Julian ended up focusing the missing of his daughter on is son and Kipling for strangest reasons the two would stay away from him. He started bothering them about what they were going to do besides stay with him and Jewel to carry on family business. Wanting to know if they were interested in giving him grandchildren to spoil in their near future. Bothering the pair about names they could give these future offspring in the form of a list he wrote out. Ready to read the list to them whenever he saw one of them around the shop with his best smile and wiggling his eyebrows. Got him ignored by the two when they walked around him or tried their best to tone him out as they moved. Not that Julian turned up the volume up on his annoyances when he didn't hear anything about little feet being wanted. He ended up leaving scribblings of julius when he was just a toddler through the shop that his Kipling occupies. Always making sure he was alone for Julian to guilt him into convincing julius into thinking about children of their own. Left him to be stared at each time he was done talking with a tilt to his head before thing got creepy. Julian tried the same thing on his son when he spoke about the good old days when the was such a little things.

All came to an end when Jewel figured out what Julian was trying to do with their son and future- son- in- law after a month. She ended up grabbing Julian by the collar of his black jacket and dragged him out of viewing range from strangers. Where she would give him a VERY long lecture on needing to leave the boys alone about kids. Would need time to come to this decision on their own and without his interference no manner how much he pines. He just needed ot find a better outlet for missing his daughter then insisting his son and Kipling have kids. Sharing he wasn't the only that missed their only daughter and Viscount Nairyosangha being here. How she also little feet of grandchildren running about their home with his hair and her eyes. She was willing to wait until the right time or when julius and Kipling were ready to start trying for children. Pointing out he and her finally got their privacy back and now can be alone in a different room without interruption.

Kipling swore if he could to hear about another word about having children from Julian when alone in a room with him. He was going to ram the newest sharp object into Julian's other eye and leave him to become completely blind. Which was a thought he would have shared with julius and make a plan on how they would strike as a team. Came to end when Jewel gave them a thumbs up to tell them they were in the clear with Julian about the not being bothered. They could go on about their merry day without the added pressure to create little lives to fill Julian's void.

"Now that is the weirdest thing I ever seen happen." Kipling spoke to himself.

He then got a odd idea that had him checking wood they had before carving his a new set of animal figurines. These were modeled after after baby animals at play or just in all kinds of sleeping positions. He made sure to make the movement of each one natural to the surroundings with such detail as he could. Before he presented to Jewel during inventory one evening and she brought up they were running out of his figurines. What she got was something that inspired by her husband's nagging in quite a variety. She would end up selling in pairs for the same price since Kipling seemed to be in the mood for making more.

"This is the kindest thank you I have even been given." Jewel looked over Kipling's creations. "Reminds me of Arsa's work."

"Whittles?" Kipling asked becoming interested.

Jewel went to tell of her years living with Asra within her family's shop before she and Julian fell in love, and started their family. She watched as bits of wood would turned in all kinds of things from masks to nick knacks. Filled with careful details placed on the items in the form of certain colors and lines to catch the eye. Sold mostly during peak of the season why tourists come to Vesuvia within one of three markets.

"I may sure to hold on to me and Ilya's masks made by Asra from long ago." Jewel happily smiled.

"Hmmm..." Kipling started thinking.

Jewel wondered he got struck with this time when he walked away from her and the front desk without telling her anything. She ended up finished inventory list for forging tomorrow morning with Muriel during the early hours for herbs. While laying out the new figurines on their usual space on of the eye level shelves for the natives and locals to see. Liking how ever since Kipling started making these little statuettes out of the wood one could find from scrap wood. A extra few coins ended up being made by people who wanted one to buy a few for their children or as a gift.

"Julian!" She sensed him lurking.

He was hidden away near the sitting area used for private tarot readings down by his daughter or wife for someone needing one. Trying to stay out of her range of sight with his fingers crossed in hopes Kipling was telling her about babies. Which ended before he could sneak away to go check in on his son in the clinic for last rounds before closing up.

"Ilya!" She called him by his nickname."You know I can this all day."

He sighed when he mechanically inched toward her with his limbs stiffly moving like a Automata doll. Taking one stepping after another when he slowly neared his wife on backside of the desk with paper pad and pen in hand. Stopping near enough he would move his head to look at her like way hands of a clock move. His eyes trembling with fear as his nostrils slowly took in breaths of air when he barely manged a smile.

"Yes my dearest?" He asked in one breath.

"Why did you bring up the whole children thing in the first place with out son and HIS fiance?" She repeated her question from her lecture.

"I miss the children like innocence of our daughter." He looked from her. "...and wanted it back as offspring."

"And?" She wanted to hear more.

"Shouldn't be putting any pressure on our son for a life choice he will make when he is ready." He spoke though pressed lips.

He ended up have the faint traces of a hand barely brush on is own when she placed something in his hand. Making a suggestion that she wanted to go out tonight after closing up early since she was finishing her duties, early. Being up that they could visit one of the new food stalls while having a quiet stroll around Marketplace.

