warning: Villain Death

Many years passed in the Never Realm, Andrew and Noah had long since unlocked their powers and had grown into strong, brave, and confident young men who were just as great Ninjas as their parents. Noah, master of water, easy-going and kind with black hair and striking dark blue eyes that were filled with kindness and emotion, he wore a sea green and turquoise ninja gi with a silver water dragon pattern. He specialized in using Kunai throwing knives and shurikens. His brother Andrew, master of Fire and Lightning was hot-headed and sharp-witted, quick with a joke but with a temper that was only cooled by his father or brother. He had green eyes that could pierce your heart, and fiery red hair that stuck out in all directions like his Uncle Kai's did. He wore a vibrant yellow gi, with two dragons on it, one fire and one lightning, red flames at the cuffs and hem, and blue lightning jutting out from the collar. He used a katana and a kusarigama. Both boys had inherited the intelligence of their biological parents, which was enhanced by being raised by Zane. The realm knew them as the Storm Princes and they were admired just as much as their fathers were. They knew about Ninjago and the adventures of their parents through the quilt that hung in the library, but they could not remember being in Ninjago, all they had ever known was the Never realm and their fathers. The boys were 15 and already fully trained Ninjas, but both had yet to unlock their true potentials. Andrew was walking through the formling village to get his brother who was on a date with Akita, the wolf formling. He found them sitting in a tree talking.

"Hey bro, don't mean to interrupt your date but dad asked me to come get you, Vex is causing issues again with Grimfax and dad wants us to help, before Pa sends Everest to get rid of the nuisance, as you can guess, Dad wasn't happy with Pa's idea so he asked us to deal with Vex," said Andrew

"Aw come on, can't you deal with him? I'm busy," said Noah

"Sorry bro, Dad wants both of us to do it," smirked Andrew. Noah sighed and kissed Akita's cheek before jumping out of the tree. The boys formed their power dragons and flew to Grimfax's castle. The boys were shown to the throne room where Vex was being restrained. Grimfax saw the boys and smiled, the elemental family had been allied with him for many years now and he trusted them to protect the realm.

"Thank you, boys, for coming, I'd throw him in the dungeon but he has a habit of talking the guards into letting him out. I trust your family has a better method of containing a silver-tongued manipulator," said Grimfax. Noah formed water cuffs around Vex's wrists and then froze the water. Andrew set his favorite sword on fire and led Vex out at sword point.

"You are lucky we were sent, Our father had the idea of feeding you to our dragon," said Andrew

"Ah but you boys are so strong, you could take this realm from Grimfax and your parents, and of course you would need an advisor," said Vex

"One more word out of you and we are telling our Father that you "fell" down the mountain," said Andrew lifting Vex by the collar of his shirt and dangling him over the cliff.

"Andrew," warned Noah. Andrew sighed and set Vex back on the path. They arrived back home and threw Vex in front of their Fathers.

"Take him to the dungeon, We have prepared Stone bears and ice wolves to guard his cell," said Cole, not happy that he couldn't feed the asshole to the dragon.

"As you wish Father," said Andrew and Noah, bowing slightly to their parents. In the presence of people, they had to maintain a formal status in front of their fathers. The brothers took Vex to his cell.

"Hopefully here you think about your actions, our parents spent years taking down enemies with far more power and influence than you," said Noah as he locked the door. The brothers left to go train with their dad. Zane smiled at his sons as they entered the training room.

"Hey dad," said Andrew

"What are we doing today?" asked Noah

"Today your Pa and I are going to teach you a move that served us well many times," said Zane

"Tornado of Creation?" guessed Noah

"Correct!" smiled Zane

"AW YEAH!" exclaimed Andrew. Cole came into the training room,

"How is this going to work, Andrew has both Lightning and Fire, but he can't do two types of spinjitzu," said Cole

"I have run the possible scenarios through my database and the possibility of failure is far less than it was the first time we performed it," said Zane

"Ok well if you're sure," said Cole.

"Ok so the goal is to combine your spinjitzu and with our's and use it to create something you normally couldn't," said Zane. The boys nodded.

"Alright then, EARTH"

"LIGHTNING, AND FIRE!"

"ICE"

"WATER" the four tornados combined into one. The result was an ice and earth fountain of a dragon that had real flames shooting out of its mouth and crackling lightning in its eyes.

"Awesome," exclaimed the twins as they admired their work. Zane and Cole smiled at each other, pride for their boys in their eyes. There was suddenly a ruckus coming from the dungeon. The echoing nature of the castle allowed them to hear what was going on. Andrew and Noah ran down ahead of their parents to see Vex pinned by the bear. Cole came up behind Zane and his sons.

