Chapter 24

I found out very early on from training with Jevil that I was actually a very fast learner when it came to using magic. I now had the ability to create controlled flames from my hands, I could control the water droplets in the air to form entire concentrated puddles of liquid without ever using a sink, and, most surprising of all, I was finally able to teleport... though the process would take a bit of time to practice, since... well, my clothes couldn't travel with me as of yet, so I accidentally teleported directly out of my clothes directly behind Jevil and Chara, them laughing up a storm when they saw me in the nude, me immediately getting my clothes on after hightailing it to the bathroom, my face flushing red all over.

"Maybe we should practice the teleportation technique in private areas rather than in wide open spaces, eh Player One?" Jevil asked, me smirking at him and his little pet name he gave me ever since I first met him.

"Yeah, I think that'd be a wise choice," I said with a groan as we then managed to practice a couple more tricks... though I could tell that Bob looked a little bit antsy as he watched the magic, me looking over to him and seeing that he looked to be pretty nervous right now. "Is there something up, Bob?" I asked, him nodding at that with sweat pouring down his furry face.

"I don't know why... but I sense a disturbance... one that's kind of invading my mind... and I can hear the other Temmies' minds as well... they're also having this affliction... I have no idea what's causing it," Bob said, me looking at Jevil and Chara and them smiling at me.

"Looks like I got a job to do. Jevil, since I know you can, make it so that I can see what's going on in Bob and the Temmies' minds," I said, Jevil smirking at that as he then used his powers... or so I thought. For some bizarre reason, when Jevil activated the spell... nothing happened!

"Huh? Let's try that once more," Jevil smiled as he then tried to cast the spell again... and nothing! "I-I don't understand! That technique is super easy to use! Mind reading is one of the simplest forms of psychic magic out there! Why is it not working?!" Jevil asked, obviously shocked at how his magic wasn't working at all... but then I had a sudden realization. The fact that Jevil's magic wasn't working despite it being a simple spell, Bob and the other Temmies being the only ones affected, and it was an unseen force?

"Temmie Chang..." I gawked, the group looking at me in confusion.

"Huh? What's a Temmie Chang? Is that a special Temmie that I've never heard of before?" Bob asked, him immediately holding his paws to his head afterwards and him groaning in pain shortly after. "Augh! What the hell is this thing?! It's giving me an even bigger headache than those other Temmies!" Bob groaned angrily, me then explaining it.

"Temmie Chang comes from my world, and was the co-creator for Undertale. She crafted many of the areas and even created Papyrus and Undyne... and the Temmies, such as you, were based on her pet cat," I said, Bob groaning again as I then felt something happen to him. His eyes turned blank before then returning to normal with them being a bit more feminine than what I remembered Bob to look like... it certainly wasn't him or Hans in control.

"P-Please... help me," the voice said in a very shy-sounding female voice, me knowing what was going on.

"What are you even doing, Temmie Chang? And how are you in this universe anyways?" I asked her in plain annoyance. Why did the creators of this world have to interfere with it so much when I was in it?

"I... I didn't ask for this to happen," Temmie said, me looking at her in confusion. "I... I've always wanted this world to be freed of time loops... to be independent... but Toby wanted this world to be trapped in limbo all for the sake of his game getting attention from the fans... countless AU attempts, most of them extremely gruesome versions of Genocide... countless people experimenting with the lives of the monsters in this world... I was tired of it all... and as for why I'm in this universe, I'm a part of the original Temmie Change... her insecurities made flesh... though Toby's manifestation in the Annoying Dog... it made it impossible for me to warn anyone at all... I was trapped in the Void by that dumb mutt until you defeated him..." Temmie Chang said, me looking at her in confusion as well as gasping at the last bit... another monster from the void, only this one was a part of a human from my world and was in the form of a spirit, one I couldn't see for a change.

"So why are you trying to hurt Bob and the other Temmies' minds?" I asked, her sighing at that.

