It was Wednesday, November 1st, 2017, and Honest had eight more days until Sonic Forces came out. She already knew how to draw Infinite, but she still had no idea how to draw Custom Character (or CC for short). It wasn't like he was going to be in the game, but Honest wasn't going to be able to play Forces, so she wouldn't be able to make her own Custom Character to take his place. Instead, she would have to draw CC in order to portray the Avatar when he was in a particular scene. It was important that she learn to draw him pronto!

Shadow was reading a book in the front room. Honest frantically searched under every couch cushion and blanket. She then dug through their bookshelves of game cases. After looking there, she proceeded to run a hand through Shadow's spines to look for whatever she was looking for.

"What are you looking for?" Shadow finally asked her for the answer we've been waiting for, not looking up from his book.

"My 3DS!" Honest exclaimed. "Sonic didn't take it and hide it under his bed again, did he?"

Shadow licked his finger and turned the page. "Did you try looking in your room?"

"Of course I did!" Honest told him. "That was the first place I looked! It wasn't on the charger where it usually is, it wasn't in the drawer where I put Pokémon Yellow and my Gameboy, and it wasn't anywhere near my desk, either, where it might've been if I had used it there."

"Well, then where was the last place you used it?"

Honest thought for a second. "I think I used it in the kitchen one morning to play that stone flipping game with Rin while I ate breakfast."

"Then look there." Honest nodded and sprinted off. "Why does she need me to tell her where to look?" Shadow asked himself quietly. Honest returned.

"It's not there.." Honest wiped away an invisible tear with the back of her gloved hand.

Honest, not having her 3DS, sat beside Shadow while he read.

(I eventually found it in {w/Rosy} when Snow and them moved into another house temporarily. It was underneath the kitchen table.)

"I really wanted to play Pokémon today. I love that Pokémon called Kecleon. That is just the silliest name. It's a chameleon like Espio that can turn invisible," Honest told him. He listened as he read.

"I had a Vaporeon that I really loved. His name was in Korean, so I just called him "Vaporeon". He was level 80, and he couldn't level up for some reason, so I traded him to someone. I want to find him again some time. You know, that actually happened once. Once I traded my Mewtwo in Pokémon Y for something else, and a week or so later, I was trading in Alpha Ruby and I got a Mewtwo whose owner, it said, was "Honest"! It was the exact same Mewtwo I traded off a week or so ago! In Alpha Ruby my character's name is Depquin, a name I made up in Pokémon Silver. So, if you ever find a Vaporeon with the name Depquin or Honest as its owner, will you trade it back to me?"

"I don't play Pokémon," he said. Honest gasped.

"What? Well, you need to play it right now!" Honest said, shaking him. The book closed and he lost his spot.

"I don't want to. I only play Puyo Puyo Tetris and Sonic games on my 3DS!" he tried to tell her, angry that he had lost what page he had been reading.

"I have Pokémon X you can play! Sonic bought it a long time ago, but only played it once or twice before giving it back to me."

"I don't want to play Pokémon. It's not by Sega."

Honest just looked at him as if he had just grown a second head which, if he did, I know someone who would like to draw him. "That's not an excuse! There are a lot of games that aren't by Sega that I like. We just can't play Nintendo games. Other game companies are absolutely fine!"

Shadow just sighed. "Just- Give it to me when you find your 3DS and I'll play it."

"Yay!" Honest exclaimed. Shadow just shook his head, not knowing what to make of her.

It was now November 2nd, 2017, and Honest was busy drawing Sega's Custom Character and Infinite in preparation for Sonic Forces, which would be coming out in seven days. Honest had spoke to a couple of people on a video that had recently been taken down by Sega for using a particular song who said they would be getting the game on the seventh in only 5 days. Honest wondered how that was possible.

Anyway, nothing happened then or the 3rd, but Monday, the 6th of November, Honest was coming down the stairs on the way to third period when she saw Shadow. He observed her as she struggled down each step, her legs shaking on the way down.

"Hey, Honest. Uh, are you okay?" he asked her.

"I'm fine," Honest said, smiling. "Why are you asking?"

"You looked unstable as you came down the stairs as if you could fall at any moment." Honest took her backpack off and put it outside the classroom against the wall. "Is your backpack heavy or something?" Shadow picked up the bag with only a tad bit of trouble. It was pretty heavy, though.

"What all do you have in here?" Shadow unzipped it and leafed through pages upon pages of worksheets. "Just paper can't be this heavy." He dug deeper.

One of Honest's ears twitched as she watched him. "I have my school laptop in there and a couple of notebooks as well."

Shadow gave up and zipped her backpack back up, setting it against the wall once more. "Some strange force keeps your bag weighed down. You're cursed."

"Have you been listening to Sticks lately?" Honest asked him. "Of course I'm just kidding with you. No one actually listens to that paranoid raccoon."

"She's a badger," Shadow reminded her.

"I know. Chaos, Shadow. Learn to recognize jokes when you hear them." Shadow didn't say anything and just walked into the classroom.

