Chapter 48

April 25th, 1998

Even in the face of the Dark Lord's right hand Were-Wolf Finn grinned, something the Were-man thought he'd be able to easily clear off the smirking boy.

"Let the screams begin." Fenrir growled out with a nasty and pleasant grin knowing that every time he'd spoken to his victims he could smell their fear, but the boy continued to grin and laugh to him, something he was not used to and enraged him, and one thought came to him leaving a wicked grin to the Were-Wolf's face. Flicking his claws and went to town slashing down Finn's neck and chest towards his hip and continued clawing down his chest, back and arms. He had been pleased when he tore plenty of screams from the boy, but the smirk on Finn's face had continued and had stunned Fenrir himself and was rather impressed, but his anger had won over and the itching desire to rip the skin and smirk from his face, to make it difficult, if not impossible, for him to smirk his charming smirk once and for all had won out. In seconds Fenrir's claws had slashed down, right to left and down along his neck, across Finn's face but all it had down was make the boy scream and cry out, but his grin had slightly remained. Stepping behind Finn, Fenrir had finally had it, grasping the back of Finn's dark hair in hand and ripped his head back and the Were-Wolf sank his teeth in deep to the junction of the shoulder and neck filling the room with screams of agony.

Narcissa had been forced to watch the terrifying scene, but when she had watched Fenrir sink his teeth into her nephew, she was unable to help covering her mouth for a few seconds to keep from screaming as she swallowed it back along with her tears. Her husband had looked terrified and had noticed when his wife had shrunk away from him when he'd rested his hand at her back. Something that not only hurt deeply but had irritated him to many degrees as Voldemort vanished along with his snake, Nagini.

The trio had been back on the run once again. Luna had been insisting for days that she return to Hogwarts to retrieve the Ravenclaw ring she had hidden in a rush when she had made a run for it. "Where did you hide the ring any way's Luna?" Alicia asked curiously, surprised she had actually forgotten it. And she was proud of Luna for being able to hide it in such a short and terrifying moment, "Neville has it. You should come with me 'Licia."

"No, if Snape or the Death Eaters get wind, I've returned back to Hogwarts I'll be taken all over again and everyone else will be put into more danger, I'll stay with Fleur until we can get in contact with Holly." But they were about to find out some very disturbing news as soon as Bill had stopped in the middle of chopping the vegetables and Fleur's frozen body at the table, she had been kneading dough bread at, "Fleur, are you alright?"

"Holly Malcolm is dead Alicia. She was murdered when she went out to help some survivors from a town that had been attacked by Death Eaters. They captured them all and executed them on the spot. Morgan found a kid that had survived, and the kid told him what happened, he was the only survivor." Bill said speaking up for his wife, she had taken the blow pretty hard since Holly had helped them get to the Shell cottage in safe hands. But with Bill being his and Fleur's secret keeper he knew they were safer than possibly anyone.

"Have you spoken to my parents?" Harry asked abruptly, he had actually forgotten to ask his mind had been running around to many things the last few days, "Auntie gave birth to a baby boy February 16th, premature birth. They named him Apollo."

Harry's heart jumped, happy he had another sibling and cousin, but worried because he'd heard the premature births could be dangerous and painful, "Premature, what happened?" he asked fearful, "Is she okay?" Bill's and Fleur's silence terrified him, Ron was paling in terror and Hermione had felt her heart sink as her, Luna, and Alicia had held onto one another.

"We lost her for a short while, but for some reason she continues to bounce back. I don't know how she's doing it. But she's alive and well." Fleur spoke softly. The memories of her wedding had not fully been a positive one and had left her scarred of them.

"Draco's dead, isn't he?" Harry asked suddenly, the memory of hearing his name being spoken over the wizarding radio had shattered him, Ron and Hermione. Remembering they had been walking one early morning and had heard the names being called out from the first day the attacks had begun from the Wizarding community to the muggle community, Draco Lucius Malfoy had been the name that had come through the radio sending the three to a stop and into the Wizarding community in disguise asking about Draco's condition. Everything had come back to them as killed, gutted by his own cousin, a rumor had been flying around that Bellatrix or another Death Eater had used Imperio on him to do the act, though Harry and Ron had the feeling he'd have done it without the curse being used. But after Finn helped them getting the baby and the two girls out of there alive and at the cost of his own life, they were rather confused and very curious. But they'd be able to get the real story later, hopefully they won the war that was coming their way rather quickly and in the hopes that it would be over in the next few months before another year went by.

But that was a few days ago, the Trio had been on their way to Gringotts and had succeeded in getting a Horcrux out of Bellatrix's vault, unfortunately Griphook had betrayed them and had planned to leave them for dead, but thanks to Hermione's quick and crazy thinking they had gotten out alive and in one piece with the Horcrux, now they just had to get into Hogwarts. That was the tricky thing.

