A particular, white hedgehog walked into the room and set a large suitcase on the counter. He pulled out some goggles. He put them on and realised they didn't fit.
He then took off the goggles and put them back into the suitcase. He then pulled out a pair of surgical gloves, but put them back in because he already was wearing gloves. He sighed and pulled out a butter knife before closing his suitcase and sliding it under a cabinet.
"Uh, what is he doing here?" Shadow asked. He was leaning against the far wall of the kitchen, observing him from a distance. Honest walked up to him excitedly.
"I decided to call in an expert! He says he has the solution to our food shortage!" she informed him, clasping her hands together. Silver motioned for them to come over.
"Okay! I'm going to need a jar of peanut butter and a bag of tortillas!" Shadow and Honest went to find these strange items. They were the only foods they had.
Silver took the tortillas and opened the bag, tugging one free and setting it on a paper plate.
"You can't be more simple than a paper plate," Honest said, peering over his shoulder.
"Well, you know what they say: Heaven is a paper plate," Shadow replied.
Silver then opened the jar of peanut butter and stuck his knife into it, drawing out a large glob. He began spreading it onto the surface of the tortilla. When he exhausted this glob, he went back into the jar, pulling out more. Eventually the tortilla had an even coating of the creamy substance. He proceeded to roll it up neatly into the shape of a quesadilla.
The only accurate way to describe him was as a master at work. The way he prepared the dish with such expertise made Shadow and Honest gape with awe. Eventually he had the tortilla rolled and placed in the microwave. He pressed a button that would permit the dish be heated for exactly thirty seconds. It beeped in just that amount of time later, and he retrieved it from the microwave oven, setting it back onto the counter top where it had been prepared. He took a knife from their silverware drawer.
"How did he know where-?" Shadow asked Honest quietly. Honest shrugged.
Silver then used the knife to cut the tortilla down the middle. When he pulled the two halves apart, the peanut butter on the inside was turned to liquid and leaked onto the plate. It looked so delicious to Honest that she began to drool.
"Taste it. See if you like it," Silver told them. Honest took one half while Shadow took the other.
"Ish piddy goo," Honest said.
"I- I- goooo?" Shadow tried to say.
"Remember how I made it. This will be your meals until you can get enough money for food for yourselves." Silver walked past them, pulled his suitcase out from underneath the cabinet, and pushed out the door to the garage.
Honest and Shadow watched him leave. "You can eat this. I'll have my coffee and granola bars for a while." He turned and disappeared around a corner. Akane walked in front of Honest with a dead mouse.
"Eww!" Honest bolted. Akane watched her leave and turned into her Sonic form. She stood up, the mouse still in her mouth.
"What's wrong with her? She's a cat, too." Akane shrugged and took the mouse to Shadow's room to hide it in his window to fester in the sun.
It was September 12th, 2017, and Honest drew a giant, uber-realistic drawing of a race car turning and creating smoke with it's tires spinning against the pavement. Over the course of a week and a half of class time, Honest planned to turn it into an extremely professional painting and have it turned in for an instant A+ and maybe a medal. See what could happen when you had confidence in yourself? Now, watch Honest's plan crash and burn as soon as she applies the first few strokes of paint.
When Honest got to the lunchroom, she was able to actually eat her food this time without everyone else getting up and leaving without her. Honest and Shadow were staying in the cafeteria, waiting for it to quit raining before they left.
"So, how much progress have you made on your cover of World is Mine with Hiko?"
"Shadowww," Honest complained. "We're not supposed to be talking about Vocaloid. This is a Sonic story."
"Hmph." Shadow crossed his arms. "I like your song covers, though."
Honest smiled. "It's good to know that somebody cares about what I'm doing." Shadow attempted to smile back, but only the very far corners of his mouth turned up. "But we're not allowed to talk about that sort of stuff in a fan fiction."
"Whatever you say," Shadow replied, frowning again and looking towards the door. "I think it's stopped. We should leave."
Before Honest had a chance to reply, Shadow stood up and held out a hand to her. "Alright," she said, standing up with his help. She swung her backpack over her back. "Ikuzo." Shadow laughed a little at that half-reference to one of his Japanese lines in Sonic Adventure 2. They walked towards the door. Rosy, Dina (the newest fan character created by the Author), and Rouge watched them leave. I couldn't tell you what they were thinking. Honest and Shadow didn't notice the looks they were being given and simply walked outside and towards the front of the school.
Once there, Honest noticed that Manic was standing eerily in the middle of the stairs. For some reason, Honest felt like he was staring at her. What did he want?
"Honest."
"Ch-Wa?" Shadow had put a gloved hand on her shoulder. "Oh! Shadow, what is it?"
"Are you okay? I feel like there's something wrong, but I can't tell if it's because you're hungry or cold, or because I did something.."
"Of course it's not you! XD L-Let's go stand near the doors so that if the bell rings we can-" BRRINGG! The bell rang. "Come on!" Honest grabbed Shadow's wrist and sprinted through a crowd of people and into the building. Shadow went to one study hall room while Honest went to the other. This was the saddest part of her day. ;(
Uh.. anyway! Honest spent the whole period of study hall drawing pictures of A CERTAIN, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PROJECT OF HERS THAT CAN'T BE NAMED BECAUSE OF AN ANNOYING, LITTLE, DEMANDING BROTHER THAT REALLY SHOULD MAKE A FAN CHARACTER SO I CAN APPROPRIATELY PORTRAY HIM. (Sorry. Just needed to get that out.)
Seventh period, she was supposed to be typing a speech, but she had been done with the speech for almost a week now. Instead, she worked on her fan fiction. On the way to eighth period, she stopped by Vanilla's classroom to borrow her printer and print out her speech. Honest hadn't even began working on her homework, which was a study guide. It wasn't for a grade. It was just supposed to help her on a test. They went over like 5 questions, so that's all Honest had done of her study guide. Oops. Not like she would study anyway. She hadn't studied a day in her life.
I'm ending the chapter here because I want to start the next chapter with the results of her not studying, and this is only the day after that I'm finishing typing this. Please leave a review! I wonder what day this is that I'm publishing this. Today is the 13th of September, 2017.
(I published this on the 26th O.O)
