Rudy, Penny, and Snap were playing in ChalkZone when Rudy noticed the time. "Oh no! Penny, we gotta get home quick! It's really late!", Rudy exclaimed. Penny gasped. "Oh no! Let's go then!", she replied. Rudy drew a portal. "Bye, Snap!", Rudy said. Suddenly, Rudy stopped as he was about to step out of the portal. There was a big hole, the hole being the hole of Mount Ebott, the place where monsters were trapped underground. Rudy started to fall, making him scream for help from Penny and Snap. Penny grabbed Rudy's leg, but fell down with him. Snap grabbed Rudy's bag of chalk and jumped out of the portal to try and help, erasing the portal with his foot.
The trio woke up in a bed of yellow flowers. Rudy groaned painfully. "What happened?..", he mumbled, before remembering. "Oh my god! Penny, Snap, where are we?!", Rudy screamed. Penny realized. "We seem to have fallen down into Mount Ebott," she replied. "Y'mean that place you guys told me about where monsters were trapped underground?", Snap exclaimed. "Yes," said Penny. The three noticed a door to walk through. They walked through it and a yellow flower popped up. "Oh! A friendly flower!", Penny exclaimed. The flower smiled innocently at the trio. "Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower!", Flowey exclaimed, smiling sweetly. "Hmm… You three must be new here! Well, I'll show you how things work around here!" The trio got into a "battle".
Flowey smiled. "See those hearts? Those are your SOULS, the very culmination of your beings!", he said. Rudy's soul shined an orange-yellow color. That was the soul of COURAGE. Penny's soul shined a yellow-green color. That was the soul of COURTESY. And Snap's soul shined a lovely orange-red color. That was the soul of AUDACITY. "Now, then. Would you like some LOVE?", Flowey cheered. "Sure!", Rudy replied. Flowey pulled out some pellet seed things. "These are friendliness pellets! Just run into them and you'll get some love!", Flowey grinned, a bit of evil shining in his eyes. Snap noticed, making him feel nervous about Flowey. He leaned over to Rudy and Penny, whispering in their ears. "Uh, bucko and buckette? I don't think we should run into those," he whispered, a hint of fear in his voice. "…Alright, if you say so, Snap," Rudy whispered back. Penny nodded, unsure. The three dodged the pellets, Flowey's smile starting to fade. "…Come on! Run. into. the. bulle- I-I mean friendliness pellets!" Flowey realized that they could see through his act now. Flowey's face turned into a nightmarey face. He grinned menacingly. "You idiots." He surrounded the trio with the bullets. "Die," he hissed. The bullets got closer and closer. The three started to scream. "R-Rudy! You gotta draw s-something!", Snap screamed. Just as Rudy was going to pull out his chalk, the bullets disappeared. They were confused, even Flowey. Then, Flowey got hit by a fireball and went flying away with a scream.
A motherly looking goat in a cozy robe came up to the three. "What a miserable creature torturing such a innocent group of children! Do not be afraid, my children. My name is Toriel. I am the caretaker of the ruins here," she said to them gently. The trio hugged the goat mom. "Thanks for savin' us, buckette!", Snap smiled, feeling safe in Toriel's presence. "You are welcome, child," Toriel said, petting Snap's head softly. "It has been a long time since humans have fallen down here. You three should follow me. I know the ways around in the ruins here." And so, the trio and the goat mom made their way through the ruins. They eventually stopped when they found a ghost lying down on some leaves. The ghost said "z" out loud repeatedly, pretending to sleep. "Are they gone yet?", the ghost mumbled to itself. The three got into a battle with Napstablook. The three spared him, complimenting his hat too. They made it to Toriel's house. After a few events that the author was too lazy to write, the trio opened the ruin doors and stepped into the cold snow of Snowdin.
