Hi everyone. Sorry for the wait, but I had to take care of finals for my school, as well as work on a few other of my stories. Before we get started, I noticed some of you had mixed feelings about my decision to pair Natsu with both Lisanna and Lucy. Originally, I was intending to have him with just Lisanna, but it had me at a lost of what to do with Lucy; at first I thought I'd just pair her with Loke, but since he is her Celestial Spirit, it just didn't feel right, plus I did not intend on pairing her with Dante, mostly because I am gonna pair him with Lady, and there is also another reason which will actually be explored later in this arc, and it was hinted in the Edolas arc. If you want to take a guess, just look at the relationship between Edolas Lucy and Edolas Eva.
Also some time ago, I opened up a poll of what I should do with Lucy in terms of pairing. My choices were I'd pair her with Loke, put her in a homosexual relationship with Trish, leave her single, or put her in a threesome with Natsu and Lisanna; the threesome won by a landslide. And after talking with a friend of mine, who has been giving me ideas of what to do with the future of this story, I ultimately decided to go with it. It wasn't a choice I just made on a whim to please both NaLi and NaLu shippers; it was something I thought long and hard over, and I'm a bit excited to be doing it. Don't worry, this fic isn't gonna be like a sexual story that depicts sex scenes or have some people imagine some eye-candy action between these characters; I still plan to maintain the same level of badassery that both Fairy Tail and Devil May Cry are known for.
So yes, I am going with a NatsuXLisannaXLucy pairing.
Now without further delay, I present the next chapter, which concludes the Edolas arc and kicks off my Devil Hand arc.
Dawn of Darkness
Was it day or night? No one could tell, mostly because there we're no windows in this library. In fact, all that was is in this library we're books that hadn't been used in quite some time, evident by the dust that covered most of them. No one had been in this library for a long time, and yet there was only one individual; a man with white hair, a blue robe, a katana at his side, and a look in his eyes that contained little-to-no emotion whatsoever.
Ever since his defeat at the hands of Dante and Fairy Tail, he had been looking for ways to obtain more demonic power for himself. He knew that was the real reason for his defeat; his younger brother combined the power of his newly acquired Devil Trigger with that of the Dragon Force from Natsu Dragneel; that was a power even he could not match. He knew that was the only reason; any talk on bonds, hearts, or humanity from the other Fairy Tail members we're meaningless as he singlehandedly defeated their strongest members. Power was the only thing that mattered in this world, if he was to rule both Earthland and the Demon Realm; he realized that he simply needed more than what he had at his disposal, nothing more than that.
As Vergil read a book, the silence of the library was broken by the sound of footsteps of another man from the shadows that walked closer toward him.
"So, you're looking for the book of ancient legends. The tale of the demon warrior Sparda."
Vergil closed the book and put it back on the shelf, not even looking at this newcomer as he responded.
"That's not what I'm looking for. Leave me."
The man stepped into a more illuminated area; revealing himself to be the same man who witnessed Fairy Tail's return from Edolas yesterday. A man who wore a black suit, carried a book, bore pale skin with no hair, his right eye being blue and his left eye being red, with a large burn mark on the left side of his face.
"Then what are you looking for?" The man asked as he walked closer to Vergil. "A demon that impregnates a woman, who then bares twin sons. That's the story, isn't it?"
In a flash, Vergil drew Yamato and pointed it directly at the man, the blade two inches from his nose, and yet Vergil did not make eye contact.
"Leave me. I won't tell you a third time."
Oddly, the man didn't seem intimidated by this at all. "People, inherently fear evil." He said as he slowly but gently grabbed the blade and ran his thumb along it. "However…" he ran his thumb, despite it cutting and bleeding on the ground. "…Occasionally, a person may become seduced by evil."
Vergil looked curiously toward this man; there was something about him that was quite intriguing. He pulled Yamato away and sheathed it.
"What are you getting at?"
The man bowed his head almost humbly. "Share with me, the story of Sparda." He humbly asked, as the scar on the left side of his face seemed to pulsate.
Vergil raised his eyebrow; perhaps this man could be of use to him after all.
Edolas – Royal City
It had been a full day since the war for Edolas ended, and now the townspeople of the Royal City had begun rebuilding. At the moment, they we're mostly clearing away the debris and would begin reconstructing the buildings shortly. Oddly though, despite loosing all their magic power, there was an air of positivity in the atmosphere.
"Hey, were gonna need more bricks over here!"
"Should have known this would happen. The guy was called the Demon King after all."
"Yeah, but I didn't expect this much damage."
"Now, now lets not fight. We need to focus on rebuilding."
"He's right. It may be a little harder without magic, but we can do it! Are you with me?!"
"YEAH!"
Edolas Gajeel witnessed this from a higher elevation as he took notes in his notepad. He closed it with a smile as he saw all this.
"Things are finally starting to look up around here."
Another person who was watching all this rebuilding and positivity was the newly crowned Edolas King Jellal, formerly known as the Fairy Tail member Mystogen, from a tower of the Royal Palace. He couldn't help but smile at the bright future that he was now building.
One Edolas soldier approached him. "You're majesty, we've brought the remains as well as the prisoners."
King Jellal's smile vanished as he turned around and saw the imprisoned Erza Knightwalker, Byro, Hughes, and Sugarboy, alongside Coco. Behind them was an open casket, being carried by two guards on each side, containing the deceased body of the mad Faust.
Outside the Royal City
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" Edolas Lucy gawked. "You gotta be kidding me!"
Edolas Levy crossed her arms and glared at her rival. "What? Do I look like I'm kidding?!"
Mary decided to step in between. "Come on, lets not fight. We just finished a war."
"Mary, even you gotta admit that this is… just…. Ludicrous!" Edolas Lucy pointed forward to the Edolas Fairy Tail guildhall that sat on top of a massive platform with gigantic wheels, equal to that of twenty bulldozers.
"You guys asked me to find a way to move the Guildhall, this was the best I can do without magic!" Edolas Levy argued.
"She does have a point." Edolas Eva stepped in.
"You guys don't expect us to pull that, do you?" Edolas Macao questioned.
"Like it or not, you're gonna have to." Edolas Levy replied. As she spoke, Edolas Natsu tried his best to discretely sneak away, only to be grabbed by the shoulder by Edolas Lucy.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"No I…" Edolas Natsu almost squealed, but a light bulb appeared at the top of his head. "Hey wait, I've got an idea!" He pointed to his personal car. "We can tow it with my magic-mobile!"
Edolas Natsu was already in the driver's side and had a confident smirk. "My machine's got some serious power. I'm a freaking genius! Oh yeah! GO FIRE!"
