Hi everyone. Onto the next chapter of the Devil Hand arc in Fairy May Cry we go. It may be a bit before we see the rise of a certain tower, but in the meantime this chapter may give us a closer look at Vergil and Arkham's Dark Guild. Also, school started back up for me, and with my class and work schedule, it may be some time in between my updates. But don't worry, I'll continue to update this story when I can. I'm so grateful for all you people who have followed and/or favorite it, I never dreamed I'd get this many. Thank you. So let us get started.

Dragon Soul

Natsu groaned as he felt his mind trying to wake him up. However, his body suggested otherwise as he felt a great deal of exhaustion. He opened his eyes to the open sunlight as he tried to sit himself up against a tree. He was still outside having just last night killed a demon that had almost killed….

His eyes shot open. "Lisanna!" He tried to pull himself up quickly; greatly worried for her given how she almost died the previous night. But when he sat up he was surprised to see a large assortment of fruit gathered around him.

"What the…. Where'd all this stuff come from?"

"Hey Natsu!"

He looked to his right to see Lisanna running towards him with some more fruit in her arms as well as a smile on her face. She quickly came up to him.

"Good morning sleepy-head." She greeted as she sat down the fruit she gathered with the others and kneeled down close to him as he sat back against the tree. "You feeling alright?"

The Fire Dragon Slayer was surprised to say the least. "Uh yeah… but wait…. did you get all this by yourself?" He asked as he pointed to all the fruit.

"Hmm, mm." Lisanna nodded with a smile. "I figured after all the energy you burned you could use a big breakfast."

"But what about you?" Natsu asked in concern. "Are you sure you should be up and about right now? I mean you did almost die."

She didn't loose her smile. "Oh that's sweet of you Natsu. But don't worry I feel great! Better than great!" She stood up. "It feels like I've got more than enough energy inside me right now! Whatever you did, it worked wonders, I don't even have a scar!" She gestured to her neck where Cragnar slashed her and she was right, it looked like nothing had happened. "I've got all this energy inside me, like I'm all fired up. Do you always feel this way?"

Natsu looked at her in surprise.

"What did you do anyway?" She asked as she kneeled back down.

The Salamander looked at his hand. "Something Igneel taught me before he vanished. He taught me I could give my blood mixed with my magic and it could heal someone."

"So, like a blood transfusion?" Lisanna asked.

"I think so." Natsu was a bit confused as well in that answer. "I never used it before, and I was a kid when he taught me it so…"

"Well I'm glad you did it." Lisanna smiled to him. "You saved my life." She gave him a kiss on the cheek, causing his face to turn red. She gave a giggle. "Come on, eat up. We should get back to the guild hall soon."

Natsu's stomach growled before he could offer a response. She did have a point, his own energy was at an all-time low, and she did go to all the trouble to get him all this fruit. He gave a large grin as he began to swallow much of the fruit whole. Ordinarily, someone would be worried about such an eating habit, but not Lisanna. She knew Natsu her whole life and saw him eat like this on a daily basis, being a Dragon Slayer must meant you had a stronger digestive system, especially considering he can eat fire.

Her smile faded slightly as a serious thought came to her mind. "We really should get back to Fairy Tail soon, and tell them about this new Dark Guild."

Natsu stopped eating with a watermelon in his hand as he got a serious look to. "Yeah you're right. Gramps and the others are gonna want to know about this." It also begged the question in his head. Cragnar was after Lisanna specifically. Why? Well whatever the case, if any of these guys tried to lay a finger on her, Natsu would be the first one they'd answer to. He'd make sure of that.

At the same time, as Natsu resumed his meal, Lisanna looked toward his chest and spotted the diagonal-shaped scar running from his shoulder to his side, clearly done by a sword. She saw it to last night when Natsu caught up with her and Cragnar; Natsu was known to take some serious punishment, but to leave a scar on him like that, he must have gotten it from fighting a strong opponent. But who? That question could be answered at a later time however, as her stomach growled as well.

Elsewhere

The cave was quite large, it's ceiling was more than fifty feet high. The only source of light was a series of torches that lined the walls of this massive cavern. It seemed completely empty, save for one individual who walked in from a smaller cavern entrance.

This person appeared to be a woman, a very attractive one at that. She had light skin with long blonde hair and blue eyes. Though those eyes did offer a very dangerous glint, with a hint of arrogance in them. She wore a loose-fitting white dress that was completely sleeveless; she also wore black wristbands. There we're openings below to show off her long slender legs, with black sandals. But what stood out was the symbol of a black pentagram, the emblem of Devil Hand, on the bottom of her dress.

She looked around at several other cavern entrances, and when she didn't see anyone else, she couldn't help but roll her eyes. "You all should be here by now!" She spoke in a soft yet demanding voice. "You should know better than to make Master Vergil wait!"

