Who do you want to be the Green Ninja of the Never Realm? Noah or Andrew? Leave your vote in the reviews, I look forward to hearing from all of you.
Introducing Akita to their parents went really well, at the moment Noah and Akita were in the training room where he was trying to teach her spinjitzu. She was struggling with the training course.
"Don't be afraid to transform, four legs might give you a better advantage, and your tails will give you better balance," instructed Noah. Akita nodded and turned into a wolf. She took to the course again, finding it much easier now. She completed the course in seconds.
"So why am I not a tornado like you all are when you do spinjitzu?" asked Akita
"Try doing the moves without the course now," said Noah. Akita looked at him like he was crazy but did so, trusting her boyfriend. She quickly broke into a red and white tornado.
"THAT WAS AMAZING!" she exclaimed she pounced on Noah kissing him all over his face. He grinned at her. Andrew then entered with Kataru.
"Woah, I think we just interrupted something," smirked Andrew
"It's not what it looks like! She just mastered spinjitzu and was excited about it," said Andrew, his face red.
"Uhuh, sure bro," smirked Andrew "Anyway, dad said dinner is almost ready,"
"Ok, we'll be up in a bit, what are we having?" asked Noah
"Trout," said Andrew. He and Kataru left the room.
"I have never seen my sister blush that much," laughed Kataru
"A much as he denies it, my brother is very much a hopeless romantic,"said Andrew
"And you aren't?" asked Kataru, lightly punching his best friend's shoulder
"Nope, I play hard to get," said Andrew cooly, leaning against a pillar
"Riiiiiight, I've seen the way you stare all dopey eyed at the daughter of King Grimfax," said Kataru
"What! No I don't!" exclaimed Andrew quickly, a fiery blush on his cheeks.
"Just ask her out, at this point your brother is braver than you," said Kataru
"Yeah but Aurora is a princess and is next in line for the throne," said Andrew
"And you are an elemental master and a prince, your family has been friends with the king since you were little, I'm surprised he hasn't offered to betrothe her to you to solidify the alliance," said Katatru
"Shut up," said Andrew. They walked to the dining room and sat down. Zane brought dinner out just as Akita and Noah entered.
"Boys, we have something to tell you," said Cole a few minutes into the meal.
"Yeah Pa?" asked Noah
"Your father and I have run through many different prophecies and legends concerning both this realm and ninjago. You boys are aware of the Green ninja, the legend, the prophecy and the person," started Cole
"Um yeah, we know all about Uncle Lloyd," said Andrew
"Well we came across something interesting when talking with the chief elder of the great lake, she conversed with the hearth fire and confirmed our suspicions," said Zane
"Dad can you please get to the point," said Andrew, getting bored with his parents dragging this out.
"Ok, in short one of you is going to be the green ninja of the Never realm, we have been in this realm long enough that the prophecy transferred over," said Cole
"But don't we need the golden weapons to determine who it is?" asked Noah
"According to Sorla the prophecy tweaked itself, someone in the cloud kingdom is trying to undo Fenwicks damage but it's been taking a while, in order to determine the new green ninja we are going to have to create new weapons of Spinjitzu and see who they react to. They must be made of platinum and imbued with some of our elemental powers, Andrew will have to help us create them as he has two of the required elements, they will need to be forged in the hearth fire of the great lake," said Zane
"So when do we start?" asked Andrew
"Tomorrow your Pa will go into the mountains and use his powers to extract any platinum in the range, it will be pure platinum without any impurities because it will be extracted at the atomic level," said Zane
"Why can't either of you be the green ninja?" asked Noah
"Because we are of the generation of the first green ninja, you two are second generation and thus applicable to the reset," said Zane
"What your dad said," said Cole. That night Noah and Akita were on the main balcony overlooking the mountains, the snow glittered in the moonlight, the shadow of Everest hunting in the distance caught their attention.
"I would be nice to see a real living dragon, all we have is our power dragons which are just semi corporeal elemental constructs, and Everest which is just a solid elemental construct, but a real flesh an blood dragon would be awesome to see," said Noah
"I think you are avoiding the real topic on your mind," said Akita. Noah sighed
"I know from the stories and the battles depicted on the quilt our parents brought from Ninjago that the life of the green ninja was never really easy, he always had some villain wanting his power in order to take over the world, but part of me really wants to be the green ninja. Andrew has two powers, I only have one, I just want one more element so I can be equal to my brother," sighed Noah
"Neither your brother or your parents look down on you for only having one element, your parents only have one element, didn't you say the only reason he has two in the first place is because the elemental balance had to be kept," said Akita, pulling her boyfriend close to her.
"I know, it's just I want to feel just as powerful as my brother, water isn't one of the core elements of creation, it's a secondary element and therefore not nearly as powerful, it's limited by its surroundings. Dad said our mother couldn't even use her water powers without some kind of water in the vicinity, Dad helped me get past this roadblock and I can create water from my hands like but I still feel subpar to my family," said Noah
"You never showed me this quilt, it sounds amazing," said Akita, trying to change the subject to be more light hearted.
"It is, our parents made it before we were born, back when the team of Ninja were still really close, it's in the library, I can show it to you," said Noah, leading Akita to the library.
"Wow, it's so big, what are those images embroidered on some of the squares?" asked Akita
"Battles and defining moments of the old Ninja team, hand stitched onto squares cut from all the old uniforms they had. Our parents used it to teach us about where we come from and about our powers," said Noah
"They had many enemies," said Akita, staring in awe at the massive quilt.
"Yeah but they always won in the end," said Noah. Akita stared at the quilt, the images embroidered into the soft fabric were all different, even the stitching styles were unique, like they had been done by different people with various sewing capabilities.
"Pa took it from the monastery before Aspheera attacked, the other ninja are probably mad about it but if they haven't come here yet it's very unlikely they ever will," said Noah
"What happens if they do come? What if your biological parents want you back now that they don't have to raise you?" asked Akita. Noah snorted with laughter.
"Then they're going to be in for a shock, they aren't our parents, they gave us up because they didn't want us, Dad didn't have to take us but there was no way he wasn't going to, Pa and Dad are our real parents, genetics be damned," said Noah
"Why don't you tell me about some of the images on this quilt," said Akita
"Sure!" smiled Noah
