Chapter 3 – Oh great another one…
"Good work! We have confirmed that your party had finished the quest to kill 10 Giant Toads. Even though it was required to finish in 5 days, you did it in 2 days! You and your party are amazing, Peter-san!"
Oh you think?
After we got back from the quest, I tried to convince Megumin to use other spells the next time we getting a kill quest but to no avail, the little brat doesn't even flinch a bit and only wants to cast Explosion so I shrugged it off before I snapped. So after that, I scooted Aqua and Megumin to the bathhouse because they're covered in slime and the smell is really giving off. I then reported at the guild's counter, receiving the undertaking reward.
It seems that if you kill monsters, they will be recorded on our adventurer cards so they won't have to bother to come on the crime scene.
Looking at my card again, I was now Level 12. It seems killing that last toad gave a little Experience Points so that I can move on to another level. Guess I passed the 10 range.
All the stats on my card has also increased but I still felt the same old spider body. But hey, looks like I can really get stronger by killing this monsters. It really is a game.
I look at my card again and I see something called Skill Points. Beside the word Skill Points, showed a numbers of 100.
As far as I know, I have to spend these so I can learn skills. That's cool.
But a total of 100 Skill Points? What the hell it looks like I'm hacking an RPG game.
I decided to give a check on the skills that I can potentially use, taking a look on how seems to be useful of defeating the Devil King.
Steal - steals items in an area; what the user gets is random. The chances of better loot increase based on the luck of the user.
That seems useful…although I already have my web shooters to do the job, guess I'll have to learn it.
Enemy Detection - Allows the user to sense hostiles using "Radar-like" pings.
I already have my spider sense so this seems useless.
Lurk - Reduces user's visibility and scent, it showcases its activation when the user disappears like a shadow.
Hmm that's cool. Useful for ambush and surprise attacks. It may also help the smell of my suit. Oh it looks like there's a better version for it.
Silent Predator – A physical skill that renders the caster invisible but it also reduces the caster's movement speed. A chance of detection by enemies of caster's level or higher.
Guess Lurk is not out of the picture yet. I'll decide what I will learn later.
Advanced Jobs also has a particular series of skill for their class. As a Dark Stalker, I also have this Phantom series. A skill set can be seen:
Quad Shadow - moves in a designated direction and releases a phantom behind the caster.
Phantom Projectiles – Whenever the caster throws a weapon forward, it will travel back after flying a certain distance.
Phantom Kill - turns into a shadow and dashes around the field.
"If only I could create something that can help my arachnid abilities, but guess that's one way to know…For now I'll just pick the basic skills"
I decide to select and purchase two skills. Steal and Lurk.
I thought about learning Silent Predator instead of Lurk but it seems that using Silent Predator also reduces my speed. Being a slow Spider-Man is a big no.
After picking my skills, the counter staff lady finally arrives with my reward.
"Here is your reward for the quest. 200,000 Eris."
So 1 toad each is 20,000 Eris. Even though we got that much money, doesn't seem that fair to me.
If I was a normal person then it would take days to gain a prize like 20,000 Eris. Minus that for a 3 men team.
"Thanks…" After saying that, I received the reward.
If I wasn't fast enough, we would have been wiped out. But I guess I'm not want to talk, I can just plunge all of those annoying toads.
Wonder what are the other quests are?
I then took a look at the bulletin board where other quests were posted.
- Help me look for my pet white wolf
- Sharpen my son's swordsmanship - Requirements: Must be a Rune Knight or Sword Master.
- A subject for my experiment - Requirements: Must have a strong magic resistance and High HP.
- Marry my daughter - Requirements: Must have noble blood and long phallus.
….What?
- Hunt a Eris follower Rewards: Become an Axis devouter.
- Kindly clean my toilet

What's with these quests? I can't handle the stupidity in them. Is becoming a devouter in Aqua's church even a reward? Yeah no thanks!
In my fourth day of this world, I felt like returning to my old one. I rather fight the Sinister Six at this point.
For now, I'll just wait for the other two to finish cleaning up.