"Cut us a break Iblis." A male voice said to her as a man entered the scene from another tunnel. "We only just formed this little group."

This came from a tall man with spikey black hair, tan skin, and gold colored eyes. He wore a black undershirt with black pants and shoes. On his shirt was the whit symbol of Devil Hand, but what stood out the most from him was a long golden jacket that stretched down to his legs.

"You can't expect us to be on time to every meeting just like that. I've got my own personal stuff to do."

"Keep yourself in line Mammon." Iblis greeted the gold-coat-wearing man named Mammon, you know better than to cross Vergil.

"Personally I wouldn't mind crossing him." A new voice, one that was clearly female with a lustful allure to her tone. "After all he is a very handsome man."

The third person walked in from another cave. To say she was attractive would be an understatement. She had pale skin with long black hair tied in a ponytail with grey eyes along with black lipstick. She wore a very short black shirt and skirt with nothing covering her very long legs, all the way down to a pair of black heels. In addition to the white Devil Hand symbol on her outfit, she also bore spider-web-like tattoos on her arms.

"Ah the lovely Asmodeua." Mammon greeted almost like a gentleman with an eager grin. "You're about as hot as ever."

Asmodeua looked toward him with an alluring smile. "Maybe you'd like some more fun in the bed when we're done her Mammon?"

"Count me in sweet thing." Mammon's grin grew wider.

"Business first, pleasure later." Iblis told both of them in a tone that seemed like how a mother would gently scold her children.

"Both are so boring." A fourth voice spoke up from another cavern entrance. A young and skinny man appeared in the light, though he did not walk onto the scene. No he appeared to be sitting upon a chair that levitated off the ground. This man had long and messy brown hair with tan skin and blue eyes. He wore a blue baggy sweatshirt with black pants, but no shoes, he was completely barefoot. His white Devil Hand symbol was evident on his shirt, but even more so was the bored expression on his face, his hand was supporting his head as his chair moved on its own and into the chamber.

"Business is boring, and whatever pleasure you can come up with can't even seem the most little bit exciting."

"Guess we should be lucky you've got that fancy chair of yours Belphegor, else you wouldn't have gotten out of bead this morning." Mammon cracked.

"Even your jokes carry no substance." Belphegor dulled.

"Oh shut up or I might just snap you in half!" A loud and booming voice got everyone's attention as a wall began to crack. A large fist broke through the cavern wall as it came crumbling down.

Out of the dust stepped a very large man, roughly ten feet tall. He was ripped to say the least. Muscles we're on virtually every part of his body. The only clothing he wore was a pair of black shorts. He had no shirt, no shoes, nothing. His skin was red, almost like blood. On his left shoulder was a black tattoo that was also the emblem of the Devil Hand guild. He was bald and his eyes we're merely pupils. His expression was one of anger and irritation.

"Satan, you do realize you could have just walked here, right?" Iblis told him with a raised eyebrow.

"Didn't feel like it." The red giant named Satan shrugged. "So when are we going to fight something? I've been wanting to kill since I woke up this morning."

"When do you don't want to kill?" Mammon joked.

"He's too impulsive it's almost irritating." Belphegor commented with a dulled expression.

"So are we getting this meeting started or what?" Satan questioned impatiently.

"No we must wait for the others, as well as our Master Vergil." Iblis answered.

"Those kids?" Asmodeua questioned as she rolled her eyes. "Why would he ever think of recruiting them in his guild?"

"Vergil didn't recruit them, it was that creepy guy Arkham, remember?" Mammon reminded. "The same guy who got all of us."

"Perhaps they wised up and left. I know I should of." Belphegor drolled.

"Yet here you are, lazy-bones." Mammon cracked.

"Do you ever shut up with your jokes, Mammon?" Satan angrily questioned.

"I'm chatty, it's part of my charm."

"You don't have any." A rude voice came from down another tunnel. This one was also female, but it also appeared to be very young.

Two individuals, both the same height, came into the light. One was a young girl, who didn't appear any older than twelve. She had pale skin with long brown hair and green eyes. She wore a long green robe that covered her whole body with the hood over her head, while bearing the white pentagram of the Devil Hand guild; she carried what appeared to be a permanent scowl on her face.

The one next to her appeared to be a boy the same height and age as her. He wore a black robe similar to hers, also bearing the white symbol for Devil Hand. He did not wear a hood, and he had a bit of a gut. He had white skin, green eyes, and spikey brown hair.

"Hey, the squirts finally arrived!" Mammon announced.

"What took you so long?" Iblis questioned.

"I was eating." The boy answered simply, with no emotion in his voice.

"And I was there to make sure he didn't over-eat, again." The girl added.

"Awe, I think little Leviatha has found herself a little boyfriend." Asmodeua teased. "Finally got yourself something."

