off, both from Earthland and the Demon Realm." Carla's look hadn't faded even after Modeus' reasoning.

Wendy kneeled down to Carla's level and Happy joined her as well. "Be nice." Happy tried to calm Carla down.

"They're homeland is gone and they have no place left to go, I think we should forgive them." Wendy tried.

"And they did help us to stop the Lacrima-collision, so there's that." Lady added.

The Exceed citizens looked guilty for their horrible attitude earlier and many of the younger ones we're now making apologies.

"We're sorry for throwing rocks at you lady."

"Yeah, we're really sorry."

"We have no place left to go now that Extalia is destroyed."

"We promise we'll be nicer to you now."

"Please say you'll forgive us."

Carla's look of anger still didn't vanish. "This has nothing to do with you kids! It's her!" She pointed to Shagotte. "I'm angry because the Queen of Extalia and her lackeys sent me to Earthland on a mission to kill the Dragon Slayers!"

"I KNOW!" Lucky shouted. "THE QUEEN ORDERED US TO GIVE UP ALL OUR EGGS! HOW COULD SHE BE SO HEARTLESS!? UGH!"

"Calm down dear." Marl tried to clam him down.

Happy noticed the older Exceed's presence. "Hey there mister." He gave a friendly wave.

Dante looked toward the Queen, he also had an angry look on his face. "She is the reason we got sucked into Edolas in the first place. If there's an explanation we had better here it now!"

"Well for one thing, I'd like to point out she's no god." Trish said, getting the attention of the Fairy Tail members, particularly Lucy and Lisanna. "The whole thing was a façade just to keep the people in Edolas from attacking them, but the only power she has is to predict when someone will die."

"Which explains why people always thought she decided who lives and who dies." Lisanna realized, having lived under this sort of thing for two years.

"It still serves no excuse for what she has done!" Carla exclaimed.

"Got that right." Dante added as he glared directly at Shagotte. "You did help save my friends so I'm not gonna gun you down, tempting as it is." Dante stated as a few of his friends gave him concerning looks, especially Trish and Lady. "But like I said, you better start giving us some answers."

The Elders gathered around Shagotte as they began to explain.

"I can assure you, there is a reasonable explanation, and her intentions we're honorable." Elder Martam began.

"I remember vividly, it was six years ago." Elder Mysdroy added.

"As the young woman pointed out, Shagotte has the ability to glimpse into the future. It is both a gift and a curse." Elder Martam continued.

Flashback – Six Years Ago

Extalia had fallen in ruins as the entire island crashed onto the ground. Nelo Angelo's silloutes was seen in a vast blackness with a pair of three red lights above him; the eyes of Mundus.

Shagotte gave a gasp once she saw that vision. Even though it was only a premonition, and a glimpse at that, one look from those three eyes caused her face to dread in terror, as though she had glimpsed at the very face of evil itself.

She had explained her vision to the Elders gathered before her.

"Extalia… will fall?!" Elder Mejeer questioned after hearing Shagotte.

"I hate to admit, but if that is Queen Shagotte's vision it's bound to happen sooner or later." Elder Muganto said in a grim tone.

"Then we have to protect ourselves!" Elder Mysdroy exclaimed. "But who would do something like that?!"

"Who else could it be but the humans?" Elder Mejeer replied.

"No, it wasn't them." Shagotte said, getting their attention. "I saw something else in my vision. I didn't get a clear enough look but… it was a force… a dark force... far more malevolent than anything I've ever seen. It was as if… all that was embodied in fear and hate was manifested into that force."

The Elders looked in shock at this description.

"You are saying some unknown malevolent force is bound to descend upon us?" Elder Martam questioned in almost fear at this.

Shagotte could only nod.

"So… what must we do then, your majesty?" Elder Mysdroy asked the Queen.

Queen Shagotte had a grim look on her face as she gave her answer. "Whatever this dark force is, I know that we cannot win in a battle against it. We have no choice. Save the children!"

End Flashback

"Save them?!" Lucy questioned with Marl looking in shock.