They all knew Luna was likely back at school now, hopefully with Alicia's ring back in her possession, they had seen a chain around Alicia's neck with another, larger, ring and had wandered who's it was, "It belonged to Cormag Ravenclaw, Helena Ravenclaw's son. Had a wedding ring for himself and his mother's ring was given to Cormag's wife for her wedding ring. The very ring I sent to Luna to keep safe and out of his hands." That bit of news had been a bit shocking. Helena Ravenclaw had said nothing in death as a spirit of having any children, nor had she had any records of her child anywhere.

The Weasley's Cabin

Remus rushed in from the office room after hearing the 'weather report' from Hogwarts and had felt his heart jump and sink in fear all at once, "They're at Hogwarts!" he shouted, waking the sleeping baby in Andromeda's arms, but had been glad he hadn't been scolded for waking his son, a wonderful bundle of joy he knew would bring him bright days for his future.

Andromeda nodded to her daughter kissing Dora's forehead and nodded towards Remus and the others as they all gathered to move out, "Go, I have the children." And with a heavy heart Andromeda Tonks watched her family vanish from her very eyes. 'Please, come home. As many of you as possible.'

Hogwarts

May 2, 1998

Emma smiled as she apparated into Aberforth's home and found the aging and slightly sulking Dumbledore moving towards the Order Member's with a sad smile, "I'm sorry my dear girl. I tried talking them out of it… But I suppose that was a fools' wish… There's been too much death Ii thought it was worth a try…" Aberforth said hugging the red head into a tight embrace, "He's in the school. I have someone coming to let you through the portal into the school as we speak little Emma. Everyone should be glad to see you all. Ah, Draco, I heard you were gutted by your cousin, glad to see you alive and well my boy." Aberforth said with a happy smile as he looked Draco over, his once refined cut hair had grown a bit longer and able enough to pull back a bit into a hair tie, many people would likely not recognize him. But their attention had been drawn to the Portrait of Ariana opened, revealing someone that looked nothing like the once chubby cheeked fraidy cat that he used to be as he grinned happily to them all, "Hey guys, finally showing up are ya?"

Remus and the others smiled in shock and happiness to see him at least alive, "Neville?" Dora was stunned as she looked him over thinking the young man couldn't possibly be Neville Longbottom. Neither did the others as they stared in shock, "Good Lord my boy," Arthur smiled, and checked the young man over, in wonder what Ron and the other two must look like now after not seeing them for so long.

"Is that really you Longbottom?"

Emma spoke no words as she rushed the tall, young man, and pulled him into her arms, hugging him tightly with Draco joining in on the hug fest.

Neville had noticed Draco on the spot, his hair was a bit hard to not notice, but the length had shocked him a bit. He smiled gladly when the blond had rushed him while Emma was in the middle of her own hug, but he'd taken both hugs. "Nice seeing you alive Draco… Heard Finn gutted you pretty good, Ginny's been on edge ever since getting here with no news. Either way, come on. We need to go fast. Snape's rounding everyone up to get answers about Harry being here in the school."

Rushing through the new passageway Remus and Sirius were stunned and rather impressed, "Who made this?" Draco asked, speaking up before the two Marauders had the chance to do so. But Neville's little laugh had given them a bit of room for concern and wonder, "We all did, had to quickly build it to have a way in and out, especially if we needed to get food in or anyone else in, like Luna."

"Luna's here? She's safe?" Dora quickly spoke up with hope, "Is Alicia with her?"

But Neville shook his head sadly, he had a feeling someone would ask about Harry's redheaded lover, and he hated being the bearer of bad news, "No, Alicia never came back with Luna, said she's somewhere safe. Didn't want to tell anyone in case someone was listening in on us where we're staying. Draco, maybe we should show you last, I'm sure there will be plenty of people that will be very glad to see you. Save the best for last, what for ya say?"

"I say we go for it, gives us some kind of fun before we get this war over with." Draco laughed and high-fived Neville in agreement shuffling himself back behind the group as he opened the other end of the portrait inside the school, "Hey!... So, guess who else decided to join us today?" Neville said speaking out to everyone, pulling their attention from the trio ass he moved aside and down the ladder with the Order Members as everyone cheered and smiled. But the best reactions had come from the trio.

Harry, Ron and Hermione had rushed the Order member's slamming themselves into their most dearly loved family member's, or Parental image, arms.

Ron had rushed for his brother's and parents, Hermione launched herself into Dora's and Remus's arms as Harry latched onto Emma and Sirius, hugging them with a vise like grip, tears streaming down his face, "I'm never letting either of you go again."

"Hey, where the bloody hell is my hug at Jamie? Thought we were practically brothers." The voice had stunned the three friends, it was a voice they knew well, one that they had believed they'd never hear again. But their eyes hadn't lied to them as they'd looked at the very back of the Order group that had come through the portrait passage and found a tall blond, blue-eyed, Malfoy standing there with a laughing grin at their shock.