"I'm not, I just want to have a second chance at life, like you gave to everyone else you saw, minus Gaster and Toby... for obvious reasons, of course... just... I want a vessel to meld my mind and soul with... but the Temmies don't seem like they want anything to do with me, which is why they have their brains hurting... I had to basically force my way into Bob's mind so I could speak to you like this... he's going to get conked out for a little bit after I leave his body..." Chang said with sadness in her expression and her voice.

"Well, why didn't you just ask, miss?" said the voice of someone I didn't expect to be listening in, that being the ever-caring Goat Mom herself. "If you need someone to help out, I'd be more than happy to assist, miss... Chang, correct?" she said, Temmie looking at Toriel and then at me and me smirking at her.

"Try anything to hurt her or us after melding soul and mind with Toriel, and I'll find a way to dislodge you from her soul. That's a promise," I said, Temmie nodding at that.

"I wouldn't dare hurt a fly... it was Toby who decided on the Genocide paths to be an option, all I did was the art and creation, only to get a decent paycheck," Temmie said, me nodding at that as I then saw a small mist of light blue escape Bob's ears and he immediately fell unconscious on the ground shortly after as the mist then entered through Toriel's nostrils and Toriel then sighed in and out as I could feel her get a slight power increase, most likely from her getting a human's mind and soul inside of her.

"Her soul... it's one of Patience, much like Ribbon's was," Toriel said with a small smile as I then looked at Bob and saw he was breathing in and out and he was smiling as he then looked like he was running in his sleep like a dog did, me smirking at how cute it looked.

"I think I'll watch over Bob and Hans until either of the two can wake up... and before you ask, Hans was the name of one of the followers, the one who held a head in his hand," I said, the group putting their hands down shortly after they raised them. I then simply walked over to the nearby rocking chair and proceeded to stroke Bob along his back and smile at him. He was just as lovable as my own Temmie back home... the poor thing probably didn't survive that terrible hurricane or she ran away shortly after the house broke loose... she was a very skittish kitty cat and she did have a tendency to rush outside whenever I opened the door.

"Well, even if she were gone, I'm sure that she's in a better place," Charlotte said in my mind, me nodding at that.

"Yeah... I know," I smiled as I continued to pet Bob as well as pet him behind the ears, me looking over towards one of Chara's distant relatives in the house and seeing that she looked to have her eyes watering and she looked like she had some boogers hanging from her red nose.

"Ugh... what in the world is making my allergies flare up?" she asked, me looking at her and then at Bob and seeing that his fur was flown all over the place from me petting him.

"Sorry, but I think it may be Bob's fur... he's part cat and part dog, after all," I said, her then sneezing in response, getting a ton of boogers on me and me being grossed out by it.

"S-Sorry about that... ugh... yeah, I'm allergic to cats... maybe you and him should probably sleep at a different house other than here? All of my family is allergic to cats and I don't want to have them sneezing all night," she said, me nodding at that.

"Understandable... I'll just go ahead and sleep at the house with MK, Undyne, and Alphys, then," I said with a smile as I then walked out of the door and proceeded over to the next-door house, which was my destination. I then knocked on the door with Bob in hand and saw that the owner opened the door with a smile, her being a young adult around my age and having a Temmie with her as well.

"Hey there... what's the occasion, miss Indie?" she asked with a smile.

"Chara's distant relatives are allergic to cats, so I needed to move me and Bob to a new place. I thought we could stay here until the transports come, since I'm besties with the others that live here," I said with a smile.

"Of course, come on in... just don't tell Undyne to cook, because she's a bit too extreme with it," the girl said, me smiling at that.

"I'm aware of that and I can cook for all of us," I smiled at her widely. I then went inside to see that Alphys, Undyne, and MK were all gathered around the television and were watching an anime, which looked just like the ones back home in my world. And the one they were watching right now? It looked an awful lot like the Astro Boy anime, only it starred a female robot instead.

"What'cha watchin'?" I smiled at them.

"It's a really cool anime called Satellite Girl! From what I heard from Miss Crumb, it's the oldest anime out there!" Undyne said, me smiling at that.

