So literally a couple hours ago I finished The Owl House (all of season one) on Hulu and I am hooked! First female fictional crush became Luz and I'm stuck! I'm sad I can't call her my wife when I turn 18 :(( Oh well, she can be my baby :))

So in typical me fashion, I already got me an OC (don't worry, he actually isn't shipped with anyone) and a full story so here we go! This first chapter takes place during/after 'Adventures in the Elements'.

???'s POV

My gray and black spotted fur and feathers bent easily to the wind's will as the breeze picked up, heading towards my direction. I closed my sky blue eyes as the falling snow charges at my face and I grunt in irritation. I hated the snow and the freezing cold of this island, I wished I could just lay down and sleep in a nice warm house.

Pfft, yeah like anyone would want a horrid beast like me in their home, for all they know I could just be wanting to eaten them up alive.

I can't blame them for being afraid really, I'm a giant monster with only survival instinct to go by and nothing else, I'd be afraid too. It's...only basic commen sense, right? I could only flinch as the wind continued to pick up again and again, like a sharp burst of energy disappearing and then reappearing. It was starting to get on my nerves, and the fact I could now hear voices only made me more annoyed. I stood up on my large paws and I began to slowly head for the source of my irritation. Maybe I'm lucky and it's something I can eat. It took a bit of walking, no use in flying and possibly being hunted down, but I reached my destination, and I can say I was quite surprised at the scene before me.

A few teenage witchlings alongside an old woman were fighting what looked like your typical snow monster. A small dark haired girl was pinned against a tree by a pillar of ice while the monster was struggling to get up. Seems like that pillar may have been used to shove it away from the girl.

Basic magic, it looked like, but a clever way to use it. In fact, a lot of things about that girl in particular seemed odd, but unique. She used paper to perform spells and even then, very basic ones. Odd, usually young witches her age know more than this. She also had round ears which cemented the assumption that she was a human being, that explains the basic magic. Also, her general demeanor was just so bright and pure, like a little kid who's learning about the world for the first time. She looked like the kind of person who can't hate someone to save her life. Which is...

...really stupid, but also kind of admirable..

Maybe she could help me in my, uh...current "situation". I continued to watch on my perch that was a ledge of snow. The other three teenagers, at least one of them, were obviously more skilled as witches than the human was. However, in the end, it was the old woman, who looked oddly familar to me, who finally took care of the beast. She put on a simple sleeping spell onto it. They rejoiced in their victory and I decided to make my presence known, I decide to let out one of my most powerful roars, attempting to alert the group or at least the human. I finish and look back down to look at the witches, all five of them were staring at me in surprise and even some fear from a couple of the young ones. I keep a straight face as I scan their faces, briefly stopping on the old woman, until eventually I stop to look at the dark haired girl more thoroughly. She seemed to notice I was focused on her as well. I flick my tail and dip my head slowly before I turn and decided to leave. She may not get my point yet, but she will when she sees me again.

Which became sooner than I intended because she followed me... humans and their curiosity.

A few steps in, I hear a tired grunt and a call from behind me. C'mon, girl, I was trying to keep a mysterious profile. I turn and see her panting and trying to catch up to me, my instinct to attack her was forced down and I patiently wait for her.

After about a minute or so, she did and I face her completely, keeping a neutral expression. I kind of expected her to ask me endless questions, like she somehow knew I could speak, or something but no, she uh..hugged me.

Wait what?

She squealed in what sounded like excitement as buried her face into the fur on my chest, said squeal becoming muffled halfway through it.

"So fluffy!" She declared, which also came out muffled as she nuzzled my chest. I was left startled and confused as to how to react so I just stood there, letting this human child embrace me like I'm some lost pet. It felt kinda nice and warm, it's been a while since I've gotten any affection from someone. This girl wasnt fazed at all by my threatening appearance nor by the possibility that I could attack her at any time.

Speaking of, I growl as a dull pain ignited from the back of my head...shoot it's starting again..I can't let this girl get hurt, she needs to get away before-

"What's wrong?" A small voice broke through the thought. I look down to see the human had let me go and was looking upward at my face, actually concerned. My growl must've alerted her and my expression only made her worry for me.

What's up with her? She sees a wild beast watching her in the forest, goes up and hugs it, then worries for it when it's in pain. I could've struck her at any moment and she still comes to me.

"Luz! Hey, where'd ya go, kid?" A new voice yelled through my darkening haze and I look in the distance to see the old witch from before was coming up here, obviously looking for the human. Said human, Luz as the witch called her, turned to follow my gaze and she grew fearful. As did I, if that woman sees me, I'm dead. Can't say it's not good timing though, I'm losing control, I shove the girl away from me as gently as I could.

I turn and spread my wings, flapping once then taking off, but the moment I was in the air, a burning pain struck my right wing and I roared in agony. I fall back to the ground onto my side just a few feet from where I took off. I growl and raise my head to look at my hurting wing, seeing a good chunk of it was singed and burning. I can't fly like this! I begin to stand only to realize that I sprained my leg from the fall. I try to stand back up more slowly, snarling, to see the old witch had her hand raised towards me with an expression that looked like she was ready for murder. She attcked me? Luz was now held behind her so thankfully she wasn't hurt. The dark haze is creeping in faster and my eyes turned from blue to a sickly yellow color. I roar again and begin charging at the two of them, lost in my anger and pain.

Then I remember nothing but darkness...
