Hey guys. Just writing to let you know that this is going to be an extremely short chapter. I've got a lot of things going on right now that I would rather keep personal. But I am working on a new chapter as you're reading this, and might have it up by tonight or tomorrow morning dependent on how for I get. Thank you to the very few people that have been keeping up with and reading this story.
Rainbow was flying only about 100 feet off the ground, and going fast, but not too fast, for she didn't want to scare her little bundle.
August was barely peeking out of his position in Rainbows foreleg. Trembling hard, from what happened earlier, and from what was happening now.
Rainbow looked down at him and noticed his nervous state, and slowed down a little bit.
"Hey, it's okay little guy, I promise I won't drop you." She said to him softly, and slightly tightened her grip on him. Throughout the whole time they had August, they all noticed how sensitive he was, especially when it came to new things. She had to start thinking of a way to remind him there was nothing to be afraid of.
This slightly reassured August, and he looked forward at the scenery. He started wondering why she took him with he x and why she was flying higher.
"R-Rainbow D-Dash, where are we going?" He asked her.
"Well August, we're going there." Rainbow said, and pointed slightly up with her free hoof.
August looked in the direction and saw a cloud in the shape of a house, with rainbows spewing out of it.
Rainbow smiled, "That's where I live buddy."
Augusts mouth went agape, "W-wow Rainbow, your house is very pretty."
Rainbow smiled and rubbed him lightly, "Yeah, I get that a lot."
She flew towards her home and stopped at the front door. She opened it up and walked in.
Coming out of nowhere came what looked to be a tortoise, with a propellor attached to the shell. August yelped and cowered into her hoof.
Rainbow looked at Tank and chuckled, "What's up Tank. Did ya miss me?"
Tank slowly nodded, as it was his only means of communication.
"Now Tank, I'm gonna show you something, or someone, and no, he's not food." Rainbow looked at him sternly, and brought out August from her chest, "I want you to meet August."
Tank leaned his head down to look at him, as he wasn't even the size of a bottle cap.
August was terrified, shaking, afraid of what he was going to do to him.
Tank lightly gave him a quick nudge, and flew back.
Rainbow looked back down at August, "Now August, this is Tank, he's a tortoise. He's really cool and he saved my life one day. He's been with me ever since. Don't worry, he won't hurt you."
He looked at Tank, and he could have swore he saw him wink at him.
Rainbow trotted past Tank and to her bedroom.
She went in and looked around, a little upset that she had to leave it behind. But it was for August, and she would do anything to keep him safe.
She went to gently set August down on her bed, before she realized she forgot one detail.
This was a CLOUD house.August was not a Pegasus. She turned around as fast as she could to dart through the cloud to save him, but she didn't have to.
August was sitting on her cloud bed.Rainbows mouth and eyes went wide, and August started to get nervous.
"A-August, you... You're sitting on a cloud!" Rainbow told him.
August stared at her puzzled, them looked down. He saw that he was indeed sitting on a cloud.
Rainbows face quickly went from shocked to joyful, "Yes, this is awesome! Now you can..." She forced herself to stop, as she wanted to keep this a surprise for him. She picked him up gently held him against her chest again.
"Come on August, we're gonna go back to the others. I've got to tell them about this!" Rainbow yelled, which was like thunder to August.
She quickly flew out the front door of her home and started flying back towards the castle.
I can't wait to tell August that he will be living with me! But, we're gonna have to tell him the bad news first. Man, this is gonna suck!