"That would leave the boys alone." Julian pointed in the direction Kipling walked off.

"And?" Jewel looked at him.

"Our son doesn't share your magical way of...doing things..." Julian swirled his hands around. "Tarot readings and whole homeopathic practices. "

"I am happy he has picked up your scientific brain." Jewel tilted her head with a smile.

She ended up just watching Julian try to use his tired brain to work when trying to figure out why their son and Kipling get left alone. He knew they weren't ready to have kids after the serious talk they had together. The wedding plans were underway to the point nothing further needed to be worked out by them. Every last detail was sorted out to the point the two needed to show up and say their vows like told.

"Do you remember when I first taught you magic?" She asked him.

"That spark we made." He teased. "I still have that special pen."

"He's been shown the same talent." She placed a book down.

Julian made eye contact with something done in elegant hand writing in the form of a hand bond notebook addressed to Jewel. He recalled being told by Jewel her only living blood relative was an aunt that taught her magic. He only met the women actually once in her life when she showed up for their wedding and their travels. She still had appearance of a women in her early 30s with a few wrinkles around her eyes and lips.

"He's getting the basics of palm reading and card reading down." Jewel smiles faintly. "He doesn't have a talent for the tarot cards."

She turned to a page within this notebook that spoke about using playing cards to tell one's fortune for Julian to read. Stating her Aunt made as many notes about the basics in all kinds of magic for her when she was young. Stating she never had any cousins growing up since her aunt didn't marry until after leaving Vesuvia. Since at the moment her aunt was raising what would her only son with her lover across the sea.

"We need to get him a deck of cards and one of those hand sculptures." Julian was filled with joy.

"Then go make your self look pretty while I go feed Cant." Jewel tapped him on the nose.

Julian ended up making his way to his clinic with this big goofy grin on his face until he found his son. Nimble fingers of Aemilia was filing the notes that were taken about patients while julius was reading a medical journal. Making a coughing noise loud enough that head would turn to look at Julian were made.

"Aemilia go fetch a desk of playing cards." Julian put on his best smirk.

"Um...ok..." She hurried off. "I think I know where you keep yours."

"In the draw where mom stores her underclothing and lingerie." julius sighed. "His form of getting her to always play odd card games."

Aemilia didn't understand what was said before she ran off when Julian tried to defend his need to see Jewel in lace and silk. Since she first night when he saw Jewel in white themed intimate apparel with moonlight framing her. Sitting on that wooden table in Mazelinka's kitchen with her hair pitched into a high ponytail. He had to see her like that over and over again until she had him undressed while begging to be touched.

"We already told you, We're just not at the stage to have children." julius warned his father. "Can you..."

He was stopped from further stating the subject that Jewel had made taboo in their house until someone(s) was ready. Ended up being asked to read his old man's fortune using his playing cards before shop was locked up.

"Mom give you a bad reading?" julius asked.

"Want to see if my son has a bit of his mother in him." Julian shrugged.

julius now doing readings like his mother got them a few new customers to the shop in the form of Vesuvia's wealthy elite. A few wanted to be entertained by this change to the shop before even putting down a single coin. Which left most of his free time and days off sitting with them in area of the shop used for private readings all the time. Creating a reputation his father proudly bragged about when he and his mother went drinking at the Rowdy Raven. Not caring about the people that told him to cram the boasting about such none sense when to drunk to defend himself. Left Jewel to lighten the mood with her usual sparkle of magic before mood dead down and she needed to pay. Knowing she would have to send a psychic message to Kipling to come meet her to help take Julian home. Finding the shop was in middle of being closed for the day by someone to tired to put up with his father's drunk self.

Extra coin they started to get from julius could now do came in handy for minor repairs that shop needed from leaky pipes to new doors. Which Jewel got the usual handy men to do since Julian was never good with his hands at this. Not that he tried once and ended up flooding the water closet to the point Jewel ad to ask for help from Nadia with repair work. Which led to Julian never being allowed to fix another damaged thing for the same incident not to happen. Left Julian to come to be bothered by his son one day when asked about another member of the family be barely knew.

"Please don't bring her up." Jewel walked by. "She was never a nice person."

"I never liked what she said about you at our wedding." Julian recalled her comments. "You looked lovely."

Julian stared at her legs with a smirk crossing his face before making a suggestion to Jewel about and knee length dresses. Day they were married was one of many time she wore such a piece of attire in pair of ballet flats and ankle bracelet. Stating she still had those shapely legs and he would never get enough of staring at them for hours on end.

"Didn't she say mom shouldn't be wearing white or how her didn't have the legs for such a dress?" Kipling asked in passing.

"All in one sentence." Julian didn't look away from Jewel's legs.

Out came the playing cards that julius used in his reading for a question about a women his parents refused to allow to visit. He shuffled a few times before cutting the deck and laying his cards down with simple question being asked. Jewel warned him to be careful in what his answer what going to be when he reached for the first card. Ended up being a Queen of Clubs and then the 8 of Hearts he laid down for everyone to gaze upon.