"Like you need anything else, you slut." The young girl named Leviatha shot toward the older woman.

Asmodeua did not like that comment. "You wanna pick a fight with me, you little brat?"

Leviatha glared, but before she could respond the boy put a hand on her shoulder. "Ignore her."

"Hmm, didn't know you cared Beelzebub." Leviatha commented.

"I just don't wanna cause any more ruckus." The boy identified as Beelzebub responded.

"You mean you don't wanna give your… other guy inside you… a reason to come out." Belphegor commented.

"Like he needs a reason to eat, just like that little village." Mammon cracked.

Beelzebub's eyes shot a cold glare straight at Mammon, causing the man's smile to fade as he suddenly felt the temperature in the cave grow much shorter. Satan noticed the glare and actually grinned.

"Ooooh, someone's got the scary face." Satan said with almost sadistic optimism. Beelzebub glared at him in turn. "Your glare doesn't scare me, so why don't you let out the real you, you gluttonous beast." He taunted.

"Be careful." The glaring Beelzebub warned as it felt like a cold wind began to encircle him. "You just might get your wish."

"Enough!" Iblis exclaimed, her voice carried enough authority to silence their squabbles. "You bicker like children. We we're summoned here by our master and his partner, and as your leader I am ordering you to cease this immature behavior."

Despite some glares in her direction, the other six individuals seemed to ease up a bit as they lowered any glares and hostilities they might have had for each other, just in time as the final two people walked onto scene.

"Thank you, dear Iblis." Arkham acknowledge as he and Vergil appeared and walked into the center of the cavern, with the seven people gathering close toward them. "Now since we are all here together, let us begin."

"Why have you have summoned us?" Satan got right to the point.

"Ahem." Iblis glared at him.

Satan rolled his eyes. "Sorry, why are we here, Master Vergil?" He corrected.

"Because our time draws near." The eldest son of Sparda said, getting everyone's attention. "Cragnar failed in apprehending our target, but the Magic Council has begun to make their move as we predicted."

"So, does this mean we can get right to the fun?" Mammon asked in an eager tone.

"Not quite yet." Vergil responded. "By now, my brother and Fairy Tail has learned of this guild's existence, but they believe Devil Hand is comprised entirely of demons. We must keep this façade for a little longer."

"So we are just going to keep waiting?" Belphegor questioned as he slunk down in his levitating chair further. "I can hardly contain myself." He uttered sarcastically.

"Maybe I can ease your boredom a little." Asmodeua teased with a wink.

"I doubt that."

"Getting back to the matter at hand." Iblis looked toward Vergil. "Why do we continue to wait? Why don't we just go to Fairy Tail and grab who we need?"

"You would do well not to underestimate that guild." Arkham warned. "Your pride in this group impresses Iblis, but we must place caution above all else."

"I would have to agree." Vergil said. "I underestimated Fairy Tail before, I will not repeat that mistake again."

"But we should hurry." Leviatha said. "With how many demons we got here, it'll only be a matter of time before guilds like Grimoire Heart take notice. They'll either invite us to join them or try to obliterate us."

"I hope it's the later." Satan punched his fist into an open palm. "I'd be more than happy to crush anyone who gets in our way."

"Patience, our time approaches." Arkham instructed. "For now we must abide by the plan. Cragnar's brothers are preparing as we speak for the mission."

"Why not just send us?" Beelzebub asked. "We can get her and be back here in no time at all."

"Caution is advised." Arkham replied. "If we are to fully resurrect the tower, I'd prefer all our assets be gathered at the same time, so we can execute it without any further delay."

"So what do we do in the meantime?" Iblis asked.

"We wait, watch, and listen." Vergil answered. "For within a few days, this world's light shall be extinguished forever."

Fairy Tail guildhall

Dante sat at a table, enjoying a relaxing mug of beer. It was a quiet morning for him, which turned into noon just about now. Most of Fairy Tail seemed to be going about their normal business as well; several conversing with each other, a few at the board looking for job requests. Though he had a feeling that the peace was about to come to an abrupt end. In fact he predicted in just three… two… one…

*BANG!*

The doors were sent flying off their hinges and all the way to the other side of the guildhall. Dante smirked, as he didn't even need to turn around to know who just arrived.

"We're back yo!" Natsu exclaimed enthusiastically as he and Lisanna, both smiling, walked in and were quickly greeted by their friends.

"Welcome back you pyro maniac." Dante waves his mug

"Natsu! Lisanna!" Happy flew towards them to greet them. "How'd your job go?"

"It was…. Eventful to say the least." Lisanna said.

Several other Guild members gathered around to greet them, more specifically they were trying to speak with Lisanna, considering this was her first official job since rejoining Fairy Tail; the most particular among them we're Grey, Erza, Elfman, and Mira as they seemed to have many questions.

Dante stood up and just simply watched, Trish, Lady, and even Modeus joined him.