It didn't move a single inch. Edolas Natsu looked a bit nervous. "Uh… what's going on?"
He heard a knock on his window and lowered it to see Mary. "Uh Natsu, you do know you can't run a magic-mobile without any magic, which we're completely out of, right?"
"Oh right." Edolas Natsu realized as he lowered his head. "Lucy's gonna kill me."
Mary offered an apologetic smile as she patted his back. "It's okay. You still get an A for effort."
Edolas Cana had a sympathetic look on her face. "Aw, poor Natsu."
"The guy's just an idiot, plain and simple." Edolas Juvia pointed out bluntly.
Edolas Grey popped up next to her. "Right as rain my beloved Juvia."
"Speaking of idiots, would you lay off?" Edolas Juvia told Edolas Grey with an annoying expression.
"That was mean." Edolas Grey turned grey and depressed.
Suddenly, Edolas Lucy had Edolas Natsu in a grip that was bending his back the wrong way.
"I'm sorry Lucy." He strained.
"I had a feeling that you we're gonna screw up." She told him.
"Lucy come on, he's been through more than enough." Edolas Eva told her niece.
"Yes! Please listen to Eva!" Edolas Natsu begged.
Five Minutes Later
Edolas Lucy had her guildmates centered around her as she spoke. "Listen up! The guild isn't gonna drag itself to Royal City, so everyone get to your positions!"
"YEAH!" Everyone cheered.
With that, all the men in the Edolas Fairy Tail took a tow cable and began to literally pull and drag the now-somewhat-portable guildhall to the Royal City.
"Heave! Ho! Heave! Ho! Heave! Ho!"
Edolas Eva saw this with a smile but turned around toward a ridge and saw Edolas Mira looking up toward the sky. She walked toward the younger woman.
"I can guess what you're probably thinking." Edolas Eva said to Edolas Mira. "Don't worry, she's with her family, she's safe."
"I know." Edolas Mira said softly. She felt Edolas Eva put her hand on her shoulder and looked toward her with a smile, it was that smile that told her that everything was gonna be alright.
"Come on. Let's go." Edolas Eva told her, as she knew just what Edolas Mira was thinking. Edolas Eva smiled and turned around to walk back to the moving guildhall.
The older woman looked up toward the sky as she remembered Dante being pulled up, she to had a smile.
"Dante, thank you for everything." She shed a small tear of joy before walking back to her guildmates.
All the men pulling the portable guildhall we're already shedding tears and sweat of exhaustion. Edolas Natsu looked and saw all the women of the Edolas Fairy Tail and looked toward them with an exhausted and confused expression.
"Excuse me, why aren't you ladies helping?"
"How rude!" Edolas Lucy exclaimed. "You should know better than to ask delicate maidens like us to haul that thing!"
That took all the men by surprise. "WHAT?! DELICATE MAIDENS!? YOU!?"
Royal Palace
Several Royal Soldiers we're all lined up as King Jellal walked down a lone line of them with a torch in hand. At the end of the line was the casket containing Faust's body. He had a somber look on his face as he lowered the torch and lit the body, beginning the cremation.
The soldiers stood tall; as did Erza Knightwalker, Sugarboy, Hughes, and Byro. Despite his madness, they still paid their respects to their former king. Even Coco felt saddened as she rubbed a tear from her eye.
As the flames burnt, King Jellal spoke.
"Edolas' Royal City has entered a new era! Its people are now looking forward to the future. However, they haven't forgotten the pain and trouble you caused them in the past." He spoke to the former captains of the Magic Warfare Unit. "Despite being unwitting pawns to the now deceased Nelo Angelo, your efforts nearly resulted in the genocide of not only the Exceed race but all of Edolas' humanity. Therefore, you must be given do-punishment for your actions."
Erza Knightwalker was the first to speak. "We understand. We're willing to face whatever punishment you give us."
King Jellal gave his sentence. "Erza Knightwalker, you are forbidden to leave this city. You are ordered to help rebuild it!"
That took Knightwalker by surprise, causing to her gasp audibly.
"Byro, Sugarboy, Hughes; you are all given the same punishment as Knightwalker." King Jellal ordered, causing them, even Coco, to look just as stunned as the Edolas Erza.
"Care to explain yourself?" Knightwalker questioned.
"Yeah this like awesome, but it's also totally messed up." Hughes said.
Sugarboy placed a hand to his chin. "Hmm, so the Magic Warfare Units don't get the full brunt?"
"I'm afraid I don't understand what you hope to achieve." Byro said to King Jellal.
"Your atonement. Nothing more." King Jellal answered.
"Well then, why don't you simply execute us?" Erza Knightwalker questioned. "We don't want to live our lives in disgrace!"
"Seriously, it's not a big deal, just do it." Hughes agreed.
"In fact, we we're prepared for that punishment. Hmm, hmm." Sugarboy added.
"Oh new King, this is our desire. Won't you please sympathize with our feelings and grant us this one last wish?" Byro requested.
King Jellal looked with a serious expression. "Your feelings are taken into account, but you will not receive the death penalty. That is the easy way out, unlike my father, I will not choose death as a punishment unless I have no other possible choice."
The four of them looked amongst each other; their expressions we're that of relief, confusion, and even some humility. Coco spoke up.
"Um… your majesty…" She said somewhat nervously. "What punishment are you going to give me?"
"None." King Jellal told her. "Coco, you atoned of your own accord; that was your choice. You chose to stand against the Royal Kingdom and fight alongside Fairy Tail, risking your own life in the process. I cannot punish you for simply following your heart. Don't let your past overshadow your accomplishment."
"I won't." Coco said, looking down slightly.
King Jellal spoke to all of them. "I know that even without magic power, each of you possesses amazing and innate abilities, not to mention wisdom and experience, we need your help to rebuild the Royal City."
All five shared looks once more before they faced King Jellal with a final decision. "We will follow you, your highness." Erza Knightwalker bowed on her knee, pledging her loyalty to him; followed by Sugarboy, Hughes, Byro, even Coco.
King Jellal nodded as he motioned for them to rise. "However…" Erza Knightwalker spoke. "I do have one question I wish to ask. Who is Dante?"
"Yeah, who was that guy anyway?" Hughes asked.
"We've never seen any sort of man like him before." Sugarboy added.
"Not only was he able to match Nelo Angelo's strength, but he survived wounds that would normally be fatal to a human being." Byro also said.
"I'd like to know myself." Coco said. "After all he did save my life."
King Jellal smirked a bit. "Alright, I'll tell you. But first, I must tell you a legend that has been passed down in Earthland for centuries." He smirked at the thought of seeing the looks on their faces. "The Tale of the Dark Knight Sparda."
