Hello everyone! Wow, the response was amazing! Thank you all so much, and I promise to try my best to meet your expectations!
On with the show!
"Q? What kind of name is that?!" Izuki cried. O Ball laughed in amusement. "Jackpot! Everyone asks that question first. Why would you ever call your entire civilization by a single letter? There has got to be a better way of expressing yourself!"
Izuki looked at her. Of course, she only looked at an empty space next to her, not the actual being, who chose to remain invisible. "Do you know why?"
O Ball chuckled mysteriously. "Maayybe~"
"You're so unhelpful."
"Yep~!" shouted O Ball gleefully, as Inko and the Q being stood up, and left the bar arm in arm.
Arm in arm?!
Izuki suddenly found herself unable to breathe, as the realization of why she had been brought here dawned on her. O Ball had said to her that she would know the truth about who she, Midoriya Izuki, was. And now that she did, Izuki gasped, attempting to take in deep breaths but failing. Hisashi Midoriya was not my father...there never was a Hisashi Midoriya..my father was someone else..my Mom lied to me my whole life...
"Told you, you'd feel like Hell." said O Ball, quietly, watching Izuki for a while, offering no sympathy. The girl needed to get the shock out of the system herself. O Ball could easily lighten it..but chose not to.
"My god.." Izuki choked.
"Indeed. Anyway, you don't have to see this next part."
Izuki, hearing these words, was about to protest, but darkness engulfed her, preventing her from seeing anything.
"Stop! Let me see!" cried Izuki, frantically clawing around.
"Noope!" refused O Ball. "Strictly eighteen plus only!"
"What the hell do yo-" Izuki began, but stopped, as a tiny rift was opened, probably by O Ball, letting her see into a dark room. The noises coming from it didn't leave much to the imagination, of course. Again, she found herself unable to breathe. O Ball merely snickered, closing the crack. "I told you. Not something you'd want to see."
"Wh-why? why bring me here? Why show me all this?"
O Ball sighed. "So you know who you are, Izuki. You are no mere human. Not even a quirked human! Oh no. You, sweetie, are a hybrid Q!"
Izuki stared unblinking at O Ball. "A-a-and what does that mean?" she asked in a trembling voice, completely disregarding the fact that O Ball had called her by first name.
"It means, my dear Izuki, that you have the powers of a Q! Well,...most, anyway. You are half human, and half Q. So you'd have only some powers!"
Half human...half Q....Izuki's mind quailed at the implications. Half of her wasn't even of Earth! If anyone ever learned of who she was...Izuki suddenly found herself imagining being strapped to a bed, and having needles poked into her skin by manically grinning scientists.
O Ball laughed hysterically. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...Oh fuck me..HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ok, ok, you needn't worry about all that, darling..holy shit, I haven't laughed like that in forever! Literally!" gushed the entity. "Anyway.." she stopped laughing and spoke normally again. "You don't have to worry about getting caught. You may only have some powers of the Q Continuum, but just that fraction of power puts you on a whole other level compared to the current heroes!"
Izuki simply nodded dumbly.
"So, would you like to know what you can do now?"
Izuki nodded again.
"Ok, then. LESSON ONE!"
All of a sudden, a point of light appeared in the darkness, and then exploded. As the wave travelled towards her, she could see stars being born, galaxies coalescing, and black holes forming from dying stars as they exploded in flashes of light. "The Q have existed for as long as the Universe has. Well,...their Universe, anyway. Though some of them have managed to expand to other Universes."
"Including mine?" asked Izuki, her intelligent mind quickly analyzing the scenarios. "Nah! Not yours. It takes even the Q, an exceptional amount of power to even begin to break the barriers between Universes. Not many have such power. And even when they do, they don't survive for long. Some Universes out there, are a little too hostile for even beings of their power. But that is not important!" O Ball declared, now coming back to her lesson. "Anyways, the Q have existed, and they still exist to this day. In their Universe. Not yours. That last point is important for later! LESSON TWO!"
The Universe that had sprung up around them whilst they were talking disappeared, replaced by the same white emptiness where Izuki had first met O Ball. "Right. So, Powers of a Q!"
Izuki became excited. Even after the shock of learning that she wasn't fully human, she was still eager to see what powers she would posses.
"So. The original Q. The pure Q, that is, are basically omnipotent." O Ball said the last word casually. The gasp of awe by Izuki went completely unnoticed. "They could do pretty much anything, be anything, see anything, have anything. Nothing had the power to defeat them. All time and space was their playground."
"YOU, however, are a half Q, half Human. So, unfortunately, full omnipotence will not be on the table. Notice though,..that I said, FULL omnipotence is not on the table. But some omnipotence? Definitely!"