"You don't mean…"

Dante also looked in surprise as he turned back to glance at Trish, Modeus, and Lady as they had a feeling they knew who this 'dark force' truly was.

Carla and Happy to we're surprised by this revelation.

"What the…?" Happy questioned. "Wait a minute. That's a way different story than the one we we're told. You aren't lying to us, are you?"

"No young man." Elder Muganto confirmed.

"Hey." Trish spoke up as she stepped forward. "This 'dark force'. When you saw it, did it look like a pair of three glowing red eyes?"

Shagotte looked in surprise. "Yes… how did you?"

"Mundus." Dante said, getting the attention of everyone present.

Nabi, still waving his arm, and Nichiya both looked toward each other. "Wait, 'Mundus', you two!" Nichiya got the attention of Happy and Carla. "Back in Extalia, you said that name."

"Yes, could you have been referring to that creature that battle against the Dorma Anim?" Nabi asked.

"No that was Nelo Angelo." Modeus corrected. "And he was merely a herald for the true evil."

"Mundus the Demon Emperor." Lady began. "Basically, all those stories of Hell you hear about as kids, they're real. Hell is a very real place, a world of pure evil, and a home to demons. And the most powerful of all of them, their ruler, is Mundus."

"Several millennia ago, a warrior named Sparda fought with the Dragons and trapped Mundus in his own realm." Dante explained as well. "But, from even there he could feel how limited Edolas' magic was so he sent Nelo Angelo to find a way to rip a hole from Edolas into the Demon World where he could send an army of demons and pretty much wipe out all life, both human and Exceed alike."

All the Exceeds present, including Shagotte herself, looked in shock and surprise as they all looked toward each other. The members of Fairy Tail looked toward this with serious expressions.

The Elder Exceeds regained their looks. "So… it would seem that this Mundus, the dark force that Queen Shagotte foresaw, did indeed play an indirect role in Extalia's destruction." Elder Martam said.

"But of course at that time, we couldn't have know the specific details so we had to assume the worst and save the Exceed children." Elder Muganto added.

"And to prevent panic among the Extalian citizens we carried out our plan without their knowledge." Elder Mejeer also added.

"The Queen issued a false proclamation." Elder Mysdroy continued. "It was merely a cover up for our plan."

New Flashback

Queen Shagotte and her Elders we're speaking to their Extalian citizens from the palace as they explained their 'plan' to send the Exceed children away.

"This operation is to protect you!" Queen Shagotte announced. "These monsters, the Dragon Slayers, must be eliminated! Please, I ask you for your understanding at this difficult time."

End Flashback

Lucky and Marl continued to listen as they remembered when their egg, the one that would hatch Happy, was taken against their will.

"We felt horrible about making the Queen lie like that." Elder Mejeer admitted with regret in his voice.

"Yes, but we had no choice." Elder Muganto also added in a remorse-filled tone.

"We simply could not go public with the knowledge that our beloved Extalia would come crashing to the ground." Elder Mysdroy said also. "And with the façade we've set up to portray the Queen as a god, our citizens would foolishly believe that we could stand against any 'dark force' that stood in our way."

"But from what you've described of this Mundus-being, we would have lacked the ability to defend ourselves from him." Elder Martam said. "And despite what you may have heard I assure you we have no will toward the Dragon Slayers or any other beings in Earthland whatsoever."

"Don't worry, we know. You just needed something to go along with the story you've told them." Wendy assured as most of the Fairy Tail guild seemed to understand the situation a bit more.

"You knew everyone would panic if the truth got out, so you had to make up something else to tell them." Lucy said.

"We get it." Grey assured as well.

"Yeah I hate to say it, but you guys would not have survived an attack from any demon, much less Mundus." Trish told them.

Dante looked in between Carla and Shagotte, as did Happy, as Carla had a look of confusion on her face. Shagotte now took her turn to tell the story.

"We made use of the human's Anima to successfully carry out our operation." Shagotte explained. "As they tore several small holes between the two worlds, we sent the eggs through so they would arrive safely in Earthland."

Natsu's eyes widened as he looked toward Lisanna and they both had looks of realization, remembering when they found Happy's egg as kids, six years ago.

