It was January 18th, 2017 and Honest and Shadow were standing outside the school after lunch, waiting patiently for the bell to sound. Suddenly Honest saw Jet a distance away from her. He was on foot, walking alone, with none of his annoying friends hanging around him like they usually did. He looked kind of strange walking out there all by himself.

"Oh, Shadow, look," she said dreamily, pointing towards the green bird. "He's so cute!"

Shadow just rolled his eyes. Jet then disappeared into the crowd ahead of her. He emerged a few seconds later toting Wave and the little, yellow and green bird he was sometimes spotted with.

"And yet so... terrible." Shadow turned towards Honest, who was standing on the other side of the pole he was leaning against.

"If he's so terrible, why do you keep acting the way you do and calling him "senpai"?"

"Because," Honest replied, narrowing her eyes at the dark-colored pineapple. "I- I don't know." Honest gave up and let her arms hang by her sides in defeat.

"Exactly. There's no reason. Give it up."

Honest thought of a way to distract him from her failure. "I know why. You're jealous."

Shadow looked flustered. "Pff, no! Why would I want to be a bird-brained, hover-boarding freak obsessed over by a ridiculous, yellow kitty-cat!"

Honest just laughed. "Ha, the Ultimate Lifeform said 'kitty-cat'." She continued to giggle as Shadow's face heated up.

"I don't know why we're still arguing about this." And then, just as he said those last few words, the bell rang, and the crowd of students at the door began to flood into the building. Despite their recent argument, Shadow and Honest still locked hands and walked to their next class.

After school that day, Honest and Shadow were walking to the cafe. They passed Club Rouge on the way there. The lights were off because it was closed, but Honest swore she could see something moving around within the building.

"Do you think it could be Mephiles?" Honest asked Shadow.

He shrugged. "I sure hope not. I don't want to have to mop up his sludge after closing later today."

"You're cleaning? Can I come help you?" Honest asked. Shadow was walking faster now and she had to speed up.

"I'm not sure. You'd have to ask Rouge," Shadow told her, yawning.

"Alright, I'll have to-" She yawned real big and then smiled. "Yawns are contagious."

Honest and Shadow were heading for Spanish class after lunch. On their way there, Honest spotted her senpai walking a short distance away from her. "Look, Shadow! There he is! Witness cuteness in action..."

Shadow wrinkled up his face in disgust when he turned to cough up three feathers. "Yuck."

It was a free day Friday in Spanish that day. It was January 20th, 2017. Honest multi-tasked. She typed up a chapter to her story on one side of the monitor, played Solitaire on the other side, and drew in her notebook at the same time. Shadow read a book quietly beside her.

Honest drew a comic about what had happened in the hallway, and she added that part to her story. She won a game of solitaire in six minutes and sixteen seconds. The clock on her computer said "13:25". It was time to leave.

Now it was January 23rd. After having a 2-day weekend, Honest and Shadow were heading back to school. Honest was uploading a new song cover to her YouTube channel, Rosy Kitteh. It was at 18% when she and Shadow had to leave for school, which was only a short distance down the road.

Half of the school was still a charred ruin of the library Blaze had burnt down weeks ago. (Chapter 17 of {w/Sonic}) It was better than it was, but still very much inaccessible for the students, so Honest and Shadow were forced to hang out in the cafeteria at lunch time among all of the shouting, obnoxious, high school students.

Shadow was absolutely silent. He wasn't eating his food, just sitting there and staring into space. Rosy (the rascal, not the kitteh) was silent as well, which was very strange for her. Rouge was sleeping with her head down, snoring loudly.

"Shadow," Honest whispered, poking him in the arm.

"What do you want?" he exclaimed grumpily.

"Why are you so quiet today?"

"I thought I was always quiet."

Honest frowned and turned away. "You got me there." She then proceeded to pull out her phone and text someone she was role-playing with.

After lunch, they went to Spanish, but not before Honest ran face first into the grassy (ahem, EMERALD) green back of the scourge of her existence himself. "Watch where you're going, cat," he told her before running and disappearing into the Spanish classroom.

Honest just looked on with confusion. "I really, honestly thought that that was going to go somewhere." She then shrugged and walked in after him, taking her seat beside him and Espio. He really wasn't the scourge of her existence. Honest admitted, after spending so much time around him, she had grown to become very fond of him. Not in the sense that she liked him (we saw how protective of him Manic is), but in the sense that she tolerated him enough to make her feel like they were friends.

Anyway, now that we've got that cleared up, let's finally do some school work! And as soon as Honest told herself those very same words, she found herself waiting for a reply to her email yet again. . I promise to you guys, this is ACTUALLY how Honest's days go. So, I'm sorry if you think my stories are repetitive, I'm just telling you exactly what happened. :P

(Yeah, it's true. That's one thing I do not miss about high school.)