He had honestly expected one of them to punch him really, not tackle him nearly into the unlit fireplace he was standing behind, and he had to be honest, he was very relieved the fire pit was not in use at the moment. Draco held Hermione flush against him, between himself and Ron, who laughed at Draco for his long hair.

"Cut it mate, you can't pull off long hair." Ron teased with tears in his eyes while Hermione had been left with no words as she cried, relieved the constant rumors had been nothing but rumors. Draco was alive, and the terrible ordeal of what they had all gone through had cleared from her mind. Yet the two friends had cleared the way for Harry, who seemed to be having a slow start to what was going on, the reality that Draco was in fact alive.

Harry looked as if he were in shocker truthfully, "You okay there Jamie?" Draco asked rather worried now he and Neville may have taken the little playful surprise a bit too far at the moment, he was supposed to be dead honestly. Now, the surprise just seemed like a bad idea. However, both Harry and Draco's relief had come when Harry had hugged Draco in a vise grip, letting it all re-sink into his mind that he wasn't dreaming, it wasn't a nightmare and he was not hallucinating. "You're alive… You're alive…"

"I'm alive Jamie… Finn got me good, but you have to take out the heart if you want to kill a dragon, and he did call me a dragon before he left." Draco said trying to spin a bit of fun on the situation but had found it a failure when Ron and Hermione had both rejoined the reunion hug, the three of them crying all over again. Now Draco just felt like an ass, "I would have sent something out to you guys, but I couldn't risk it. If they got wind of the information, they'd have used it to draw you all out or have attacked us again."

Luna, knowing this was a way better time to say something about that had stepped forward and spoke up, hoping they'd believe her, "Draco, Finn was under Imperio when he tried to kill you."

"And who told you that? Finn? Luna has he gotten into your head or something-"

"Bellatrix," Luna interrupted, trying not to be upset, she had after all been one of the few there and witnessed the twisting events of change, so anyone who hadn't been there was understandably going to be harsh and not believe a word. After everything he'd done, she couldn't blame them, " She admitted to it, said it right in front of Alicia and myself. He started acting strange after he was cursed into doing that, said he never wanted to kill you at all, not ever. Alicia told me she had confronted him on it one day, said he broke down and just wasn't himself at all after that. He admitted he hadn't thought anything was the way it would have been. Claimed that had Bellatrix not cursed him he'd probably still be just as mad as your aunt and He is. Finn may be crazy and out of sorts, but he saved Alicia and Hermione's lives, he saved mine, even a child's life. A baby girl Alicia and I helped the mother birth into the world. The child is actually his now. Wouldn't let her sleep anywhere but with Alicia. He knew someone was likely going to come for her, or us both, and wanted the baby in the best location of safety. He did all of this in exchange for his own life. He took the fall for you mum Draco, had he not done it his way, your mother may have been killed."

Draco was lost for words he really had no idea what to believe and was actually thinking Luna had really gone mad while imprisoned at the Manor.

But Seamus had voiced his thoughts, honestly, they were Draco's as well, "Well, that's a twist…."

However, Hermione had spoken up and confirmed a few things, "It's true though, he slipped me his wand, said it was the wand, not the user that could de-spell the shield. Bellatrix went after him when he confronted her about… about interrogating me when she had. She sent him flying. Tackled your mum from trying to help Bellatrix and took the fall for her. She wasn't just going to try to recapture us Draco, I saw that look in her eyes, she was going to turn on them for us to get away."

"Do you know what happened to him?" Dean asked, curious about the boy who had gone from psychologically crazy to near redemption, "No, likely they killed him-"

"If he was lucky that is." Sirius said with a sigh, "Either way, you three are here and safe, Alicia and Luna are safe and free from their imprisonment and now we can end this war once and for all."

Just as soon as the words had left him a message had come over the castle speakers demanding every student to be in the great hall at once. Shackelbolt nodded and made his steps to get everyone ready and in motion, "alright everyone, let's get going, we'll wait until the doors close behind you then wait to come in. Hurry let's go. Seamus, do you happen to have a robe for Harry to cover up with?" he asked the closest boy to him and got a smiled nod, "Yeah, one moment,"

Robe handed to Harry and placed in play they all moved to get the war over with, Voldemort was marching, and he was getting very close.

Shell Cottage

"Alicia, Supper's ready-" Fleur had frozen at the door, Alicia's room was empty and sheer panic filled her as she rushed around the home in search of the redhead, "Alicia?"

"Come on Fleur, we're helping them." the sudden voice had stunned the woman and scared her causing Fleur to spin looking behind her, eyes landing on Alicia holding Sabine, "Where are you taking her?"