"However, something completely unexpected happened with one of the eggs." Shagotte continued. "We had no idea that you… Carla… posses an incredible power."

"Me?" Carla questioned as most eyes, particularly Wendy and Dante, fell upon her.

"Yes." Shagotte continued to explain. "It turns out that you posses the same prophetic power that I do."

Carla's eyes widened in surprise, as did Happy and Dante.

"Unfortunately, you did not have proper control over it, and as a result it clouded and confused your memory. Of the one hundred Exceeds that we sent away, only you had this gift. I suspect, that you began to see scattered fragments of Edolas' future."

The young white Exceed's eyes paled as she then remembered the time she hatched in Cait Shelter, and a six-year-old Wendy first laid her eyes upon her.

"We are doing this for the good of our kingdom. Magic power will completely vanish from our world. We are sending our children to eradicate the monstrous Dragon Slayers. It is our mission."

Those exact words repeated in her head as she continued to listen.

"Your gift, caused you to mistake that as your personal mission." Shagotte finished.

"Wait… what?" Dante questioned in a single breathe.

"Hold on… does that mean….?" Happy also questioned.

"The two of you we're never given a mission." Shagotte told them, causing them all, especially Carla, to look in honest shock. "It was just your mind's way of trying to make sense out of all the thoughts and visions in your head. You we're sent here because we wanted to protect the next generation, nothing more."

Dante them remembered when he and his friends we're being led by Carla in the tunnel under the Royal Castel in Edolas, as she claimed to have seen visions about it.

"Wait… those visions she was seeing… we're prophecies? She foresaw we'd go there?" Dante thought as he looked at Carla who continued to shake a bit as this new information was revealed. No doubt she was thinking the exact same thing.

"For whatever reason we thought you'd be better off if we hid your prophetic powers from you." Nabi informed, still waving his arm. "Therefore we had no choice but to make it seem that we we're controlling you. We beg your forgiveness"

Nichiya held his head as he looked in shame. "At the time, we honestly thought that was the only way we could embellish the Queen's illustriousness. However, now we deeply regret it."

"The show of false provato…" Shagotte continued. "That I chose to put on my citizens and the humans in the face of hardship is what caused you to suffer. No, I didn't just cause your suffering; I brought anguish to all of the families I took eggs from six years ago." Shagotte explained as Lucky and Marl looked down. "And to all the Earthlanders that got swept up in our affairs. Mundus and Nelo Angelo may have been the true evils, but I acted no different from them as I put so many lives in danger."

Dante, Natsu, and all the members of Fairy Tail shared looks with each other, as did all the Extalian Exceeds as all this set in.

Shagotte looked directly at Carla as she continued. "Now you understand. That was why I offered my life to you. I swear that Exceed kind had nothing to do with this. It was my fault alone. When we met in Extalia, you referred to me as a Devil, and you are right. For all the pain I've caused, I am indeed fit for the title of Devil." Shagotte said with regret evident in her voice.

The mood was silent and somber for a minute as no one said anything. Dante, who once had anger and contempt directed toward the Exceed Queen now had a bit of remorse as he gave a sigh and spoke up.

"Queeny, your no Devil." Dante said, getting her attention as he stepped closer. "That whole god-façade-thing you did was definitely messed up, but… given how some humans sometimes act, picking on those smaller than them, it makes a little sense; and you did what you thought you had to, both then and sending all those eggs here to Earthland. I don't really agree with it, but I do understand. You're definitely not a god, but you're not a devil either." He smiled a bit. "But… you maybe more like a human than you might think, and that's a complement."

Shagotte looked toward Dante, not expecting those words to be spoken to her. This man who was once angry at her for endangering his friends had told her that she was almost human? Something about that felt good, like it was an act of grace and generosity. Many of Dante's friends in Fairy Tail looked toward him with sincere and proud smiles, happy at how mature he had just acted.

The mood was broken as Nichiya cried dramatically and comically. "MEOW!"

"He is right your majesty!" Nabi, still waving his arm, added. "No one is to blame for this!"

