It was February 28th on a Tuesday. Shadow woke up with a drooling cat like every other morning. He had kicked her out of his room six times that night, but she kept wandering back in there. Eventually he had given up. He had to. And then Honest woke up at five, claiming that she had to talk to a friend on Skype (or Hype b/c of ... reasons). He let her go and went to go make breakfast.
A giant skillet of scrambled eggs sat waiting for the blonde cat girl when she had finished her call and arrived in the kitchen around six thirty. She sat there by herself and ate while Shadow went to go wake the heavy-sleeping blue pineapple.
"G-Good morning?" Shadow whispered through the crack in the weirdo's door.
He saw Sonic laying down on his bed and facing the wall. "I-It's time to wake up," he stuttered, walking into the room. The shadow of a weirdo wasn't sure why he was so frightened. After all, he was just a blue pineapple with legs. Okay, that was kind of creepy when he thought about it. Maybe not the best comparison. Alright, so he was just a cute, little, harmless, defenseless, baby hedgehog. That happened to be blue. And have super speed.
Shadow still didn't receive an answer. Maybe he wasn't speaking loudly enough. "HEY! FAKER!"
Sonic rolled over and looked at him with sleepy eyes. He then jumped up. Shadow looked back and forth as flashes of blue light flew around him. Suddenly the faker stopped in front of him. "What a pleasant surprise. You've come to see me in the morning like Honest does to you, haven't you?"
Shadow's face went stiff. He began backing up to where he had come from. Sonic just crept slowly forward. Shadow felt for the doorknob and turned it. It didn't budge. It was locked. Oh, so that was what he had done when he had zipped to-and-fro around the room.
Sonic kept coming forward, though there was no room for Shadow to back up anymore. Sonic put his hands against the door. Shadow slipped under his right arm and sprinted towards the window. He went to pull it up, but those were locked, too. Shadow's hands went up to search for the lock. He hadn't anytime to do much else as, as soon as he had reached up towards the sliding lock, Sonic was behind him.
"You have nowhere to run. I finally have you," he said, sounding more like the villain than the hero.
Shadow jumped, crashing through the window with a homing attack. "Ah?!" Sonic put his hands on either side of his head. He hadn't expected that. Sonic went to do a homing attack as well, but he just fell back down to the ground. He had just woken up after all, so he became a bit dizzy when he spun so fast. Shadow was able to run around to the front door.
"Let me in!" Shadow shouted, pounding on the door.
Honest answered it. "Uh... how did you get out here?"
"I had to get away from Sonic. Now let me in!"
Honest stepped out of the way to have Shadow tumble inside the house, face first, coming in contact with the tile floor. She pouted her lips sadly. Honest had no clue what kind of horrors Shadow had to face every day. They both ate scrambled eggs. Sonic didn't come down from his room until it was past time for them to leave, but luckily they weren't late to school.
Sixth period, the internet went in and out. Honest could barely have internet long enough to work on her fan fiction, but she was somehow successful in doing so, writing about her morning.
Honest hadn't seen her senpai all day, but then he had blushed and walked past her in front of the classroom. That had made her heart skip a beat, and she had been smiling when she walked into the Spanish classroom, took off her orange jacket, and sat down at her computer.
Scourge was having so many internet and computer problems that he shut the lid and refused to do his work. Honest didn't blame him; it was driving her nuts, too.
Now it was March 1st. It had been almost a whole year since that chapter where Honest got sung to and congratulated and things last year on her birthday. She wondered what would happen this time around. Maybe she would make a promise to think more about other people than just herself. Last year she had been kind of... self-absorbed... and she felt bad about it a year later. So, this year she promised, to herself more than anyone, that she would direct most of the attention to others. Some little part within Honest told her that it was only right for her to have one day of the year focused on her, but then again every story in this large book of her life is focused on her as the main character (I'm talking more about myself than Honest I guess).
... Let's move on.
It was 11:36 am and Honest was sitting in Biology. The class was supposed to be doing a virtual lab about some DNA blahblah, but Honest was working on her fan fiction instead. She was feeling inspired, but the teacher was oblivious to her need to draw, thinking it was only her way of getting out of work.
Sigh.
Silver was sitting beside her. He had trouble trying to get to the website, so Honest helped him. Then he was quiet for a while. A few minutes later, he tapped on Honest's shoulder.
"Hey, hey, Honest," he said, trying to get her attention.
Honest looked over at his computer screen. "The internet broke," he said.
Indeed, it did look like the whole of the internet had broke. Ads were scattered everywhere, two videos were playing on the page, the flash game was varying shades of green and red, and the address bar said "error 000033400856000fc349".
Honest rubbed her eyes and then looked again. It was still there. "Uh... teacher?"
The teacher walked to their table and picked up the small laptop before exclaiming hoarsely, "What did you do?"
Silver's cheeks flushed white. "I didn't do anything! It was Honest!"
"No, it wasn't me. I think it was a ghost," Honest said. She was still scarred for life after seeing the chaos unfolding on Silver's screen.
"Here, let me see if I can fix it," came a voice. Scourge took the laptop from the teacher and pressed some buttons. He then showed the computer to Honest.
"Well, I didn't fix the error, but I did hack into seventeen assorted online businesses and the Westopolis Criminal Database," Honest's eyes went wide. "Hey, look. There's me." He pointed to a green hedgehog in orange prison clothes, giving the camera an "L" and a big, toothy grin.
Let's just say Scourge went back to that prison, and Silver got a new laptop from the school.
AAAAAAA This chapter is gold. XD I love it. And I had Scourge sent away to prison for a while. I say 'for a while' because he always breaks out eventually. Well, I don't have to deal with the rotten, green pineapple for a while. I wonder what Manic will do? :3 Please vote for this chapter by clicking the star if you liked it as well! Add this to your library and reading lists, and I'll be starting a new story soon. Stay tuned, I guess.
(I think I was talking about {Limited Edition}. I won't bother uploading that story to this site since it's so short and pointless.)