I sat down on a chair nearby, did a long sigh and leaned on my palm, waiting for my skilled and efficient allies.
What a day…
Suddenly, after minutes of waiting, someone behind talked to me.
"I happened to read your recruitment poster."
She had a rather distinguished voice. Getting tired of dealing with the dullness of this world, I turned my head with empty eyes.
Well I was speechless. It was a female knight and a beauty too while looking at me expressionlessly. She was rather tall but I'm still taller than her. Her long blond hair was tied into a ponytail, a smooth skin and a beautiful complexion with blue eyes. Wearing a solid metal armor all over her body.
"Are you still recruiting?" She asked me with a cold face that could get masochists really turned on.
Lucky I'm not of those perverts…
Although that I'm grateful inside that this new person would actually join us, I can't let her join a group of problem children.
"I wouldn't join if I were you though. You see my party has...issues. Even though all of us have Advanced Jobs, I'm gotta be honest with you, they're a cargo of nugatory. So I'm so- owowowow! What the- Hey let go!"
What the hell? I didn't even notice that she took hold of my hand. Hell of a grip though.
"Were those girls that were covered in goo your comrades?!"
Huh?
"Um..yes, they are…Like I said they're a burden so I wouldn't recommend to join- hey could you let go? Seriously let go hey let go! It hurts! Please let go! Owww!"
Shit, her grip is getting harder and harder.
"W..What happen? They are so lucky…I also…want to experience ah I mean-" She said while between heavy breaths.
What did she say?
She really needs to let me go...
"Could you please let go of my hand?" I said while glaring at her
"Oh I'm so sorry…Now where was I…Ah right!"
She suddenly stood straight and composed herself.
"You see, I'm a knight. After I found out those two young girls had experienced, I can't just watch. My job is a Crusader, an Advanced Job. That should fit your criteria of your conscript. I also heard about you though. You're Peter Parker, the rookie adventurer who has the rare Advanced Job, Dark Stalker."
So she also has an Advanced Job huh? It seems that she heard about me, well yeah there was a big commotion when both Aqua and I registered as Adventurers for the first time…
Anyway, I can't get it out of my mind the thing that she said earlier…What did she mean 'Lucky'? And here I thought she was a calm and collected woman but talking to her puts a chill down in my spine.
It's like my spider sense is tingling.
"Anyway, I really don't think it's a good idea to join us. You see, one of my party member is a lost cause while the other one is a glass cannon. It's a crippled party so it would probably best if you find another-"
She suddenly leaned closer and grabbed my hand again. This time, she strengthened her grip even further.
"Hey! What are you-"
"That won't be a problem! You see, I am confident in my strength and durability but I seem to have problem hitting the enemy…"
Looks like my spider sense is spot on.
"So if you like, just abuse me like a human shield please!"
Too close! Her pretty face is in front of me who was sitting in a chair!
Why is she breathing like that? Eh? What the hell? Is she turned on? Oh shit at this rate I might get a boner…
I may not be a virgin anymore but this is still making me tense.

"Uhh no I can't do that. Seriously lady, just go find a different party. If you decide to join us, then you will be in a real trouble. Monsters might overwhelmed you everytime we do a kill quest so-"
"It will be my pleasure."
"Like I said, you did saw those girls right? It might happen to you too you know?"
"That's exactly what I want!"
After hearing that, I slowly shifted my neck to the blushing female knight
"….What?" I said while looking at the knight who's in between hefty breaths.
Ah I see…
Apparently she's one of those people…

It was the day after killing those toads. We were eating late lunch at the guild.
"I really need to learn some more skills." I said.
I can't help it or the correct term is that I can't decide what's next to learn. Learning Steal was a big help when I used it to steal Aqua's oversized scarf or something so I can just annoy her. I didn't exactly tried using the Lurk skill yet but having 2 skills only was a bummer.
"Then how about-"
"Like I said, Megumin. I'm a Dark Stalker, I can't learn Explosion which is more on the magic side…"
Although even if I can learn it, I'm not wasting my skill points just so I can fell flat on the ground after using it.