Sixth period, Honest pulled up a playlist of her own song covers on YouTube to listen to while she worked on her fan fiction. For some reason the first song was really quiet, so she turned it up super loud to hear it, and she ended up almost destroying her ear drums. The next song came on, and she smiled to herself when she recognized the sound of the voice she had made herself. Every time she happened to hear her, it made her happy to know that she had created that voice herself, even if it did sound crappy.

(I got so tired of making crappy things. Nowadays, my policy is that it has to look like a well-oiled machine made it, or else I will not show it off.)

Sonic Forces would be out in three days. The last time she had been anticipating a main series game it had been Sonic Boom. That was 2014. Honest had experienced three years of nothing (except Fire and Ice, which she has but never plays because she only bought it for collection purposes), so it was hard for her to remember how to act. She had to just wait, visit the Sega blog every day, and practice drawing Infinite and CC over and over.

What Honest really wanted to do was make her custom character as Scourge, but she didn't have a PS4 and most likely would never have one. She would be the only person in 2030 buying a PS4, but that would be how long it would take her to get one. Honest needed to start saving up money, but all she had was two dollars worth of quarters in her backpack which she would spend on apple juice this week.

On November sixth, late at night, Honest found Shadow playing with Akane with a colorful feather connected to the end of a line of string connected to the end of a plastic stick. Every once and awhile, Akane would catch the feather, and he had to struggle to get it away from her, so they could continue playing. Honest smiled, amused at the rare happening that was going on in front of her.

"You're playing with Akane?" Honest asked him, walking up and sitting beside him and the orange cat on the carpet. He seemed startled for a moment, but lowered the feather so Akane could grab it once more.

"Yeah," he said. "You think it's strange?"

"No!" Honest said, jokingly. "Of course not! I think what you're doing is cute."

Shadow "pft"ed. "Akane is the cute one. Watch how hard she is trying to get this feather though she will never be able to pull it off the-"

Suddenly the string broke and Akane ran away happily into the kitchen, the feather in her mouth. Shadow just watched with his mouth agape.

Honest laughed. "There she goes~!"

Shadow sighed and stood up. "I'll have to tie it back together." He began to stomp off.

"Wait!" Honest exclaimed, jumping up and grabbing onto his shoulders. "Let her play with it a while and get bored. Then you can go get it and fix it."

Shadow nodded in understanding and turned around. "And while we wait?"

"UNO!" She pulled a strange card game with cards of every color of the rainbow out of nowhere.

"Dos."

"That's the name of the game, Uno."

"Oh, I thought we were counting."

Honest laughed again and walked into the main room, beginning to clear things off the table so they could play there. Shadow and Honest sat on opposite sides of it and Honest gave each of them seven, lucky cards.

"When I put down a card-" She laid a green card with the number "5" on it in the middle of the table. "You have to put down one of your cards that either has the same number or the same color. If you don't have any valid cards, you draw from the center. If you have a black card that says "Wild!" on it, you can lay that down at any time and change the color to whatever you want. If you have a card that says "+2" or "+4", I have to draw that many cards. If you get a card that has a picture of a red circle with a line through it like the sign you have on your door that says "No Sonics Allowed", my turn is skipped and you go again. When you have one card left, you say "UNO!". Then, if you put that card in, you win the game.

"Sounds pretty complicated," he said after she had finished explaining. He sifted through his cards.

"It's not once you start playing it. Here, you go now. Find a card that'll go with my green five."

Shadow looked through his cards before pulling out a green three. Honest put in a red three.

"Woah, woah, woah! You can't do that! What are you doing?!" Shadow exclaimed, reaching for the card.

"It's a three, Shadow. I matched a three with a three."

"Oh," he said, pulling his hand back. "Sorry. Uh.." He put in a red two. Honest put in a red nine. Shadow tried to put in a yellow six.

"Shadow."

"What?" He looked up from his cards.

"Are you seriously putting in a six?" Honest asked him.

"But that's a- oh." He picked the card back up and began to draw cards. He dropped a wild card onto Honest's red nine. Shadow thought a while. "Hm.. yellow." Honest put in a yellow card with a picture of arrows on it.

"What does that mean?" he asked her.

"It means that it's my turn again," Honest told him. He just nodded. She dropped a red card on the stack with arrows on it. "And again." She dropped in a red two.

"UNO!"

"What?" Shadow said, confused.

"I still have one card left, Shad. Your turn." Honest was gripping onto the card in her hand, waiting for his move. He dropped in another wild card. "Green."

A green two fell from Honest's hand onto the stack.

"I won!"

"No!" Shadow's lip quivered.

"Woah. Calm down. We can play again if you want," Honest offered.

Shadow crossed his arms and looked away. He noticed Akane asleep on top of his green scarf that he left underneath a card table. The feather was lying beside her. Shadow stood up and walked towards her and the feather.

Honest saw what he was doing and sighed, picking up all the cards. Shadow tied the feather back onto the string from the cat toy and set it in the window sill for later.

Now you can see what an average day looks like for Honest and Shadow. Also, a note for his voice actor, Shadow liking cats isn't cute, it's just weird and unnecessary. Anyway, please (leave a review), and remember to be patient while waiting for new chapters to be published. I work really hard on them, so they sometimes take a while.

(On here, it will be more or less instant, though.)