Edolas Fairy Tail Guildhall
While all the men we're still hauling the somewhat portable guildhall outside; all the women we're inside relaxing, some of them we're even drinking tea.
Edolas Lucy gave an exhausted sigh. "Man, this is a life." She said with a smile as she leaned back.
"It's certainly nice now that we aren't being hunted down anymore." Edolas Eva commented.
"This tea is delicious." Edolas Cana said as she finished a sip. "Care for some sugar Mary?"
"Why yes, thank you Cana." Mary said in a very lady-like fashion. "I just wish Dante would be here to join us."
"I'd wish we even got the chance to thank the guy." Edolas Wendy commented. "If it weren't for him and his friends, we'd probably be six feet under."
"Yeah we would, that guy was the coolest guy I ever met." Edolas Lucy said.
Edolas Levy chuckled. "You know what's funny, Lucy? You had a crush on your cousin!" She laughed.
That took Edolas Lucy by comic surprise. "WHAT?! Okay first off, I did not have a crush on him, it was a strong sense of admiration!" She said with red cheeks. "And second, what the hell do you mean by cousin!?"
"Well, he is my son from another world." Edolas Eva pointed out. "And you are my niece, so technically speaking, he is your cousin. The same way Lisanna was Mirajane and Elfman's sister."
"Yeah, that does make sense." Edolas Juvia said.
"But wait, wouldn't that mean he and the Lucy from Earthland are also cousins?" Mary wondered.
"I guess so." Edolas Cana shrugged.
Edolas Lucy looked in honest surprise, before it turned into a smirk. "Well, guess me and the Earthland me are lucky to have such a badass cousin!"
"One that you had a crush on." Edolas Levy sneered mischievously.
"Shut up!" Edolas Lucy said with a red face.
"ARE YOU HAVING A TEA PARTY IN THERE!?" All the men outside towing exclaimed in frustration. "COME OUT HERE AND HELP US!"
Sometime later
"Good job guys! We made it to our destination!" Edolas Lucy exclaimed in victory as the guildhall was now in the Royal City. Meanwhile, all the guys we're beyond exhausted as they lay on the ground with comic ghosts coming out of them.
"Yeah, no thanks to you." They uttered at the same time.
The citizens of Edolas took their presence with surprise.
"What in the world?"
"It seems they dragged that building all the way here."
"I've seen that symbol before somewhere."
Edolas Eva, along with Mary and the Edolas versions of Lucy, Juvia, Wendy, Mira, Cana, Levy, and Bisca all waved and began to draw the attention of everyone that they'd be willing to help.
"Hello people of the Royal City we're Fairy Tail!" Edolas Eva greeted.
"If there's anything you need help with, come to us!" Mary cheerily waved.
"We can solve any problems that you may have!" Edolas Cana announced.
"And nobody can beat our prices!" Edolas Levy pointed out.
"We're running a special for our grand opening so act now!" Edolas Bisca also announced.
"Fairy Tail is always here to help!" Edolas Juvia and Edolas Wendy announced at the same time.
"Come on, step on by!" Edolas Lucy encouraged.
In less than a second, a large crowd of townspeople gathered around them, they we're all quite excited to take this opportunity.
"Whoa! That's great!"
"My roof was damaged during the mess with the Dark Lord!"
"We're gonna need more bricklayers if we're gonna rebuild the city, would you mind lending us a hand?"
"We'd love to!" All the girls cheered with hearts floating around them.
The guys we're still quite tired and looked less than optimistic as they had sweatdrop along the sides of their heads.
"I don't know the first thing about fixing roofs." Edolas Grey whined.
"Me neither, or laying bricks." Edolas Macao complained.
"Oh man." Edolas Natsu already knew this was coming.
Edolas Lucy turned to all of them with an eager grin. "Well, lets go!"
"How can you be so cruel!" All the men complained.
Earthland – Fairy Tail Guildhall
All the members of Earthland's Fairy Tail seemed to go about their normal business, with no memory of being absorbed into an anima. However, his or her conversations came to a screeching halt as someone walked into the guildhall. Their eyes widened in shock as their mouths hung open.
Wearing a blue shirt with green shorts and white tennis shoes was the youngest of the Take-Over-Siblings, thought to have died two years ago.
Lisanna had walked into the guildhall; followed by Dante, Natsu, Happy, Erza, Grey, Modeus, Wendy, Carla, Trish, Lucy, Lady, Gajeel, and Panther-Lily, along with Mira and Elfman.
Stunned silences turned into chatter, as they couldn't believe what they we're seeing.
"But… I thought we'd lost you." Macao stuttered.
"So you… were alive… all along?" Wakaba stuttered as well.
Lisanna nodded with a smile, but it turned into a gasp as many guild members practically stampeded toward her.
"LISANNA!" They cried with tears of joy.
*POW!*
"KEEP YOUR FILTHY PAWS OFF HER!" Elfman exclaimed as he comically sent them flying with his iron-bull arm. Lisanna looked completely stunned, never seeing her brother this fierce before.
"Damn, no need to get overboard dude." Dante commented with a sweatdrop on his head and a bit of a smirk, finding that scene to be actually somewhat hilarious.
"I think they're just happy to see her man." Natsu added, also with a sweatdrop.
"Yeah, chill out." Happy also added.
"Oh my goodness." Mira chuckled slightly while still having her sweetly smile.
Everyone else looked at these antics with relieved smiles, happy to see all their guildmates still alive.
"Glad to see everyone's in one piece." Trish commented.
"I'm so happy to see it all back to normal." Lucy added.
"Yeah no joke, and it looks like they don't have a clue about the anima stuff." Grey said with a grin.
"We will have to tell them eventually, with Lisanna returned to the guild as well as Mystogen." Modeus commented, though he had a smile on his face as well.
"I'm just glad everyone is safe and sound." Erza said.
"Pretty crazy, ain't it?" Gajeel commented.
"So this is what its like to be in a guild." Lily observed.
"Better get used to it fur-ball." Lady told him with a smirk.
While Lisanna smiled nervously at her older brother's antics, Master Makarov walked up toward her.
"Lisanna…"
She turned toward the old and short man. "Master!"
Natsu, Dante, and Happy especially paid attention as Makarov spoke to Lisanna.
"I was so worried." He looked to the white-haired girl with eyes filled with relief and joy. "I consider those who have been raised by this guild my own children." Lisanna looked a bit surprised as he continued. "Every parent worries about their children, and every parent has faith in their children." At that, Dante held the silver and red amulet given to him by his mother as he thought of her and the Edolas version of her; no one seemed to notice Cana sparing a glance at Gildarts. "You can spare me the details another time, same with the rest of you." He spoke toward Dante and Natsu.
