AN: I'm really excited for this story. All the ideas are just flowing in my head! (If only it could be that way with my recent drawings). Anyways, here's the first official chapter. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 1
Marinette considered herself a good student. Well, before her internal clock changed and didn't switch back, that is.
First day of school and she's already almost late. She was just thankful her parents knew what to expect and greeted her with a piece of toast with an egg on it and handed her a box of macaroons as she zipped out the bakery door. She ran to the crosswalk at the end of the street and waited for the light to turn green as she started munching on her toast. Aww, they know just how I like it. She thought with a smile. She looked up and an old man was crossing the street with a cane. She hardly thought about it when she stuck her toast in her mouth and ran across the street to get him out the way. Unfortunately, she dropped her toast and half of the macaroons.
"Aww, what a disaster. I'm sorry about this." the man said. "How much were those? I can pay you back."
"Oh, no. It's okay! They were from my parents, and they didn't pay anything for them." Marinette reassured him as she heard the five minute bell ring. "Crap! Don't worry about it sir! Be safe okay?" she said as she started running towards the school in a hurry.
The old man then walked away with ease with his cane thrown over his shoulder. He headed towards an alleyway next to the bakery.
"What do you think Tikki? Is she the one?" Master Fu asked as the red and green kwamis came out of his pockets.
"I like her. She saved you without a second thought. You could have gone with a different method though. Maybe not get hit by a car next time?" She said.
"Good. You remember the plan?" Fu asked.
Her face turned skeptical and nervous. "Well, yes I remember it. It feels weird though, not mentioning the black cat."
"This would hopefully be for the better. If we don't force them to be partners from the start, they might not hate each other. But if they do, they won't feel forced to spend time together. It'll hopefully prevent disaster." Wayzz said. He came up with it when Fu chose the two miraculouses. Wayzz knew he wouldn't change his mind, so he came up with this compromise instead.
Fu looked at them with a smile, "Good. I guess this is goodbye. Good luck to you."
Tikki smiled. "As if I need it." she giggled as she was sucked back into the earrings.
Marinette zoomed down the street, jumped the stairs two at a time, burst through the front gate, and zipped to her first class in record time. But, she didn't see the leg of a certain skinny blonde mayor's daughter.
Marinette sighed, looking down at the mess of crumbled treats in front of her. "There goes the rest of the macaroons." She swept up the crumbs of the destroyed macaroons with her palms and dumped them in the trash as Chloe laughed that horrible self-centered laugh of hers. She moved up the steps into Marinette's usual spot and plopped next to Sabrina like she owned the place.
"You never change, huh Marinette? You come in the door moving too fast to notice anything! That was hilarious!" her said between giggles.
"Yeah. Classic Clumsy Marinette." Sabrina, the red-headed sidekick said through her own evil little giggles.
Marinette decided it wasn't worth her time as she looked around for another seat. What surprised her was a new face walking up next to her and glaring at the Demon Duo.
"That's not cool Chloe. I've been here one day and I'm already sick of you. Come on girl." she said as she grabbed Marinette's arm and pulled her in next to her in the front row.
The class quieted down as a teacher walked in, introduced herself as Mrs. Bustier, and started orientation of the class. Marinette soon became bored and she wanted to get to know the new girl, so that's exactly what she did.
"Hey, sorry about Chloe. Thanks for what you did."
"Hey, it's no problem. It's what Madjestia would have done."
"Who is that?" Marinette asked, curious.
The new girl quickly pulled a comic out of her backpack and showed her a picture of a woman flying over a city. She reminded Marinette of Captain Marvel. The new girl continued;
"She says "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing." We are good people, and Barbie over there is evil. Get it?" She said with an excited grin on her face.
Marinette grinned, and decided she liked this person. "I get it. My name is marinette." She said as she opened the box. "Yes! Not all of them were destroyed! Have one."
"Thanks, my name is Alya. It's nice to meet you." The new girl, now known as Alya, said as she took a macaroon.
She and Marinette took their macaroons and tapped them together with the whisper of 'cheers' before eating them in one bite.
Marinette found out quite a bit about Alya over the next few class periods and during lunch. She aspires to be a journalist, loves superheroes, and has two younger sisters. Alya was learning too.
"I like to design clothes." Marinette explained, as they packed up and started heading to study hall.
"Oh my! That's soo cool! Have you made anything?"
"What I'm wearing now, actually."
Alya looked at Marinette's outfit in awe. But her expression soon changed to shock and slight fear when she looked at the ground.
"What's going on?!" Marinette asked as she heard a BOOM coming from outside. She pulled Alya over to a window to look at it. Wait, is that a giant? Stone man? Stone man giant?
They both looked up when the intercom beeped and they heard their principal speak. "Kids, uh, go home I guess. Email your teacher when you do. We don't have a procedure for this." He said in a panicked voice. The whole school started panicking after, either running like headless chickens or burrowing under desks like moles.
Alya, however, looked outside in udder glee as she grabbed her phone and ran.
"Alya! What on earth are you doing!"
"I'm going to be the first person to catch this! If there's a super villain there is always a superhero close by! I'm not going to miss this." She shouted down the hall and immediately turned back around and disappeared.
Marinette booked it home, although it's really not that safer than the school since her house was so close by. She jumped on her chair and wheeled to her laptop to watch the news. Nadja explained the situation.
"...There is a giant running amuc wreaking havoc across paris. Its huge stone stature is destroying buildings faster than a hurricane. The local police and armed forces are trying to take him down." It then showed officer Rogers next to what looked like a military general.
"Don't worry citizens! We'll get this under control in no time!" Rogers said. But just as he said it a soldier walked up to the general from behind and said:
"SIR! Hitting the thing only seems to make it increase its size! What do you command us to do sir?" he said in a trained voice that didn't mask his fear. Rogers and the general just glared at him, they were supposed to be reassuring the public after all.
Back to Nadja."Well there you have it folks, keep in touch and see what happens with this stone man…" Marinette turned it off and tried to take a calming breath. A few seconds later she opened her eyes and noticed the box on her table.
"What's this? I don't remember having something like this." she said to herself as she inspected the box. It was then that she opened it and a glowing red ball floated out of the box.
…
…
...
"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
AN: I really think it would have been cool if the kwamis had a say in who was chosen. I'm going to try and change up the events a little bit so no one feels like it's watching the show again but in words, if that makes sense. Looking back at the picture of Majestia really reminded me of Captain Marvel. Y'all should check it out. Thanks for Reading!