Megumin just pouted and returned her focus on eating the meal. Aqua, on the other hand, was loud as hell calling the waitress to order more food.
These ladies has a big appetite for their tender age.
Suddenly, Megumin stopped eating again and asked a question.
"Oh Peter-san, can I ask a question?"
"You already are…"
"Can I ask another question then?"
"You alrea- haaahh…what?"
"That snot-like string that came out of your wrist…was that a skill?"
After hearing that, my eyebrows were twitching dangerously. Why…this is the second time that someone called my webs 'snot'.
Aqua was shaking while covering her mouth. I could tell that she was laughing.
I'll bury her later.
"Look, they're not snot okay? And it's not a skill either. It's my…how do I put it…" I drifted off while scratching my head, desperately trying to come up with an explanation.
I can't just say to her that I got bitten by a spider and got my powers…I don't think she will believe me.
Wait…I think she will.
"Well you see, I came from a clan who has a tradition of "The Way of a Spider". That thing that came out of my wrist was a web and it's my inborn power. Yeaaahh, something like that…"

Megumin widen her eyes and was actually glittering. She suddenly stood up…
"So you're the same as us, Crimson Demons, then?! Looks like I might have another rival! Fuhaha!"
Oh good she took the bait but she took it way harder though. Heh, she really is a kid, kinda reminds me of someone back in my world.
After posing like a cosplayer, Megumin returned to her seat and starts eating again. This time it was my turn to ask questions.
"How many skill points did you use in order to use that Explosion spell, Megumin?"
After hearing that, Megumin reacted strongly to my casual question and suddenly leaned closer to my face
"Are you interested, Peter-san?! The skill points needed to learn Explosion would be ludicrously high! It's a shame that you can't learn it though since there's no other skill that are worth learning except Explosion! However, I can still take you the path of explosions! So want to do it together?!"
Very poor choice of words, girl! There's a flag that was raised for a second there…
"Calm down, you little brat…Even if I want to learn about Explosion, I can't learn since I'm more of a rogue type. Besides, you're already a mage I can't just take your posi- hmm? Are you okay?"
"Li...Little brat?" Megumin said while slowly returning to her meal, depressingly.
Oh shit, 'little brat' might be a taboo word for her I think…
I asked Aqua instead about my question earlier.
"Hey Aqua, if someone wants to learn explosion spell, how many skill points would be needed?"
"Hmmm if someone wants to learn explosion spell, 20 or more skill points might not be enough. You will probably need to train for a decade or more and finance your skill points in order to learn it."
"Really? Someone with a decade of patience would be needed for that…"
So that's why I have a lot of skill points. Apparently, skill points are your 'experiences'. Considering that I was Spider-Man for 5 years, guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Megumin was still stunned after I called her a little girl while eating her meal, dejectedly.
"Do you have any particular skills, Aqua?" I asked to the dumb goddess.
She was being thoughtful for a moment then said:
"Oh, you want to bear witness of my divine skills? It can't be helped! Here I'll show you…" Aqua said while picking up a cup of water.
I just stared at Aqua with a lazy expression as I watched her every movement. She started to put the cup of water at the top of her head while trying not to let the cup fall.
She then took out something like a seed and place it on the table.
"Alright, flick the seed into the cup!"
"….This is a party trick right?"
"Eh? Ah yes…but it really is amazing you see after the seed is put into the cup, something amazing will happen! The seed would absorb the water and then it would sprout-"
"I know how plant grows, Aqua…Really, is this all you'd learn about being an Archpriest? Party tricks? You're worthless than I thought…" I was too late as I already spouted something that I would really want to keep for her sake.
After hearing that insult, Aqua started her whine routine and shaking me violently. Her face was not like a goddess that I would picture to. Good lord, she's miserable…
The cup is still on her head and was drawing a lot of attention.
"Ahhh you're the party that Darkness wanted to join, right?" a new voice said.
Hearing about the interjecting sound, I turned my head and saw two girls sitting at a close by table.
She was rather young and with a petite figure. A stunning silver hair with a small scar on her face and a bright personality. Another girl sat with her. With the same blond hair in a full plate mail.