"Ok, that's it, I'm feeding him to Everest," said Cole. Zane sighed, they hadn't wanted to kill Vex but the guy was too slimy and manipulative to learn any sort of lesson, they had no choice, their job was to protect the realm and Vex was a threat, there was no other merciful option. Cole put stone cuffs on Vex and the emperors led vex outside.

"EVEREST!" called Cole. The massive dragon landed in front of them. Cole pushed Vex in front of the dragon who sniffed him. In one massive bite, Vex was no more.

"Come on boys, I believe it is time for dinner for ourselves, venison steaks," said Zane

"Sweet," said Andrew, deer was his favorite.

"So do you boys have any plans for the rest of the evening?" asked Cole once they were all eating dinner.

"I might try to go back to the Formling village and finish my date," said Noah

"Ah, how is that going?" asked Cole

"Pretty well, she can be a bit stubborn but I really do love her," said Noah

"Perhaps you could bring her here to meet us one afternoon," suggested Zane. Noah blushed.

"Um, not yet, we've only been dating a few weeks and I want to wait a little longer before she comes here, our lives are a bit crazy after all, also her brother is pretty protective of her, much to her dismay, so it might not be a good idea for her to be so far from home," said Noah. Cole gave a quiet hmm and they let the matter drop. That night Andrew knocked on his brother's bedroom door.

"Ok man, spill, what's the real reason you won't bring Akita here?" asked Andrew, setting a hand on his twin's shoulder

"What do you mean?" asked Noah

"Come on Noah, you know Kataru and I go fishing on Saturdays he's my best friend after all, why in the world do you think he has any problem with you dating his little sister, he's pretty easy going for a Bear formling," said Andrew

"I just, well, I want to make sure she's dating me because of who I am and not the fact that I live in a castle and have powers," said Noah. Andrew laughed.

"It's not funny, I'm seriously worried about this! Why are you laughing?" asked Noah, offended.

"I'm laughing because that is absolutely ridiculous, why would she be dating you because you have powers when she is the one who can turn into a fricken three-tailed wolf! Of course, she like you because of who you are, in fact, according to Kataru she won't shut up about how kind and sweet you are and how she loves you because you don't underestimate her and you listen to her. Tell you what, how about we ask both her and Kataru to visit here, I can hang out with my friend and you can watch the sunset with your wolf from the main balcony," said Andrew

"Really? She says that?" asked Noah

"Really," smiled Andrew squeezing his brother's shoulder.

"I'm going to the library, I want to finish that book I've been reading about the magic properties of different teas," said Noah

"I'll come with you," said Andrew. They went into the main library and sat on one of the chairs. There were ice and stone chairs with carved dragons as the backs and there were light blue cushions on all the seats. Noah grabbed his book and Andrew messed around with his lightning powers. After about an hour it was getting too dark for Noah to read by in the center of the room so he went over to the chair closer to the window to read by moonlight. Andrew lit the lanterns and fireplace in the library with his fire powers, creating a warm glow and making the ice walls sparkle. Light bounced off the quilt over the mantle of the fireplace, it's many colors sticking out against the smooth white marble of the fireplace. Andrew stared at it.

"Ever wonder what Ninjago is like?" asked Andrew after a minute. Noah set his book down, marking his page for later, and walked over to look at the quilt.

"Dad and Pa described it to us in detail often, I try not to think about it too much," said Noah

"Yeah, ever wonder why our biological parents didn't want us?" asked Noah, staring at the embroidered square showing Jay and Nya facing off against Nadakhan.

"Dad said they realized they weren't up to being parents, I think it's BS but I'm kinda glad they gave us to Dad, from Pa's stories Jay sounds annoying," said Andrew

"Like you?" smirked Noah. Andrew lightly punched his brother's arm.

"I half hope they do come because I want to punch their lights out for how they treated Dad," said Andrew

"Same," said Noah. Noah stared at the images of the green ninja, part of him wondered what it was like to have that much power, the other part of him wondered if since their family were the only elemental masters to ever exist in the Never realm, would that mean one of them would become the green ninja? And what happened to the balance in Ninjago if Ice and Earth were missing?

"Ever wish you were the green ninja?" asked Noah

"No, I have two powers already, that's plenty of responsibility for me," said Andrew with a laugh

"Oh you're just lazy," said Noah

"No, I just don't want villains hounding me for my power, I like not having the world on my shoulders," said Andrew

"True, I remember when we were first learning to use our powers and you accidentally melted the entire training room," laughed Noah

"Dad fixed it," said Andrew indignantly. Suddenly Zane came into the library,

"What are you two still doing up? It's one in the morning?" said Zane

"Whoops, sorry Dad," said Noah, they blew out the lanterns and extinguished the fire and airjitzued up the center staircase.

"BOYS NO AIRJITZU IN THE HOUSE!" Zane whisper shouted.

"Sorry Dad," said the boys in unison.