"Those are the words of an honorable man!" Nichiya cried. "You did what you thought was best for the citizens of Extalia!"

The other Extalian citizens seemed to agree. "Yeah, we're just as much to blame as you are Queen Shagotte cause we we're so full of ourselves." An orange male middle-aged Exceed said, referring to their arrogant attitude.

"But now that we're in Earthland, we can make things right again." An Exceed child added.

"Lets go out there and find all the Exceed children that we're sent away six years ago." Another Exceed child also said.

Pretty much every Exceed sprouted their wings and took to the skies with cheers, causing many Fairy Tail members, even Dante, to smile.

"This is awesome! We've got a new purpose!"

"Lets do our best to become friends with the humans!"

"Here's to making a fresh start!"

Natsu couldn't help but chuckle. "They're optimistic, aren't they?"

'Yes, it's quite refreshing." Modeus agreed with a sincere smile.

Shagotte began to shed tears of joy. "Thank you everyone."

Nabi and Nichiya also shed comical tears of joy. "We should all count our blessings today. We are lucky to have been granted this new beginning."

Lady gave a joking smile. "Just don't blow it fur balls."

Carla sighed as this was all revealed to her. "Very well then, in that case I forgive you."

Shagotte gave a light gasp as tears of joy welled up in her eyes. "Carla."

"But tell me, how did I end up possessing the same prophetic power you do?"

Shagotte, and the Elders, all gave nervous coughs as they looked away trying to find ways of avoiding the question, irritating Carla a bit.

Dante saw this and laughed inward. He had a feeling it was because Carla was Shagotte's daughter. It seemed really obvious, besides that she had Shagotte's powers; they both looked exactly the same. He wanted to tell Carla, just to see the look on her face, but decided not to as this was something she needed to figure out on her own, just like how he had to figure out his own heritage.

Natsu was with Nabi and was somehow waving his arm the same way the black and tall Exceed was. "It all worked out. I'm glad everything ended up okay!"

"Yes!" Nabi agreed, waving his arm as well.

"That's funny." Grey noted with a smile as he was also waving his arm. "You total caught his arm-waving-thing."

"So have you Grey." Lucy noted with a humorous smile.

"How did that happen?" Lisanna asked with her own humorous smile to.

Erza smiled at all this around her, until a familiar presence fell upon her. "Sniff, sniff, sniff." A chill ran down Erza's spine, one that only a certain individual could give.

Nichiya flew very close to Erza, too close for her comfort. "So lovely. Such a fragrant parfume. I just can't get enough!"

"Knock it off!" Erza tried to back up.

"Please miss! Allow me to endure your parfume a little longer!"

He was way too close to Erza, just like… him. "No… Stop it! GET AWAY!" Erza comically slugged him across the face to send him skidding across the ground.

Both Trish and Lady laughed hard at this. "Her Erza…" Lady said, still chuckling. "I know he hasn't heard of… personal space but…" She continued to laugh. "Isn't that a little much…?"

"I didn't think so." Trish laughed as well.

"So lovely… yet so cruel…" Nichiya grimaced, his face having an impression of Erza's fist.

Erza realized what she did. "I'm sorry! You've just reminded me of a very forward acquaintance!"

Shagotte was in front of Carla, Wendy, and Dante as she talked to them. "You're name is Dante, correct?"

"That's my name, don't wear it out." Dante said in his usual cocky demeanor.

Shagotte bowed in respect. "Thank you for helping to save me and the Exceeds, as well as for your kind words. You are truly a knight in shinning armor."

"Thanks." Dante thanked as he gave a salute with his fingers.

She turned toward Carla. "I think we should take up residence somewhere nearby, don't you?"

"Yeah, than we can visit each other." Wendy liked that idea.

"What in the world are you so chipper about?" Carla asked out loud.

Shagotte smiled as she walked toward her. "Carla…" The younger Exceed was caught in surprise when Shagotte embraced her in a hug. "Now we'll be able to see each other whenever we want!"

Carla did not expect this at all. "Wait…" The more she was in Shagotte's arms, the more some new feeling swept up in her. "She's so warm."