"They seem rather enthusiastic." Modeus commented with a warm smile.

"Well the girl was thought to be dead for two years." Trish responded.

"But have you guys noticed something though?" Lady asked.

"What?" Trish asked.

"They keep asking her about what happened on that job, but she's not really answering it. Just saying it was exciting, but no detail to it." Lady explained.

Dante smirked. "Maybe she and Natsu had a bit more of the excitement that involved a bed."

The two women rolled their eyes while Modeus looked toward Natsu questionably. "They are both underage, and Natsu does not seem like the sort of individual who would engage in that sort of affair."

Dante shrugged. "Yeah, but you can't deny he's got the hots for her."

"Oh big time." Trish agreed.

"Yep." Lady agreed as well.

However, what this group of four didn't seem to notice was Lucy sitting at a nearby table, having overheard their conversation. She couldn't help but look in the direction of Natsu and Lisanna. As she heard Dante talk, she couldn't help but imagine the idea of Natsu having some form of intimacy with the white-haired girl. It wasn't exactly sickening to her, but it did leave her somewhat uncomfortable as she had a concerned look.

"So what did you guys do on your job?" Wendy asked Natsu.

"Just fishing." He answered simply.

"And by that you mean you fried all the fish with your fire-breath, right?" Grey cracked.

Natsu smirked. "You know me."

"Please tell me you saved some extra fish for me." Happy said in a comical pleading tone.

Carla flew towards the flying blue Exceed. "Happy, sometimes I worry you may becoming addicted to fish."

"What? They're good." He defended.

"Well I'm glad to know your first job ended safely." Erza noted to Lisanna, causing her to look rather nervous, something Erza quickly noticed.

"So your job went well Lisanna?" Mira asked her younger sister.

"You didn't get hurt or anything did you?" Elfman asked

Lisanna and Natsu looked towards each other once those questions we're presented toward them. "Um… about that."

Everyone around them looked with concern. "Did something happen?" Mira asked.

"Is Gramps around? We need to talk to him." Natsu questioned.

"I'm right here Natsu!" Makarov called to him as he sat on the bar. The Salamander and youngest of the Strauss siblings quickly came up to him. "Has something happened?"

"Master, have you ever heard of this new dark guild called Devil Hand?" Lisanna asked.

With that, all conversations in the guild hall came to a halt as everyone, including Dante, Lady, Trish, Modeus, even Lucy; as well as Happy, Erza, Grey, Wendy, Carla, Mira, and Elfman all looked towards the duo in surprise. Even Makarov's eyes widened before a serious look appeared on his face.

"My office, now." He looked a bit past them. "Dante, you come as well. There is another matter I need to discuss with you that could be connected to this."

The red-clad Devil Hunter nodded.

Makarov stood on the ground in his own private office as Dante, Natsu, Happy, Lisanna, Lucy, Erza, Trish, Grey, Lady, Wendy, Carla, Modeus, Elfman, and Mira all gathered around inside. Makarov made sure the door was shut.

"Okay Gramps, what's this Devil Hand stuff?" Natsu asked.

"First off, how do you know about it?" Grey questioned.

"I asked the question first!" Natsu exclaimed.

"Guys knock it off!" Lucy tried to break them up as they butted heads, only for Erza to do it as she comically shoved their heads away in her usual method.

"That is enough." Erza gently scolded.

"Natsu, Devil Hand is the name of a newly discovered Dark Guild that recently came to light." Makarov answered the Dragon Slayer's question. "We only just heard about them when they attacked the Magic Council."

That surprised both Natsu and Lisanna a great deal.

"They attacked the Magic Council?!" Lisanna questioned.

"Not the council directly, but a prison under their jurisdiction." Makarov replied.

"We only found out about it because one of the members told that Yajima-guy your friends with, he told Morison, and he told us." Dante explained as well. "Apparently this new guild's full of demons."

"Wait… there's more demons?" Natsu asked, but the nature of his question drew his guildmates attention.

"Wait, what do you mean by 'more'?" Trish questioned.

Lisanna answered with a sigh. "Last night, Natsu and I we're attacked by a demon from that guild."

Everyone was caught by surprise, but none we're more distressed than Elfman and Mira as they quickly came to their youngest sister.

"Lisanna! Why didn't you say anything!? Are you alright?!" Mira grabbed her by the shoulders and looked at her with great worry.

"I'm fine, it's okay." Lisanna answered quickly, avoiding certain details.

"You sure?!" Elfman questioned with worry as well. "You're not hurt anywhere?!"

Lisanna knew that her older siblings we're just concerned, but it was getting a bit annoying. "Yes, I'm just fine."

"You were attacked by a demon?" Modeus questioned.

"Yeah, called himself Cragnar. He was like a giant lizard." Natsu answered.