"No prob, Gramps." Dante said with a nod.
Makarov gave a large smile. "Today we'll all celebrate your return to Fairy Tail!"
Lisanna was brought to tears of joy. "Oh thank you! I just can't believe it! I've come home, and I'll never leave again!"
"You can, child." Makarov assured. "For no matter where you go, this will always be home. Welcome back, Lisanna dear."
"WELCOME BACK LISANNA!" The entire Fairy Tail guild cheered.
Tears of joy came to Lisanna's eyes as she leaped and hugged the little old man. "Thank you master!" Her hug was actually quite tight that she was comically squeezing him.
Lucy gave a comic screech. "She tackled him!" She exclaimed with circular eyes.
Wendy had a similar expression. "Be careful the Master's fragile!"
Lady actually had an amused look on her face. "That girl's got spunk."
Lisanna cried joyously into Makarov's neck as he winched slightly in the tight embrace. "There, there; get out child, before the party begins."
A Few Minutes Later
The guild had been given a brief run down of what happened in Edolas. Dante put it simply 'a psycho king tried to gain unlimited power while a genocidal demon tried to take it over for Mundus, but we kicked all their asses. Oh, there are parallel versions of pretty much everyone there, and Mystogen is the Edolas Prince'. Once that was done, the party was well underway as a massive banner hung up saying 'Welcome Back Lisanna!' complete with a heart and a Fairy Tail symbol.
"CHEERS!" Several people slammed their glasses and mugs together as they drank.
A girl in green with purple hair and eyes was serving drinks to everyone. "Okay, who's ready for another round?" She asked with a cheery smile outloud.
"Over here Kinana!" One wizard asked the girl, who's apparent name was Kinana.
"I can use one to!"
"Take a break and come party with us!"
Lisanna saw this from the upper balcony alongside her brother and sister and couldn't help but smile.
"I can't believe how much everybody's changed." She turned to her older sister. "Although I'd say you've changed the most Mira." She commented, remembering her previous 'She-Devil' sister.
"Who me?" Mira asked with a sweetly smile.
Lisanna still smiled at her guildmates down below. "But it doesn't matter, because it's the same Fairy Tail I remember."
"Lisanna." She turned to see it was Freed addressing her with a sincere smile as he stood alongside Bickslow and Evergreen.
"This is a rocking day babies!" Bickslow exclaimed happily to his dolls.
"Hell yeah!" The dolls agreed.
"I am glad you made it home in one piece." Freed told her.
"Yes, welcome back Lisanna." Evergreen greeted.
"The Thunder Legion!" Lisanna walked up to them in surprise. "I never expected to see you here!"
"Well I can understand why you'd be surprised." Evergreen replied as she put a fan in front of her face. "But consider the guild's name." She took a seductive pose with her hair flowing out as opposed to having been previously tied in a ponytail "'Fairy' I'm the most fairy-like."
"Hey is it just me, or is her hair different?" Lucy wondered, seeing her from her apparent location.
It wasn't just Evergreen. Apparently Juvia's hair had grown out to as she sported her 'rain-woman' outfit. "Okay, what's gotten her all depressed?" Trish wondered.
"Is that rain?" Wendy wondered as a rain cloud hovered over the rain woman.
"Wonder what's gotten into her." Lucy wondered as she, Trish, and Wendy looked at her.
"She certainly doesn't seem very happy." Wendy noted.
"Best guess: a gossipy blue cat told her about the Edolas Grey and how he was head-over-heels for that Juvia." Trish guessed.
Her assumption was spot on as it was Happy who told not only Juvia about that, but other people in the guild about some of the differences between them and their Edolas counterparts. Even Grey was laughing about it when he talked with Cana.
"You should see the other world you!" He laughed toward Cana. "Just the thought of it makes me crack up!"
Cana groaned. "Come on, will you just spill it already? I'd like to get back to drinking!"
The three women saw this, along with Juvia as she uttered. "I want to meet the Edolas Grey."
"Okay, I get it now." Lucy commented as she looked with closed lines for eyes.
"It ain't just them, look." Trish pointed behind them to Bisca and Alzack as their faces we're read and they each had their backs to each other with fingers pressing together. Apparently Happy told them about their Edolas doubles to. This caused both Wendy and Lucy to sweatdrop.
"I LOVE BEING IN A GUILD!" Natsu cheered with fire out of his mouth as he broke down several tables. "DON'T YOU HAPPY!?"
"AYE, AYE, SIR!" Happy exclaimed in joy.
A few wizards we're looking quite annoyed.
"Hey, pipe down!"
"Yeah, quit busting up the place!"
"I wonder if the Edolas Natsu is as crazy as our is."
Kinana walked by. "If so, I feel really bad for his guild."
Dante and Lisanna both turned to that group of wizards and Kinana, both had smirks on their faces.
"Oh you wish." Dante smirked.
"Yeah, he's more like…" Lisanna began to imitate the Edolas Natsu. "'Why are you so mean to me Lucy? What I'd ever do to you?' He's a wimp!"
That caused all four of them to laugh quite hard.
"Wow! No way!"
"What I wouldn't give to meet Natsu-the-crybaby!"
"It's so funny it hurts!"
"That's hilarious!" Kinana laughed.
"Quit laughing at the other me right now!" Natsu exclaimed in embarrassment, having heard that."
"Sorry, but I think its cute!" Lisanna said while giggling a bit to.
"You guys think that's funny." Dante chuckled. "Get a load of the Lady in Edolas!" That got the attention of said black-haired-Devil-Hunter. "She's like 'Oh I would never go into battle, my pretty dress will get ripped up'."
That caused them to laugh even more, Natsu included. "Yeah! Lady as an actual lady!" Natsu laughed.
Lady suddenly appeared behind Natsu flashing a red-eyed glare. "Care to say that again, Fire-breath?" She warned in a dark tone.
Natsu became comically spooked. "Sorry" He began to think in exhaustion. "She can be as scary as Erza."
Happy flew over to Gildarts as he sat at the bar.
"Yo Happy! I hear you we're kicking but over in Edolas." Gildarts commented.
"Aye!" Happy commented as Dante walked over to the pair.
"Yeah, the old fur-ball can actually kick some ass, who knew?" Dante complemented.
"Aw Dante, you're making me blush." Happy said with a grin. "But not to change the subject, but there's a pyromaniac on the loose. Would you mind knocking some sense into him, Gildarts?"
