13th day of the Blue Sea Moon, Imperial year 1180
"Alright, is everyone here?" Byleth had spoken up to class, the Blue Lion house. "Don't answer that, we'll figure it out in role call." The dark green-haired professor pulled out a small sheet of paper. "Dimitri?" A tall and slim blonde stood up to the side of his seat. "Present." He then sat down. Byleth spoke up again. "Dedue?" The large, dark-skinned boy spoke up in his deep voice. "Present." He then proceeded to sit back down. Byleth was always slightly shaken by the gentle giant. "Felix?" The amber-eyed boy stood up swiftly. "Here." And immediately slipped back in his chair. One after another, listing the names of Ashe, Sylvain, Mercedes, Annette, and finally Ingrid, the lesson proceeded. Byleth decided to tutor Dimitri on his spear skills, Mercedes on her magic, and (by his demand) Felix's sword skills. Not long after she had announced Sylvain and Ingrid would work in the stables this week, she gathered everyone together not long before dismissal, for an announcement.
"What's this about, professor?" Ashe had inquired, and the whole class seemed to share in his confusion. Byleth responded as such. "I've noted all of your efforts both in the classroom and on the battlefield, so I asked Lady Rhea for a little extra funding this moon, and as of yesterday, it was approved." The Blue Lions were eagerly waiting for Byleth to finish her sentence. "And so, on the 16th, we'll be going to the beach!" The room was lit up with the varying degrees of smiles on the faces of Byleth's class. Of all of them, Sylvain seemed the most excited. Byleth gave one look in his direction and he could see his subtle ecstasy immediately switch to fear. "The church will be providing trunks for the men, and one-pieces for the women." Ingrid elbowed Sylvain in the side. "Hear that?" Ingrid laughed followed by Sylvain, and eventually the rest of the class. Even Byleth stomached a chuckle. "Ashe and Dedue, may I ask you to cover lunches?" Annette's eyes lit up. "Professor, may I help!?" Byleth replied to the small girl. "If it's ok with Ashe and Dedue." Dedue spoke up. "Of course, extra help is always appreciated." Annette's excitement could light up the whole monastery. As everyone discussed various things, the bell had rung. "Alright, dismissed." Byleth had sent off her class, and she herself hopped off her desk where she was sitting and walked off towards her room.
14th day of the Blue Sea Moon, Imperial year 1180
Byleth decided to take a walk around the monastery and check up on her students. The first place she figured to check out was the dining hall to see how the 3 designated lunch makers were doing. And to nobody's surprise, Annette had started a small fire. She heard Ashe speak up. "Uh, Annette?" Annette looked up from her attempts at dousing the flames. "What is it, Ashe?" Ashe looked at the flames and the water that was about to be thrown at it. "You were cutting fruit. How did you manage to start a fire." As Ashe said this, Annette had missed the flames and had just made the wall wet. It was Dedue's turn to speak up. "Do you need help, Annette?" By this point, a small crowd had formed watching Annette's futile attempts at both dousing the flames and to dodge Ashe's question. "N-no, I'm alright Dedue." As she said this, Dedue had already put out the small fire, and Ashe was back to his cooking. Annette, looking dejected, started back on cutting her fruit.
After witnessing the chaos in the kitchen, Byleth had decided she needed a change of pace. She walked outside of the monastery, to a nearby lake where she caught Ingrid in her swimsuit. She decided to speak to her. "Hello, Ingrid." Ingrid gasped before giving a sigh of relief. "Sorry, I thought you were someone else. Hello, Professor." Byleth saw that the blonde was dripping with water. "Getting some swimming practice in?" Byleth inquired. "I've never been the best swimmer, so why not get in some practice." Just as Byleth was about to ask why nobody else could see her, she was already in the water. "I guess I should just head back to my quarters." Byleth said to herself, leaving Ingrid to practice.
