Chapter 11
MK and I proceeded forward through the first couple areas through the marsh together, me needing to use the bridge seeds to get us to progress and prevent from getting muddy from the marsh. And once I got to the area before the first caves with the telescope, I then got a call from Papyrus while my heart thumped big time. Flowey was spying on me, just like on the bridge. I then answered the phone, knowing who it was.
"Hello?" I asked into it.
"HELLO THERE, INDIE! IT'S ME, PAPYRUS!" he smiled.
"Yeah... how'd you get my number again?" I asked, him smirking at that.
"OH, IT WAS EASY! I JUST DIALED EVERY NUMBER SEQUENTIALLY UNTIL I GOT YOURS!" Papyrus said, me smiling at that. It's a good thing the phone number I had was mostly 1's. "ANYWAY, ARE YOU STILL WEARING THE SAME GETUP AS BEFORE? I'M ASKING FOR A FRIEND," Papyrus said.
"Yeah, I am," I said.
"I SEE. SO YOU DEFINITELY AREN'T GOING TO CHANGE YOUR APPEARANCE, RIGHT?" Papyrus asked, me smiling at that.
"Of course not, wink wink," I smirked at him, Papyrus smiling afterwards.
"OKAY, THANKS A MILLION!" Papyrus said before he hung up and I simply smiled as I said something to the flower watching from behind.
"I know you're there, you little weed. Why not show your face instead of hide from afar?" I asked, me hearing an audible "Eep!" sound from behind me as I then turned around and saw that Flowey looked at me in confusion.
"How can you tell when I'm nearby, murderer?" Flowey asked, me frowning at that.
"Ignoring that last bit, I can tell because my FUN filled soul thumps a mile a minute when you're around. I knew you were spying on me on the bridge as well," I frowned, Flowey smirking at me with his devilish grin.
"How about you don't ignore that last bit, murderer? I know that you killed that old coot. I can tell just from our Determination being similar," Flowey smirked, me frowning at the flowery prince.
"Apologies, Flowey, but I didn't do it because I wanted to. If anything, Gaster was the one who wanted me to kill him for reasons I'll tell you at a later date. I feel nothing but dread for killing him, unlike you, who kills without remorse," I frowned as I then spat directly on him and Flowey looked surprised that I did that. "There's some water to keep you quiet. Now leave me alone for a change, got it?" I growled, Flowey scoffing before then burrowing under the ground again and me moving forward until my heart stopped thumping.
"Why does Flowey love talking about murder so much?" Asriel asked.
"Because he became sick in the head from not having a soul inside of him... but I don't know how long it has been since he was created from that experiment. Chara, do you know how long ago that was?" I asked her.
"Yeah, it was about 30 years ago that Flowey was created, and add an additional year or two for his constant resets before today," Chara said. "By the way, if this world is a video game from where you come from, then who made it?"
"That'd be a guy called Toby Fox. He and a very small group of people crafted every single detail of this world, including all the characters, lore, and story. And the fact that Gaster hated him? I can only assume it was because Toby Fox made Gaster just for curiosity purposes for players to find," I frowned as I then got to the break in the wall and pushed on it, making it open up for me to go through and immediately get jumped by everyone's favorite seahorse, Aaron.
"Heya, bud ;)" he said, me actually hearing the wink for some odd reason.
"Hi there," I said with a smile, Aaron already flexing to prove his strength and me smiling and flexing myself, showing off my muscles in the process.
"Oh? A flexing contest, huh? Hah! You're on!" Aaron smiled as he attacked with flexing so hard that his sweat flew off his body and tried to connect to me... but as I expected, it did no damage. I then flexed harder, Aaron smiling and flexing twice as hard, more sweat flying off of him as I then flexed one more time and Aaron flexed as well... but this time, he flexed so hard that he zoomed off into the distance, leaving behind 30 gold in the process.
"How does he flex so hard that he flies off from a sonic boom?" I asked.
"No clue, and it'd be best not to question it," Asriel said, me smirking at that.
