It was a blistering hot afternoon on April 13th, 2017, and Honest was standing in the direct sunlight, on the lookout for her favorite, greedy-green bird. She hadn't seen him all week. He could just be in in-school suspension (ISS for short), but for some reason Honest felt like it was something else. After all, Honest believed that Jet was a good person at heart, though everyone else was sure he wasn't.
Honest was scared that maybe her senpai had gotten terribly ill or had, like, committed suicide or something. What if he had? She had a flashback to the morning she had discovered that one of her dearest friends had died. That was traumatizing for her. One moment they were sitting in Algebra, talking and laughing, and the next moment she and the rest of the students at the school were saying nice words for him outside, around the flag of Mobius. If that happened to her senpai... she didn't want to think about it. That was why she would wait patiently for him. Maybe he was in ISS and would return to school the next week. School was out the next day for Good Friday, the Friday before Easter Sunday, so Honest would have three days to worry about his well being. Great.
Great, Great, G-g-great...
Suddenly Silver appeared beside her, scaring Honest half to death. "G-G-Great!" He said enthusiastically. Honest leaped over the railing and onto an outdoor trashcan, gripping the lid with her gloved hands.
Shadow walked up behind Honest. "Are you... okay?"
"No! Of course not!" Honest said, not turning around. She pointed up at Silver, who was still standing up on the platform where Honest used to be standing. "Silver 'great'ed at me!"
Shadow laughed. No one really ever saw him laugh except when Honest did something funny, and that was all the time. "Silver 'great'ed at you?" Honest turned around in time to see Shadow "XD".
"Yeah," Honest said, beaming.
Silver finally said something other than "great". "Sorry, Honest. I couldn't help it."
"How did you read my thoughts, though?" Honest asked.
"I didn't." Silver turned his head sideways and blinked at her.
The three were silent for a while. "Uh-"
Shadow lifted his arms up, offering to help Honest down. "Oh, right. Thanks." Shadow set her down on the concrete.
Silver wandered off as Honest and Shadow walked towards the front of the school where they usually stood until sixth period.
Sixth period, Honest played a bubble popping game as Espio played a silly ninja game and Scourge watched comedians and laughed. Honest also worked on her fan fiction.
"How come we don't have these where I come from?" Scourge asked, laughing hysterically.
Seventh period, Honest and the rest of the students could do whatever they wanted since the teacher had nothing planned for them to do. Honest worked on her fan fiction while listening to herself sing. She was listening to the 2017 playlist of song covers because her older ones were really crap compared to her newer songs. In fact, some of her older songs hurt her ears quite literally because she didn't use Audacity to edit the audio back then. (Oh yeah, her YouTube is Rosy Kitteh like you care :P) The classroom was really loud, so she had to turn her computer up real loud to be able to hear, which caused further ear pain. :(
Eighth period, Honest ran around, trying to do the work she had missed yesterday because her and Shadow had a dentist appointment which caused them to miss school. She had already taken all her photos, so all she had to do was edit them in Photoshop, print them, and turn them into the teacher. Although that might sound simple enough, the amount of other students swarming the room as she ran back and forth to the printer, plus the fact that all nine photos were due that period, made this almost impossible. But, Honest raced the bell and got all of her pages of photos turned in by the end of the period.
Afterwards, Honest and Shadow walked to the cafe. Tomorrow was Good Friday, so they wouldn't be going to school or work that day. After work, at eight-thirty, Honest and Shadow sat in the living room and discussing what they would do tomorrow.
"I say we should have a Sonic Boom season 1 and 2 marathon!" Honest exclaimed after being asked what she thought. Shadow thought for a moment.
"Or we could... I don't know..." Shadow thought again. "How about we go see how the Doctor is doing?"
Honest was excited and enthusiastic before, but now she was narrowing her eyes at the dark hedgie. "Doctor Eggman?"
"Y-yeah. I mean, we haven't seen him since before he was in Sonic Boom. Don't you want to visit his island fortress?"
Suddenly Honest was excited again. "Ooh! Can we go on a guided tour? I hear he has them on Fridays!"
Shadow smirked. "I'm sure he does. We don't have to spend the whole day if you don't want to."
"Well, I do have a very important song cover to work on. It's called the Ultimate Medley."
Shadow tilted his head curiously. "Did you say 'Ultimate'?"
Honest's eyes widened. "Uh, maybe?"
"Okay, you can work on that tomorrow morning just as long as you promise to put my name in the description of the video. Deal?" Shadow promised, asking for a favor of his own.
"S-Sure," Honest agreed, a sweat drop visible on her forehead.
They shook hands and Honest turned on the Playstation 3. "We can watch Sonic Boom until bed time, right?"
What did I just agree to? *facepalm* I mean, what did Honest agree to... right? Anyway, thanks for reading this short, but important chapter. Looks like I have Sonic Boom to watch, then tomorrow morning I need to work on my song cover. :) See you!
(I think I did put Shadow's name in the description, let me go check...
Yes, I did. ^^ But the video's private now due to the cover being terrible. :P)