"The one thing I do know is that everyone in the order would have left someone with the children at the Weasley's home, so we take Sabine there leave her with said watcher then head to help the others. I can't let them fight this alone, and neither should you Fleur. Your husband is there as we speak ready to fight."

"Do you really believe I'd let Bill go out there without me! I didn't even want him to go!" Fleur was outraged, feeling as if Alicia was accusing her of being a coward and an unfaithful wife to not fight by his side, but she had to stay with Alicia and the baby, the girl had no wand, she was magicless without it, or was she?

"You 'ave no wand, Alicia! I can' just leave you 'ere!" Fleur's French was clearly coming to ears, the more flustered, positive or negative, would always bring it about. "Then we take her to Madame Maxime-"

"Madame Maxime is at the Weasley's Cabin with Andromeda and the children." Fleur said, her feathers clearly ruffled enough to spill that can jumping beans. With a sigh, Fleur waved her arms up in defeat and grabbed her wand, "Fine, we shall go, but you stay near me, I 'ave a wand- that girl! I swear she does not ècoute!" Fleur shouted in outrage once Alicia had grinned and Disaparated of without her.

Ècoute= "listen"

Apparating inside the Cabin, Fleur was even more angered when Andromeda had informed her that Alicia had asked to borrow one of their wands, and Maxime had gladly handed hers' over, knowing very well Andromeda was a better dueler and herself a faster Disapparater and Aparater. A team they made very well.

Hogwarts – outside of the Great Hall

Alicia had smirked at Fleur when the woman had apparated near her and the Order members, Bill clearly not happy either one was there, "And Sabine? You just left her at the Cottage?"

Fleur and Alicia gave him a bit of a shocked and irritated look, but Fleur had huffed with a disappointed glare to her husband, "Don't be absurd Bill, we left her with Andromeda and Maxime at the Cabin. Really you believe me to be so irresponsible. An' you, young lady, we shall be 'aving a talk afterwards."

But their conversations had been interrupted when Harry's words cut through, "It seems, Professor, that no matter how hard you try, you still happen to have a few security problems."

"I believe that is our cue to arrive," Remus said, allowing Shackelbolt the privilege to move the line first, the doors opening as they all walked in.

But Harry hadn't stopped there, looking at Snape where he stood enraged the boy to a new level he never truly knew, "How dare you stand where he stood!... Tell them! Tell them how you looked him in the eyes, a man who trusted you, and killed him!"

Emma wasn't the only one who'd seen Snape flinch a little, but the second he'd raised his wand to Harry, they had moved for their wands as the students cleared a path, yet it had been Minerva McGonagall who had stepped forward quickly, moving Harry back behind her, a look mixed in sheer determination, anger, and disappoint at Severus Snape, she had trusted him along with Albus and she was finding that he had betrayed them all, not truly knowing this had all been planned years ago. Her wand raised and ready to duel, she was not going to back down, not from this. She had been angered for a moment when he'd faltered and lowered his wand sharing a look with her, but his plea had not reached McGonagall. But Emma, Remus and Sirius had all witnessed the smallest details of the scene. Severus Snape had not wanted to fight her. He hadn't wanted to fight anyone. Maybe knock Harry unconscious to shut him up but that was about it.

Minerva had cast the first spell, back and forth they went, Snape sending one of her fire spells out and around him and took the chance to move out of the castle smoking up and shattering part of the window behind him as he fled.

"Is it just me, or did he bail on that duel?" Shackelbolt asked softly over to Remus, who simply nodded as the students cheered for their Professor's victory as she relit the candles of the great hall once more.

But their victory was short lived as a few kids and young girls began to scream in mental pain, trying to block out some form of ear-piercing voice that scared them to their core.

Malfoy Manor

Narcissa snuck herself into the cellar in search of Finn, a vile and a piece of parchment in hand, her wand in another hand and Finn's wand tucked away in her dress coat pocket, she was breaking him out while no one was currently present in, or around the Manor.

Finn had endorsed his first week of painful, bone crunching, transformation. She had asked Snape for the vile in the boy's favor, and she was relieved when he had quickly put together the potion after Fenrir had bitten the boy, since the first transformation he'd been taking the potion, now was the potion for pains and nausea after the cycle had ended with the end of the full moon.

"Narcissa? What are you doing down here, it's not dusk yet." Finn had been shocked and rather fearful they'd be caught and her punished, meaning more pain for him while she was forced to watch her nephew be slashed and beaten to a near unrecognizable pulp in front of her, a sort of 'show' Voldemort had begun to enjoy.

Shaking her head, Narcissa handed him the vile and a parchment he tucked away in his back pocket and downed the vile that had helped him from getting sick every moment he moved and took away the aching pains, "No, you're pulling a jailbreak. Come on. The shields are down for now, only we are here at the moment. We have to leave now."