"That was pretty funny, kid," I smirked at him as I then went on the raft and proceeded towards the east... and during the ride, I saw something... weird... a strange white mist was blocking the way to Undyne's first chase. "What... is that?" I asked, having a feeling that my encounters with the Void characters weren't finished yet. And then, the mist formed into what I expected it to be. Goner Kid, which actually looked very creepy when I saw him face-to-face. "Goner Kid..." I gawked when the raft reached him.
"Have you ever imagined a world... where everyone exists... but you, yourself, do not?... It's a very scary feeling..." Goner Kid said as they then looked at me with a sigh... and their pale white eyes. "I know you don't come from this world, miss... I can see it clear as day... your soul is filled with FUN... much like mine and Gaster's," Goner Kid said as he then looked at Chara and then at me again.
"So... why are you appearing to me again?" I asked in curiosity.
"I wanted some help, too... you already helped mister Gaster before... I wanted to know if you could do something for me..." Goner Kid said as they approached me and I saw my hand move against my will and move to their chest. "I want you to absorb my soul... to free me from my imprisonment in this Void... I want to meet my granddaughter that you know as MK... please..." Goner Kid said, me looking at Chara and her shrugging soon after.
"Well... if that's what you want, I can oblige... so long as it doesn't increase my EXP or LV in the process," I said.
"Haha... no need to worry about those things... like with Gaster, I'm already dead... just focus on my soul and use your magic to merge it to your own... then I can see what you see... and I can talk whenever I want from your mind," Goner Kid said, me nodding at that as I then did as they said. I focused on trying to merge their soul into my own, managing to do it quite easily... of course, Goner Kid turned into dust shortly after I merged his soul into my body, but I could feel... slightly more stronger than I was before. Almost like I'd gotten a boost in strength. I then looked at my stats and... surprise of the century, my LV an EXP were no longer unknown! And just as Goner Kid promised, they hadn't risen at all.
"Thanks, miss... I'm forever grateful..." Goner Kid smiled from my head, his voice having a slight echoey effect to it.
"You're welcome... and don't worry, we'll see your granddaughter soon," I smiled at them as I then moved forward down the path... only to get shocked when the spear landed right in front of me and I looked to my left to see Undyne.
"Seven. Seven human souls. And with yours, we can-" Undyne was about to say before I rushed down the path and away from her. "H-HEY! Get back here! Come over here and face me like a woman!" Undyne exclaimed as I rushed the whole way and avoided her magic spears until I got to the thick grass, me eventually finding MK in there and hiding behind her.
"Huh?" she asked as Undyne then came in and then grabbed MK by the face, lifting her up before then letting her down and walking away in confusion, me and MK then leaving the thicket and me looking at MK with a smile. "Yo, did you see that? Undyne TOUCHED ME! I'm never washing my face again!" she smirked wildly.
"It's not like you can wash it anyways... hon," Goner Kid said, MK looking a bit confused.
"Huh? Who said that?" she asked in confusion.
"Well... it's a bit complicated, MK... but I found someone related to you that's been gone for quite a long time... and they requested they merge their soul with my own," I said, MK looking at me in confusion before the gears turned in her head.
"Wait... you mean my gram gram? She's a part of you now?" MK asked in surprise.
"Yes... I've missed you, MK..." Goner Kid said, me feeling it'd be easier to call her GG now that I knew her gender. "When I died, I was sent to a place called the Void... a place that wants the world to forget the existence of those sent there... only those with a high FUN value can contact the Void and its inhabitants, such as Indie... I asked her to help me out, so she did... I would like it if we could travel together from here on out... I want to spend more time with you," GG said with a hum, MK smirking at that as her tail wagged.
"Really? Of course I'll travel with ya!" MK smiled as she then rushed to me and I then hugged her, MK smirking as her tail wagged even more, which I thought was adorable. "Thank you, Indie. Thank you so much!" she smirked, me smiling at her.
"You're welcome, MK," I smiled at her, MK giggling as I could swear she was sniffling in happy tears. "Okay, let's go try to find Undyne again," I smirked, MK smirking at that.
"Yeah!" she smirked at me as we then moved to the east and I then made a save point at the crystallized cheese... and was surprised that the hallway with the door didn't appear.
"Huh... odd..." I thought to myself. I guess that there were some parts of the Void that I wouldn't encounter during this playthrough.