Izuki smiled at that. At least she'd get something.
"So, let me go through a list. Are you reeady?!"
"YES!" cried Izuki.
"Then here we go! You can:
"Travel to the past! No interference allowed in past events, and no travel to the future though." O Ball's voice suddenly became grave. "I might step in if that happens. You don't want that darling. Believe me.
"Control reality! You can change reality to fit whatever you desire! Do you want an obscene amount of wealth from absolutely nothing? Sure! Change the gravitational constant? Child's play! Appoint yourself as Queen of The World? I mean, I don't know why you'd do that when you could appoint yourself as Queen of the Universe, but yes! Absolutely yes!
"NEXT UP, Power! Strength, speed, endurance, fighting skill, intelligence, anything and everything that could possibly count as being a form of power, for you, will be amped up to over nine...thouuusand!
"Mind Control! You can brainwash people, rewrite their memories, read their minds, control their minds, reduce and expand intelligence, insert memories and delete memories, wipe everything clean and create a whole different life, you name it!
"Space control! You have the ability to, travel anywhere in space, warp space, bend space, change space, teleport, and so on! No existing in multiple points though. Sorry kid, have to nerf you just a bit. No hard feelings?"
Izuki frowned. "Um,..what does nerf mean?"
"Gah, forget it! I'll just assume you have no hard feelings! MOVING ON!
"Atomic manipulation! You can deconstruct, reconstruct, change molecular structures, and so on! No destroying and creating matter, definitely no tampering with thermodynamics! That's only for actual Qs!
"And finally, Cosmic Awareness! It basically makes you aware of every little thing going on around you from electrons moving around their atoms on your skin, to a freaking supernova in another galaxy! Though I do advise not letting it extend too far. Probably just stick to whatever is in your immediate vicinity. You don't want to get sensory overload, trust me.
"And that about rounds it up!" cried O Ball, before taking a deep breath. "Wooowee, that's a lot of powers! Of course," she hastened to add, "Everything I just said is a mere fraction of an actual Q's powers. But still, that makes you the most powerful being in this Universe! I get you might need some time to absorb everything, so I shall give you a minute! Or an hour. Eh, take as much time as you want!"
Barely a few seconds after she said that, Izuki piped up, "But then what about my father? He's a full Q, isn't he? Doesn't that make him more powerful than me?"
O Ball stayed silent.
"Uh..Miss O Ball?"
"Sorry kid. But it appears it's time for LESSON THREE!"
Once again the emptiness where they had been conversing disappeared, and was replaced by the sight of a road, outside an apartment building in Musutafu.
"Observe."
Q sighed, as he walked out of the apartment. He felt guilty about leaving the poor woman behind, to raise such a powerful child by herself. But this was a world of superpowers he had ended up in. It'd make it easier for them. And if not, well, the vast amount of money that had calmly deposited in Inko's bank account a second ago, via a copy of himself, would be more than enough for her and the child to live a comfortable life.
I'll meet her every month. He promised himself. No matter how much effort it takes me.
"Sorry, sweetie. That's not happening." said a girlish voice, chuckling.
Q gasped, and swiveled around to locate the person who had so casually read his mind. Such a thing was impossible!
"I'm right here." said a voice behind him.
He spun around, and found himself looking down at a teenage girl, reclining in the air, with her chin in her hands. She wore a black top, black leggings, and both her hair and eyes were blue, one sky, the other ice.
"Who are you?!" demanded Q. He then thought about what he had just asked, and found himself stumbling back in shock. "Oh? A Q doesn't know who I am. So..does that make me more..or less..powerful..than you?"
"M-m-more powerful?!" Q stammered, unbelieving. Impossible! I haven't even sensed any being like me in this Universe! How can there be someone more powerful?
The girl nodded her head. "Smart. Yep! You are but an ant to me, darling." her voice was sickly sweet.
"Wh-why are you here?"
"Oh, just to collect my debt for helping you."
"H-helping me?"
The being laughed. "Duh! Are you so naive as to think you can break the barriers between reality and go to another Universe, without help?"
"Wh-what are you talking about?!" Q became angry. "I did it myelf! No one helped me!"
"Tsk, tsk. You still don't get it, do you? I made it possible for you in the first place! Without me, you wouldn't even be here!"
Well, there's your answer. The Q Continuum as a whole is non-existent in the MHA universe. Sorry, but having them being present would cause far too many complications and plot holes. And yes, I am nerfing Izuki's powers. Mostly because she is half human, so it fits with the story, and partially because if I didn't then Izuki would simply curbstomp every enemy.
Just thought I'd clear all that up.
Till next time.