"A lizard demon? Does that ring any bells Dante?" Happy asked him, being the demonic expert.

"No." Dante answered simply.

"No? But aren't you the expert on this sort of thing?" Grey questioned.

"Grey, there are about as many demons in the Underworld as there are humans here in Earthland." Modeus told him. "While some are more well-known than others, it is impossible to know the names and descriptions of every single demon that has ever existed."

"Well when you put it like that it does make sense." Lucy commented.

"Natsu why did this demon attack you?" Makarov asked.

The answer Natsu gave was something no one was expecting. "He wasn't after me, he wanted Lisanna."

"WHAT?!" Everyone, especially Mira and Elfman, questioned at the same time. Even Dante was caught by surprise.

"It's true." Lisanna added. "He wanted me specifically. He tried to kidnap me, but Natsu was able to beat him."

While Elfman and Mira once more continued to hound Lisanna with questions such as 'are you alright?' Dante noticed something in how Lisanna responded.

"Wait, he tried to kidnap you. Not eat you or kill you?" Dante asked, to which Lisanna nodded. "That's odd."

"Odd?!" Elfman exclaimed. "A demon just tried to kidnap my sister?! How is that odd?!"

"He means its odd because when does a demon usually try abduct a human." Lady clarified. "This isn't normal behavior for them."

"Did this demon say why he wanted you Lisanna."

She shook her head. "No he didn't say."

"Where is this demon now?" Makarov asked.

"Dead." Natsu replied as everyone looked at him. "I burned him to ash."

Happy, Lucy, Grey, Wendy, and even Erza looked to Natsu with concern. His tone was much colder than they'd expected. Did something happen? Did Natsu intend to kill this demon? It sounded almost bloodthirsty, and that was not like Natsu at all.

Dante had similar thoughts but he turned back to Makarov. "Gramps, you said you had something else to tell me. Something that could be related to this?"

"Yes." The Fairy Tail guild master stretched his arm in an elongated fashion as he opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a letter.

"This morning, I received a letter from the Magic Council. In two days, they will be escorting a prisoner to another location and they want you Dante to help accompany them."

Everyone looked with serious and concerned looks once that news was delivered. "A prisoner? Who?" Lucy asked.

"The letter doesn't say. Nor does it give the reason for it, just where and what time." Makarov answered as he handed Dante the letter and he began to read its contents.

"Master, you believe this could be connected to Devil Hand?" Erza asked.

Makarov nodded. "A prison of theirs was attacked by this new Dark Guild comprised of demons and they wish to ask for aid of a Devil Hunter, it's too much of a coincidence for it not to be."

Dante looked at the letter one last time before handing it back to Makarov. "Dante, what are you going to do?" Wendy asked.

"The Magic Council asked me for help, pretty sure I have to go." He shrugged.

"You mean we have to go, right?" Grey told him with a knowing smirk.

Dante looked around at his friends, and from the smirking looks they gave him, he could tell what they were thinking. He couldn't help but smirk back.

"I don't know, sounds dangerous." He toyed with them.

"When has that ever stopped us?" Lady joked.

"Wherever you go, we go." Trish added.

"You ain't leaving us out of this one buddy." Natsu gave a thumbs-up. "Right Happy?"

"Aye sir!" The blue flying Exceed cheered.

"Count me in." Grey nodded with a smile.

"Me to." Lucy said with her own smile.

"I will join you as well." Erza said.

"If you guys are going with Dante, then so am I." Wendy put in, surprising both Carla and Modeus.

"Wendy! Don't act rationally!" Carla told her.

"I'm not. If I want to get stronger, shouldn't I pull my own weight? I have been training with Modeus."

"For less than a week." Said mentor responded to his student.

"But isn't good to get more experience in this sort of thing?" Wendy asked. "I want to be more helpful! Plus, I have gotten stronger since Edolas!"

"Well can't argue with that." Dante pointed out as he looked to Modeus and Carla. "You know I wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Modeus appeared to contemplate for a moment as Carla looked toward him. "Very well." He told Wendy, causing her to smile. "You may go, but only if I join you as well."

"I was hopping you would." Wendy's smile grew.

"Then I will be coming as well, I can't very well let you out of my sight, now can I?" Though she sounded strict, Carla gave a warm smile to match Wendy's.

At this exchange, Makarov couldn't help but give a warm smile. This guild was truly a family; they would never let anyone handle a problem alone, and would always protect one another.

"Master." Lisanna spoke up, getting his attention. "I want to join them to."

All smiles faded as everyone, particularly Natsu, Elfman, and Mira looked to her with concern; though her older brother was the first to speak up.

"No way! Absolutely not!" Elfman scolded.

"I will have to agree with Elfman on this one, Lisanna." Erza agreed. "It is obvious that you are a target for Devil Hand. They may have failed once, but they will try again. If you are out in the open, you'd only be putting yourself in danger."