Dante had an honest smile as he saw this.

Happy was having a similar meeting with Lucky and Marl as he talked to the blue female Exceed.

"Be sure to visit us anytime, okay?" Marl offered.

"Aye, aye." Happy promised.

Lucky had his look of comic anger as he slid in front of Happy. "Argh! You don't have to visit, see?!"

"Oh I promise you I will." Happy told him. "I don't know why, but I really like the way the two of you smell."

Marl and Lucky both had tears of joy in their eyes. Of course, Lucky would comically chase Happy, causing the younger Exceed to comically scream as he was being chased.

"If you think you can show up unannounced you've got another thing coming! Check with us before you visit! You're not too old to be bent over my knee!"

Natsu chuckled as he saw this and was joined by Lisanna. "Hey Natsu, I think those two might actually be Happy's parents."

"Oh they're defiantly his parents." Natsu confirmed. "I can tell from how they smell."

"I really am happy for him." Lisanna said with a smile. "You think we should tell him?"

"Nah." Natsu replied as he to smile. "He'll figure it out eventually. But now matter what, he's still got a home in Fairy Tail."

Lisanna nodded to him with a smile.

The members of Fairy Tail looked up with smiles as all the Exceeds took to the skies, including Shagotte with the help of Marl. All the Exceeds gave their goodbyes and thank-yous as they began to fly away.

"So long fur balls!" Dante called to them.

"Bye! We'll see you later!" Natsu called up to.

"If you need us come to Fairy Tail, we'll be happy to help!" Modeus offered.

"Yeah take care!" Lucy called to.

"Bye-Bye for now!" Wendy also called.

Shagotte continued to shed tears of joy as Marl helped her in the air. "Goodbye! I can't thank you enough for everything!"

Lucky was next to them as he bore a comic scowl. "Argh! I can't take much more of this mushy crap."

"Yes, yes, I know dear." Marl told him with closed eyes and a smile.

"I'll miss your sweet parfume!" Nichiya thanked.

"Thanks again!" Nabi also thanked.

All the Exceeds bid their farewells as they left in the skies to find the Exceed children as well as a new home. Despite the dark threat they faced and almost coming to extinction, they we're very optimist as they had a bright future ahead of them.

As they flew, Lucky flew close to Marl and Shagotte as he asked the Queen a question.

"I don't know why you just didn't tell Carla, you're her mom."

"Until we can find all the children I've sent to Earthland six years ago, I'm not fit to call myself a mother." She turned to Lucky. "I could ask you the same thing." She said, referring to Happy.

"Gah!" Lucky exclaimed with a comical and frustrated look. "You gotta be kidding me! I don't need no son that blue!"

Marl knew he was grateful for the chance to see their son, as she was. "I'm just glad we can see him whenever we want."

"That may seem like a good thing, but wait till he's over all the time. I gotta say Queen Shagotte, I had no idea you'd sent your own daughter to Earthland to."

Shagotte gave a peaceful smile as she answered. "I am merely a woman who was named a queen, and just like you, I know how much children mean to their parents."

Lucky smiled. "Ain't that the truth."

With that, the Exceeds vanished from eyesight as the Fairy Tail members were now alone on the wet hilltop as the rain continued to fall.

"Okay, what next?" Dante asked as he, Grey, Erza, Lucy, Lady, Modeus, Lisanna, and Trish, even Erza, all waved their arms up and down like Nabi.

"What else? We head back to the guild and celebrate!" Natsu exclaimed with his usual grin, and waving his arm.

"Sounds like a good idea." Trish said as she too waved her arm. "After all that, I need a drink."

"That makes two of us." Lady added, waving her arm to.

"Yeah but, what are we gonna tell everyone?" Lucy asked, waving her arm.

"Well they have no memories about being transformed into a lacrima" Modeus said, waving his arm. "So it may be rather confusing to them."

"I don't think we really should tell them, since we're all here like nothing ever happened." Grey, waving his arm, suggested.

"Well what of Mystogen?" Erza, also waving her arm, wondered. "As well as another certain individual." She gave a suspicious look toward Lisanna who could only chuckle nervously.

