Oh no.

Mephiles had just settled into the seat next to her in study hall 6th period. Silver was home sick that day. That must've been why he was sitting with her.

Honest jumped when she noticed dark, purple smoke encircling her.

Neither Sonic nor Shadow had class with her this period. What was she going to do?! Suddenly a tentacle of black smoke pulled her arm. Honest's eyes flew wide open and she was turned around to see-

Mephiles had a sheet of algebra homework in front of him and a pencil in his hand. "Do you mind helping me with number 17?"

Honest was still frozen in fear, but she nodded anyway. She really didn't feel like finding out what punishment she would receive by saying "no" to him.

While Honest helped the embodiment of darkness with his homework, Silver was at home, combating the common cold. Both were equally boring and sickening. One was filled with numbers and equal signs while one was filled with tissues and chicken soup. Luckily, Silver wasn't dying of starvation. Unluckily, Honest was.

Before study hall was when Honest ate lunch. They had a sandwich which they called a "croissant club". Honest got a pickle to drown out the gooey bread which the contents of the sandwich was wrapped in. She sat down at the table and immediately realised that all of its residents didn't have trays, including Shadow. It wasn't that they were just not hungry, but that they had actually already finished their lunches.

Rouge turned to Rosy. "You do know we're waiting on you. No rush, though."

"Oh, I hadn't realised." She stood to go put her tray up. Everyone else stood up as well.

"Hey!" Honest exclaimed, washing a bite of her likely-molded sandwich down with hardly-sweetened tea. She tried standing up with her tray, but her napkin fell onto the seat beside her.

Everyone began to leave the table without her. She hadn't the chance to eat much of anything. She had just sat down! Despite this, Honest picked up her napkin, threw her unopened bag of air-flavored, whole-grain chips on her tray, and sprinted after them, careful not to drop anything.

When they got outside, Amy came running up to her. "There's something terribly wrong with Scourge. He made me listen to a song called 'Hide n Seek'. It was a weird song where it went 'ding dong' and 'knock knock' and stuff!"

Honest thought it was funny how thrown off she was about the song. In fact, Honest was planning to sing a duet with a friend online of that song. The friend and her had sung only one other song together in the past. It had been pretty fun, and now that song was one of her favorites. The same thing was happening with this "weird" song. It wasn't weird to her. And the onomatopoeias set the creepy tone of the song awfully well. Honest was surprised Scourge knew of it.

Eventually it began to rain on them, and everybody crowded around the front doors. It was almost time to go inside anyway, so Honest and the rest of the students at the school stood out in the rain for a few seconds before heading inside. Once inside, well, you know what happened after that.

"Knock, knock. I am at your door now. I am coming in! No need for me to ask permission..." Honest found herself whispering what words she could remember from the song as she traveled down the hallway to retrieve her binder from her locker. It was the first English song she had ever planned to sing online.

My brother told me not to stray too much from Sonic and talk about Vocaloid songs and music, so I'm going to try to not do that. (Though I really want to...)

It was now August 31st, and Honest was sitting in English with nothing to do. She had already finished her myth that she was writing in class yesterday. Honest tried to type a new part to her fan fiction, but she had nothing to write about. Yesterday was pretty boring, now that she thought of it. She and Shadow delved into the deep, dark recesses of the pantry to find a box of "broccoli cheddar casserole" to eat yesterday for dinner. Surprisingly, it was pretty good! Except, well, they ate the whole box and then realised how terrible they felt only afterwards. Shadow wasted his whole evening playing Sonic Rush while Honest wasted over an hour fighting with Sonic over their $800 iHog tablet. When that was all said and done, it was bedtime, and they had school the next morning. Honest tried to record a song, but kept failing over and over and over...

Honest realised she had fallen asleep. Her biggest fear was that the teacher would see what she was typing and think she was a "writer", since this was English class. And well, she was, but.. she also was an artist and a musician. She already had the art teacher breathing down her neck. She didn't need another. What if the band teacher found out about her 150+ song covers? That would be a nightmare. Honest yawned.

She had a good thirty minutes left, and, like she said, Honest didn't have anything important to write about, so she decided to give in and fall asleep...

It had been raining all morning. It was raining at 4 am when Honest woke up to make coffee. It was raining at 5:30 when Honest heated herself up some waffles for breakfast. It was raining when she got to school at 7:48, so she had to put on her grey and white jacket she had worn in 8th grade and put on the hood while she ran to the front door of the building. It was raining second period when Honest helped close the windows in the English classroom. Now, Honest was sitting in fourth period, Spanish II, and the rain was still pounding on the window across the room.