"They got a point." Dante chimed in. "Trust me, I speak from experience. Demons are stubborn; and considering that one of them died trying to grab you, you can expect they'd be back with a vengeance."

Lisanna knew they all had good points. "I still want to go. I'm a part of Fairy Tail to, aren't I? I'm not completely helpless I can fight! Let me help all of you!" She turned to Makarov. "Master, please!"

The small old man had his eyes closed as he appeared in deep thought. He opened them up and saw the look in the young girl's eyes. He could tell there was something different inside her; it was almost as if there was a fire burning deep in her soul. "Even if I forbade it, you would still join them anyway, wouldn't you?"

Lisanna didn't answer, but the look in her eyes said yes.

"You are one of my children." Makarov began. "I thought I lost you before, and it almost crushed me. If I lost you again I would never forgive myself. But… I can sense that you are indeed growing up; perhaps your experience in Edolas has helped with that. So, I shall give you my blessing." Lisanna had an elated smile. "Just promise me that you will be careful out there."

"I promise master." Lisanna told him with a smile.

Elfman looked as if he we're about to protest, but Makarov gave him a look that said it would be all right. However, while it appeared Elfman was silenced, Mirajane was not. She walked up to her younger sister and spoke.

"Lisanna, I respect that the Master gave you his blessings." She began. "However, I cannot allow you to go." Lisanna turned around and was about to speak, but Mira wasn't done yet. "Not without proving yourself."

"Mira, what do you mean?"

Her answer was something that no one, not even Dante could expect. "Fight me."

Outside – Behind the guildhall

Pretty much the entire Fairy Tail guild was outside, behind the main building. It was a long and grassy field, almost like a backyard, with the ocean behind them. Everyone was there from Alzack and Bisca, to Macao to Wakaba, from Cana to Reedus, to Max and Warren, to Laki, the whole Thunder Legion and Team Shadowgear, even Juvia, Gajeel, Panther-Lily, and Gildarts we're present as well. Dante, Natsu, Happy, Grey, Erza, Lucy, Elfman, Trish, Lady, Modeus, Wendy, and Carla we're all there as well, including Master Makarov.

Lisanna was past the crowd as she gazed toward Mirajane who stood in front of the vast ocean with a serious expression on her face.

"Are they seriously going through with this?" Lucy questioned.

"Looks that way." Trish replied.

"Come on this is crazy." Grey stated. "Lisanna doesn't stand a chance!"

"I've seen her a bit in Edolas so I can say she's got some moves." Lady commented.

"It's not Lisanna's skills were questioning." Erza said. "Its because Mirajane's power far exceeds hers."

"Is there really that much of a power gap between them?" Modeus asked.

"Oh big time." Grey confirmed.

"I understand that Mira is just trying to protect Lisanna, but why does she want to fight her?" Wendy wondered.

"Perhaps to prove a point?" Carla wondered.

Dante remained silent as he kept his eyes fixed on the scene that was slowly unfolding. He had seen glimpses of what Lisanna could do back in Edolas, but he also heard how strong Mira was. But still, why would a guild of demons want to take Lisanna alive? Perhaps some form of bargaining chip? No, that wasn't like them. Maybe it was something else. Maybe this match might help give some insight on this. Plus, he was curious just to see what this girl could do. He glanced toward Natsu and he was a bit surprised to see him focused on this fight, it was rare for Natsu to get serious like that.

"Mira, Lisanna, there's no need for this!" Elfman called out to them. "You two don't have to fight!"

"Elfman, I can handle myself!" Lisanna called back to him.

"Can you?" Mira questioned, causing Lisanna to turn to her questionably. "Can you handle yourself out there Lisanna? I want you to prove that to me right here and now, and you better not hold back." Almost everyone in Fairy Tail was surprised by the tone in her voice, it was unlike Mirajane to become serious like this.

"Take Over: Satan Soul!"

A dark magic circle appeared under Mira as she was engulfed in a flash of light and she had transformed into her Satan Soul form, the one that made her well known as the She-Devil. The guild members could tell just how serious she was.

"Lisanna, this will be your only chance." Mira pointed to her. "We don't have to fight, just promise me you will not go on that mission with them."

This statement did not deter Lisanna however, but rather it seemed to make her more eager to fight. Natsu, even from his position, could see the fire in her eyes.

"Hey Lisanna." She turned to him as he gave her a confident grin. "Kick her ass."

She formed a confident grin of her own that almost mirrored his as she turned back to her older sister.

Lucy and Happy both popped up behind the Salamander. "Natsu are you nuts?!" Lucy questioned. "Mira's on the same level as Erza! Not even you can beat her! What makes you think she can?!"

"She can. I know it." Natsu answered seriously. Lucy could see it in Natsu's eyes, and it surprised her.