About 2 hours later, Byleth was relaxing in her room when she heard a knock on her door. She stood up, and she walked over to see who her guest was. She opened the door to see Mercedes. "Well, if it isn't Mercedes." Byleth widened her door. "Feel free to come in." "Thank you, and good evening, Professor." Byleth looked and saw Mercedes was holding something. "So what's this about, Mercedes?" Mercedes unfolded the article she was holding, revealing her dark blue one-piece swimsuit. "Well, I wanted to see if I looked good in my swimsuit, and I thought It was a good idea to ask you." Byleth chuckled. "Why ever did you think to ask me, and not Annette or Ingrid. Heck, even Sylvain would be Happy to receive the request." Byleth had said "happy" very overdramatically. Mercedes smiled. "Don't even joke about it professor, I just thought you'd be the easiest to ask." Byleth looked away. "Be quick, don't want anyone thinking I'm having my students model for me." Mercedes quickly changed her clothes. "You can look now, professor." Byleth turned around, and she had to admit she looked good in it. Her... 'curves' looked good in it. "You look great, Mercedes." Mercedes smiled. "Thank you, professor." Byleth smiled. "Anytime, Mercedes. Now please get your clothes back on." Mercedes had finished changing and left Byleth's room.
16th day of the Blue Sea Moon, Imperial year 1180
After the mostly uneventful 15th day out of the way, the day of the trip had come. As the Blue Lions walked through the doors, there was no shortage of excitement. Everyone was chatting before Byleth suppressed the chatter. "Alright, everyone. The horses are prepared. Does everyone have their swimsuits?" Everyone nodded yes. "Food?" Annette, Dedue, and Ashe all gave a thumbs up and held up baskets. "Everyone has everything they need in terms of recreational items?" Once again a collective nod. "Alright, then let's go!" Byleth tried not to show it, but she was as excited as the rest of her class.
After a mostly uneventful, hour-long ride, they had arrived at the ocean beach. "Alright, let's get the swimsuits ready!" Sylvain had (obviously) struggled to hold in his excitement. All of the girls, Byleth included, had stared daggers into him, immediately shut him up. "Everyone, please find a place to change. I'll stay with Sylvain to keep him from peeking." Byleth had told them, as everyone went off to find trees and such as cover. "I'm sorry it has to be like this Sylvain." Sylvain looked downtrodden.
The first who finished changing was Ashe. "Ah, good. Ashe, would you mind keeping an eye on Sylvain? I need to change as well." Byleth hadn't given the boy a choice as she was already off before Ashe could give an answer. "So-" Sylvain was just about to start when. "And you aren't allowed to leave until I'm back Sylvain." He shut up again. After Ashe came Felix. "Still in the doghouse I see." both Felix and Ashe, as stated, had already changed into their dark blue swim trunks, the same color as the girls'. "Yep." Sylvain had told him. That's what you get for being a perv." Ashe said slyly. "What!? Like you didn't think of it even once." Sylvain spat back. "I was more occupied with cooking." Sylvain started mumbling to himself. Felix spoke up. "I have to admit I had my share of fantasies." "Felix! You're the man!" Sylvain was basically on top of him. "Personal space, please." Sylvain stepped back. "What did we miss?" Dimitri's strong, leaderlike voice cut into the crowd. "It appears Sylvain was attacking Felix." Dedue had told Dimitri. "No no no no! Nothing like that." Sylvain was immediately a pretty large distance from Felix. "He was just thanking me for-" Felix was cut off by a soft, feminine voice. It was Mercedes, followed by Annette and Ingrid, the ladder of which had spoken up. "I'll bet Sylvain was being a perv while we were gone?" Just as Sylvain was about to defend himself, Ashe cut in. "Correct." Sylvain had put his hands on Sylvain's shoulders. "What the heck was that, Ashe!" Amidst his attack or Ashe, another familiar female voice, which was that of the Blue Lion's professor. Yet, to everyone's surprise, Byleth's swimsuit was in fact not the same dark blue one-piece that the girls were wearing. It was a black bikini. (The one in Fe Heroes, feel free to look it up.) As she expected, the boys stared and the girls admired. "Alright, Sylvain. You can go to change now." Byleth had said completely normally, as if she was totally oblivious to what she was wearing. "Y-yes professor." Sylvain hurried off, beet red. "Did you all expect me to be wearing the same swimsuit as all of you?" Dedue spoke up. "T-that was the assumption, yes." All of the guys had the same thought. It even brought Dedue to a stutter. "Those are for students. Professors can wear what they wish." As the guys all chattered amongst themselves, the girls were all over her. "You're skin is so smooth." Annette had commented. "And your curves are what dreams are made of." Mercedes added. "The black compliments your hair nicely." Indrid had commented. "Now, now. You three look great as well." Byleth had complimented her students. "Yoo-hoo! I'm back!" Sylvain had returned, and with that, the whole class was present and ready. "Well, shall we go?" Dimitri had spoken up, already carrying a basket of food. "Ah, right." Ashe had picked up the second basket. Dedue followed, grabbing the third. "Now, let's get going!"