Great, it was that weirdo yesterday.
"I've heard about you, you're Peter Parker, the rookie that got the Advanced Job, the Dark Stalker. Ah, guess I should introduce myself. Name's Chris and this girl beside me is Darkness." She said with a cute salute.
"Ah yeah, we actually met yesterday.." I said while scratching my head.
"Yeah she told me. But you rejected her to join your party, is there a problem?" She said with an oblivious face.
"No not really..."
Actually, there is...
"It's just that, even though we all have Advanced Jobs, we're actually mediocre. If that girl joins our party, then she would be greatly disappointed with the results."
The girl did the same move yesterday. She leaned closer and took hold of my hand. Again.
"T-that's not true! It would be a great pleasure to be abused no I mean to be a shield to your party!"
Ugghhh, she's a lost cause!
The silver-haired girl suddenly took hold of Darkness' shoulder.
"Calm down, Darkness…At this rate, he would be weirded out by your clinginess and your hopes of joining his party will only be a dream…"
"Ah…b-but…" Darkness stuttered and she looks like she was about to cry.
Ah I hope she leaves. If she joins my party then I would have another fool to take care of. I'm already hauling my ass of looking out for those two dumbasses at the same time…
"Sorry, Peter Parker. She just barely started as an adventurer and she can be a bit handful sometimes."
Ha, handful my ass…
"So let's have a deal." She suddenly declared.
After hearing what she said, I stared at her like she was growing a head or something.
"A deal?"
"Steal!"
She suddenly shouted while reaching her hand forward and a small item appeared in her outstretched hand…
It was my wallet and it has 150,000 Eris inside.
That bitch…
"Hey What the?! That's my wallet!" I shouted while showing that I was clearly irritated by the display she showed me.
"Ohhh this wallet of yours seems heavy! What a jackpot!"
"H-Hey Chris, what are you doing?" Darkness asked with a worried voice.
In the next moment, I shot a web line towards my wallet but much to my surprise, she simply step aside and threw the wallet to her other arm like she was playing a trick or something.
"What's your deal lady? Look if you want money, you could have asked and I would give you a penny but to steal my wallet? Now your just playing an ugly 'hard to get' play!"
Chris suddenly did a tortuous smile as she raised the wallet above her head.
"That snot-like string was weird! Was that a skill? Anyway, like I said, let's have a deal, Peter Parker. I will return your wallet but on one condition…"
Ah great, this is like Hero and Villains conversations all over again. Also she called my webs, 'snot'!
"Darkness will have to join your party…" She ended her sentence.
Yeah…no thanks.
"Seriously? That's your aim material to snatch my wallet away from me? You're dumber than I thought, Chris the Thief. What's next? I would prefer if you stole Aqua's scarf though" I said with a smirk.
"Hey!" Aqua yelled.
"What's wrong with Darkness joining your party? She's a crusader. She can be a great vanguard for your team. It would be a shame to waste this opportunity…"
Lady, you have no idea what you're talking about. She may present herself with an aura of pride and nobility but she's a complete masochistic pervert!
"Ah screw this, I may be a smartass but talking to you seems a waste of time. Anyway, Steal!" I suddenly shouted while casting back to her with a Steal of my own.
There's actually an upshot of using this basic skill. There's no option to upgrade it since the Steal skill is dependent on your luck. I once tried using the steal skill before but due to my Parker luck, I seem to have struggled to steal something that I would want to steal. However this time, it looks like it worked.
That's what you get for looking down on- hmm?

After casting the steal skill, Chris who was in front of me started shaking and dropped something to the ground.
It was my wallet. Ah, it looks like I failed. However, I think the skill worked, somehow.
As I gazed at my outstretched hand that seemed to have grabbed something, it was kind of hot like it came out of a tight space. I then opened my hand which made the thing to dangle in the air and I observed.
A piece of white cloth.
There was a long silence that occurred. As soon as everyone on the guild noticed the particular cloth, they then stared at me like I was garbage except Darkness who was looking at me like I was the messiah.