"You believe in her that much?"

He nodded.

This however, caused Lucy to sink a bit in the crowd, her eyes wavering with disappointment, causing Happy to look at her confused but the he turned back to the fight about to start. He believed in Lisanna to just like Natsu, but at the same time he worried for her, as this was Mirajane they were talking about.

Lisanna was the first to make her move as she transformed.

"Take Over: Animal Soul: Rabbit!"

She had transformed into a large and purple rabbit before charging with a head but straight at Mira, but she effortlessly stopped the attack with just one hand. Mira scoffed before she flicked her hand to send Lisanna's rabbit form flying into the air.

Dante looked somewhat disappointed with this. "Not off to a great start."

There was another flash in the air as Lisanna transformed once again. "Animal Soul: Harpy!" Now in her harpy-form, Lisanna soared down at fast speeds toward the still stationed Mira, all she did was raise her arm to block Lisanna's talons with little effort. She tried to give a kick to Mira's head, but it was blocked easily.

"I thought I told you not to hold back." Mira said before thrusting her palm to send Lisanna tumbling back along the ground. She got up and transformed once more.

"Animal Soul: Cat!" With a flash, Lisanna was now in her she-cat form as she leaped at Mira with much faster speed than before and slashed at her with her claws. This time, Mira did move to avoid it, but she wasn't even breaking a sweat. While a normal person could probably see Lisanna was moving rapidly, to Mira she may have as well be moving in slow motion.

Lady looked towards Erza. "She's not even trying, is she?"

"No, she is not." Erza confirmed.

After about a minute of this, Mira decided that it was enough as she grabbed both of Lisanna's claws with one hand and delivered a punch straight to her gut. This knocked the wind right out of Lisanna as she fell to her hands and knees and coughed up a storm.

Natsu and Happy looked to her with great concern, but Mira simply shook her head in disappointment, even Dante looked a bit let down with this result.

"That is enough!" Makarov spoke up as he walked forward slightly. "This fight is over."

"The master's right Sis, you've proven your point!" Elfman called out to her as well, not wanting to see his sisters fight anymore.

"Have I?!" Mira shouted toward them, surprising not only her brother and master, but also most of the guild. "Look at her!" She gestured toward her still downed sister. "One punch and she's already on her knees! Master you said you gave her your blessings, but I can't see why when that was the best she could offer! She is not ready for any of this, and she knows it! If she goes on that mission, what more can she do other than get herself in trouble?!"

As Mira talked, Lisanna felt as though every word was a knife that pierced her spirit. She didn't want to admit it, but she knew her sister was right. As she was now, she could not be of any help to any of her friends, much less Natsu. It was made evident last night when she was kidnapped and almost killed; Cragnar had used her as a shield and was able to badly hurt Natsu for it. She could barley do anything to help him, and he almost bled out for it. How could she help her friends if she would only just get in the way!?

"NO! I refuse to be helpless!" She thought to herself as she tried to stand up. "Natsu, Erza, Grey, Happy, they're all risking their lives… even Wendy's getting stronger. If they can get stronger, why can't I!?" As she thought of this, something inside her came to light. A ring of fire suddenly formed on the ground and it began to circle her. "I will protect my friends…!" Everyone turned around when they saw the flames grow larger and encircle Lisanna. "I will protect those I love! Even you Natsu!"

This surprised everyone, including Mira, Natsu, Makarov, Gildarts, Erza, Happy, Grey, Elfman, even Dante, especially as a orange magic circle formed under her and she was completely engulfed in fire.

"I WON'T BE HELPLESS ANYMORE!"

Lisanna gave a powerful and almost beast-like roar as the fire around her exploded and all of Fairy Tail covered their eyes from the brightness as some we're forced back by a shockwave. The light quickly faded and no one was expecting to see what was standing before him or her.

It was Lisanna, but she was completely different. She wore what appeared to be a two-piece red bathing suit; dark red, almost black, scales and spikes formed around her arms, legs, and sides as black claws and talons formed on her hands and feet. A long red and spiked tail grew from her lower back. A large pair of red wings grew out from her back as well. Her hair was slightly longer as red fin-like ears formed on the side of her head. But her eyes said it all, it was her blue eyes that bore a powerful flame inside.

"Take Over: Dragon Soul!"

No one could have expected those words to come from her mouth, especially for three certain Dragon Slayers.

"Did she just say Dragon Soul?!" Wendy questioned in shock.

"No freaking way!" Gajeel exclaimed with shrunken pupils.

Natsu was completely speechless as his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. He looked toward his hands before looking back at her.

Mira was so completely stunned by this that she couldn't react in time as Lisanna soared at her at a speed that was twice as fast as her cat-form, and delivered a punch to Mira's face powerful enough to send her flying all the way out to the ocean and skidding across the water; causing everyone to look in even further shock, particularly Elfman, Gildarts, Erza, Makarov, and even Dante raised his eyebrows in surprise.