Both Dante and Gildarts laughed. "Come on, the guy's girlfriend is back cut him some slack."
"Yeah, lets wait till the party's over." Gildarts agreed.
Natsu enthusiastically charged in anyway. "Screw waiting till its over! I'll take both you guys on right now!"
In less than a second, Gildarts gave a slight chop that sent Natsu to the ground hard. Though Happy looked shocked, Dante gave a chuckle.
"You we're kinda asking for that one bro." Dante commented to Natsu.
Panther-Lily saw this, as well as the rest of Fairy Tail's rowdiness. "Well, they certainly are a noisy bunch, aren't they."
"I think that's most people's first impressions." Carla replied.
"There's never a dull moment." Happy chimed in.
Modeus walked over to the three Exceeds. "Fairy Tail may be rough at times, but they've got it where it counts."
Lily looked onward. "So everyone here has a magic power of some sort?"
Erza Scarlet joined them. "That is correct, the same is true for all Earthland wizards."
"Erza." Lily noticed her presence.
"If I recall, you worked alongside a less-than-friendly Erza Knightwalker in Edolas." Modeus recalled.
"You're gonna like ours better." Happy mumbled as he chewed on a raw fish.
"However, I don't think it's the magic itself that's most important. I believe it's the hearts of those who wield it. Wouldn't you agree, Lily?" She said to him with a warm smile.
Lily gave a smile. "You may be a different person, but I have to admit, I find it comforting to have a familiar face around."
Suddenly, Gajeel bursted through several tables, and unfortunate wizards, with an enthusiastic grin on his face.
"I GOT A WAGER FOR YOU AND THE LITTLE GIRL SALAMADNER! I BET YEAH MY LILY CAN KICK THE EVERY LIVING CRAP OUT OF YOUR PUNY CATS!" Gajeel challenged somewhat insanely.
"Oh yeah?" Natsu questioned with an anger anime mark on his head.
Gildarts gave a laugh. "Your kitty up to the challenge?"
Dante chuckled to. "We got a free-for-all cat fight ladies and gentleman! Place your bets!"
Lady smirked. "You ask me, it seems pretty one-sided." She commented, having seen Lily in action first hand.
Modeus, Trish, Lucy, and Levy looked a bit nervous, while Wendy almost looked terrified.
"Would this count as some form of animal cruelty?" Modeus questioned.
"I doubt they care." Lucy replied.
"Don't worry Wendy, I'm sure Carla can take them." Levy tried to assure the Sky Dragon Slayer.
"I wouldn't bet on it." Trish advised.
Natsu and Gajeel we're clashing their heads together as a red-orange aura surged around Natsu while a grey-silver one surrounded Gajeel; both glaring while also smirking evilly.
"Go ahead and make my day you punk!" Natsu challenged.
"I will!" Gajeel accepted.
"Do we have any say?" A nervous Happy popped up, but was ignored.
"Ain't now way you guys can beat my Lily! He's the strongest with a capital S!" Gajeel stated.
"We'll see about that!" Natsu retorted. "Cause Happy's a cat with a lower-case c!"
"That's not how it works Natsu." Dante pointed out.
"Yeah… and I don't stand a chance against him." Happy tried.
Carla looked toward the blue exceed almost swooningly. "Now don't sell yourself short Happy, you can't give up when you hadn't even tried."
Happy looked in surprise as his cheeks became pink. "You mean it? You really think I got a shot?"
Dante gave a whistle. "Someone's getting some lady action." He chuckled.
Lady also smirked mischievously as she leaned in close to Happy. "You liiike her." She teased.
Happy's face became red as steam came from his head. "Hey! That's my thing copy-cat!"
Lily decided to intervene. "Now hold on." He spoke to Happy. "Despite my current appearance, I was a division commander back in Edolas. If we we're to fight, you could be seriously injured."
"You got a good point." Happy relented.
"Well, that was quite mature of you." Modeus said, quite impressed.
"It only seems that way, cause their childish." Lily replied.
"Well you do have to admit, it's actually quite refreshing." Erza noted.
Lily turned to Happy and Carla with a smile. "Well I for one hope the three of us can be friends from now on."
"Aye sir." Happy nodded with a smile.
"Very well." Carla nodded as well.
Wendy breathed a sigh of relief at the thought of a fight being avoided. Dante to smirked before he looked toward Carla and then spoke to her.
"Hey Carla." Dante got her attention. He rubbed the back of his neck. "About what I said in Edolas… me accusing you… I'm not good at apologies but… I guess I was wrong about you."
Carla looked a bit surprised before she spoke. "No, you were right to be suspicious. Had I been more open about my knowledge of the Exceeds, perhaps that whole mess could have been avoided." She gave an ironic chuckle. "I suppose this is karma of my accusations toward you when you joined Fairy Tail and your past reared its ugly head."
Dante shrugged. "Yeah well everyone's got demons in their past, no pun intended, but you did also risk your life to make up for it, and you managed to pull more than your own weight. So I'd say we're even. Kay cat?" He offered his fist for a fist-bump with a smirk.
Carla looked amused as she returned the gesture with her paw. "I suppose we are, thank you Dante."
Wendy couldn't help but smile at that scene, even Lucy and Modeus both smiled. However, their eyes we're diverted to a comic dust cloud of Natsu, Gajeel, Grey, Elfman, Max, and Warren fighting.
"Would someone care to explain how this happened?" Modeus asked out loud in regards to the fighting.
"Well I'm definitely jumping in!" Dante said enthusiastically. "Lucy, hold these!" Dante tossed to her Rebellion, Ivory, and Ebony as he jumped into the fistfight with his own fists.
"Wha… Dante!" Lucy complained about holding all these weapons.
Juvia saw Grey in the scuffle and immediately came out of her depressed state. "Flesh striking flesh repeatedly with force! I'll join you!" She tried to strip like how Grey does.
"You don't strip!" Lucy exclaimed, still holding Dante's weapon.
Freed pulled his sleeve up. "I suppose I should take advantage of getting the chance to let loose."
Bickslow joined in. "Yeah! That's what I'm talking about!"
"Hell yeah!" Bickslow's dolls cheered.
Even Nab was pumped up. "If you guys are joining in, then I am to!"
The three jumped in while Lady and Trish crossed their arms. "Boys." Trish sighed.
"I know, why should they have all the fun?" Lady questioned as she smirked along with Trish.
"Lucy, hold onto these to!" Trish and Lady both tossed Lucy the Sparda-Sword, Luce and Ombra, along with the bazooka and other pistols respectively, in addition to Rebellion, Ebony, and Ivory; while the two female Devil Hunters joined in on the slugfest.
