It was January 26th, 2017, and Honest was standing in the lunch line. She was standing behind a brown cat with crazy hair that went everywhere and tickled Honest's nose. Shadow didn't much care for the food that was being served in that line, so he was getting a bacon cheeseburger. Honest saw him walking with his tray towards the table where him and Honest usually sat. Honest heard yelling and noticed that Jet, Storm, and Wave started grabbing things off of Shadow's tray. It was Shadow shouting, but then he was shoved, dropping his tray. He stomped off to his seat, giving up.

Later, when Honest had gotten her tray and sat down, she got up once more and returned with a bacon cheeseburger for Shadow.

"Here you go," Honest said, setting it in front of him and eating her cold, powdery eggs with a fork.

"This... you got this for me?" Shadow asked, astonished.

"Uh, yeah," Honest replied, turning to him. "Don't worry, I can pay for it."

Shadow just nodded and started eating his cheeseburger. Honest smiled and took a bite of her biscuit.

Later, him and Honest were standing in front of the front doors to the school building, waiting for the bell. They were just standing there, waiting silently.

"Project Mirai, Deluxe!"

Honest turned to her right to see Sonic standing there, hunched over... her 3DS! "Hey! What are you doing with my 3DS?"

Sonic looked up. "Oh, hey, Honest! How are you today?" He looked back down at the double screens. "Wow, you finally unlocked all the songs."

"Give it back!" Honest fought with Sonic.

Shadow intervened and together they were soon able to pull the game away from Sonic. Honest put it back in its pocket, hidden behind the green hoodie Honest always kept tied to her backpack. Right now she was wearing her new orangish-pinkish jacket that had grey pencil around her right wrist. She couldn't help but get pencil on her jacket every time she wrote or drew.

The bell then rang and Sonic held the door open for Shadow and- as soon as Shadow had passed through the door, Sonic let the door fall and hit Honest upside the head. "What-? Sonic you idiot, weirdo, hedgehog!" She started kicking the glass. A familiar green sleepyhog opened the door to her right. "Oh my goodness, thank you so much!" Honest ran out the door, pushing Scourge away in the process.

"I wasn't holding it open..." he said after her. Honest didn't hear him. She was too busy sprinting for Spanish, a class she sadly had to share with Sonic.

It was January 27th, 2017 and a clearly distressed hedgehog walked into the school.

"That faker better not mess with me or I swear I'll-"

"You swear you'll what?" He appeared in front of him with a flash of blue.

"... snap." Sonic looked confused for a second. Suddenly Shadow jumped into the air and then, while hovering there, pulled spears of pure energy out of nowhere and started raining them upon the blue speedster.

Sonic jumped from foot-to-foot before taking off down the hallway. Before he could gain any speed, Shadow had stabbed a spear right through the back of his head. "Oh, why am I always getting shot at in the morning?" He ran away, holding his head. Then one stabbed him through the foot, making him fall over. Of course, the spears were made out of energy, so they burst a few seconds after they got stuck in him, becoming tiny clouds of orange sparks.

Shadow dropped to the ground and pulled up his gloves, as they were starting to work themselves off his hands. Sonic tried getting up, but Shadow just waved his hand and sent tiny spears through his hands and feet, pinning him there.

"Oh, no, no, no. I am not starting my day below you; no I'm not!" Sonic exclaimed, kicking.

Shadow rolled his eyes and walked over, bending down beside him to look Sonic in the face. "Okay, faker. Listen up. Honest won't be coming to school until lunch time. Until then, you will do nothing more than look in my direction, you got it?"

Sonic nodded, hitting his forehead on the linoleum floor. "Ow."

Shadow smirked and got up, walking towards the literacy classroom. Sonic looked up. "Aren't you going to-" The spears seemed to dissolve almost until they were nothing but toothpicks. Sonic stood up and brushed them off. "Well, then. See you 3rd period!" He called to Shadow. His dark double just continued walking. Sonic took off in the other direction.

Honest walked into the cafeteria later that day. She found Shadow sitting by himself, eating a corndog. She went to sit beside him, but found that Sonic was lying in the floor behind him with spears in his hands and feet yet again, his face towards the floor. "Uh... what happened here?"

Shadow went on to explain how Sonic didn't know the meaning of "don't touch me", and how he was forced to slowly teach it to him for future reference. Honest carefully stepped around Sonic, but he grabbed onto Honest's foot. "Ah!" she flailed her leg, but her foot stayed. She lost her balance and landed on Sonic's back.

He winced in pain. Shadow just laughed. "That didn't get you anywhere, faker."
