Steve
After your initial meeting you and Steve had met a couple of times, and you had grown to be great friends. You had a lot in common and the two of you loved spending time together. The two of you had been going out for walks and getting coffee before, but you didn't really consider them as official dates.
So ofcourse, Steve figured out he liked you a lot and wanted to ask you out. He had been nervous for the entire day, because he was going to ask you during one of your walks through central park. The moment you and Steve reunited, you knew something was up.
"Steve, are you okay? You have been anxious all day" you say and you look at Steve, being generally concerned for him.
"Okay, I won't put this off any longer. Listen Y/N, I really like you and uh.." he says and he rubs his neck awkwardly, "I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me - for real. On a real date."
You look at him, taken aback by what he was asking. This is what you had been hoping for. Steve catches your look and tenses up.
"I mean - or not, if you don't want to. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
You smile and grab onto one of his hands, lacing your fingers with his. "I would love that, Steve."
Tony
Tony called you in the middle of the night, saying that there was an emergency at the Tower. You rushed over there as fast as you could, only to find Tony standing in his lab, perfectly fine.
"Tony, I can't believe - where's the emergency?" you asked him angrily.
"This is the emergency" Tony said with a smirk on his face and he hands you an envelope. "Open it"
You glare at him and open envelope. Inside is a red card, with text on the front. You take it out and read the text. It says "Will you go on a date with me?". You are unable to fully register what the card says. You've been secretly hoping for this, but you didn't think Tony would have the guts to ask you.
"Flip it over" Tony says and he moves closer to you.
You flip the card over and laugh softly. There a three options for you to choose. "Yes, for sure", "Yes" and "Probably". You grin and look at Tony. "You're not giving me an option are you?"
"Of course not, because I know you want to go out with me."
"You know me so well" you say and you grab the pen Tony gives you and you cross out the "yes, for sure" option. You give the card to Tony. "By the way, I still hate you. You made me come here at 1 am, so you're going to feel the consequences, Anthony Edward Stark"
Bruce
It had been another long night working in S.H.I.E.L.D's lab on your new project. You wanted to deliver, and wanted to do it fast, which made you come in early and go home at ungodly hours. You were stressed, but there was one person pulling you through it all; Bruce Banner, who was sat opposite you. He nervously had his eyes on you every couple of minutes.
Bruce finally cleared his throat and spoke; "Y/N, I want to discuss something with you"
"What is it?" You ask, not even looking up from your work, but when he clears his throat again, you do. You were met with a worried expression.
"Y/N, I think it might be a good idea to take a little break from working and have some fun" Bruce said, and his nerves seemed to go away. He smiled softly.
"What did you have in mind?" You ask. You secretly hoped he meant this is a romantic more-than-friends way.
"I thought - perhaps dinner? A great new place just opened up around the corner and I just thought that it would be great to check out.." Bruce rambled.
"Yes, I would love that, Bruce" you say and you smile, "Is this what you have been nervous about all week? Asking me out?"
"No.." Bruce says, but soon looks down and mumbles a quiet yes, after which he looks up and giggles with you.
Thor
Thor was incredibly straight forward in asking you out on a date. Ofcourse he was new to these Midguardian rituals, so he was very blunt.
"Lady Y/N, the Man of Iron has told me that if you wish to court someone, you have to ask them out on a date. Is that so?" Thor had asked you randomly one afternoon.
You looked up from your book and looked at Thor confusedly. "Yes, why?" you ask him after which Thor smiles sweetly.
"Well then Lady Y/N, will you go on a date with me?". You walked up to the god of Thunder and smiled, feeling your cheeks turn red.
"I would love that, Thor".
Loki
Loki had actually asked you out multiple times before you finally said yes. You were hesitant at first. You were new to S.H.I.E.L.D and the team, and you were scared you would ruin the chances of being friends with them if you started dating one of them.
"Y/N.." Loki had approached you as you sat reading a book, which made you turn in suprise. "I know that you have your doubts about going out with me, but I have to admit that I have grown very fond of you. So, Y/N, I'd like to ask you out on a date."
You turn your head, a shocked expression on your face "Did you just ask me out on a date?"
"That is what I asked, yes" Loki says and he nods his head, looking at you expectantly.
Once you recovered from the slight shock, you thought your answer through. It seemed like Loki was really keen on courting you, and you still felt suprised every time that he let you know that he liked you. He put so much effort and attention in making you like him. And you were lying if you said he wasn't attractive.
So you decided, right there and then, that you would go out with him. "Yes, I would like to go out with you"
You saw Loki's eyes grow wide and a smile form on his face as joy spread through him, because you had finally said yes.
Clint
You and Clint were hanging around at the shooting range where you had met after hours. You two were practicing your archery and joking around together, when Clint suddenly hit one of his arrows into one of your targets, breaking one of your arrows in the process.
"Clint? What the hell did you do that for?" you asked him confusedly.
Clint just grinned at you and said: "Just get the arrow".
You glared at him as you walked to the target and pulled the arrow out with one swift move. "And now what?" you ask him slightly annoyingly.
"Just look at it" Clint said and he rubbed his neck.
When you inspected it you saw a paper wrapped around it. You took it off and read the note. It said: "Will you go out with me? Love, Hawky".
You looked at Clint who was grinning widely. "Clint you idiot" you said and you grinned, "Of course I'll go out with you. You could've just asked normally".
Bucky
The past month, you and Bucky had been sparring a lot together. Turned out, the two of you were a pretty good match.
"So, you want to last longer than a minute this time, Y/N?" Bucky asked with a cheeky grin on his face as he took his position in front of you.
"Oh you better be careful Barnes, I will destroy you" You say with an equally mischievous grin on your face. The teasing had become a regular thing. The two fo you always trash-talk each other as a distraction, until the fighting gets too intense.
It didn't take long to reach that point. A few minutes of fighting and teasing later, you're drenched in sweat as an unexpected swing from Bucky makes you stumble at the very last moment. "Distracted by my looks, Y/N?"
If you had to be honest with your feelings, you had a little crush on him. His looks did distract you often, but you were too stubborn to ever admit it. "Never" you say and you swing your fist again, but this time Bucky is faster. He grabs your fist tightly and pulls you to him. Distracted by the sudden loss of distance between eachother, he has you pinned to the floor in an instant.
"Allright, you win" you say and you take Bucky's outstretched hand, getting to your feet.
"Looks like you had quite the work-out, perhaps we should get a bite to eat?" Bucky asks innocently, and you chuckle by the smoothness of him asking you out.
"Are you asking me out?" you ask and you grin, "The answer is yes."
A/N. This chapter is dedicated to the late Chadwick Boseman, who passed away a few days ago. His work will continue to inspire millions, just as he has inspired me in my writing and my art. Rest in peace and power King.