"Guys! Wait I can't hold all this!" Lucy complained as she tripped and fell on the ground with all the swords and guns piled on top of her.
Wendy looked to the fight nervously. "You guys need to calm down, cause its getting out of hand!"
"Let them have their fun Wendy." Modeus assured with a smile. "I'm certain they won't seriously hut each other."
Lucy's head stuck out of the pile of weapons from the Devil Hunters she was forced to hold. "Get used to it, cause it happens a lot."
Lisanna walked up. "Its part of what makes Fairy Tail so much fun." She said with a smile as she helped Lucy out of the weapons pile. The white hair girl smiled to her, which Lucy returned with her own smile.
Wendy sighed, as she knew she couldn't stop this, but also knew that they wouldn't seriously hurt each other. However that had her thinking. She then turned toward the former pacifist demon.
"Hey, Modeus." She got his attention. "Listen, I wanted to apologize to you."
"Apologize? For what?" Modeus asked.
"When we we're fighting Faust and Nelo Angelo, I didn't really do all that much. All I did was provide support for Dante, Natsu, and Gajeel and you got stuck fighting Nelo Angelo all alone. I know you unlocked your own Devil Trigger and all that, but… I could tell that you we're struggling so hard against him."
Modeus gave Wendy an assuring smile. "There is no need for you to apologize Wendy. I know you did everything you could there."
Wendy looked to Modeus with a serious and unwavering expression. "That's exactly the problem."
Modeus looked in surprise as Wendy spoke with a serious expression and tone of voice.
"Clearly what I have to give isn't enough." Wendy continued. "And that's not me feeling sorry for myself like before, it's a fact. Natsu and Gajeel are Dragon Slayers just like me, but they can do a whole lot more in terms of fighting; the most I can do is just provide support and healing. Not to mention them and everyone else are always trying to protect me because they know I can't give the same kind of level as power. So I ask you Modeus, will you train me?"
That caught Modeus by surprise. "What? You wish for me to train you?"
"That's right." Wendy nodded. "I want to be able to pull my own weight, so my friends aren't always fighting while trying to protect me at the same time. I want to be strong enough so not only can I fight alongside my family here in Fairy Tail, but so I can protect them to. So please Modeus…" She bowed her head. "Will you take me as your student? Will you train me like how Sparda trained you?"
Modeus saw the look in Wendy's eyes. He could tell this was something she had thought well and hard over. He could feel her resolve, and needless-to-say, he was quite impressed.
"Very well, I will train you."
Wendy smiled as she looked up toward him.
"However." Modeus began to warn her. "You should know, with the kind of level that you want to reach, it will not be easy. You should be prepared for some very difficult work."
Wendy didn't loose her smile. "That's exactly what I'm counting on. Thank you."
Modeus gave a smile toward his newly christened student in response. Carla happened to overhear what they we're discussing. Though she still remained somewhat protective of the young girl, she couldn't help but feel some sort of pride in seeing Wendy wish to become stronger. That had the white Exceed smile.
"Hey Natsu, Dante." Makarov called out to them as the two turned away from the fight they we're recently in.
"What is it old man?" Dante asked.
"Let me ask you, what was I like in this other world that you visited?"
"You mean the Edolas version of you?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah, tell me about him." Makarov confirmed. "Was he the opposite of me?"
"Well… now that you mention it." Natsu tried to remember, when it suddenly came to him. "No way." He looked toward Dante, who had the same expression as he thought the same thing.
Both of them immediately thought of King Faust. "I knew something about that old guy seemed familiar but… Damn." Dante thought with a serious expression. "Now it actually makes sense."
Makarov looked confused. "What makes sense?"
"I think you we're the King gramps!" Natsu pointed out.
"The King of Edolas?" Makarov questioned in surprise.
"Yeah." Dante confirmed. "While you are a short cool guy, that guy was a full-blown tyrant and a genocidal maniac. So yeah, definitely the opposite of you."
That earned a shocked look from Makarov. "I tried to commit genocide?!"
"Oh yeah." Natsu nodded. "You even flew around in this massive dragon-armor-thing and tried to kill everyone! The guy was a total whack job!"
"I see." Makarov said. "So, what happened to him?"
"I killed him." Dante said with a serious expression, causing Makarov to look quite shocked. "Sorry Gramps, but when someone threatens to kill my friends, I don't hold anything back."
Oddly though Makarov smiled. "Well said, my boy. If I we're in your shoes Dante, I world have done the exact same thing. You and Natsu are both true members of Fairy Tail and have done me proud!"
Both the Son of Sparda and the Son of Igneel shared smirks. "Thanks Gramps." Dante told him.
Gildarts spoke up next. "So what about me huh? What was I like in Edolas?" He asked with a smug expression. "Was I a dashing prince or a great soldier?"
Dante and Natsu looked to each other in confusion. "You know, I don't think I remember seeing you Gildarts." Natsu told him. "I guess you we're a frog or fish or something."
"Or you we're probably dead." Dante said bluntly.
"That's not funny you guys!" Gildarts comically complained.
Most of the people in the fight we're then suddenly calling out to them. "Aren't you the one that started this Pyro?!" Grey called out.
"You jumped in to Dante! Start something you finished!" Lady told him.
"Yeah! Come fight us like real men!" Elfman called to them.
"You better or we're gonna kick the crap out of you!" Gajeel called out.
"You guys getting cold feet or what?" Trish joked to them.
Freed had a bit of a smug expression as he rubbed his wrist. "Only a coward would turn their back on a fight they initiated. We're finally seeing the Salamander's true color…."
"Shut up looser!" Natsu angrily slugged Freed in the face as he jumped in. Dante tackled Natsu from behind as he rejoined the fight.
"Don't turn your back on an opponent bro!" Dante challenged as the fight reignited.
Makarov and Gildarts both looked quite amused at this. "You kids." Makarov chuckled. He got a serious expression as the Fairy Tail guild master addressed the most powerful wizard in his guild.
"Gildarts, tell me something. Do you think Mystogen is going to be okay over there in Edolas? I know I sound like an old fool but I can't help but worry about my children."
He understood what his master was saying, but still Gildarts maintained a confident smile.
"I'm sure he'll be fine. After all, he grew up in this guild, he'll always be one of us."
Unknown to both of them; Mystogen was indeed doing alright for he was working hard to rebuild Edolas, even working alongside the Edolas Fairy Tail to help build better relations.
Makarov smiled and chuckled, as he knew Gildarts was right. "So how long are you planning to stay in town this time?"
Gildarts shrugged. "Don't know, haven't decided yet."