(Really? I wore that jacket in eighth grade? But I only just recently got rid of it since it was filled with holes. Wow. I didn't know that. Apparently Past I did. [That's a weird sentence. o.O)

Honest came out of her third period class, Environmental Science, with a computer, a sheet of homework, a binder, and a heavy science textbook. As she struggled to put on her backpack with all of these things in her arms, Manic went to get his bag. Manic was talking about how his backpack was filled with stuff and he didn't have enough room, so he would go to his locker, but no one was around. Honest assumed he was talking to her, and sure enough he was. He looked up at her at the last second before running down the hallway. It was strange for Manic to talk to her, but whatever.

Honest sprinted to her locker as fast as she could and shoved everything in there, even her homework. She usually forgot homework when she put it in her locker, but she put it next to her Algebra binder. Hopefully it would remind her to take it home since Algebra was her last class before she went home.

Honest started walking down the hallway to her fourth period class in the computer room near the end of the hall and the stairs. It was time for her to find the computer room! Honest passed Vanilla on her way. "Hey, Honest!"

Honest replied with a hello. A few steps later.. "Hey, Honest!" It was Doctor Eggman. He was copying Vanilla.

"Hello!" She replied in the same way she had replied to Cream's mom. Honest didn't know why, but for some reason it was sinister the way he said it. Honest tried to forget that even happened and pretend that she was unaffected, but it creeped her out nonetheless.

Honest did the one assignment she had yet to do and was done for the week. It was an assignment where she had to take a picture of something written in Spanish and predict what it says by using context clues. Honest looked at the headphones hanging on the wall. All the words on them were either English or Chinese. She looked at the mouse pad. It was all in English. She looked at the tag on her jacket. English and Chinese. She decided just to use an image off of the internet of a smiling doctor and some words in Spanish off beside him and say it was a billboard she had seen on the side of the road. It still worked, right?

Now that she had nothing to do, she might as well write about her rainy and sinister morning. Honest actually liked the rain. It was peaceful and somewhat inspiring to her. The only bad thing about it was that she had Oral Communication seventh period, and if it was still raining, she would have to run through rain and get soaked to get to the other building. She had Oral Comm, as she called it for short, in the band room. The whole time she was there, she found her eyes wandering to the numerous musical posters around the room. Honest was attempting to teach herself musical notation and terminology, but she couldn't help but wish she could take a music class instead. She had only just recently got into music, so now was probably the worst time to decide to start taking classes relating to it. Honest would have to tough it out.

Speaking of toughing it out, Honest heard that for lunch the students would be having bacon cheeseburgers, or what she called road burgers because they tasted like asphalt. She planned to just eat the flattened circle of bacon on it.

In second period English, Honest had to write about a new sandwich she would invent. She wanted four different kinds of ocean fish and crab meat, three different cheeses, and toasted bread. Why did their prompt have to be about food? Honest hadn't had a square meal in ages. When her science teacher was complaining about having to eat a bag of what she called "protein bites" yesterday, Honest's mouth was watering. Even that sounded tasty to Honest. And when she drank a cup of coffee, Honest almost lost it. She hadn't had creamer in her coffee since that time she had to go with Shadow to the doctor to get glass out of his leg from a race with Sonic. That was ages ago.

(Did I... write that? I faintly remember writing that, I think.)

Oh, my goodness. Honest had to put up her computer as soon as the bell rang for lunch. When she finally made it to the lunchroom, after being drenched with rain, they ran out of bacon cheeseburgers! She was put in the other line, which had "beefy nachos". She took a spoon and solemnly scooped up tiny bits of cheese to eat. Shadow noticed her and chuckled. "I'm guessing you're not hungry?"

"No," Honest said, intently licking the tip of her spoon. "I am hungry."

"Then why aren't you eating your food?" When Honest didn't reply, he continued. "You shouldn't be so picky."

"Picky?!" Shadow jumped. "I'm not picky! I'm just looking out for my well-being!"

Shadow thought she was just being obstinate, so he didn't say anything.

"I have had two friends go to the hospital for stomach-related problems after eating the school's food! I am not having the same happen to me," Honest exclaimed.

"Uh-huh," Shadow said slowly.

"Mmhm!" Honest said in response. "The only reason I'm eating the cheese is because it has the distinct flavor that the macaroni cheese-flavoring has." Honest picked up her roll covered in icing, it leaving a puddle where it used to be. Honest tasted it with her finger. "I can taste powdered sugar. It must be safe."

Shadow was now looking on with curiosity. "You sound like a detective." He clapped.

Rosy was sitting across from Honest. She began clapping also. Then Amy. Then Rouge. Honest took a bow. Sonic was watching from across the lunchroom. "What's going on?"

Vector was sitting beside him. "I think we should consider hiring Honest. She's better than me." Espio nodded. He was sitting across from them, sharpening a throwing star.

"Hm," Sonic said. He continued to watch them like a creeper, which he most certainly is.

This is the most depressing chapter yet. It's depressing to me, but probably funny to you, you insensitive readers. . Anyway, please leave a (review). I'm putting a date so I can keep track of when this was finished.