The 'piece of white cloth' that was in my hand was actually Chris' panties.
"Give me back my panties!" Chris pulled down her skirt as she screamed with tears in her eyes.

After that stealing scene that occurred at the guild, everything goes back to normal, somehow I think.
I still felt cold gaze at me like I was trash or something. Aqua even came up with a nickname for me which is 'Trash-Man'. She just basically replaced Spider with trash and put a hyphen between it. Can't say I blame her after that…
Megumin, on the other hand, won't even sit beside me anymore as she distanced herself from me while shaking at our table.
After apologizing to Chris about what happened, she also apologized to me and left the guild to join a dungeon exploration party. However, she left me with Darkness though.
"Should you be joining her?" I had to ask.
She sat down at our table so naturally that you would forget she has a dark side.
"No. People with the same vanguard class as me could be found anywhere. Although thieves are essential for dungeon exploration, it wasn't too popular with others. There are many teams that wants to recruit Chris."
She's right. There's also many adventurers that wanted to recruit me and Aqua to their party. Although I politely rejected them.
Then I thought about that stealing scene again, it never got out of my mind. It was the most embarrassing moment in my entire life I prefer that I die again.
How the hell did that happened?
"So….can I join your party?"
"No."
"Oh..ah!" Darkness' face was blushing and her body vibrated as she let out a whimper when he heard my blunt reply.
She's hopeless, hopeless! Is she really getting turned on right now? She's rotten to the very core of the earth!
Aqua and Megumin were getting curious about her. Oh this is bad…
"Hey, Peter, who is this? Was she the one who came for the interview yesterday?" Aqua curiously asked.
"Wait a minute." Megumin chimed in. "Is she a crusader? Then there's no reason to reject her!"
No. Don't you get it?
This is a bad situation, if these two started to feed the pressure then it won't be long before….
No choice then.
The air around us suddenly changed as I stared at her with a serious poker face.
"Look Darkness, we might not look like it but we really intend to defeat the Demon King…"
I'm not kidding though, I do intend to defeat this Demon king but I'm just using a method so I can repel her. Even Megumin was surprised by this.
Hmmm, this is a golden opportunity.
"That's right, hear me this, Megumin. Both Aqua and I intend to defeat the Demon King. That's our goal as adventurers. And so, our adventures will become more dangerous and cruel. Especially you Darkness, as a female knight, there might be a time that you would be captured and tortured by the Demon King and that's ugly…"
Oh no, I phrased it wrongly. I shouldn't have said that.
"You're right! Since ancient times, getting raped by the Demon king has been the job for the female knights! That would be the greatest honor!" Darkness who expressed her strong agreement made me flinched in surprise.
Excuse me, what the f***?
"What did you say?"
"Hmm? What? Did I say something wrong?"
Everything about you is wrong, you pervert. I'll handle you later.
"How about you, Megumin? Our opponent is the Demon King, I won't force you to join our cause bu-"
Megumin cut me off as she suddenly stood up, knocking the chair away while she flung her cloak.
"I am Megumin! The elite mage in the Crimson Demon race! I am the master of Explosion magic! Demon King? Ha! I shall be the one who will extinguish him with powerful spell!"
Just like that, the tension was even higher than before…
Damn it all, screw all of you…
"Alright fine. Welcome to the party Darkness…" I said between irritation and tired voice while rubbing the bridge of my nose.
"Re..reall-"
Before Darkness could finish her sentence, I cut her off.
"But!" I shouted that the three of them even flinched. "You should know that I am the leader of this party right? For that matter, you will follow my every command as soon as I ordered you so, am I clear about this, Darkness? Hey are you listening? What the? Are you glad?! Stop rubbing between your thighs you masochistic woman! Oh you're even worse than I thought!"
She is hopeless to the core! I knew this was a bad idea!
While I was drooping my head dejectedly, Aqua suddenly pulled at my sleeve.
"Peter, I was a bit scared when you put it in a way of defeating the Demon King. Is there an easiest way take on the Demon King?"
….You should be the one who said that since this is part of you going back to heaven.
In the next moment, a loud broadcast could be heard.