"Hehe, looks like human life in this world is strikingly similar to my world," I said with a smile. "See, in my world, the show existed as Astro Boy, and it had the same basic premise as this anime, only it starred a boy robot... but the same basic principles applied, including it being the very first anime in my world," I said with a smile.

"Sweet! So the only major difference is the gender and title, huh? Well, are there any other differences?" Alphys asked with a smile as I then watched the show with them and saw that the robot girl shot bullets from her hair instead of from her butt and that her leg was what shot lasers at foes, not her fingers or arms. And she flew via jet pack on her back. Also, she was fully dressed as opposed to Astro Boy only having boxers.

"Well, in Astro Boy, the character only dressed in boxers, he shot lasers from his arms and legs, he flew with jets in his feet, and the bullets? They fired from his rear end," I said, MK laughing at that and Alphys and Undyne both blushing at that.

"Well, that's a bit much, isn't it? That the character shoots bullets from his butt?" Alphys asked, that making MK laugh even harder and start to kick her legs.

"It was so that it'd be built-in as a surprise attack feature that surprised enemies. As one person from my world put it, 'no one ever suspects the butt guns'," I said, that making MK laugh even harder to the point she was tearing up, me smirking at that as I then had to hold her gently to prevent her from rolling around on the floor.

"Well, you managed to break my kid. Thanks for that," said a monster I didn't see before. It was a couple of lizards that I had a feeling were MK's parents. One was the green library lizard, who was male, and the other was the yellow monster that was a reporter, who was female, both of whom worked at the librarby, as spelled on the sign.

"So you must be MK's parents, right?" I asked, them nodding at that with smiles.

"Yes, we are. MK told us you took her on quite the adventure through the entire Underground... helping tons of different monsters, some of which normal people couldn't even see, such as my mother, right?" the yellow reporter asked, me nodding at that.

"Yes... I've missed you, Newsette," GG said, me then smacking my head at that... before I then sighed in defeat of the puns.

"Okay, maybe I should stop smacking my face every time that I hear a pun name... it'd probably get on the others' nerves, huh?" I asked, the green dinosaur smiling at that.

"If it makes you feel any better, Indie, my name is Bruce. Asgore couldn't think of a punny name to give me when I was born, since he was super groggy and tired when I was born," he said, me smiling at that. But it was then that the Temmie looked at Bob with confusion.

"Did Mister Bob have something happen to him?" the Temmie asked, me actually doing a double-take at that. She didn't use her silly joke speak at all!

"Um... did you just speak normally?" I asked, her smiling at that.

"Yeah, I did. We Temmies made a deal that, now that we're finally free, we can stop with the dumb speak, since it was just to pass time and be adorable. So now, we just speak normally with the occasional Hoi here and there," Temmie smiled, me shaking my head with a wide grin on my face.

"I had a feeling you guys were weird by choice, but I could never see if it was indeed the truth... Bob's gonna be relieved to hear that for sure when he wakes up... he got possessed by someone that I didn't expect," I said, MK and Alphys looking at me in confusion, since the kid had finally stopped laughing.

"Who possessed Bob?" Alphys asked.

"The co-creator of this world, Temmie Chang... or at least, a version of her that was formed in this world," I said, Alphys gasping at that and looking very worried.

"W-Wait... T-Temmie Chang?... I-Is she still in Bob?" Alphys asked with worry.

"There's no need to worry, Alphys. Chang didn't want the time loops or genocide to happen... in fact, her presence in this world was set in the Void due to the Annoying Dog trapping her there... she tried to meld her soul and mind with the Temmies, but they didn't want to do so, which resulted in them having headaches... she then forced herself to possess Bob so she could talk to me and Toriel offered to meld her soul with miss Chang... but I did give her a fair warning that, if she did anything to hurt us, I'd find a method to separate her soul form Toriel's," I said, the Temmie nearby frowning at that.

"Huh... so that's why my head hurt, huh? And poor Bobby... is he going to be okay?" the Temmie asked.