"Hey, what's with your arms?" Wendy asked, referring to the arm waving.

Gajeel looked around and growled slight. "We got a problem."

"This ain't a problem." Dante popped up, still waving his arm. "It's kinda cool."

"Yeah its a lot of fun, you should try it!" Natsu added, waving his arm to.

"Yeah come on do it!" Wendy suggested, waving her arm with everyone else.

"I'm not talking about your fist-pumping you morrons!" Gajeel exclaimed. "Where the hell is my cat!? Don't tell me those flying felines took Lily with them!"

"Who's Lily?" Grey asked.

"Big muscular and bad-ass Exceed." Lady replied.

"The one who was shot down by Nelo Angelo back in Edolas?" Modeus recalled.

"Yeah that's the one." Lady confirmed. "And he survived to. That cat's got some serious skill."

"Are you blind! I'm right here!"

Everyone turned to the sound of his voice only to find Panther-Lily, the once big and brawny Exceed, was now the exact same size as Happy and Carla.

"SO TINY!" Everyone said at the same time with looks of comic surprise.

"But how… what in the… how…" Lady uttered. "You we're all big and badass! How the hell did you end up like that?!"

"Yeah now you're… almost cute…!" Trish questioned with a sweatdrop on her head.

"You're the same size as me." Happy noted.

"Unfortunately, it would seem my previous physique was not well suited for Earthland." Panther-Lily explained, as best he could.

"Yeah… no shit." Dante said in a chuckle, finding this to be actually kind of funny.

"And this doesn't bother you?" Carla questioned.

"Well normally it would yes." Lily answered. "But right now, I want to join the guild that took care of my prince." He pointed to two certain individuals. "You two! Gajeel and Lady! You promised me! You said you'd get me in, can you?"

Lady smirked as she looked to Gajeel who looked to Erza who nodded. Gajeel smirked before he pulled Lily into a hug and shed comic tears of joy.

"Consider it done buddy! Welcome to Fairy Tail!"

"Whoa!" Lucy exclaimed with white circular eyes. "He's crying!"

"Awe, he finally has his cat." Trish teased.

Modeus looked toward Dante with a smile. "Fairy Tail seems to attract very unusual members."

"Yep, you and I are prime examples of that." The red-clad Devil Hunter said in a proud tone of voice. "So, who wants a drink to celebrate? I'm buying!"

Everyone was about to cheer until Erza spoke up. "Hold on! We still have one unfinished piece of business." She looked toward Lisanna.

The white-haired girl looked a bit nervous as everyone had serious looks and set his or her eyes on her. The ones who we're most anxious to get answers we're Natsu and Happy.

"You say you're our Lisanna." Erza began. "How is that possible? We thought you died two years ago! We need answers!"

Lisanna gave a sigh. "The truth was, I didn't actually die that day." Natsu, and everyone else, found themselves listening as she began to tell the story.

Flashback – Two years ago

Lisanna had just been accidentally injured by her out-of-control-transformed brother, Elfman, and was being shaken by her elder sister Mira who believed her to be dying.

"LISANNA! YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP LISANNA!" Mira cried, not noticing a small white hole was forming in the sky, it was an Anima. Because of this, Lisanna's unconscious body was beginning to glow.

"What… why are you glowing!? What's happening!?" The teary-eyed Mira questioned as Lisanna's body began to float upward. "NO DON'T LEAVE ME!" She held onto her younger sister desperately. "YOU CAN'T DISAPPEAR ON ME!" Her body was beginning to fade in Mira's arms. "DON'T GO LISANNA! STAY HERE WITH ME!" She faded completely, leaving a broken and devastated Lisanna.

"At that moment, I must have suddenly been pulled away by an Anima. I'm not sure, but I assumed there must have been all sorts of little ones all over Earthland by those days."

Some time later, Lisanna had woken up and wondered around a bit in Edolas and found herself at the doorsteps of the Edolas Fairy Tail guildhall.

"I was really shocked to find out I woke up in another world, in Edolas."

She struggled a bit, still injured, as she walked into the building. "Is this… my guild?"