Mira was able to use her wings to stabilize herself and hover just above the water, but she could barley register what had just happened as Lisanna was flying straight toward her. Acting on instinct, Mira flew straight upward to gain some distance with Lisanna flying up after her.

The eldest of the Strauss siblings was able to regain her barrings as she stretched her hand out and a dark magic circle formed in front of it.

"Darkness Stream!" From the magic circle, several tendrils made of dark energy with hands at the end surged at Lisanna, but she didn't look even the least bit intimidated.

"Fire Claws!" Lisanna's claws lit on fire as she began to slash at the tendrils, slicing through them with firey results. This did not go unnoticed by those below.

"Dragon Soul? Fire magic?" Erza, as well as everyone else found themselves looking toward Natsu, as he couldn't take his eyes off the battle.

Dante glanced at Natsu as well but looked back up into the sky to see a streak of darkness clash repeatedly with a stream of fire. He actually smirked.

"This just got interesting."

Lisanna got close to Mira as she pulled both her hands back and charged a fireball in them. "Blaze Bomb!" She tried to bring it down on Mira, but she kicked the fireball out of her hands and sent it flying into the air where it made quite the large explosion.

Mira flew back as she charged up another attack. "Demon Blast!" She blasted a stream of dark purple energy at Lisanna who prepped a similar attack.

"Inferno Blast!" Lisanna actually blasted a powerful stream of fire from her mouth, causing everyone, especially Natsu, to look in shock even more. It was almost just like his Fire Dragon Roar.

The attacks collided, resulting in a large explosion that mixed fire with darkness. Streams of orange and purple danced in the area briefly before Mira quickly came back down to ground level where everyone else was. She landed somewhat gracefully while Lisanna landed hard and almost created a shockwave on impact.

Lisanna took multiple deep breaths; no doubt she burned through almost all her energy. But despite that, the fire in her eyes had not died out. Mira had an expression that mixed both seriousness as well as shock. She felt her hand along her face and could tell there was a bruise from where Lisanna punched her. She gave a deep sigh and a contentful smile before streams of energy flowed out of her body and she turned back to normal.

Mirajane smiled and nodded to her younger sister who looked confused. "Okay Lisanna, I was wrong. Maybe you can take care of yourself. You can go with them."

Hearing those words caused Lisanna to smile weakly before streams of steam left her body, engulfing her in a brief flash before she turned back to normal. She looked like she was about to faint from exhaustion, but Natsu quickly ran over to her and caught her bridal style.

He smiled down on her. "I knew you could do it." She smiled back at him, feeling almost like a princess in a fairy tale right now. That is until he smirked and said. "Now you're gonna fight me!" Her eyes turned white before she fainted completely.

Everyone else in Fairy Tail all comically turned white and formed sweat drops on his or her heads. All except Gildarts who couldn't help but give a hardy laugh at that.

Dante however smacked his hand against his forehead.

"Smooth, like sandpaper."

However, Natsu's own eagerness was cut short when Mira walked toward him with an expression that seemed both concerned and very serious.

"Natsu, I feel as though you two left out some rather important details about what happened last night."

The Fire Dragon Slayer looked around and saw that everyone; Erza, Grey, Dante, Gildarts, Elfman, Makarov, and pretty much everyone else, looked at him, expecting an explanation, even Happy flew toward them and looked toward Natsu with a similar look on his face.

Natsu sighed. "Long story."

Done. I hope you like this chapter.

So Lisanna has unlocked a new power, and it is AWESOME!. Dragon Soul. This fight scene was something that I drew inspiration from with that 'Bound by Fate' story I mentioned before where something similar happened. If you want to get an idea of what her Dragon Take Over looks like, I'm sure you can find on Deviantart under the illustration name "(Demon Sisters)" by the artist Juviaa.

However, we also got a good look at the main members of Vergil's guild. That group is named The Seven Sins and each of them represents one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Iblis – Pride

Mammon – Greed

Asmodeua – Lust

Satan – Wrath

Leviatha – Envy

Belphegor – Sloth

Beelzebub – Gluttony.

They have also been given names from folklore that depicts demons/fallen angels who each represent the Seven Deadly Sins (Asmodeua was changed from Asmodeus, and Leviatha was changed from Leviathan). They are my own OCs, though I may have drawn some inspiration from the Homunculi from "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood."

If you wish to get a good look at what these guys look like go to Deviantart and look for the picture titled "Commission – Deadly Sins" by "CelestialRayna"

Things are getting interesting for our heroes in Fairy Tail as the Magic Council has requested Dante help them escort a prisoner, perhaps the same one Devil Hand targeted before hand, to a more secure prison. But for what reason? Who is this prisoner? Find out next time on Fairy May Cry.
