"Look at him! This school cannot tolerate such behaviour! Blandin should be expelled. At the least!" Stan roared at principal Befufftlefumpter.
"Stanley, calm down." Ford put his hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Calm down?" Stan shook Ford's hand off his shoulder. "This is my grand-nephew we're talking about! If anyone lays a finger on my family, they only deserve the worst!" Stan clenched his fist.
Dipper sat quietly, tending to his bruised arm. He was sure that Mabel, who was sitting outside the office, could hear Stan shouting. In fact, the whole school could probably hear him. As if Dipper's situation wasn't embarrassing enough already. Dipper winced as he pressed his arm slightly harder. Principal Befufftlefumpter watched him through his old eyes.
The principal coughed to get the attention of the older Pines twins. "It is," Befufftlefumpter croaked, "devastating to hear that this student has been harmed by another student in our school." He took a breath. "We cannot alter the past, but we can influence the future. What punishment seems appropriate?"
"Expel Blandin!" Stan growled.
"As much as I want to expel Blendin, Stanley, we have to put things in perspective," Grunkle Ford said. "Last year, Wendy and her friends buttered the main corridor floor. Several students and faculty members slipped and hit their heads. We suspended them for a week. As much as I hate to admit it, Blendin Blandin can only be suspended at most."
Dipper sat awkwardly, listening to the other people in the room. He wasn't sure what he should do. Dipper hadn't told them about Blendin Blandin before, mainly because he could hide the injuries. But this time, Lolph and Dundgren grabbed him from behind, leaving Blendin to punch his stomach and arms. He could almost hear the taunts echoing in his ear, "Why don't you think your way out of this, Pines?"
Dipper noticed that the room had gone silent. He looked up to see the others staring at him. "What do you think, Dipper? What's the best punishment for Blendin?"
Dipper looked at Grunkle Stan. His teeth were clenched and he was breathing deeply. Dipper understood why Stan was so angry. Most of Dipper wanted to hurt Blendin as much as Blendin hurt him. But at the same time, Grunkle Ford was right. Dipper looked at principal Befufftelfumpter. "He should be suspended for as long as possible."
The principal smiled wisely. "I think that is a wise choice. You won't see Mr Blandin until the new year. That much I can assure you."
Dipper smiled and stood up. He followed his Grunkles to the door. "Oh, and Dipper?" Dipper turned to look at the principal. "I do want to congratulate you for doing so well in the G-lympics."
"Thank you, sir."
"I'm glad Blendin's finally gone. It felt bad knowing that he could hurt you, or anyone, whenever he wanted." Mabel leaned against the lockers and watched Dipper stuff some books into his bag.
"Well, don't get used to it. He's gonna be back." Dipper closed his locker and began walking to the cafeteria with his sister. Mabel frowned at his statement. "What?"
"You know you could have tried to expel him, right? Grunkle Stan told me that you chose to suspend him instead."
"It's not that simple. What he was caught doing is only worth a suspension. All his other bullying seems to be wiped from existence. And you can't expel someone with no evidence."
"Well, the evidence didn't just fly off! Haha, Ducktective joke! But seriously, it just disappeared?"
Dipper shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe someone is secretly watching and making sure that the weak stay in their place while the most powerful remain at the top." The twins looked at each other with serious faces. Then Mabel smirked which cracked Dipper up and they both started laughing. "But seriously, maybe suspension is good for him, you know? Let him reflect on what he's doing and change for the better."
When they entered the cafeteria, they were immediately met by Candy and Grenda.
"Dipper, are you okay?" Candy asked, grabbing his arm.
Dipper winced. "Yeah, just be careful with the arm."
"Oh right, sorry!" Candy let go of the arm.
"I want to punch someone in the face! Specifically Blendin!" Grenda smashed her fists together.
"Luckily, we won't be seeing Blendin's face for a while. Although I'm not sure who's luckier, us because we don't have to deal with Blendin, or Blendin because he doesn't need to deal with an angry Grenda."
Grenda laughed. "Well, I'm glad someone knows not to mess with me!"
"Hey guys, look!" Mabel pointed at a table where Lolph and Dundgren were sitting, unmoving. "Do you think they're secretly robots and now that Blendin's gone, nobody's controlling them?"
The group laughed, but Candy quickly shushed them. "Pacifica is watching us." The four of them looked at Pacifica's table, where Marius and Pacifica were sitting, watching them. As soon as they realised that Dipper had seen them, they looked away. Mabel shrugged. "Maybe they heard that Blendin won't be coming back for a while. It's no biggy!"
Dipper was sitting outside the Murder Hut, relaxing. Grunkle Stan had everybody working hard getting ready for the grand opening of the Murder Hut. Dipper liked to sit outside during his breaks. "It's been a week," said a voice from behind him. Dipper turned to see Grunkle Stan standing in the doorway.
"A week since... what, exactly?"
"Since that Blandin kid hurt you. So I think it's time that I teach you the art of self-defence!"
