Terrible Tempest

Tempest placed his plug on the mouse. Diana and Maia had sent him a message. "I'm surprised their run-in at the warehouse didn't result in them both being junked." He turned to his computer ally. "All right, Morris. Could you reply to them? I know where Twilight is."

Morris shook. "Oh, sorry. I'll do that right away." A message appeared on his screen. "It's sent, sir."

"Excellent," Tempest said. "Now, I just need to wait for the details."

Tempest peered out of the backroom. A lone teenage employee was entering the gas station.

"I'll just freeze until the coast is clear." Tempest thought. He got on the desk beside Morris.

The diner was busy. Maia and Diana sat in their usual spots. Maia had to get a whole new base. Diana's bag had to be replaced. Haley was unharmed.

After everyone cleared out, Maia approached Tessa.

"So, Tempest in Phoenix wants some information?" Maia asked.

The cash register nodded.

"All right, Ichi," Maia said.

The computer showed a message from Tempest. "Send our Rainbow friend Twilight's first report."

Morris twitched. "Mr. Tempest?" he asked.

Tempest whirled around. "A response?"

"Yes."

Tempest read through the file that Maia sent him. "Ah, what good blackmail material."