"I was confused at first. Everyone looked so different, but I recognized all the people there."

The members of the Edolas Fairy Tail saw her come in and had looks of shock and surprise at the sight of her face. In less than a second, they all burst into cheers and celebrations, causing her to look a bit confused.

"Everyone was so happy because they thought I was the Edolas Lisanna. I found later she was killed by Nelo Angelo."

They all gathered around the confused Lisanna, while the Edolas versions of her older brother and sister comically cried in joy.

"I can't believe it! Lisanna's come back to us!" Edolas Elfman cried.

"I thought for sure Nelo Angelo…" Edolas Mira cried. "I'd thought she was gone for good!"

Lisanna looked even more confused.

"I was beyond confused at the time. But looking back on it, I think I understand why the Anima pulled me in. It was simply trying to fill a void in Edolas, a void that was caused by the other Lisanna's death."

Edolas Mira and Edolas Elfman continued to cry as they embraced her lovingly.

"Please don't ever leave us again! Okay!?" Edolas Mira cried.

"Lisanna!" Edolas Elfman also cried

"Don't cry." Lisanna comforted. "I'm here."

"I couldn't find it in my heart to tell them the truth. So I pretended to be the Edolas Lisanna."

End Flashback

Most of her friends looked in surprise as she told them the story, but none we're more surprised than Natsu and Happy.

"There was some confusion at first." Lisanna continued. "I would apologize and tell them my memory was hazy. I tried to fit in and it got easier as I learned more about Edolas. It didn't take very long to get accustomed to how things worked there, two years passed quickly. But then, Natsu and Happy showed up out of the blue six days ago."

"Why Lisanna?" Natsu questioned. "Why didn't you tell us? You we're with us the whole time! Why didn't you say anything!?"

Lisanna looked down in partial shame. "I'm sorry… I didn't know what to say…" She remembered when she found out, after just avoiding an attack from Erza Knightwalker and Nelo Angelo, how completely shocked she was, how she almost cried.

"There we're just so many thoughts in my head…" Lisanna struggled a bit. "I didn't know how to say it… but when you came… and said what happened to everyone in Fairy Tail… I had to do something I couldn't just sit by and watch you guys go by yourselves! So I had to help you, but I… I didn't say anything maybe because… we we're so focused on stopping the Royal Army and Nelo Angelo it just didn't come up."

"Then it got to the point to where if you we're going to really help us, you had to say the truth." Dante chimed in.

"Yeah." Lisanna nodded. "One thing led to another, then Code ETD, Nelo Angelo and the Dorma Anima, and now, here we are."

Everyone had his or her own expressions at this. To Erza and Grey, a dear friend of there's had just come back from the dead. Lucy, Dante, Trish, Wendy, Carla, Lady, Gajeel, Modeus, and Panther-Lily never knew Lisanna, they only heard the story of how she died so they didn't really had anything to say to this. But to Happy, it was as if one of his own best friends was suddenly alive again and to Natsu, his heart was beating at a speed he didn't know was possible. So many emotions filled him, but one most prominent above all was happiness.

The Fire Dragon Slayer walked toward her and put his hand on her shoulder. She looked up to him as he smiled.

"All that's in the past Lisanna." Natsu said. "What's important is that you're here now. You're home."

Lisanna was surprised to hear him say that. She thought he'd be angry with her for vanishing for two years, for him believing she was dead, but that wasn't the case. She looked back to see Grey and Erza with smiles of their own. Happy to smiled as tears welled up in his eyes. Even those she hadn't knew before hand like Dante, Lucy, Wendy, Modeus, Trish, Lady, and Carla gave her friendly smiles; Gajeel and Lily's expressions we're neutral, but that was fine.

When her eyes set upon Natsu, he gave her his trademark smile. It was that smile that made tears well up in her eyes. The same smile of the boy she grew up with, the one she missed more than anything. She wrapped her arms around him and buried her head in his shoulder as she cried tears of joy.

"Natsu…" She cried as he embraced her back, tears we're threatening to come out his eyes to. "I… I never thought I'd… see you again… I'm so happy!"