"Well, thank you for the offer, but my free time is up! I need to help... uh... Grunkle Ford with some stuff! So if you need me, I'll be with him." Dipper walked through the door and almost smacked into Grunkle Ford, who was standing behind Grunkle Stan. Dipper took a second, but then figured out what was happening. "Wait a second... this is some sort of old wisdom thing, isn't it?"
Grunkle Ford smiled. "Dipper, sit down." Dipper sat down, facing his two Grunkles. "Dipper, it's come to our attention that you are being picked on at school."
"What? Me? No! That was one time!" Dipper sputtered. His grunkles looked at him sternly. Dipper sighed. "Go on."
"Well, we think it's best if you learn some self-defence. And with our... background... we felt that we were suitable teachers." Dipper's eyes widened. He knew what background Grunkle Ford was referring to. Years ago, before they settled in Gravity Falls, Grunkle Ford and Grunkle Stan were criminals. They stole to stay alive. Eventually, Grunkle Ford found his old college buddy, now Professor McGucket, in Gravity Falls. McGucket helped Ford find a job that would help keep both Ford and Stan afloat. The twins retired from their life of crime to stay in Gravity Falls.
"Um... as cool as it is to see Rumble McSkirmish from Fight Fighters punch and kick evil in the face, I don't think I have the skills to do stuff like that."
"Of course you don't," said Grunkle Stan. "Which is exactly why we're teaching you, kid!"
Dipper looked at his grunkles. They weren't going to let this go. And maybe they were right, it could help to have some extra skills. It would stop people like Blendin from picking on him all the time. And what did he have to lose? Dipper nodded. "Okay, when do we start?"
"Oh, kid, it's not that simple. You see, we can teach you to fight, but you need to grow some muscles too. So we're taking you to the gym!"
The man at the front desk was enormous. His dark skin glistened with sweat. His eyes were red and were almost glowing. Dipper looked at him. The man exhaled heavily. Dipper gulped. Stan, apparently oblivious to the titan in front of him, started flicking through some brochures on the desk. Ford rolled his eyes and addressed the giant man. "Excuse me? We're here to sign this boy up for a membership."
The man looked at Dipper and leaned closer towards him. He inhaled. "Hmm. Smells like a boy." He leaned back. "Do you think you have what it takes to be a man, boy?"
"Yes." Dipper's voice cracked. He coughed. "I mean... yes," he repeated, this time forcing his voice slightly lower.
"Very well. I am Leaderaur." The giant man, Leaderaur, wrapped his ridiculously muscular arm around Dipper and dragged him through the main doors. "Welcome... to the MAN CAVE!" Dipper was shocked. Everywhere there were giant men, all of them jacked, punching bags, lifting weights, arm-wrestling, wrestling, running around and snacking on protein bars. Everyone looked almost mythical, less human and more... manly.
Leaderaur leaned down slightly so he was at eye-level with Dipper. "Do you see this? This will be you. Are you ready, boy?" Dipper nodded. "Good, because your induction starts now. CHUTZPAR!" A man, presumably Chutzpar, ran up to Dipper and Leaderaur. He reeked of sweat. "Show this new boy around. I need to talk to these two about the costs." With that, Leaderaur guided Grunkle Stan and Ford away, leaving Chutzpar and Dipper alone.
Dipper followed Chutzpar as he guided him through the gym. Dipper had to admit, he was impressed by the facilities. There was a swimming pool, a weights room, a sauna, a second weights room, a tennis court, a treadmill room, a third weights room, and a bunch of other stuff. "Well, now that I've shown you around, the only thing left to do is to introduce you to the other men. MEN!" A group of huge guys turned around and looked at Dipper. "Let me introduce you to the newest member of the gym."
"He doesn't look manly," Dipper heard someone say.
"You're right," Dipper said, almost without thinking. "I'm not manly. That's why I'm here, so you can help me become manlier!"
Another man scoffed. "Teach you how to become a man? No."
Dipper saw an opportunity. "Oh? You can't teach me? Sounds like you aren't man enough to try! In fact, that sounds kind of chicken."
The man stepped forward. "Not man enough? NOT MAN ENOUGH? I have three Y chromosomes!"
"I... don't think that's possible."
The man breathed out heavily. "Fine. We will teach you how to become a man."
"Wait a second." Another huge man stepped closer to look at Dipper. "What's your name, boy?"
"Dipper. Dipper Pines."
Chutzpar shook his head. "Not here it isn't. You need a manly name. You know I'm Chutzpar, this is Pituitaur, this is Pubetor, this is Testosteraur and this is Beardy. Leaderaur is at the front desk. You've seen him."
"Um... okay. Well then, my name is... Destructor!" The men nodded and grunted in approval. Chutzpar put his hands on Dipper's shoulders. "Well then, Destructor. We will teach you how to become a man."
Alright! So, before I say anything else, I want to thank Lord Demolitions for helping me with some really awesome suggestions which I will be including in the story. So thank you for your help.