"Emergency quest! Emergency quest! All adventurers in town, please gather at the front gate at once! I repeat, emergency quest! Emergency quest! All adventurers in town, please gather at the front gate at once!"
Even though it looks like there's danger by the looks of it, my spider sense is not even tingling. However, i still felt a bit uneasy.

After receiving that warning, almost all of the adventurers in the town is now at the front gate along with me and my party. It seems something is happening…
"What is it? What's going on?"
Everyone outside the gate was rigid. Seriously, just what is it?
In the far distance, I see something green. A green cloud that was approaching the town. After seeing that monstrosity, I instinctively got to my crouching stance which startled everyone.
"Um, Peter are you okay? You seem serious for a second there…" Aqua asked.
"Oh I don't know? Maybe after seeing that big cloud, I'm starting to get tensed too? Get a clue, Aqua. Besides, by the looks of it, it smells like danger…" I replied. Even though my spider sense isn't tingling, I can't let my guard down.
Still, it's pretty weird that I don't have to take care of this people around me. Back in my world, I would have to double my guard but now I'm in another world full of special people, guess I won't have to watch for them anymore…
Still, if I see someone in danger, I'll still have my cue.
"You don't have to be so tense, it's just cabbages…" Aqua noted.
What?
"Cabbage? Is that a monster?" I said with a gawk.
After conveying my thoughts, everyone around me looked at me with a distressing feel for some reason.
"It's not a monster, Peter. Don't you know what a cabbage is?"
"I know what a cabbage is, dumbass! I'm saying that is it a monster or what? Does somebody need help?" I shouted.
"No, it's just a transhumance of cabbages…" Aqua replied with a blank stare.
"A what now?"
"Attention, everyone!" The counter staff lady whose name is Luna, shouted through a megaphone. "It's now the time of the year, the annual cabbage harvesting season! I'm deeply sorry for everyone to gather on such a short notice! However, this year's harvest might be the best quality yet so work hard! Each one is worth 10,000 Eris! Please take care of your own safety and don't get hurt from the cabbage's attacks! We already have cages to store them so please catch as many as you can!"
Whaaaaat?
"Really? That was all the fuss?" I said out of astonishment.
After the lady's announcement, everyone gave a sounds of cheers and charged into the flying pile of greenery cloud while I watched them with a dumbfounded stare while rubbing the bridge of my nose.
This….is stupid.
Is this really a world that is terrorized by the Demon King?
"This is perfect, Peter Parker. This is my chance to show you my skills of a crusader as I prove my worth." Darkness said with a proud stand as she raised her sword.
"Uh huh, sure…"
I don't really care anymore…
Darkness roared as she charged into the greens. Just when she was in range of the cabbages, she did a straight slash that shook the air around her.
"…."
She did another gash again…
Again…
And again…
Yet, not even a single one of them hit the mark…
Darkness, please….you're embarrassing yourself.
After observing the hitless crusader, I decided to ignore her for now.
Still, one cabbage is worth 10,000 Eris. I grabbed a straw basket that came from the side of the cage and did my work.
Seriously, how can a cabbage has a value twice of a giant toad?
"Alright then, even if it's hard to believe of what I'm seeing right now, money is money. Lurk…"
Using the skill to erase my presence, I charged into the battlefield. Catching plenty of heedless cabbages as well as yanking cabbages that was high up in the air with my web shooters. Using steal at a fair distance and catching cabbages who were unaware of my presence.
Not to blow one's own trumpet but it was hilariously easy.
I have a total of 7 full baskets of cabbages now so if I do an estimate of 20 cabbages per basket that means I have 1,400,000 Eris. Wow, this might be the first time that I will become a millionaire.
While I was busy arranging the baskets, I heard shouts of panic as well as people who got run over by the cabbages. Holy shit, are those really cabbages?
They were flying at a speed at least of a car and if they really hit you, it would really hurt.
"Ah help!" One of the adventurers cried.
Hearing the cry for help, I shot a web line to their backs as I pulled them out of harm's way.
"Courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Spide-, Dark Stalker!" I stuttered while giving them an awkward two finger salute.
