It was a few hours after the assembly and everyone was still slightly in shock after the last-minute assembly especially head cheerleader Rita Sanchez. Rita and Cordelia were still awake in the middle of the night discussing the announcement concerning their friendship. Cordelia was lying down in the middle of her double bed opposite Rita's double bed but Rita was standing in front of the wall length mirror to the right of their beds in her red silky pyjamas checking her appearance.
"Would you stop checking?" Cordelia said reassuring Rita
"I can't help it. I don't know if you noticed Cord but the Red Queen has a very large head if you don't remember." Rita snapped back
"Whoa, easy there Ri" Cordelia said as she climbed out of bed to comfort Rita "I know this is scary but just imagine us two as sisters."
"Yeah, two feuding sisters. Emphasis on the FEUD!"
"Yeah, I get that, but they make up remember in the sequel"
"Oh, please Cord no one watches the sequel" Rita retorted at Cordelia and went to bed in a huff. Whilst Cordelia walked out on to their balcony looking up at the stars and quietly prays to herself hoping the situation will not change anything in her and Rita's friendship.
Meanwhile two rooms above the future queens laid awake in her bed, trying to sleep, was Maisie Ann Beaumont, future princess Belle. Wondering why on earth she was the one chosen to be the girl who falls in love with the person who is forcing her to stay in a deserted castle. Her roommates seemed mix if they were happy about their characters there was Kat Little, future Maleficent, who seemed to be very happy about her future character there was also Eliza Ray, future Attina one of Ariel's sisters, she did not seem happy about her character since she wanted to be someone who has an adventure. Maisie sort of felt the same as she wanted to be someone like princess Merida. A princess who does not need a man.
Maisie walked out onto her balcony as well, giving her some time to think about whether she is happy or not with the character she has been given.
"Debating whether you like your character or not?" said a voice behind Maisie giving her a fright. Looking up she saw it was Joan.
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"Because you have the same face as that Natalya chick but to be honest I think she has decided she's happy with it."
"But the difference between me and her is that Kida she's strong, independent and sacrifices herself for the good of her people."
"So does Belle, she's strong, independent and kind. I mean she sort of sacrifices herself to stay in the castle but not like Kida. Just think about that okay." Joan reassured Maisie and climbed to her room diagonal to Maisie's leaving her to think about her future.
Maisie didn't hear Joan mention how she felt though was she not pleased with her character. "What about you?" Maisie asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Well typically when I say how I feel about something you normally respond to how you are feeling." Maisie explained looking up at Joan. Maisie then gestured Joan to come down closer to her. Once Joan climbed down, Maisie demanded her to talk.
"I don't know what you want me to say! Esmerelda is cool; she stands up for what she believes in." Joan argued back. Maisie felt there was something more but she let Joan go on her way back to her room.
Meanwhile in another room Taylor and Adam were discussing how they felt.
"Jiminy Cricket should be fine, he's sort of an icon to have a clear conscience."
"That's it? What about the part where you are a cricket? I don't know about you but I'm not ready to age 60, 70 or who knows how many years." Adam argued back he was now constantly checking to see if any grey hairs were appearing. Taylor, seeing he was freaking out, goes over to comfort him but as soon as he touched Adam's arm he stormed out of the room.
Adam sat against his dorm door, taking it all in, he wasn't ready to fast forward on his life. He placed his head in his hands annoyed at the circumstances.
"You're annoyed as well then?" Adam heard a voice from the side. It was Rita, the girl doomed to a big head.
"Annoyed as I can be. I'm already checking for the grey hairs." Adam responded.
"Hah, I'm the same, I'm checking to see if my head is getting any bigger." Rita remarked. They both took a walk down the hallway, explaining their worries with their characters. Even though they were not similar in personality, they had a special connection.
They finally came to a stop at a window looking out over the countryside. Adam though the moonlight made Rita look stunning and Rita thought the same about Adam in the moonlight. Next thing they knew they were sharing a kiss.
It was wonderful at first but Rita took a moment in and next thing she knew she looked shocked.
"What's wrong?" Adam asked worryingly.
"I can't do this." Rita ran off.
"Do what? Rita!" Even though she was playing the Red Queen he felt very much like Prince Charming when Cinderella ran away. This year was certainly going to be an interesting one.
