CC is determined to attend the ball. But Lelouch wouldn't let her and she doesn't have a dress. That's why she took Lelouch's credit card and sneaked out. After hours of walking and looking, she had found the perfect dress. It was a modernized Victorian style dress in golden-yellow, just like Belle's dress when she first danced with the Beast, but with a more seductive touch. The back wasn't bare, but sheathed in clear yellow lace with intricate crocheted design. The saleslady at the dress shop all stood in awe as she tried the dress, it was perfect they claimed. So she bought the dress and paid for it using Lelouch's money. Poor Lelouch! This is what he gets for antagonizing her too much. And speaking of him, isn't that his Warlock himself? What is he doing here? Did he found out that she took his card? Just then, an evil smirk crosses her pallid face, "My, my, what a lovely turn of events."

CC stealthily follows Lelouch around. The boy seems to be looking for something or someone. It doesn't matter though, he'll be in for a surprise. She walked ahead, hid in an alley, and waited. She heard footsteps approaching, closer to her now, and then, she jumped, tackling the raven-haired man in full force.

The sudden attack sent the cap of the raven-haired man to fall away. But being a true gentleman and despite the shock, he positioned himself to cushion the fall knowing that the attacker was a woman.

"My, my, Lelouch. What awful strength ….." CC's words trailed as her golden eyes met another pair of golden eyes. No, it was green but the yellow hints on it make it seem golden at certain light. He looks like Lelouch.

"Oh." Golden green eyes continue to stare at her making her uncomfortable. Her cheeks reddened when she realized she still had him pinned. Lithe as a cat, she quickly untangled herself from him and sits at the ground. "I'm sorry. I thought I know you." She said regaining her composure.

A sigh escaped his lips as the woman moved away. Not because she was heavy, but because he felt a sudden loss, a sudden longing. The raven-haired man sits straighter, enthralled by the beauty before him. Words escape him as he continues to stare. His mind cannot process how a goddess could materialize in front of him and yet here she is. His heart would soon burst from its erratic beating for he had never seen someone as beautiful as the one before him.

He notices a porcelain hand extending to him, his eyes following the movement of her hand, landing on his arm. "Are you alright?" The goddess asked.

'I… I'm…" The raven-haired man stuttered. Another mumbling fool, she thought. Another raven-haired handsome mumbling fool with mesmerizing eyes to be exact, she mused. And here they are, in another staring contest.

"My lord!", a concerned voice rang from behind, effectively breaking the spell. The odd couple both stood up as a silver-haired man walked towards them.

"Uhm.. You look like someone I know. I'm really sorry about earlier. I hope I didn't break any of your bones." She accompanied her apology with a bow, turned her back, and proceeded to leave.

"Wait." Finally finding his voice, his hands seemingly moved and sought the goddess's wrist. The girl turned and looked him in the eye with a questioning glare. The moment her eyes met his, he lost the ability to breathe, to think, and to speak again. He berated himself internally; he'd never acted like this in front of anyone before so why is he being like this now? Composing himself, he inhaled, and just then, another hand grabbed him by the elbows. He looked behind him to see his butler, Riff Raffit, standing behind me. He was about to say something to Riff when he felt the girl yanked her wrist from his hand.

"Wait!" he shouted. But the emerald goddess never even turned around. "Your name. Tell me your name, my lady!" He made a move to follow her, but Riff restrained him.

"Lord Cain." Riff said.

"You sure have impeccable timing Riff." Cain admonished.

"My lord, Miss Mary has finished trying out her dress. They are waiting for us.", answered Riff.

He looked around, hoping to see where the beauty went. But he couldn't find her anywhere now. Like a mirage, the girl vanished. Was what happened earlier just a fragment of his mind? Defeated, Cain sighed.

"Are you troubled by what Miss Mary discerned from her cards, my Lord?" inquired the butler.

"Mary's tarot cards?" It was then that Cain remembered. And he chuckled at the thought, making Riff wonder.

"I think I met her already Riff." Cain declared.

"My Lord, I seem to remember you saying that you don't believe in any of it. Or have you changed your mind?" Riff inquired.

"I still don't, Riff. I still don't." Cain said with a whimsical smile gracing his handsome face.

CC trailed behind as "Not Lelouch" and his butler walked away. They entered a restaurant and joined the table of a blonde girl and a jolly man. Even outside, she heard the blonde girl's delighted and the jolly man's shy scream of "big brother" when Not Lelouch came. She also heard Not Lelouch telling the jolly man that he wouldn't give her precious sister to someone as boisterous as him. The jolly man, nonetheless, was not disheartened. So, the raven hair and the physique aren't the only things Lelouch and Not Lelouch share in common. Surprisingly, they both have beautiful younger sisters and a complex to go with it. Cain. That was what the butler called Not Lelouch earlier. A smile crossed CC's face as she gave one last look at the party inside. She turned her back and looked for the nearest Pizza Hut.

A/N

So? How was it? I just finished reading the Count Cain Saga and I couldn't help but notice that Lelouch and Cain have similarities. So I wonder..

Anyways, I still believe Lelouch is for CC. I'm just giving him another competition for CC's hands. I mean, Lelouch has his own harem, so why not make CC her own? Even if it is just one.

Tell me what you think. Thanks.