Everyone around them had their smiles at such a touching scene. But Natsu knew there was one that could top this. He smiled as he pulled Lisanna away slightly and she smiled at him back.

"Come on." He said to her. "There's a couple of people who need to see ya."

Kardia Cathedral; Magnolia

Mirajane and Elfman Strauss we're both at the cemetery that circled around the cathedral. Just like everyone else in the town, they had no memory of being turned into a lacrima, so it was as if nothing happened to them. Elfman had an umbrella as Mira placed a bouquet of flowers at a grave.

The tombstone bore the Fairy Tail guild symbol as it read "Lisanna Strauss. Beloved sister and a friend to animal souls. X768-X782"

"Come on sis, let's get you out of the rain." Elfman said to Mira in a soft tone.

"Give me a second." She wanted to stay there a little bit longer.

They had somber expressions as they looked at this grave, but they didn't notice someone approaching them until they heard a familiar voice call out their names.

"Mira!"

She gasped as her eyes widened.

"Mira it's me! Hey Big Brother Elf!"

He gave his own gasp at that.

Lisanna was running across the cobblestoned ground toward them as they slowly turned their heads to the sound of that voice. Mira was first; as soon as her eyes set upon the younger girl she gave a loud gasp as it felt like her heat skipped a beat. Elfman turned as well and had the exact same reaction.

Lisanna stopped briefly and looked toward them with a smile as tears welled up in her eyes. Elfman dropped the umbrella he was holding as Mira stood up; they could not believe their eyes. They couldn't believe who was standing in front of them, alive and well.

Not far behind we're Natsu, Dante, Lucy, Grey, Lady, Erza, Happy, Wendy, Modeus, Trish, Carla, Gajeel, and Lily; each of them had their own smiles as they kept a relative distance and let the reunited Strauss Siblings have their moment.

Lisanna cried her tears of joy as she ran toward her shocked and surprised brother and sister.

Tears welled up in Mira's eyes as she her hands we're close to her face. "Is this real?" She breathed, as if this we're just a dream.

Elfman already had tears flowing down his cheeks, thinking the exact same thing as his sister. They more she got closer, the more they realized this wasn't a dream. Their little sister had returned to them.

"Lisanna!" Mira cried as Lisanna leaped at her and the two cried as they embraced each other.

"Hey sis." Lisanna uttered as they we're both embraced by Elfman.

"Welcome home." Mira cried in joy as they held on a bit longer.

Dante gave a satisfying smile at this. Nothing like bringing a family back together. A part of him hoped something similar would have happened for his own family, but he knew that wasn't going to happen. Both his parents we're dead and his brother isn't even the least bit interested, to say the least, but Dante didn't mind cause he had a new family in Fairy Tail, and his new family just gained a new member. He looked to his right and saw the wide grin on Natsu's face, causing Dante to smirk as he had a feeling he knew exactly why Natsu was smiling.

However, as these smiles we're shared among this happy reunion, no one noticed on a rooftop a bit always, one individual was witnessing the whole scene. His body appeared to be that of a human man clad completely in black as he held a book in his right hand. Lightning flashed to reveal his face, he was bald and his right eye was blue while his left was red. On the left side of his face was a burn mark that actually appeared to pulsate. His face bore no expression and was devoid entirely of emotion, but the look in his eyes, it was one of pure malice.

Done.

I have officially finished off the Edolas arc (aside from the epilogue chapter to come to bridge this arc and the next one).

Fairy Tail has now seen the Exceeds off and Lisanna is reunited with her family. Seems like a happy ending, right?

Not for long. I'm sure you all know who this person is at the end. As I've said, I have my own Devil May Cry timeline to fit with the Fairy Tail storyline, so please don't nag me on the details. We all know who it is and he will bring a great deal of trouble to Fairy Tail.

Oh, a side note, I have actually decided to pair Natsu with both Lisanna and Lucy, making it a harem (a threesome to be specific). I know there are a lot of NaLi and NaLu shippers out there so I decided to satisfy both and have all three together. Hope you all like that idea :)
