(From this point on, the writing is so much better. ^^)

It was January 11th, 2017 and a little, spiny rodent was sniffing around some rocks when he found himself face to face with a bristling cat.

Okay, okay, that's a little too realistic. Let's take a more fictitious approach.

"Shadow! Where were you this morning?" Honest asked, stomping up to Shadow that day at lunch. The red-striped hedgy had just showed up to school through the door leading to the cafeteria. He hadn't been at school all morning.

"I was, uh," his eyes wandered the room. "On a secret mission."

Honest just closed her eyes. "I would believe that... if I hadn't had seen you earlier!" (play Ace Attorney music)

"What?! I mean... I don't know what you're talking about! I was on a secret mission all day in a place far away from here."

Suddenly Honest's face blanked, the music stopped, and she believed him. "Oh, well then. Where were you then?"

"It's a secret," Shadow said, putting a finger to his lips and leaning forward.

"Hm, I see. Let's go eat chili dogs with So-"

"How about we go outside, sit on the steps, and skip lunch?"

Honest paused before throwing one hand into the air. "That's a great idea! Let's go!" She grabbed Shadow's hand and flew out the door and down the stairs toward the steps in front.

After that little... eh, moment, Honest and Shadow were back to trusting each other for the rest of the day. Unless Shadow tried to hide tuna from Honest. In that case, Honest would be forced not to trust him. The cat and hedgehog duo sat on the steps just like they had planned and rested their heads on the metal handrails.

"Shadow?" Honest asked, her voice muffled by the steel bar.

"Hm?"

"Why won't the week end already?"

Shadow shook his head and rested back on his hands. "I don't know." The day before, Tuesday, Honest had been driven to a level of exhaustion only formerly reached by a scientist sixty years ago that had spent night after night trying to create the Ultimate Lifeform on the Space Colony known as "the Ark".

Just then, an emerald green (ahem, GRASSY green (anyone get the reference?)) hedgehog happened to wander past them.

"Hey, Scourge. Where are you heading?" Honest asked him as he was passing by.

"I'm heading home. I'll be skipping Spanish next period. I never really got it, have you?" he asked.

Honest just shakes her head. She had gotten a D last semester in Spanish. As soon as Scourge received his answer, he sped up and soon disappeared around the corner of the school building.

Honest just shrugged and snuggled up to Shadow as a way to prevent freezing on that cold, winter day.

Man did Honest wish she had went with Scourge. Spanish wasn't all that bad, but Geometry sure was. Honest was literally banging her head on the desk in front of her as she racked her mind for the answer to the problem before her. Eventually she had remembered and wrote it down, just to move on to the next problem which was, well, a problem. For some reason she had forgotten to retrieve a calculator from the wall and now all the calculators had gone missing, leaving her without one. "Oh, dear Chaos," she whispered to herself.

When Honest arrived in photography, her and Shadow fought over the same computer so that they could make their 30 frame animations. Honest's was of a green, alien dude nodding his head and his ears swaying as he did so. Shadow's was of a man taking an arrow out of his quiver, though he did it in a strange way. He reached to his side, then his arm bent strangely so that he could reach up and around his back to grab an arrow. Yeah, he wasn't that good at animating. I mean, Honest wasn't either, but she wasn't having as much trouble with her animation as he was just then.

It was the morning of January 12th, 2017, and Honest's 2nd period entrepreneurship class was being paired up to work together. Shadow and Honest both sat next to each other at the front row of desks, playing versus mode in a flash game together. When they heard they would be paired up, they thought that they would be in charge of choosing who their partner would be. However, that couldn't be farther from the truth. The teacher chose their partners. Shadow was paired up with an insane Shadow fangirl that kind of looked like a yellow, green, and red female version of him. Honest's partner was Scourge.

"Write a list of the disadvantages and advantages of being an entrepreneur," said the teacher.

Honest immediately got to writing. She looked up a second after she had written some things down. "Hey, Scourge? Do you have any ideas for advantages I can put down?"

When she turned around to look at him, she found that the king was asleep in his chair, his head hanging off the back of it. Steam puffed from Honest's head. "Scourge." Honest stared him down, but he didn't wake up."HEY, SLEEPY-HOG!"

Suddenly the green hedgie raised his head. "What did you call me?"

Honest repeated herself. "I called you a sleepy-hog."

"You're right. I am sleepy." He leaned back again.

"No! You're going to write down advantages for me!" She threw the notebook and pencil at him. Honest then crossed her arms and closed her eyes. She didn't hear pencil on paper. When she opened her eyes, she saw that Scourge was steadily thumbing through her notebook. She gasped.

He lifted the notebook up and turned it around so that Honest could see what he was looking at. "Is this Fleetway?"

Honest's eyes grew wide. "Y-You're not supposed to see that!" she leapt and started tugging on the notebook. When she pulled and Scourge pulled back, the page with a large drawing of the glowing, golden hedgehog tore out and Scourge ran with it out of the classroom.

Honest didn't follow. What did he even want to do with that? Her answer then came walking through the door.

Scourge was walking in with an angry Manic stomping in behind him.

A disagreement broke out a few seconds later. It ended in Honest having to beg Manic for forgiveness. Obviously Manic was real upset that Honest was shipping Scourge with anyone other than Manic himself. When Manic left, Honest just let out a sad breath. She really did prefer Fleetourge. :(

Honest and Scourge never did finish their group project.