Of course I did, it may work on my world but not on this one. Plus it's embarrassing.
After that, I shot a web line again to an empty basket as I used it as a shield while leaving the lid opened. I hold my ground as cabbages ramming into me as well as catching them at the same. Now that's what I call two birds in one stone.
I miss tall buildings.
After noticing that the basket is pretty full, I quickly crouched down to the ground to avoid the ramming cabbages as I closed the lid of the full basket. Guess that's 8 baskets now.
"Ahhhh, heeelp!" Another cried for help again.
From a distance, I spotted a group of armored men who was knocked down as they tried to get away from a cloud of cabbages.
Damn it!
Just when I was about to come to their rescue, the blonde knight with the massive tits suddenly stood in front of them as she braced herself from the ground while cabbages were smashing into her. Her armor was torn off because of the attacks leaving her nothing but a tight black bodysuit yet she still hold her ground.
"Retreat! I'll handle this, go!" Darkness shouted with a commanding voice.
"Darkness!" I shouted out of concern.
The people behind her took the chance to get away as they retreated back to the front gate. Me, on the other hand, barged into a warzone of flying cabbages as I try to save the masochistic crusader.
Having superhuman reflexes of a radioactive spider as I dodge all of the swooshing cabbages as they tried to shove me out of the way while doing somersaults and amazing front flips that really draw out of amazement of the people who was watching me closely.
They were staring at me like I'm doing an exhibition show.
As I finally arrived of where Darkness resides, I quickly tackled her into the ground as I shielded her from the cabbages using my forearm where cabbages are harshly hitting through it.
Just when I thought she was about to thank me…
"W…What are you doing, Peter Parker?!"
"Saving your sorry ass! Get up and get out of here! I'll be fine just- wait a minute are you blushing?"
"Eh…N…no…" Darkness muttered while turning her cherry colored face away from me.
Is she…..aroused?!
I shouldn't have saved her….She's really hopeless isn't she?
"I'll leave if you want…" I suggested.
"Sure!" Darkness immediately replied.

I really want to leave but you know 'great responsibility' thingy, I don't suppose that's considered as simping, probably….
Then in the next moment, I heard a familiar voice who was doing a chant.
"Oh, blackness shrouded in light, Frenzied blaze clad in night…"
Turning my head to the chanting voice, it was Megumin as she raised her staff in front of her petite body.
That idiot!
"Hey you dumbass! We're in your line of fire, stop!"
Even though I shouted like a madman, she still continued her chant as glittering light of mana started to manifest on her staff.
"In the name of the crimson demons, let the collapse of thine origin manifest…"
"I said stop you little brat!"
Even though I shouted the taboo word, she never stopped. However, I did see her flinched and it looks like she's chanting faster…
Did I make her mad?
"Summon before me the root of thy power hidden within the lands of the kingdom of demise!"
Oh boy…
"That little..! Darkness, come here let's get out of- hey why aren't you budging? Hey let go! If you want to stay here then stay! Just let go!"
This masochistic crusader's has one hell of a grip! Damn it, no time…
I panicked so I decide to carry her in a princess carry as I ran back to the front gate.
"P-Peter! What are you doing?! This is embarrassing…!"
"Oh shut up!"
In the next moment, Megumin finally ended her chant…
"Explosion!"
A massive explosion occurred in the middle of the green swarm obliterating them and erasing them from existence as well as leaving a big crater in the ground. After the rumble, Megumin fell flat in the ground with her staff in a thud.
I slowly made my way into her as I crouched down and glared at her menacingly…
After a while, there were still plenty of cabbages that survived the blast as they entered towards the city. Some of the adventurers were chasing them as the residents were evacuated. By the time the swarm had passed, the event was finally over.

The cabbage harvest quest event has ended and the entire town started serving dishes made from cabbages.
I made a big profit as I collected 10 baskets of cabbages. Apparently, it wasn't 20 cabbages per basket, it was 25.