After leading her class down the short walk to the beach, Dimitri was the first to have his foot touch down on the sand. "Here we are!" Dimitri was uncharacteristically excited. "Well, you seem ready, Dimitri." Ingrid had addressed him. "Of course, I haven't been to the beach since I was a child." The class found a place to lay down a sheet and put everything down. Oddly enough, they were the only ones there. "Alright, time to swim!" Ashe was already charging headlong to the crashing waves. "Hey, Ashe! Wait up!" Sylvain bolted after him and Annette had followed. Mercedes started turning towards Byleth. "So, profe-" Mercedes had been taken aback when she way Byleth was already belly up on the sheet, soaking in the sun. Dimitri had begun to walk to the water, taking in the sand beneath his feet in every step, with Dedue following behind. That left Felix, Ingrid, and Mercedes with nothing to do. Although, Felix (to nobody's surprise) had brought a wooden training sword. He immediately started training. "Felix?" Felix didn't even bat an eye at Ingrid's question. "Hey, today's supposed to be for recreation and relaxation." Felix had replied while still swinging. "Training makes me relaxed." Ingrid and Mercedes just sighed. "He's hopeless." Mercedes seemed concerned for Felix. "Just leave him be, Let's join the rest down by the water." With that, Ingrid and Mercedes had started towards the water.
Down by the water, Ashe having a race with Ingrid, who had challenged him. As the rest were watching them, there was a mix of cheers for Ingrid and Ashe. The pair were neck and neck when suddenly, Ingrid picked up speed, and Ashe seemed flustered. "I've got my money on Ashe." Sylvain spoke up. "No way, Ingrid obviously has the upper hand." Annette had chimed in. Now it was Dedue's turn. "It's not like Ashe to enter a race without a trump card." And with that, Ashe suddenly dived beneath the water. Ingrid seemed shocked. Ashe suddenly popped up on the opposite side of Ingrid. "Wait, no fai-" Ingrid tried to say before Ashe shot forward. Ingrid collected herself and continued her path. At this point, Byleth had made her way to the water. She had seen Ingrid keeping up with Ashe (even though she was a little behind) and was impressed. "I'm beginning to have doubts that Ingrid really wasn't a strong swimmer." She had walked down to where everyone else was watching the race, just when Ashe had barely reached the goal first. The difference was less than 5 seconds. Everyone cheered, as it was no doubt an impressive feat from both participants. Ingrid seemed dejected, and so Byleth went to talk to her. "You were great, Ingrid. Your training really paid off." Ingrid looked surprised, before smiling. "Well, I guess it did. I don't think I'd make it to the end of the course." Both laughed. "Hey, Ingrid!" Sylvain called. "You were awesome, I've never had more fun in a race!" Ashe spoke up. "Yeah, it was... fun." Ingrid spoke.
The rest of the day went by without a hitch. Felix eventually came to relax with the rest of the class, and Byleth left with a minor tan. Sylvain had been elbowed approximately 14 times, Ingrid and Ashe stayed in the water for most of the time they were there, with Annette there as moral support. Mercedes spent her time looking for seashells, and she had gotten herself a nice collection. Dimitri had spent his time admiring the sand, and was reluctant to leave, with Dedue following closely as always. Overall, the class ended up having a great time.
That's the story. This is just a one-shot, so don't expect more from this. I no joke had the idea from a photo of Byleth in her FE Heroes swimsuit and figured "why not, I've got an afternoon to kill." And here we are. Thanks for reading, Hope you enjoyed, feel free to leave a review. Laters 3