"Yeah, he'll be okay. He's just going to have to rest for a bit. And I'm going to be sleeping at this house until the transports come, since Chara's relatives are allergic to Temmies," I said. "Also, do you guys have names? Or are all of you called Temmie except for Bob?" I asked, the Temmie giggling at that.

"Haha, no, we have names. I'm Kimmie. I was the one in charge of the Tem Shop," she said, me smiling at her widely.

"Nice to meet you," I smiled at her as I then sat on the rocking chair in this house and proceeded to pet Bob with a smile on my face. "I really want to have Bob as a permanent buddy... he's just so cute and fluffy... though him having another monster in his body means that I might not be able to always hold him and pet him like this," I said with a small smile, Alphys smiling at that.

"That's one thing we can agree on. All of us think Temmies look cute," Alphys smiled.

"And from what I remember from the old records, the Temmies were the last monsters to go to the Underground, namely because the humans actually liked them because of them being cute and silly... but in the end, they all agreed the threat of a monster with a human soul was too dangerous, no matter who it was," the owner of the house said with a sigh.

"Well, when we meet with the president, we're going to try and enact some special laws, namely ones that outlaw anything related to soul fights. Because that's one of the main tactics used to have monsters and humans kill each other," I said with a sigh as I then noticed there was a spider on the ground and they had a donut on their back. "Is this from Miss Muffet, little guy?" I asked, me smirking as I could actually hear a very tiny voice.

"Yeah, it is. She wants to try making non-spider pastries and this is her first attempt," the spiderling said, me then taking it and seeing that, though it looked a tiny bit burnt, it was covered in glaze and, on the inside, it had a creme filling. I then bit into it and immediately smiled and trilled a bit at the flavor. It tasted a lot like butterscotch pudding, which I then ate the rest of it with a smile.

"Tell her it was delicious and to keep up the good work," I smiled at the spiderling.

"Thanks, miss!" it smiled as it then went over to the kitchen and I saw it climb up to the window with some spider silk, me walking over and seeing that it was speaking with Muffet outside the window.

"You really think my pastry was delicious, deary?" Muffet asked with a blush on her gray face.

"Yeah, it was. It was a tiny bit burnt on one side, but it was a very good donut," I smiled, Muffet smirking at that widely as she then did something with her eyes. She fluttered them flirtatiously, all five of them. "Um... are you flirting with me, Muffet?" I asked, her smirking at me widely and nodding.

"I've wanted to thank you in some form or fashion for helping my spiders out of the Ruins. I heard that humans were horrible people and that they hated spiders, but it's obvious that you care a lot about me and my kids... and I wanted to repay you by being your girlfriend... is that okay, Indie?" Muffet asked, me smiling at that.

"So long as you don't bite me, I accept," I smiled, Muffet blushing widely at that and me seeing that she looked ready to burst with glee, her then jumping up and down with all six of her arms going up in the air in excitement, me smiling at how she was so happy and how, despite her being very creepy, she was still a teenage spider girl deep down. "I know I shouldn't ask, but I have to... how old are you, Muffet?" I asked, her giggling at that.

"I'm 27 years old, Indie. And how old are you?" Muffet smiled at me with her eyes fluttering again.

"21, but I'll be 22 in about a month," I said with a smile.

"Ahuhuhu! I want to show you something special, Indie... meet me in the house I'm living in. You deserve a reward after all that hard work you did to save all of us monsters," Muffet said, me smiling at her widely.

"Okay, if that's what you want, I guess I'll do that," I said with a smile, Muffet then walking her way across the street and five houses down to what appeared to be a house that was fashioned out of a barn. I then went to the others and smirked at them. "I'm going to go visit Muffet's place right now. I want you guys to watch over Bob until I come back, okay?" I said, them all nodding at that.

"Sure," Undyne smirked at me as everyone else nodded and I then proceeded to go to the house where Muffet was... and I had to really hope that she didn't want to move too fast too soon.