Since one cabbage is worth 10,000 eris, I made 2,500,000 Eris…
The counter staff lady was astonished that I made a lot of money and was praising me nonstop like I was cool and that I'm gonna be the next big shot or something…
She was hesitant on giving me the money for some reason as she never almost left her grip on the big sack of money that was worth two and a half million…
No one else knew about my success yet though, I prefer to lay low and not gonna be tricked into treating all of the adventurers inside the guild.
The four of us sat in a table and ordered the fried cabbages that was sold here as I took a bite…
"I don't get it…It's just a fried cabbage how the hell does it taste so good?" I muttered while slowly chewing the food.
Seriously man, I didn't come to this world to fight flying cabbages.
"Wow Darkness! You were really cool back there! The cabbages couldn't even smash through your iron wall defense!"
"No, that's not true. I only have a tough body, that's all. Even though I can't hit my target, my only worth is being a meat shield- I mean, a strong shield that is worthy to defend the weak…"
Too late lady, I've already heard that…
"But Megumin was more amazing though. You wiped out a horde of cabbages that was breaking right into town with the Explosion."
"Hmph! It's to be expected of the power of my strongest magic. But Peter was more amazing though! Did you see him out there? He was like a true assassin! Well he's a Dark Stalker after all! As expected of my rival!"
"I don't supposed I've considered you my rival, though" I replied with a deadpanned tone.
"Yeah…when I was overrun, Peter saved me as he got me out of the way of the cabbages. Thank you, Peter Parker. I have a question though, what was that snot-like liquid that was coming out of your wrist?" Darkness asked an irritating question.
"I said they're not snot!" I yelled at her face almost at point blank distance.
"Oh…ah! Even though we've only been fellow party members barely a day, you're already gave me a verbal reward!" Darkness said while breathing out of arousal.
She can't be saved…
"You were really amazing, Peter! Catching all of those cabbages with your webs and snatching them off guard from behind with your steal. And the way you effortlessly dodged them around the field…I don't think I've seen you even get hit from one of those things. I guess that's to be expected from a her-amghp!" I quickly covered Aqua's mouth before she spouts the word. She really has no common sense.
Darkness and Megumin gave out a confused expression as they watch both me and Aqua arguing.
"Mmphbwa! What's your problem?!"
"You idiot, they don't even know that you're a goddess so I prefer that they didn't know that I am a superhero too! Hell they didn't even know that I came from another world so shut up!" I muttered in my breath so the two confused girls can't hear.
"Oh…yeah you're right! I am a goddess! Sorry…"
This idiot didn't seriously forget that she was a goddess, wasn't she?
I sighed as I hugged my head and rest it on the table. Oh man, why did it turn out this way! I thought I would be fighting the Demon King and yet here I am, eating a fried monster cabbage.
I wanna go home…
"It's an honor to with your party, Peter Parker. I may be clumsy with my hands and always miss my targets but I'm the best with it comes to being a tank so please take care of me." Darkness said with an angel-like smile.
Oh yeah, I forgot that I actually agreed to her recruitment…
Aqua, on the other hand, just gave out a relaxed smile and was delighted.
"Our party is awesome, Peter! With me as an Archpriest, Megumin as an Archwizard, Darkness as our defensive specialist vanguard, Crusader and you as our party's leader, a Dark Stalker! The four of us all have Advanced Jobs! Oh we're going to be amazing!"
Yeah, an Archpriest who's brain is smaller than an ant, a Crusader who rather get hit than to hit, and an Archwizard who's a total glass cannon. Yeah this team might be better than the Avengers…
"Ohh….I'm so excited to be demolished by monsters. Peter, if you like, you can use me as a bait or a meat shield, the feeling of being abused made me tremble in joy…! Oh…ugh! I can't wait!" Darkness muttered while blushing as she shivered.

An Archpriest that could use all sorts of healing spells, an Archwizard that could use the strongest spell, and a Crusader with iron wall like defense.
What could go wrong?
For now, I'm just following the canon but I'll make my own in the future. Anyway if you're wondering Peter's personality, let's just say he's a mix of Peter B. Parker and the blonde Chris Pine Peter Parker, which both characters came from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse.