"There's something I'd like to discuss with you." Makarov told him.
"Yeah, what is it? Why so formal?"
Elsewhere in Earthland
A strange building stood in between several mountains. It had the appearance of a green crystal-like structure with a red crystal orb in the center. This odd looking building served as the headquarters of the newly formed Magic Council.
Inside the building; eight of the members of the Magic Council stood on the hands of angel-like statues with the chairman standing at the center on top of a large pillar.
"This is disgraceful!" One member exclaimed. "I've never seen so many incident reports!"
"It is alarming. Especially since they are the result of a single guild's indiscretions."
"Fairy Tail. They caused plenty of headaches for our predecessors."
One member however didn't seem to have such hostile opinions toward that guild. "While they can be troublesome, they are not deserving of such criticism." Org, the only remaining member of the previous Magic Council, spoke out. "After all, we owe them for wiping out the Oracion Seis of the Baram Alliance…"
"We owe them?!" Another member questioned. "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard Master Org!"
"I'm afraid there is no record of the Magic Council approving of their operation."
"As far as we can tell, it was a band of local guilds acting of their own accord."
"And to make matters worse, even though they declared war against a Dark Guild, their actions put them in violation of the Inter-Guild-Conflict-Ban Treaty!"
"I worry this incident could trigger retaliation of the Baram Alliance against the local guilds."
"I don't think there's cause for concern. The Dark Guilds involved in the Baram Alliance aren't part of an actual alliance, its more of a non-aggression pact."
"There is one other matter we must discuss." One member spoke up. "Rumors have spread that a certain Devil Hunter mercenary has joined Fairy Tail."
"Devil Hunters, people who believe slaying demons can be a simple profession. What a bunch of arrogant buffoons."
"So who is this new member that we must discuss?" Master Org asked.
"As I said, they we're rumors at first. However, a couple of our agents within the town of Magnolia have confirmation. His name is Dante, and he is, I kid you not, the son of Sparda!"
That caught everyone in the chamber by surprise; all their eyes widened as it became silent for a brief second.
"Sparda had a son?! How is that possible?!"
"So Fairy Tail has a demon now in their ranks?!"
"Sparda himself was a thorn for our predecessors as well. He would constantly question and speak out against the Magic Council, saying that weapons such as the Etherion are inhumane and should not be controlled by anyone! Just who did he think he was questioning the authority of the Magic Council!?"
"Have you forgotten!" Master Org spoke up. "Sparda was the one who saved our entire world from the Demon Realm two millennium ago! He has continued to defend our world from other similar powerful demons! If it weren't for him, I doubt we'd be standing here right now! Now in regards to his Son, even if he is a demon, he has not done anything that would threaten the Magic Council!"
"You must have had similar thoughts when you allowed a mere thought projection to infiltrate the previous Magic Council!" One member shot to Master Org. "But now we have the chance to assert ourselves! Sparda's son or not, we must show the rest of the guilds that we won't put up with this sort of behavior!"
"Chairman, what do you say?"
"If we are to regain the trust that the old Magic Council squandered, then we must crack down on these problematic guilds."
The Chairman was an elderly man with a long grey beard, who wore some form of armored robes with a black hat and a golden snake staff. His name is Gran Doma. He slammed his staff hard on the platform he was on to emphasize the amount of political power he had.
"Fairy Tail won't get another chance! One more incident and they're disbanded!"
Org looked down, it appeared he was disappointed in the Chairman's decision.
"What's the matter Org? Are you dissatisfied?" Gran Doma questioned.
He hesitated before answering. "No sir."
"I'm amazed by your naivety. To think you we're thoroughly fooled by a projection. Do you realize that how incredibly reckless it was to allow the R-System to be activated?!"
"I do sir." Org nodded.
"Summon them!" Gran Dorma ordered.
"Yes Chairman!" One member then summoned two of their agents. "Lahar and Doranbolt, come to the council at once!"
Gran Dorma spoke up once more. "We uphold the sanctity of order in the Magic World!"
"For the sanctity of order! For the sanctity of order!"
Fairy Tail guildhall
Dante groaned as he lifted his head up from a table. "Damn… really should consider stop drinking." He chuckled. "Yeah, that'll be the day." He looked around and saw the whole Guildhall in a complete wreck; and pretty much all its members either sleeping or passed out.
"That's one thing I love about this place, they party like there's no tomorrow." Dante smiled before he heard a snoring and looked to his right to see it was Elfman who held both a sleeping Mira and Lisanna in his arms. That earned an honest smile from Dante.
Deciding to get some fresh air, he decided to take a walk. Dante walked out of the guildhall and into the night in Magnolia. After walking a bit through the quiet town, he couldn't help but smile as he looked toward the moon. Eventually, he made his way to Cardiac Cathedral and walked past a series of graves.
He walked past Lisanna's grave and smiled a bit. He knew they'd have to probably take that down, but that could be a bit pricey.
Dante continued to walk and even past a grave that read "Baul. A Warrior of the Sword. Beloved Brother" This was the grave of Modeus' brother. He may have been an opponent for Dante, but he still owed Modeus this much so he made arrangements for Baul to receive his own grave.
The next grave Dante passed read "Layla Heartfilia. X748-X777. Beloved Mother" This was the grave of Lucy's mother. Dante was told about the war with Phantom Lord and about Lucy's estranged relationship with her father. He knew what it was like to loose a parent, but was quite surprised when Lucy's dad arranged to have Layla's grave moved to Magnolia. He paid his respects here and silently thanked Layla for having a pretty awesome daughter.
The final grave that Dante stopped at read "Eva. X745-X777. Beloved Mother." This was the grave of his own mother. When Dante decided to stay with Fairy Tail, after dealing with that whole Vergil-mess, Makarov made arrangements to have his mother's grave moved to Magnolia. Dante couldn't be more grateful for that. Once Dante looked at the grave, he took his part of the Perfect Amulet that he always carried with him; he thought about the childhood he had with her, as well as meeting the Edolas version of Eva. He'd be lying if he didn't say he was happy about that; it gave him the chance to say goodbye, even if they we're different people.
Dante chuckled at the thought of it. In another world, his mother was a member of that version of Fairy Tail and a freedom fighter. "She's the same no matter which world she's in"
Yet, once he thought about that, something else came to mind. He remembered how he heard the Edolas Eva was the aunt to the Edolas version of Lucy. So that had him thinking…
"If that is true… could my mom be Lucy's aunt here in Earthland? If that's the case… are Lucy and I cousins?"
That thought caught Dante by surprise. Could they be? Now that he thought about it, he really didn't remember all that much from his childhood; only a few memories, but he didn't even know his mom had any relatives, so there was a possibility.