"Isn't this Aunt Tasya said to be strange kind of confident woman?" Kipling asked everyone.

Julian was unable to finish his cup of coffee for a clear answer to be given to the cards that were laying out before them. Jewel blinked a few times as she grew worried at the would the third card ready to be pulled was. Kipling was to busy also remembering that another aunt on Jewel's side still in the mix.

"He may be talking about your aunt." Kipling quickly released the worry.

"Thanks goodness." Julian reclined in his seat.

"She did state in her last letter about coming to visit." Jewel remembered.

Eyes all turned to Jewel when another topic about if her youngest cousin in the form of a male teenager was coming. Notion that had Julian quite excited he never met the young man and only knew him through these letters. They came ever two weeks and smelled of places he has been on his travels over the world. Pieces of written on paper were always filled with news about what was happening or what Jewel's aunt been up too. Little mention of her son since she was very private about what would be her only child.

"Then who are going to except?" Kipling asked.

"This is turning out to be ahead snatcher." Jewel sighed.

She knew Julian was looking forward to making a children in the form of her cousin in their home for this visit. Which she knew he was going to go nuts over since the young men was going to be shy and new to magic. Sigh escape her lips when she slightly moved toward Julian and asked what he thought of her aunt.

"Why?" Julian sad a familiar sadness in her eyes.

"Fact she was able to have a child into her menopausal years." Jewel whispered.

She ended up having her chin lifted by him to look in that Grey eye being that he was still wearing his eye patch. Become assured that he was fine with her and the fact she has already given him wonderful children. He didn't want her putting her body through that kind of stress ever again to create another life. Earned him a kissed on the corner of his mouth, then on his lips. Her excuse was always the same when he made a big thing about not getting a proper kiss.

"Stop tasted like the used coffee grounds after your third cup and then I'll give you a lip lock." She always answered.

Kipling and julius never knew how to put up with when Julian when he still moped about not a proper kiss without Juliana. Seemed the younger Devorak always knew how to get their father to stop thinking about himself and focus. She forget to leave with her brother and Kipling when they watch Julian stare down his cup of coffee with a vengeance.

"Your to addict to that." julius honestly spoke. "So stopping is not going to help."

"He's tried?" Kipling asked.

"Off and on since my mom first got pregnant." julius waved one of his hands from side to side.

He went to say that his father went through a form of phantom pains during both of his mother's pregnancies. Halfly experiencing what Jewel's body went through for nine months carried Juliana and him in the strangest of ways. Sometimes he would have her odd food cravings at midnight or would feel bloated when looking at himself in the mirror. Just he could never get himself to repeatedly stop and start drinking coffee for weeks on end.

"..." Kipling went quiet after that.

Jewel ended up remembering she still needed to write a letter back to her aunt before she went to bed that night. Left Julian to finish drinking his coffee and the notes he needed he still needed to get down before sleeping. Had Kipling coming to agree with Jewel about him drinking coffee at this time to stay awake. Got an eye roll from julius since he was also there the whole time his father was treating people and making home visits.

"No Rowdy Raven tonight?" Kipling and Julius asked each other.

"Pretty much." Jewel sighed.

Julian tried to sum barely smile to say he could still go and he got was a tired grudge that slowly shattered his smile. Brought droopy eyes and large yawn to his lips when he urged needing to stay awake, a bit longer. Got his eyes patched removed by Jewel and another kiss on his forehead to not rush himself.

"I'll wait for as long as you want." She offered him. "Remember to be careful and to over do anything."

He happily nods his head before resting for a few seconds in her exposed cleavage for a bust of energy to work. Slightly moving his head to take in the wiggly effect her chest carried with a widening grin on her face. Before pulling himself away to get serious about what was waiting for him on his desk in his clinic.

"Still can't take him serious?" Julius asked Kipling.

"I can't believe you from that." Kipling crossed his arms. "You take after your mother in personality."

"...but I have my father's looks." Julius waved his head back and fourth.

Two would say their good nights for the time before moving on to to stairs to a shared room the two have called their own. Making sure that playing cards that Julius used were also brought and not left down stairs for their own sake. More like they didn't want to didn't want to find Julian playing around the cards like he usual did when bored or drunk. Trying to find out what he was going to happen the next day to him or what events were going to happen.

"Remember sweetpea." Jewel called after julius. "See you tomorrow morning."

She got her a one of Julian's attempts at making a serious face when he didn't understand what she was talking about. Got him told she and julius got called to The Palace by Portia to show off her son's newest talent to his aunts. One that Nadia had heard about from one of the MANY nobles that come to her afternoon teas. She just had to witness for herself after being behind julius' choice for a education when he was done with school. Fact Portia want to see this was something that had Jewel along to make sure her son wasn't taken advantage.

"So good night and come to bed when you have too." Jewel kissed the side of his face.