"I'll look into it later." Dante smiled as he looked to the moon. His smile however faded when he realized something.
"If Lucy is my cousin, that would also mean, so is Vergil." He looked serious as he glanced up at the moon.
"Just what are you up to now, Vergil?"
Elsewhere
Speaking of Vergil, the aforementioned elder son of Sparda stood alongside his new associate, the same man he met in the library, in front of some ruins, a large staircase led to a large door.
"The activation method is as I described before. It should be a simple matter for you."
"Arkham." Vergil spoke to the apparent man named Arkham. "Do you take me for a fool?"
"How do you mean?"
"You are aware the seven demon guardians, who's names my father confiscated, to seal it away, have somehow found methods of escaping their imprisonment. I have slain one, while my brother has slain the rest." Vergil told him, revealing how he acquired the Beowulf Devil Arm, while also revealing how Dante got the Devil Arms Cerberus, Agni & Rudra, and Nevan, as well as the styles Quicksilver and Doppelganger.
"How they escaped is beyond me." Vergil continued. "But without the demons to be given the names of their sins, the tower cannot be activated. Therefore it is rendered inoperable. Perhaps my father purposely made it that way, so if the demons we're killed, this place would remain sealed."
"I am indeed aware of this." Arkham said. "However, there is more than one way to open the door. We must find seven beings who can not only bare the same level as power, but whose souls are also compatible with the Seven Deadly Sins."
"Finding demons that powerful could be problematic." Vergil said.
"Who said they had to be demons?" Arkham asked, earning a raised eyebrow from Vergil. "The souls of man can also be corrupted, in some cases, certain humans can wield even greater darkness than some demons. In fact, I believe I know the perfect individuals to serve our mutual goal."
Vergil looked toward Arkham suspiciously. "It would seem you have this all figured out. Why not simply acquire the power for yourself? Why did you come to me?"
"Because our goal is a mutual one." Arkham replied. "Rather than fighting each other to gain this power, we can work together to obtain it and spare a great deal of trouble, as well our efforts combined will serve a better opposition to those who would stand against us, whom are not to be underestimated. After all, you we're indeed defeated by a human guild."
Vergil gave a subtle glare toward Arkham. "What is your point?"
"This will no doubt attraction of several interlopers, your brother and Fairy Tail, being the most likely." Arkham said. "If we are to stand against such a guild, we must form one of our own."
Vergil looked toward Arkham with a subtle surprise in his cold eyes. "Form our own guild? Do you think that is wise? Such an action will attract more attention than just my brother and Fairy Tail, but also the ambitious Magic Council and even the short-sighted Dark Guilds in the Baram Alliance."
"Do you fear these pests?" Arkham questioned.
"No, I simply do not wish to deal with inconvenient annoyances." Vergil said honestly. The truth was, Vergil could easily rid himself of the Magic Council and even some of the higher ups in the Baram Alliance, though the master of Grimoire Heart could be a challenge, but Vergil was certain he could take him.
"A necessary risk." Arkham said. "This will be the only way we can resurrect the tower." Vergil did not respond, which was all Arkham needed. "I shall gather the seven." Arkham turned to leave. "As well as any lesser demons that will likely follow us. You should dispose of any obstacles quickly."
In just a few seconds after Arkham left, four creatures began to emerge from the ground around Vergil. These demons we're red and white, the colors pulsating around them, and appeared to bare some form of energy-scythe. Vergil looked to acknowledge their presence, but wasn't intimated in the least.
They all tried to jump him and cut him to pieces, but Vergil quickly used his sheathed blade to block their weapons before he fluently drew Yamato…
*SLICE!*
One of the demons was sliced in half down the middle, causing it to fall apart and die. He blocked the attack of the second demon before slicing it diagonally, while quickly turning back with the two demons coming toward him, cutting them both in half, killing them as well.
In less than a minute, these four demons that would terrify any normal person we're cut down like confetti. But, not soon after, more demons emerged from the ground and quickly attacked Vergil.
He easily swerved to avoid a vertical slice from one demon, before slicing it in half. Three more tried to jump him at the same time, but he gave a roundhouse to knock them all into the air before he flashed past them with his blade, and all three fell apart into literal shreds less than a second later. Only a select few demons remained, like before, he dealt with them rather quickly. He rushed past them before they could even blink with his outstretched katana. They quite literally fell to pieces shortly after.
Vergil twirled his katana to throw off any demon blood on it before he slid it back into its sheath. He noticed his hair had fallen down so he was quick to use his hand to brush it back up to his preferred style.
He reached into his coat and pulled out the gold and red amulet and looked at it. He knew what he had to do. It didn't matter who stood in his way; the Magic Council, the Baram Alliance, Fairy Tail, even his own brother. If anyone tried to stop him from acquiring the power he was destined to have, he would kill them without question.
"Are you ready, brother? Our rematch is approaching."
Done.
So while Fairy Tail celebrates, the new Magic Council is sure to keep a close eye on them. But the Magic Council will be the least of their worries know that not only Vergil and Arkham have joined forces but are planning on forming their own Dark Guild. If Fairy Tail thought they had enough trouble with just Vergil, they will not be prepared for any tricks that Arkham may have planned for them.
To make things clear, the upcoming arc will have a similar storyline to the Devil May Cry 3 game, but there will be some obvious changes. First off, all the bosses from DMC3 will not be present in this arc. I know that many of them are awesome, but Dante and Vergil already have the powers/Devil Arms the player of the game gets from defeating those bosses. So instead, I have OC characters, the ones Arkham was talking about, filling in those roles. In my timeline (the DMC portion of it) the demons that we're originally locked in the tower have escaped and were already slain by Dante and Vergil, which is why they have their respective Devil Arms and Styles. I also plan on adding my own elements to the story to keep it interesting so it doesn't seem like a carbon copy of DMC3.
There is something I think you may have noticed. Yes, in my Fairy May Cry storyline; Lucy is the cousin of both Dante and Vergil (which is why I choose not to pair Lucy with Dante). Lucy does NOT have any demon blood; Eva is the older sister of Lucy's mother Layla, so Lucy is a full-blooded-human. Dante and Lucy will both find out eventually, which will be an important piece in my overall story. I think maybe you all noticed, Eva died on the same year that Layla died, the same one where Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy lost their Dragons. Coincidence? (Evil Laugh)
One thing I will say about this specific arc. Vergil is NOT going to die here. I have plans for him. That is all I'm going to say. I'll see you soon with the next chapter as I start up my Devil Hand Arc.
Jackpot!
